By far the best CVS Pharmacy I've ever been to! The manager and the entire team are incredibly helpful, friendly, and genuinely care about their customers. They truly work from the heart and always go above and beyond to provide excellent service. Special thanks to the rest of the staff for their kindness, professionalism, and dedication. Every visit is a great experience because of them. Highly recommended!

So stinky! Smells like people just pee all over the place, and it hasn't been clean in forever. Just gross.

Pharmacy does its best to help every time I've been in here. I don't know why this store has such a low rating in yelp.

I have been coming to this pharmacy since moving to Los Feliz in 2001. I would never go anywhere else. I have never ONCE had any issues with "slow service" or "friendliness" -- i never thought about whether they were "friendly" -- what i HAVE noticed is that they are extremely good at their jobs, and extremely helpful. Numerous times pharmacists there have gone the extra mile for me Perhaps they like me more than others. Sometimes I wonder how well reviewers themselves would score if THEY were being reviewed re their "friendliness" or "professionalism" or "knowing what they are doing" -- my hunch is: often very low. There is nothing at all wrong with this pharmacy in my vast experience with them and many others prior. It's also housed in one of the most laid-back,pleasant, and FRIENDLY, supermarkets anywhere -- and I mean ANYWHERE.

There's a male staff member here - he's large, probably in his 30s-40s with horrible hair - who is nothing short of a bully and who seems to get some kind of weird delight out of messing with patients and ruining their day; not only that, he's on some kind of power trip that makes him downright dangerous. For example, when COVID was at its peak, I was given priority status for the vaccine by my doctor because of my respiratory issues. When I showed up to get the vaccine, this guy refused to give it to me despite my GP's authorization because I'm young, and said, "It's only for old people right now." I showed him the CDC guidelines and my doctor's note again, and he rolled his eyes and said, "I don't think that's a real note, sorry. Hope you survive though." It was insane. I went to a CVS afterwards and they did it right away. The real kick in the teeth came the other day. I went in to pick up a prescription, not realizing that it had been sent to a different pharmacy since I'd recently been in the hospital, and it had been sent to one near the hospital by mistake. The text alert I got was the same as always, though, and still said "Savon" etc., so I simply misread it. I went into the Albertson's on Hillhurst and to my great misery realized the jerk was working, but I grit my teeth, got to the counter and gave him my DOB and name. He then typed some stuff into the computer: "Do you have your confirmation text?" he asked. I showed it to him. He frowned exaggeratedly, went to the back, pretended to search, then came back and said, "Huh, that's funny - I can't find it. Oh, wait, sorry - actually I just don't think you can READ." And he pointed at my phone: "Look at that text. Does that say 'Hillhurst' to you? With an 'H'? Can you spell?" I was completely stunned. I literally had only given him my date of birth and my name and the words "thank you." That was it. And that's what I got back. I just turned around without saying anything and left. This man is garbage bag. He should not be allowed to interact with the general public let alone concerning things as sensitive, delicate and emotional as medications and peoples' health. I've never found out his name, but if anyone knows who I'm talking about please name him in your review and complain in-store if he mistreats you. I was so shocked that I could do nothing but walk away, and I wish I had said something to management. He is genuinely going to do real harm to someone one day if he hasn't already. Horrible.

It was my first time coming to this store but totally put off by such bad energy and for especially rolling his eyes at me JUST for asking a kind question. However, Enrique was very nice and helpful as soon as I entered the store to the closing. When I told him about his coworker he even apologize to me on his behalf, even though it was not his fault. Word to Mr. Cashier Eddie. You work for a company that pays you to work them in return to treat their customers politely and kindly. The customers pay the bills and keep the doors open, remember that. This is NOT your company, so you cannot just treat people any kind of way and out of respect and interest of the company overall, this should be a reminder to you. If you don't like your job that's fine, get another job. But if you don't like the customers for whatever reason it may be, be it the way they look or simply just because your having a bad day doesn't not give you the right to roll your eyes at them or give them an attitude. REMEMBER, I THE CUSTOMER PAYS YOUR SALARY.

