We've been to the waffle place a couple of times and each time it has been fantastic. Though busy the wait was not long and Isaac, the personable host at the door, got us in quickly. I informed our server Blair that I had celiac disease and wanted to order from the gluten-free menu, but needed her help to keep me safe. She was fantastic in every way! She made sure the kitchen knew about my needs and took great care that everything was done right. That was really comforting and made me return - and the gluten free waffles and pancakes are awesome! Weekend brunch spots in Fresno are hit or miss but The Waffle Place is consistently a hit. Been here probably six or seven times and it hasn't disappointed yet. The waffles are obviously the move. Crispy outside, fluffy inside, and the topping options are actually fun. Not just syrup and butter, like real combinations that work together. The portions are generous too, I've never left here hungry. They also do savory breakfast stuff that's really good if you're not in a sweet mood. The whole menu is just solid across the board. It closes at 2pm so you gotta plan accordingly. Gets busy on weekends which tells you everything you need to know. I'd recommend getting there a little early or just being prepared to wait, its worth it. Service is warm and the place has a good energy. The amount of food was good, the eggs were delicious, as were the sausage and bacon. The potatoes were good though some were still a bit too hard/undercooked. The waffle was airy and tasty - but maybe too airy - it didn't hold together and split in had every bite. My wife had a Denver Omelette and a pancake. Both were good, but not spectacular. First time here. Place is clean. Busy so service takes awhile. We were seated almost right away but took about 5-10 minutes to get menus. Then another 5-10 minutes to place our order. Power kept going in and out about 3-5 times. Waiter was kind and the waitress that brought me the rest of my food. I got my entree maybe 10 minutes before my son, and had to ask for my fruit and toast twice because it wasn't brought with meal, got it after I was almost done with entree so 15 minutes. Our waiter.......He was such a ball of energy and fun! You just didn't expect him to be so hilarious! We all got the fresh squeezed apple juice! Never had it before, it was really good. Lots of pulp on top, and sweet. The longer you drink it, the sweeter it got. I could have diluted it a bit, but I didn't think about it at the time. You KNOW this is my third review in as many months but I just can't get over what a great time I've had here!! I took my sisters here for a fun breakfast and we had such a great time!
