What a totally miserable place to shop! Get in line to buy a simple item and the one cashier is dealing with the shopper with 25 old receipts each with a dime off. The nature of their coupons, which are printed on your receipt cause this. Sure it gets customers back in to use the coupon but since the coupon is linked to your CVS card why do you need to keep the paper? In a 21st century world once your customer number hit the POS computer all your earned discounts would be subtracted. Go to pick up a prescription and wait behind three or four people who all need to call their doctor, fight about insurance etc. It's not the patients fault, it's the fact that CVS only staffs one pharmacy clerk per shift. You can see it in the eyes of the overworked pharmacist who knows if she goes to help they'll just be more backed up. Bottom line, CVS as a company does not want to increase payroll even though I suspect no one there is making any real money. Time to move to Haller's. read more

I always have a hard time picking up my prescriptions at this place. For some reason the pharmacist always wants to short me. For example if my doctor writes a prescription for 60 pills and states on the prescription that it will last me 30 days - the pharmacist will take it upon herself to dispense only 30 pills and tell me that they should last a month. She will do this on multiple prescriptions. I have no trouble at all getting the correct quantity at other pharmacies even at other CVS/Pharmacies. And, as a matter of fact, I now drive to the CVS that is located in Milpitas so that I can get the proper quantity and avoid the hassle of dealing with a rude pharmacist. . read more

This is for the sales associate ( didnt get her name) who was on duty on 17-March-2016 @ closing time around 9:00 PM .. I was the last customer to bill my items and was walking to my car when my husband ( who tried to come into cvs but was not let in as they closing ) was walking me and was walking to his car ( as we came in separate cars) ...suddenly I felt a tap on my shoulder and it was the sales associate from CVS has come to check if I was fine or was being disturbed by the stranger whom they didnt let inside the store... I love shopping at Longs because you can save some money here on seasonal items. I come here for decorations, small Christmas gifts for people I don't know well, and gardening supplies. I'm a container gardening enthusiast and I can get the same pots and supplies that I get elsewhere for much cheaper here. Sometimes they have a nice selection of healthy looking plants which are also cheap. Plus, there supplies randomly go on sale and then they're really cheap. I've never been to the pharmacy, but the sales people have always been nice to me. I always check the cosmetics and toiletries while I'm there to see if they're on sale and have gotten some great deals there too. The Fremont Hub location is a bit nicer. read more

There was nothing particularly exciting about this store. They had what I was looking for. I needed a pair of fake eyelashes. I found them, I bought them, and I left. I glued the eyelashes to my forehead and decided I need more practice. Couldn't go to the Wedding with a third eyelash connecting my two eye brows together. From the outside, I thought this was going to be a beautiful new CVS. Like Sonja G. I am also from the East Coast, Boston, home of the CVS and I was pretty excited to move to Fremont with what I thought was a nice big new CVS. Sadly, this ex-Long's barely got a paint job to update it. The carpet is yucky. It just feels big and empty and 1975. It does not feel like a modern convenient CVS. I second the complaint against the CVS Care Card thingy. You just have to break down and sign up for one, I guess. +1 for cheap Diet Coke for their opening. read more

You all should know by now how much I love Long's drugs well this one was just OK, nothing spectacular it was actually pretty messy inside and I've seen better! I stopped in really quick for a seasonal item because Long's is so well known for great seasonal's and I did find what I needed and fast but holy mongrels it was $15 bucks and for a small kids pool which would of probably sprung a leak real quick I only wanted to spend no more then $8 bucks I know I'm cheap but it was a nice day and I wanted my kid to have a great time at Great Grandmas house but not for fifteen bucks screw that crap...............so I left not buying anything! This CVS in Brookvale SUCKS!!! Mom goes to photo to get 3X5, they quoted $.25e. (8X10 is $3.99) They printed 2 poses and she wanted 2 3X5 each, they charged her $3.99 because size add up to a 8X10. It is no longer $.25 each. Furthermore, the dumb clerk shred the other pictures in front of her thinking my mom would jump the counter to steal them from the trash. This is how they make money? I came there this morning to pick up money that my brother send me from Moneygram. 8:15am today -7/28/19 this cashier ask for the reference number and she entered it to her register. She said called Moneygram. I said maybe she entered the reference number wrong. She did it 3 times and she cannot help me. Instead she told me call your brother that sent the money! She is very rude and nasty! So, I went to another cvs pharmacy. At the hub. The cashier at the hub told me that she shld let you enter your information on the other kiosk that's why my reference number is invalid. The cashier at the hub was nice enough to help me out and I got my money. I called the manager at cvs hub and complain about this lady. He apologize to me and said he will discipline her. I'm a disabled person with my 4 wheel walker and I was not treated well enough with deciency and respect by the cashier at cvs Fremont hub! Don't go there! I'm definitely not a fan of this store- The pharmacy has frustrated me to no end with its ditzy techs who promise drugs are in stock when they aren't, can't recognize prescription forms, and put drugs in my shopping bag without their paperwork. The final straw with this location came after I walked three blocks to pick up a prescription I had left earlier, only to be told they were out of a common medication (no call?) Not to worry, though, it would be in tomorrow morning. After asking for reassurances we were promised the medication would be available and not to worry. So we walked back the next day to hear the medication was again not in stock and due to its rarity would not be any time soon (believe me, it was NOT a 'rare' medicine by any standard of rarity!) read more

