The BEST pharmacy I have encountered. I travel need a national chain. This pharmacy is open 24 hours, also, which is very helpful to me as I work in the industry in LA and hours fluctuate well into the evening and night at times. Why are they good? They care. I currently have a chronic injury (surgery might fix it, but I am waiting a few more years to be certain & try everything else). Hence, I am at this CVS every two weeks, if not sooner some times. They turn around my prescriptions quickly, and if not ready, they expedite them, and you really get them in 10-15 minutes. If longer, they will tell you. When there is an issue on a medication due to a shortage, or insurance, they do their best within bounds to help, advising to tell my Dr. they're out, but to call as they other options. There are several ladies that work at the cashier positions. They smile, they care, and they are sympathetic when I'm hurting, or someone else has a prescription issue. Most of all they let the angry people, and there are plenty, leave them unaffected, and greet the next customer. Are there long lines: Depending on when you go, sure. Monday mornings, and Monday's period are busy. Friday, the same. Lines do get long. Tues-Thurday are better if you can go outside of the 5pm rush. In fairness, the freeway is also crowded at 5pm on Fridays. Lastly, pharmacists recognize you, and ask how you are doing. That kind of personalized treatment is rare. (It's August 7th, so construction is going on in the back by the pharmacy, but has yet to be problematic of effect their service or demeanor.) read more

Expect long lines during daylight hours at the pharmacy, and lots of products are locked away in cases like at most other pharmacies. However I am consistently impressed with how friendly, patient and helpful the floor staff is at this CVS. Good people, good work ethic. read more

The Sound: Upon arrival, you are greeted by the immediate roar of fans and machinery. It is loud. It is constant. 3. The Temperature: Despite the fan working as hard as any fan possibly can (see "The Sound" above), it is always at least 10 degrees warmer than any pharmacy should be. read more

The security guard was saying some racist things while I was in there, which is maybe why they looked at me dirty as soon as I walked in? All I did was smile at them and say hello then went on to try to shop. I don't know, but they had a loud conversation about how they don't believe in mixing races and that if they had kids they were going to force them to only be with people the same race. O_O I hope they grow up one day and realize that it's not their job to control other people and tell them how to live their life, and I realize the irony here but I'm here I am to say a bit of advice for that security guard- maybe they should try living their life not being such an idiotic unkind person? My parents were different races, it doesn't make anything worse having a deeper gene pool. It's why when we force animals to be "pure bred" they tend to have A LOT of health problems. Also, CVS, (and this one's for corporate) I know you guys get a lot of theft, but how about not forcing people to wait crazy amounts of time for the one poor employee you have working there at night (to make more profit, I know) just so we can get something out of a case and buy it? How about instead of putting almost literally everything in a case and losing more customers and more purchases than what you would lose in theft.... you just invest a little extra money into good security? (cameras and people). I've walked away many times and chose not to buy something because it takes so long to get anything from the case. And it's not "lazy" employees, it's understaffed employees trying to work within the ridiculous system you make them operate. THE MOST GOD AWFUL FRUSTRATING PHARMACY . THEY DO NOT ANSWER CALLS AT ALL AND IF YOU LEAVE A MESSAGE THEY ARE SUPPOSED TO RETURN, BUT THEY DO NOT. I went up there and they didn't have the RX ready , again , even though I had called for 4 days straight and left several messages to call me back so I wouldn't have to drive there just to see that it wasn't filled and they would have to order it. This 24 hour pharmacy is a 21 1/4 hour pharmacy, don't get fooled like I did. Closed from 11:30 pm- 12:15 am and 2:30 to 4:30 am. Now that I've helped several people not become very irritated by this companies inability to be truthful they can ask themselves what is so hard having a paid employee do the same? Apparently really hard, a pharmacist would rather spend two hours of their life fending off disgruntled customers from behind a metal rollup door than taking on a very occasional customer. Can you imagine how many scripts an hour they are supposed to process, with a camera on them, that they would rather just stand there doing nothing instead? New discovery: those hours aren't fixed and change nightly according to when they want their breaks, so you have to call and specifically ask because they don't volunteer it and if you say you are in your way that changes nothing. read more