The two women who usually work as pharmacists are wonderful -- kind, attentive, and they somehow remember me even if I haven't been in for months. I've come to this pharmacy because of them, despite the general disarray of this Vons. But tonight was a very different story. My dentist sent over a prescription to address significant oral pain, and I went in hoping to get it filled quickly. When I arrived, there was no one in line, but I was completely ignored for a long time. When I asked for help, I was told my prescription wasn't in their system. After insisting that it had been sent, the gentleman at the register (rude) checked again -- reluctantly -- and discovered that yes, it was there. Instead of apologizing, he told me I'd have to wait for 40 minutes because there were "a hundred prescriptions" ahead of mine. (There were three people behind me.) By this time, I was in real pain. When I asked to have my prescription transferred elsewhere, I was told they couldn't do that -- though any California pharmacy is legally required to transfer a prescription upon request. By this point I was in serious pain, didn't want to frustrate the few other customers waiting, and was in no shape to wander around the sketchy Vons for 40 minutes -- so I left, hoping that ibuprofen would get me through the night. It's such a shame -- this used to be a bright spot thanks to the daytime pharmacists; but tonight's experience was unprofessional, dismissive, and frankly heartless. The store itself feels increasingly unsafe; I've seen arguments and fights in the parking lot. Bottom line: I can't recommend this pharmacy anymore. Unless the management addresses these staffing and safety issues, stay away.

After my psychiatrist submitted a prescription about a week in advance, I called to check on the status since the medication requires in-person pickup. The pharmacy technician, Afsenah, immediately responded with a condescending tone, saying "I wish you would've called earlier," which felt unnecessary and unprofessional. After placing me on hold, she came back and told me the medication wasn't carried there and that I should have called ahead. As a patient, I rely on the pharmacy to communicate any issues with prescriptions--especially when they've had several days to review them. When I tried to understand this policy (which had never been explained to me), she became increasingly dismissive and asked, "Are you going to let me speak?" in an aggressive tone. Instead of resolving the situation, she told me to call her manager, Jason, who would be in on Monday. At that point, I was already frustrated because my medication wasn't ready and wouldn't be available until then, so being met with attitude for simply checking the status made the situation worse. What added to the confusion is that her explanation of their policy contradicted my previous experience, where I had received a proactive call from the pharmacy regarding insurance. I understand that pharmacies have policies, but the lack of communication and the disrespectful tone I experienced were unacceptable. If a medication isn't carried, I would expect either that it be ordered or that the patient be notified in advance so they can make other arrangements. I hope this feedback leads to better communication and more respectful customer service moving forward.

I've been loyal and grateful to AHF for the past 3+ years since they offer free home delivery and make filling scripts a breeze. I'm connected to a pharmacist within a minute of calling and they are always attentive, helpful, and get the Job done. It's crazy how other pharmacies have completely eliminated the ability to speak to a human without a call back. Over the years, several pharmacists have resolved coverage/billing issues after calling my PBM. The best thing about AHF is that everything just shows up at my door month after month. They do the refill requests, refill as soon as it's covered, and even the delivery man sends a picture confirming that my meds have been dropped off at my doorstep!!! The only time I have to call them is when I have a new RX or when they reach out for the yearly patient checkup. While their top level leadership may be deeply questionable, the pharmacists and staff at AHF are the best. They're the reason I've used AHF for the last few years and will continue to do so.

I prefer to support local businesses and Sun Drug seemed to be family owned (after Nick). They do compounding prescriptions, which is a specialty and you'll pay for it (insurance does not cover it). I've had my compounding done at Sun Drug for many years (maybe five) and mostly the experience has been pleasant, not perfect. It can be a bit chaotic. Compounding can take 24-48 hours and Sun Drug mostly gets it within that time frame (they don't always have all the ingredients on hand). My doctor faxed in a new Rx for my compounding medication. It's a two-part Rx, meaning that I have two topical Rx that work together, a balance. I've been getting this same set up from Sun for at least five years. I don't know exactly what happened this time, but it was a total mess up and scared me. The Rx was faxed on Wednesday, Sun called me Monday that it was ready. I got there, only half the Rx was ready and something didn't feel right. The woman immediately argued with me that the doctor didn't send it in the second half (the doctor's office said they sent it but give the pharmacy the benefit that maybe they didn't and I accept that). She didn't want to engage in a solution, she wouldn't be helpful. Then I asked how the formula was changed and she told me completely opposite to how it was supposed to be changed (mixed up the amount of two powerful ingredients). Again, argued with me. She finally went back and checked the fax and apologized for being wrong. I looked closer at the label, and it's printed with the incorrect formula (the way she argued that it was supposed to be). I look at the label again and see a "caution: may cause drowsiness" sticker and I just know that something is terribly wrong. This medication does not cause drowsiness - at least it's not supposed to cause drowsiness. She is still arguing with me about the second half of the Rx and that they don't have it. A second loud woman enters the picture, quickly surmises that I'm not happy. By this point, I don't really want to get into it with them and I don't feel safe. I pick up the one Rx that is paid for by insurance (a packaged Rx) and walk out. They call after me, "what do you want us to do with your medication?" I say, "I don't know. I'm not confident that it's the correct formula." "You still have to pay for it." I continue walking out. The last thing I hear is: "We won't fill anymore of your prescriptions." Yeah, that's what I was thinking.