The location of the store is pretty convenient, along with Lucky's, Starbucks, and many others. There is a huge parking lot for all the shoppers and it's never packed, which is nice. I come here only for the pharmacy since it is very close to where I am. I come during random times whenever I need to refill my prescription. The store itself is very organized and clean. All the items are pretty much placed in the same way as other branches. There usually isn't a very long line, but maybe during like lunch hours when people are free to come by and pick up their prescription. They don't have that many people working at once either. They usually have just one person at the register and a few pharmacy technicians and pharmacists in the back doing work. They don't take long to get my prescription either since I go when it's ready to be picked up. The staff are very nice and they work efficiently as they get your prescription(s) to you. Overall, the pharmacy here is great. I haven't really been to any other ones except for Kaiser, but that's a different story. I just like that I can come and pick up my prescription within a very short time. read more

This review is for the Pharmacy. My mother was scheduled to have surgery and needed 3 medications. Her normal pharmacy is Target, but after promising and failing to provide one of the meds, Target called CVS for help. My mother had already missed a dose due to a mix up with Target, so getting the medicine the same day was a must (surgery was the next day). Not only was CVS there when we needed them most, Benny helped us get the medication $100 less than what Target was going to charge us. My mother wasn't fully covered but Benny pulled every string and searched for every discount to make it more affordable for us. Wooohoooo!!! I was ready to check out but no cashier at any stations.I decided to use the Self-Checkout and went through the whole scanning of 16-items and was told could not checkout due to the cashier(young lady)said she does not have authorize card to scan or proceed to complete the transaction.The cashier offered to re-scan every items at her station without first cancel the Self-Checkout situation.I refused to cautious what if double scanning and charging in CVS cashier systems.The young lady has an attitude not bother to explain and feel I(as customer)as unreasonable.I asked how long I have to wait for her help(supervisor who has the card)she said she does not know(attitude she does not care how long I have to wait).Another cashier(also young lady with the scan card)blamed me for the situation and keep making excuses I refused the re-scan of all items. My point is they both simply apologize for the delay or redo or wait to solve the odd situation instead. read more

Not so friendly staff (Annamma) on the pharmacy. Coming to pick up my son's prescription, the staff told me that I need to wait for 15-20 minutes because the pharmacist was still having lunch. They should hire at least 2 pharmacist then so they can take turn having lunch. No smile given or any sorry when I expressed my concern since I'm in a rush. Just said that I have to wait and she called another customer. I'm not even being told if I should line up again or she will call me if the pharmacist back, no further instruction or explanation. read more

This is the WORST pharmacy EVER. I waited an hour to get a flu shot. I had called earlier to ask to process my paperwork before hand, but the lady said that she could not do that. I had previously gone to a CVS in San Marcos for a flu shot and the pharmacist there was able to process my information and I was in and out in 10 min. After waiting 40 min I had enough so I walked to the counter and the guy at the register said have you filled out your paperwork. I waited 40 min and they did not give me any paperwork. That is absolutely not acceptable. I will never go to this CVS again. Worst customer service! read more

