Duke's sausages in hard to find flavors. 4/3/22

I have been using this pharmacy for the past 3 years and I have always had a great experience. My prescriptions have always been ready quickly. I receive text messages telling me my prescriptions are ready for pick-up. I had received an automated call to pick up my order but I couldn't come the day they were made available. 2 days later (today) I received a text reminder they were ready. So I went o pick it up. The pick-up line wasn't too long, only 2 people in front of me and it moved along quickly. I decided to look around and found some things I haven't seen before like Reese's dipped pretzels and Duke's Peach BBQ smoked sausages. You are going to pay more for food items here. Duke's are normally $5.99 at Target and they were $7.99 here. Also the Bang energy drinks were $0.90 more than at Target and the flavors were the very common ones you can find anywhere. But you are paying for convenience here. I am not sure when they started offering a self check-out but this was a first time I used it. The staff in the pharmacy and the store are always very nice and attentive.

Decent mix of standard CVS products. Pretty good snacks section. Employees helpful and accommodating. Across the parking lot from United Health Centers clinic and urgent care. Wide aisles not too cluttered with displays.

They have a dedicated parking space for families with young children. I love this!!!

My boyfriend called to see if you were fixed yet, since it had been a few weeks, but then he was told they don't have one. He checked later on, and they still had it, but it was still broken. She was great, but I guess once I turned in my request, she couldn't help me further. No one called me or texted from here with updates. Every time I stopped in to check the status of my transfer, various dumb things happened at the pick up side. My favorite was a guy kept saying he couldn't help me unless I had a prescription number. After I explained I didn't have one because it was a new prescription (transfer) I requested, he asked "what is the prescription number?" I walked away and eventually got a new prescription from my doctor. Today, at about 11:45am on a Saturday, I needed help. I am extremely conscious of retail and the stresses put on employees and on-site management in 2025. So, I've been wanting to ask about this for several weeks. I have not bothered a cashier or anyone else with this issue, when they have active customers in the store. Today, it was empty. I approached the cashier and explained to that we drink 10-20 bottles of Crystal Geyser a day, and for the last several years I have been able to recycle the bottles using the reverse vending machine in this store which is provided through grant money and CalRecycle. For three months, our bottles (which can't be crushed for this process) are building up in the garage. This machine in this store has been rejecting every brand of water, soda, and beer containers for this last 3 months. When the manager came out, he was rude and condescending. He seemed annoyed with the machine and took it out on me. He showed me the bins where the machine deposits the cans and bottles it receives. There were 4 or 5 in the bottom of the bins and they were all blu, so maybe the software got changed (the interface definitely has changed) and it's not recognizing certain brands. Blue cans would be Pepsi or Budweiser. Anyway, I tried to have a reasoned, intelligent conversation with this guy, and he just kept getting more and more surly and pissed off. I realize it's not a profit center and emptying the machine is something nobody there wants to do, but when he refused to accept my bottles (which he's required by law to do) that I had in boxes so they can easily be counted, and just pointed at the machine that won't work, I left as he went back into hiding.