I went to the pharmacy today to get my dog's cough medicine. The woman at the pharmacy handed it back to me with a "we don't have it, try Costco". I don't have a Costco membership and am not yet out of the med so I asked if she could order it. "We have no control over what we get" she told me. No offer to check with another cvs, no offer of assistance, no kindness or even politeness, she just turned away from me and carried on. I was simply trying to pick up cough meds for my terminally ill dog, who relies on palliative care for her comfort in what I've been told are her last months on earth. I came in to pick up my order and waited in line. The employee assisting the customer in front of me clearly saw that I was next. After finishing with that customer, she walked away from the station without acknowledging me or saying anything. I then said, "Excuse me, I'm here to pick up my order." She responded with visible annoyance, asking, "What do you need and what did you order?" Her tone was dismissive and made me feel like I was an inconvenience. She rolled her eyes, returned to the station, and handed me my order. CVS, please hire employees who are willing to provide basic customer service. Waited over 30 mins for Perscription and it is still not done by the pharmacy. My doctor called it in and it was t ready when I arrived approximately 30 mins after the appointment. The line at 10 pm has more than 10 people in it and have been waiting awhile. I know this is one of the only ones open quite late, but wish more pharmacist behind the counter to help out. read more

Racist supervisor refusing to exchange my babies diapers because we did not have the receipt. The diapers gave her a chemical burn and I needed to exchange for a different brand. She tried to process the exchange without the receipt and they were coming up as $5. If I were to buy these diapers today, they would not ring up as $5. She then said "well next time have the receipt because you people like to steal." What do you mean by you people? Black? You guys should update your system to where you can look up the receipt by phone number. Reporting this incident to corporate, she has no right to judge anyone based on their skin color. Traveling, sick, in pain and you have to wait for an hour to get your prescriptions because of long lines and 1 cashier. Then I learn they are out of stock on one prescription. Think they were proactive and called the doctor to get an alternative - no! I called before they closed and had them send a replacement in. Now a longer wait. read more

OCTOBER 26, 2025 12:13 AM 24 hour CVS on 2530 Glendale Boulevard~ yay that was fabulous it was fun efficient friendliest awesome vibe ... as I had as many stupid hoops to jump through this evening to secure a prescription for a serious post op infection sent to a CVS on San Fernando Road Glendale that does not have open a 24 hour pharmacy they only have the store part open so it's 24 hour hairspray availability no drugs. Anyway these kind people overrode the system and fill my prescription for my family member quickly. Alecia hope I'm spelling that correctly was loving fun and hysterical she made me laugh and made me feel better ... it's the best experience I've had with CVS. There are pockets and groupings of amazing members that work for CVS and although Los Angeles and CVS has a rocky relationship... there still are lots of fabulous people working with CVS that still care that still reach out to help us when we are not doing very well. Our opinions of CVS are made by people who are sick or recently injured...there is no making us happy ever. So some of our reviews are unnecessarily harsh. But tonight reminded me that magic does happened from time to time and tonight was my time a CVS EMPLOYEE PHARMACIST went the extra mile for me cared about my problem laughed at my crazy jokes and tonight she took time to listen laugh and make me feel better and made me believe everything was going to be ok. And today at this time and this date of this review her kindness and sincere sense of humor is gift that's going to stay with me for many months to come. I want to share a positive, helpful experience. We've got a peanut allergy and have to buy the somewhat prohibitively-expensive Epipens ever year. By nature, it's never fun. No surprise, this year we had trouble finding an available pen for the new school year. The pharmacy was patient, kind and helpful, Jude at the counter made sure we could find one, and helped us located a coupon and enlightend us some helpful details about the process. I got good help from someone else at this location a few weeks back but can't remember his name. Overall, this CVS is a nice one. They've got great hours and are in a good spot (for us). read more

Don't ever have them ship you anything. My Mom just tired to twice. She only ever gave them a chance because the lady on the phone was simpathetic and apologized for the mistake, which was putting the apple sauce in the same box only for it to explode all over the other items. They sent another box with the right stuff. The Pepcid box, that was in a diffirent packaging was crushed. I don't know who is packaging these or if it's a robot, but if it's a real person, place note that these should be handled with care. Incredibly incompetent and unprofessional. Techs always ask my name multiple times until the point where I'm literally screaming and the creepy old men behind me can hear my personal information... They also never know where my medication is and they always keep me waiting even though I only go there for one medication now and as soon as I'm able to switch that I will because CVS doesn't give a fuck about me. I'm just another number. They also never clean the card machine which means it's a really great place to get immunocompromise people sick because people will show up coughing everywhere without wearing a mask all over everybody in line which is rude as fuck and Cvs doesn't care. fuck you, CVS. read more

