This CVS Is fairly large but very low in inventory. Sometimes the store looks so empty, it looks like they are going out of business. There used to be a male store manager but I haven't seen him lately. At our recent visit, there was a new lady that appeared to be a new store manager. But she wasn't very pleasant, no smiles, no hello, and looks so stiff. Looks like she's not happy about something. The CVS on LaPaz was a great amazing store. I was in there every day to buy something, whether there was lottery tickets, or groceries . One of their vendors parked in front of the handicap spot and I went in and confronted him about that told him it was against the law and he didn't give a shit and he was carrying a gun and the store manager was laughing blah blah blah. So I kept on going there once or twice a week to get my prescriptions today. I went in there. The gentleman didn't give a shit about me. I asked him about Flonase. Was it locked up? Can you come over and unlock the case he didn't follow me. He just kept on doing what he was doing. When I walked out got my prescription picked up. He didn't even fucking look at me or acknowledge me didn't say thank you goodbye not even to fuck you. I went to Aliso Creek store. I transferred all my prescriptions to that store. Everyone was friendly nice was willing to help me she unlocked the case for the Flonase immediately didn't treat me like I was a piece of shit. I was amazed the difference from management style from LaPaz to Aliso Creek. You need to fire that manager, all she does is smoke out in the parking lot and she works at a health food store. I can't believe how dissatisfied I was at CVS today... unbelievable. Picking up my prescription and purchasing a few other items, I put my CVS card in front of the cashier at the pharmacy, her name was Rose and she said I don't need to scan it. It shows up on my screen I said, please scan it for me, in the past. If you don't scan the card, some of the discounts do not register. She said." no I am not going to scan it., I don't need to scan it" I could not believe what I was hearing. So I said one more time will you please scan it just to make sure. She said." no I don't need to scan it." What I should've done next is talk to a manager but being in a hurry, I left, got into my car and realized that the 35% off coupon was not applied to my purchase . Terrible pharmacy experience. I am a healthcare provider. I had to go in with my mother to help her pick up her prescription because they were very rude to her earlier in the month. Her doctor wrote her a prescription and they failed to acknowledge that they made a mistake by not providing her with the medication when she first came in. The person at the pharmacy blamed my mom for not asking for the medication and that it was her fault for not knowing what she needed to pick up. We called her doctor prior to our visit and they said the pharmacist should have given her the medication. They took no accountability for their mistakes. They are ridiculous and I hope others can report this pharmacy. Definitely do not recommend. read more

Worst opener this morning. This man pretended to look on his phone to pull up my photo order that was ready for pickup, and quickly told me my name and order was at the wrong location. And shood me away. Then when i said the order says it's at that location (pointing to the address on the front of the store) he said i was wrong. Asked me a million times what my name and order was. Pulled up someone else's order and asked me to pay $20 for it when i already paid for my $2 order online. I just said let me speak to someone else. Awful customer service! Came in looking for a Halloween item the website stated was in stock (I had previously come in for the same item 3 days prior and was told to check back in a couple of days). Who locks Mucinex then has your employee get pissed and speak to everyone in a short snappy manner when you have to press a button for them to unlock it with a key? The guy was so rude to the man in front of us who asked to open it and we needed to access it too. The employee acted so annoyed and huffed and puffed. This place sucks. Getting a prescription filled is an absolute disaster that takes a dozen calls and back and forth with employees that couldn't care less. Additionally, I received a prescription that requires injection. When asking the pharmacist how to properly do the injection (which I have never done), they told me to look it up on YouTube. I bought generic Claritin (Loratadine) 10 mg at CVS - gouging at $9.99 for TEN PILLS !!! Albertsons charges $6.99 for #60 and Amazon charges $6.97 for #10. Who's ripping you off??? Let's review: CVS - .99¢ a pill Albertsons - .15¢ a pill Amazon - .07¢ a pill So - conclusion: CVS is ripping off their customers. This isn't the only instance of CVS price gouging. It's throughout the store. They also tend not to carry popular items ... bad selection. . I went for a flu shot that took over an hr while the pharmacy personnel are running around like chickens w their heads cut off! And it's not because they are a busy location.... Every single time I come in for a prescription there is a long wait and an issue. I'd rather go to the DMV than fill prescriptions here. At least they're more organized than this circus. I constantly see other customers rightfully annoyed when interacting with this bizarre pharmacy operation. I constantly witness workers giving false info like last time the person asked for it to be sent to a 24 hr pharmacy and they said they don't have those?! Uhhh it's obvious they are sooo poorly trained. Why is it the couple of times a dr has messed up and sent it to CVS inside target (both off of La Paz) these issues rarely pop up! It's just every single time there's a super long line. Iit doesn't matter if you go when ppl get off work, or mid morning, or early afternoon or late evening it's always chaos. Or when I come in because I got a text from them saying script is ready to pick up... I proceed to wait in line to finally reach the front and them to tell me it's not ready and they don't know why they sent a text...!? Great so now I'm late AND I don't have what I came here for.. What really pushed it over the top is I showed up today close to closing it it was like 2 min to closing and I walk-in and they've already closed it down... the pharmacist saw me I saw her and she just left the counter. Atrocious service. Took time from work to get Covid booster. Waited 15 minutes in an empty vaccination line while associate helped another person. When she came over, she asked if we had an appointment. We were walk ins. We were told to go make an appointment. Again, no one in line and she could have easily told us that when she saw us waiting. This CVS is clean and convenient! The only staff member I really encountered here was friendly and helpful. I ran into this location for some aspirin and was greeted with a friendly "hello". I asked the sales associate where to go, and she quickly pointed me in the right direction. This store was clean and organized. Although I didn't spend much time here, I noticed the Pharmacy and Photo Center seemed quiet which is really nice! When my items were being rung up, the same helpful employee (I think her name was Herminia) smiled and asked, "Did I give you the correct aisle?" And of course she had. The only problem I had was with her manager who saw that her line was getting really long and made no attempt to help her. I had the desire to give him a few choice words. This is simply the worst pharmacy on the planet. I don't know how an operation like this can be managed so poorly. It actually gives me little confidence that I'm being dispensed the proper medication. My favorite story is that I called the pharmacy on my drive over to confirm that my prescription was ready because it never is - the automated response told me to hold and that they would be right with me. 20 minutes later I arrived at the pharmacy, still on hold on my cell phone, because I wanted to see what possibly could be preventing a live human interaction. I got in line, waited another 10 minutes or so and when I finally was seen by the pharmacist, I asked why they didn't pick up the call that was on hold. She told me that no call was on hold. I held up my cell phone to indicate that I was indeed still on hold. She then glanced at the phone only to see a blinking light indicating that someone (me) was on hold. This is just one of many disastrous customer service experiences at this place. Perhaps this is just yet another realm of modern life that would benefit from a technological solution to make for faster, more accurate transactions. read more