Customer Service at this CVS in the Brookvale Shopping Center has some super nice staff members. Due to health issues and temporarily impaired mobility, I've shopped at this store more often than in the past. I have been impressed with the EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE I have received.... whether from a young Latino male staff member who was gracious, helpful and efficient on a previous visit last week, or today, when "Tina" went out of her way not once but twice to assist me with locating items AND bringing them down from the high shelving and placing them in my shopping cart. Kudos to "Tina" for her beautiful smile, her great disposition and her genuine warmth and willingness to assist customers. "Tina" is an asset to CVS Brookvale! read more

I wish I could give this location 3.5 stars but yelp does not let me do it. Initially, I was thrilled when I heard CVS pharmacy was opening it's stores in Fremont. Being from the East Coast originally, I was a fan of CVS there. Well, that was some 12 years ago and things have changed quite a bit. Their own brand vitamins, Calcium supplements, folic acid etc is fantastic. Unlike many store brand meds there pills are not powdery or irregular shaped. I also find their Calcium supplements to be more gentle on the stomach. Their pharmacy seemed understaffed (about couple of weeks ago) but people were helpful and there were no long lines unlike Walgreens, so that is a plus. Thier shelves seemed to be stacked with all the stuff in right amount and it's fairly easy to find what you are looking for. So why did I take 2 stars off: Their Extra Care card and the stupid coupon system: This is something that seems to be causing some confusion and some agony--here's what happened. A very decent lady was checking out some 6 to 8 things and had three different coupons with her. The CVS staff person who was helping her at the register started lecturing the lady that her coupons belonged to two different cards (hmm, it seems every time you check out and scan your "CVS extra care card", they then print out a bunch of coupons for you to use)-- the story is that these coupons are only good with the extra care card that was scanned. The lady in front of me told them that her husband and she had different cards as given by one of CVS staffs, therefore, coupons belonging to two different cards. She also gave her home number and it was confirmed that the second card did in fact belong to her husband. However, the lady at register started being unnecessarily rude and saying, "don't teach me how to do my Job", "You cannot have two different cards"..huh? Then there were more arguments, valid argument from the customer and brash and rude talk from the CVS register lady. Meanwhile I continue to wait for something like 15 minutes in the line with just 1 B-day greeting card in my hand. !5 minutes turn to 20 and other staff starts gathering around the asile-- but no one wants to open up another asile. Finally, some bright lady opens another register and I get to breath fresh air. Well so here is what bothers me-- Walgreens is more efficient than CVS as far as check out goes. Also, is it possible that CVS imported their staff from the great State of New Jersey? Cause for the last 12 years, I was kind of missing these thick skulled arguments and rudeness from people behind the registers..hmm..what do you think? Oh, never mind, I am just kidding! In any case, I would think that their staff needs some training.. read more

I'm only giving one star because of the front staff when you enter the store. The store portion is fine, nice friendly people. However, the pharmacy, I suggest you go to Walgreens. I went there a couple times, they always have an attitude and never have anything in stock. Anyways so I went today, 100 degree weather, so I asked the staff if I could bring my small dog carried in, which they said it was fine. When I go to pharmacy, the two Indian ladies checked us from up and down, made a comment and made a cringe face. It's funny because they looked me dead in the eye. It was rude and inappropriate. I used to really like Longs because they have a great selection of merchandise. This review is specific to their pharmacy which I had a terrible experience. I called in to transfer a prescription and gave them all the information - they said it'd be ready by 5pm that day. When I showed up, they didn't have any record of it. Unfortunately, it was a Friday so I was SOL. I ended up getting it transferred to Costco which turned out to be a way better deal - about 1/2 the price! read more

I have to say that this Pharmacy has done a lot better. They always have my prescription when I go now, and when I'm in line the lady behind the desk is always reassuring they will be right with me. So nice from before when they acted like they didn't even see you there. The new ladies that work there are so sweet and helpful. I feel that CVS charges way too much for everyday items and I'm not a fan of the store layout either. They usually only have one register open and the lines can be long. DO NOT USE THIS CRAPPY PHARMACY!!! So I got multiple msg that my prescription is ready for pick up. I finally scheduled time to come out when the pharmacy is open and guess what? The pharmacist is on lunch break (@7:48 pm) so I would have to wait for 20-30 min for her to come back. Really??? What the &$#%@!!! They gave some BS reason that my prescription is new so by state law, they need for pharmacist to do it. There were 3 customers after me that they couldn't give their meds to either, including ones with renewing prescription. TERRIBLE customer service with unreasonable protocol and morons at the counter. read more
