I really like CVS. The whole Extrabucks thing is the best. You keep getting them like every trip you go to CVS. They are good on anything in the store. Here is a tip: Although it says it is not good on alcohol, it will scan. Some cashiers will do it and some will not. Although this CVS is not the nicest looking, I still go here. The whole Extrabucks thing beats Walgreens Register Rewards because when you spend Extrabucks you still get some back. read more

The incompetence of this pharmacy is hard to describe. Either the store is attempting to save money by understaffing in pharmacy or they are hiring people who are unqualified. The line for assistance is ridiculously long, and when I finally get up to the counter, my prescription is often not ready, with the blame being placed on the Doctor. Same experience this morning, then when pursued, the pharmacist said it would be ready in 15 minutes, so the doctor story was obviously untrue. We are very displeased, but changing pharmacies is a pain. Nevertheless, we'll be checking into it. Our frustration is probably worth it. read more

Palo Alto Medical Foundation wrote a prescription for diabetics medication on Friday to be filled at CVS Brookvale for my 83 year old Mother. She was completely out of the medication and the prescription was to hold her over until Monday. It is Saturday, CVS refuses to fill the prescription because they had not received a "hard copy" of the request from PAMF. They acknowledged receipt by fax/email but because if their internal red tape, refused to give 2 days worth if this medicine, which my Mother is supposed to take 3 times a day. Ridiculous. Frustrating. Unacceptable. I will never shop here again or ever fill another prescription here. read more

Came here for my 4 month's old passport photo. Tina who helped us was super nice and took really good care of taking a nice passport pic of our little one. Before this we had gone to a UPS store and the person there just did not understand how to take a passport pic. Thanks Tina for doing a great job. read more

If I could give this pharmacy a no star review I would. The pharmacist, Benny, would not give me my prescription because the doctor made a mistake in the instructions. What bothered me most is that Benny couldn't even go out of his way to try and make an effort to contact the doctor that prescribed me the item I needed from the pharmacy. I can understand that it is his duty to ensure that customers coming in and out of the pharmacy take the prescribed item correctly. That's fine, but Benny did not call me as he promised nor followed through with me for four days so far. I have not received a voicemail on either of the numbers I gave him to contact me. Furthermore, I will never go to this pharmacy due to his poor service and horrible follow through/promise(s). I cannot imagine what it will be like if I absolutely needed this prescribed item in a dire emergency. These people had the unmitigated gall to call my doctor and tell him that I had requested refills of my prescriptions when I had done no such thing. I am on a few routine prescription meds bu I need to go to the doctor to get refills. We have that arrangement and that is fine with me as I am on Medicare and they pick it up. Out of the blue, I get a call from the pharmacy at thls CVS saying that the pharmacy was not able to refill the prescriptions I had requested, that the doctor had denied the refills. Doesn't that violate HIPAA or something? I no longer trust these people with my health care. read more

This Brookvale CVS Pharmacy has the worst customer service and knowledge of products. The Pharmacist and the staff lack professionalism and are absolutely incompetent. If I had a choice due to my insurance, I would go elsewhere. If you live around North Fremont, do not use this pharmacy. I am not talking about the store. I like the store. The pharmacy at this CVS location is awful. More often than not, they are unprepared and tell you that your prescription is ready when it's not or that they never received the prescription when it's sitting right in front of their faces. Had to go through hell to get them to fill in a prescription that they have filled many times before. I called, the doctor's office called, sent the prescription numerous times and still nothing. Definitely not worth the time spent dealing with these people and will no longer get prescriptions filled here. read more