the worst CVS i have ever been to. i turned in my disposable camera in the beginning of february and i still haven't got them back. i called both the store and CVS company in hopes to locate it but it has just turned into a massive game of telephone. either telling me to call the store i dropped it off at, call fujifilm, call the post office, etc. called this store a few weeks ago on 4/9 at around 8PM and the lady i was speaking to was very rude and kept hanging up on me, the third time i called back the call finally didn't "disconnect". said she would get back to me about whether my disposable camera was still at the store but i have got NO response back. TERRIBLE customer service, TERRIBLE photo developing service. save the time/effort and go somewhere else for everything, you'll be happier trust me. bottom line, these workers should not be working with customers if they clearly don't want to deal with them. read more

Upgrading from a 4 to a 5. Unparalleled customer service. Best pharmacy I've tried. Check their in-store circular to see what is on sale. They sometimes run special offers for Claritin and Benadryl. Also, they offer Extra Bucks on Zyrtec periodically. Extra Bucks programs enable the consumer to buy CVS merchandise. Their cosmetics department is great. Lots of nail polishes and other types of cosmetics. People working here go out of their way to be nice. Plenty of coupons print out on your receipt when you use your Extra Bucks card. Once I get a chance, I plan to take a photo of the storefront. My favorite pharmacy; the pharmacists and pharm techs know what they're talking about and give good answers to my questions. read more

What a disaster this place has turned into. I went in for a quick in and out experience but that was far from true. The ONE clerk was at the far end of the store utilizing this new system that they have. So I waited in line so she might tell me where the batteries were. In the end she couldn't actually walk me over to the batteries but pointing me in the general direction and I meandered around and finally found them. 10 minutes later I was looking for another specific product and after wandering aimlessly throughout the store which is quite large, I was unable to locate it ... so I had to go back and ask her. Once again she was with a customer so I waited and then she said I don't know where that is. Another employee showed up, but he didn't speak English very well and he was unable to understand what I was looking for. He did ask for a photograph of the product but I didn't really have one handy. Anyway I would think that you would be able to put it into the system to look up Location. Nope. So back I went to just search for the product by myself. 20 minutes later I found it at the very bottom of the shelf in the corner. Why would the store not have anyone on the floor?? Literally that little lady was by herself for most of the time I was there. I think it's just ridiculous. If you go I hope you know the layout of that store because otherwise you will never find anything and nobody is there to help you. On the check out they didn't have any $20 bills and had to go searching that added another 10 minutes. I usually am so relaxed about these things, but this store , I had to give a review that was honest. And it's not good. Hire some more people! read more

I honestly don't know why they have cashiers if they make you use self checkout all the time. This location is run horribly. I don't like using self checkout here because I have a lot of coupons on my account.