This is the worst place in Los Angeles. I know what you're thinking - there are vacant lots strewn with garbage and things are on fire there. There are SRO hotel rooms overrun with rats. There are abattoirs that the FDA is trying to close down - those must be worse than this CVS. I disagree. You know not to go to a vacant, trash-heaped lot and try to buy soap there. You aren't going to head into an abattoir looking for diabetes medication. This CVS is a business so poorly run, so contemptous of its employees and its customers, such a nightmare to shop in for toothpaste, much less a medication that might save your life, it's as if someone saw all the dystopian moments of Blade Runner and Terminator and asked themselves what kind of pharmacies they had a hundred horrible years from now, because that's the only explanation I can think of. Tonight I made the mistake of trying to buy a few domestic items. Couldn't get toothpaste because it's all locked away, and no one answers the buzzer to unlock it because they're understaffed. You'd think, well, it must be because of theft. But no, CVS brand toothpaste is out there, unlocked. You just can't buy any of their competitors' brands. The staffed checkout was offline, so only the self-checkout was available. Two of the stations weren't working; two were. The two people ahead of me tried to buy things, but the checkouts were clearly programmed in Fortran by Baltic engineers fleeing the Soviet Union in 1979. Nothing works. You can't scan a coupon without the system crashing. You can't buy two of the same item without the system crashing. God forbid you put an item down in the area they say you should put items in because that too crashes the system. There's a full-time guy standing there who just tries to fix the error messages, and when I got to the front of the line, I scanned one thing, and the system crashed, and the helper cried out "no, no, no, no, it froze! No!" and he put his head against the screen and started whimpering softly, so I left without buying anything. Again. I've had to come to this place for years, and every time I make a silent deal with myself that I'll be okay if I can't actually buy what I need, because it's an utter crapshoot whether it's going to happen or not. I had my medications redirected to other pharmacies because it's impossible to know whether you're going to get it or if you'll get an automated notice saying it's in, when it really isn't. The pharmacists vary from seeming like they'd like to help you (but can't) to being overtly hostile. It is 100% crazy that in a place like Silver Lake, which is bougie as all get out, a place where Erewhon seems normal, where there's sushi on every corner, that this is the major pharmacy. I feel sorry for anyone with a soul who works there. It must be frustrating to want to help people and to be trapped in this ridiculous shell of a business. The game right now for companies is to provide less and less in the way of service and see what customers will still put up with. Business schools of the future should study this place to see how that works out for them. The thing that's most frustrating is I know this review will make no difference. At the end of today, some manager somewhere is scraping a single penny out of a till in this CVS and pocketing it and complimenting himself on a job well done. read more

Poor customer service from CVS Pharmacy Tech Suren as I was picking up medication for my father on Mother's Day evening. He impolitely dismissed me to the side and had me wait for 20 minutes before asking for my name out loud over the counter. I had to inform him that he did not ask or use the secondary insurance to cover the remaining copay. After much delay, I told him I would just pay the unnecessary copay, Maybe try another 24 hrs CVS location for better service and efficiency. read more

Hands down the most incompetent CVS pharmacy in the country. Here's a breakdown: * Chronic Long Lines: There seems to always be at least 4-5 people in line--sometimes more--while staff wander aimlessly or disappear after glancing at the crowd. In 8 years of using this location, I've never seen an effort to improve staffing or efficiency. At this point I'm done prioritizing "convenience"--it'd be faster to drive farther or gamble on their shipping system. * Poor Organization and Lost Orders: It often takes several minutes for staff to find my prescription, which contributes to the long wait times. Once, they told me they'd need to refill one of my scripts because they couldn't locate it. Where does a filled order even go? Under a shelf? Someone's pocket? "Misplacing" a controlled substance is concerning, to say the least. * Incompetence and Miscommunication: Just yesterday, I was told a prescription wasn't available because they were sold out--despite receiving a pickup notification. When I asked for help at the drop-off window, they suddenly "found" several bottles. When I asked why I'd been misinformed, the response was a condescending, "I don't know, sir. That's not my job." I had to rejoin a line of 13 people, and if I hadn't spoken up when someone behind me was called, I'd have waited another 20 minutes. * False 24-Hour Claim: The pharmacy isn't truly 24 hours. Staff take unannounced breaks, including in the middle of the night. I've shown up late at night several times, desperate for a refill, only to wait indefinitely for someone to lift the metal screen. While they updated Google to reflect a 30-minute lunch from 11:30 am to noon (their website still claims 24-hour service), the overnight closures seem like rogue decisions by staff made during the exceptionally rare slow periods. The irony is that, no matter what, you're stuck waiting for large chunks of time. * Script Sync Confusion: Despite multiple attempts to set up CVS ScriptSync through the app and with staff, it has never worked. Every time I ask an employee for help, they either don't understand my request or insist it's active when it's clearly not. At this point, I wouldn't trust anyone here--except maybe the one person actually counting pills--to know the difference between Claritin and Klonopin. If corporate saw how this location operated, they'd probably fire everyone and start from scratch. Hopefully, this review saves you time. I'm certainly done wasting any more of mine. read more