This review is purely about a guy named "Chris" who seems to be some kind of manager at this location. I came into this CVS to pick up an rx only to find out that it had closed 10 minutes before I arrived. I saw a man (Chris) behind the pharmacy counter so I asked if I could pick up my rx at a different CVS since I needed to have it that day. He said he was "pretty sure" I could pick it up at the Hub location since it was 24 hours but that it'd be a process for them to perform because it was a transfer. Since he was only "pretty sure" I asked him if he could please call the CVS at the Hub for me just to make sure that they could process this rx for me. There was no point in making the drive and spending my precious weekend time driving there just to figure out that they couldn't process it. Chris told me that they would definitely fill it and refused to call them on the phone. I then asked for his name just for verification (in case it turned out that they couldn't fill it) and he told me "Chris", and giggled afterwards, acting as if I was silly to ask him for his name. He was wearing no identification and was dressed pretty sloppily. Not what you'd expect from a manager or someone who wasn't working at the checkstand. I then went to the other location only to find that Chris was not informed and I was not able to fill the rx. Chris could have saved me a lot of time and frustration if he had just called the other location to verify the policy. I have filed a complaint on CVS.com so hopefully someone higher up can stress to Chris that he needs to verify policies before telling customers about anything pharmacy related. He clearly doesn't know his stuff and should be happy to go out of his way to please customers. read more

I am not usually a CVS shopper, but that will be changing for the Brookvale location. I had such good customer service from Robyne a few nights ago when I was hunting for a particular seasonal item. The store looks good after the remodeling, but the merchandise is horrible, I bought a few bags of candies and cookies, they all tastes old and the chocolates had a white powder on them, I couldn't find my recipte to return them, they should have better merchandise on the floor, also very limited help from the clerks. read more

I won't be returning to this CVS. Mohamed, the manager, is an unstable personality who cannot seem to reign in his emotions in order to deal professionally with customers. He was polite once, several months ago, but was coming undone at my last visit. He seems to have a hard time handling the stress of the job. When he was nice, the store was empty and no demands were being made on his time. Last night, he was freaking out and telling me all his problems (as a way of explaining why the wait was so long for checking out). Valerie, the cashier, was like a Stepford cashier. No expression, no communication, no eye contact. When I asked if I could be checked out, as there were NO cashiers working, there was no response from either her or Mohamed, who were both standing in the photo section. Terrible customer service and prices are higher than many other places. Although close to me, I am boycotting this place! If you value your time (lines move very slow), I'd avoid this store. read more

I would not come back ever to this cvs especially if i have to deal with their very unprofessional n rude n very poor customer service assistant manager in the evening his name Mohammed he's rude n he don't need to be an assistant manager if he don't know how to talk and deal with customer. I went there tonight to meet my friend and drop off her coupon inserts while I walked to the back to check if they have unstoppable n bounce burst my friend was yelling for me to come back to the front so I went to her and she told me that man took my coupons he just walked up to her n grab the coupon book out of her shopping cart and took it and said that we're not suppose to bring a lots of coupon inside the store who the hell I does that what gives him the right to grab our coupon book n I told him he need to give it back he has no right to touch our stuff and he said it should be distributed to the people we told him that's none of his business we bought the coupons with our money. Robyne and Margaret were the cashier working they were really nice and helpful to me and my friend hope cvs management is reading this but people like Mohammed don't need to be manager and gives cvs bad names. we felt like we're being discriminated since we're using coupons and its not illegal to used coupon so that's why I'm giving them a no star Mohammed need to retired if you can't deal with customer and you being crouchie makes people like us don't want to come to cvs and if my friend goes to cvs at 9-9:30 he would ask my friend why you coming to the store late it's none of his damn business read more

I am not surprised with one and two stars in the reviews for this pharmacy. I am talking about the actual pharmacy at the back of this store. This pharmacy has the most inefficient staff. They take forever helping customers waiting in line. They have a few registers, but the one or two person behind the counter almost try to avoid you. They totally lack customer service. The pharmacist, an indian lady, is incompetent and lousy. All she is trying to do is justify that they are busy and trying to help. She forgets it is a business and there is such a thing as customer service. The techs might be trying the best, but the pharmacist and the management of this place is completely incompetent in serving its customers. If I didn't have to use them for my medications, I would go somewhere else. Terrible service. If you can avoid, please do so. You will be much happy with the service at some other pharmacy. read more
