This is the worst CVS in terms of actual pharmacy. Not enough people working EVER, and they don't seem to be interested in helping you. They also didn't have motion sickness bands (like the pressure point ones), and the store never seems to be very organized or neat. This is the worst pharmacy I've ever experienced. I called the day before to refill my prescription and the pharmacist said they would be filling it and it would be ready by the next day. When I went to pick it up I was told they were out of the medication. Because of the certain medication I'm on I needed them to reach out to my healthcare provider to move the prescription. I went a week without my medication. NEVER GO HERE. Because my doctor send 3 months to this location I decided to give it a second try big mistake even though I was told again they were filling it when I got there they just happened to be out of the medication again. This store has negative reviews because of the same store associate I see all the time: NELLY. She has the absolute worst attitude and yesterday was the last time I am returning to this store. I came in to exchange some baby formula my husband had purchased. When I told her I wanted an exchange she said "Next time, you put return item here. How do I know you didn't steal it?" The f? I had a receipt, mind you. If she was so suspicious, CHECK YOUR CAMERAS! I asked if CVS price matches with their online prices. She asked "What's price difference? I can try. Why you return? What's the difference?" And she had started reading the labels of both bottles while there's 4 people waiting behind me. She returned the baby formula and put it on a merchandise card... then rung up other and said "$9.79." I asked if she was going to price match with the online price (which I had shown her the price of $8.49 earlier in the conversation). She said "No. You buy online if you want cheaper." "The reason I wanted to buy this one was if you were able to price match with your online price for me. That's why I asked from the start if you price match or not." Listen to other Yelp reviews when they say this place is terrible. She's always the only associate working. I saw a group of "supervisors" talking in a circle in front of the store. But it's not like they're going to help with the long line during checkout. There's always some kind of problem when I go to this location. I did not realize that being inefficient was a universal problem at so many CVS stores in SoCal. I switched from the Marguerite location because they kept messing up. This one (La Paz) also has messed up. Three trips on separate days and hours of waiting later, I still don't have a filled prescription. People are nice at this location and seem more adept than the other one, so I'm guessing understaffing has created the problem. I'll be switching to one of the Ma n' Pa pharmacies that have good reviews. read more

They don't have any normal check stands open. You have to use self checkout and the one employee working just can't handle the traffic. It's not the employees fault on any way. I'll preface this review by saying I have not used the pharmacy here. But what I do really like is the size of the store and the variety they have. It's huge. Every kind of weird ailment thing I've gone in for they have had. And, I can also pick up a few staples in their food section. As for makeup, hair and the like, it's great. I have defended CVS and have been a customer of CVS for many years. It is hard to change pharmacies when you take a number of prescriptions, and when you get to know and like certain members of the staff. So trust me, this is not a one off irritated customer review. Why I will no longer go to CVS: 1. They have screwed up my prescriptions so many times that I transferred to PillPack.com for the same copay as always but shipped to my door in time of day packets with all of my meds and vitamins together. (Multi vitamin is 1.06/mo, big savings for example) No bottles, 3 packets a day: AM, afternoon, PM. I should have switched when the CVS in Marina Del Rey almost killed me, but I gave them another chance. Instead I kept bringing meds back when they were the wrong mg. 2. Their prescription app stinks. There would be fewer pharmacy errors if the app didn't stink. 3. Inventory in related supplies stinks. I use tegaderm to keep my medication patches in place. Sometimes they have them, sometimes no. Inconsistent. They have a cvs brand that doesn't work as well but the price difference is minimal. Those are often out of stock as well. Now, no 3M brand at all and the cvs brand is 3 bandages for $30! 4. Customer service on the floor. Today there was one girl asking if anyone needed help. She walked right by me. Was I invisible? Was she not trained in the area where I stood? I am giving them 2 stars for the kindness of the pharmacy staff that were helpful when the pharmacist screwed up. The staff at the registers in the pharmacy were always nice and helpful, and they felt bad when the rest of the team fumbled. Goodbye CVS. I can get what I need from PillPack, Amazon, and the market. read more

I get my prescriptions filled at this location because it is a 10-minute walk from where I live. Other than its proximity, however, this place has few reasons to recommend it; the interior is typically dreary and desolate, and the prices for most other goods are higher than one would pay across the street (kitty-corner) at Target for the same thing, although they do have the best cotton pads, ideal for an amateur cat aesthetician like me to wipe away Persian tear stains. The pharmacy hours are fairly inconvenient, especially on weekends; I wish they were a 24-hour location. I also wish it were closer to the front of the store so I didn't have to wander along the aisles of tacky merchandise to get to it and return past wary cashiers after paying at the pharmacy counter. read more

This CVS is huge and has a lot of checkout counters, but it is also very empty. Their checkout counters have conveyor belts. Easter stuff was 90% off at the time, although it was mostly Peeps and souvenir mugs. What a great deal. It went slowly with only one cashier at the time. read more

Second time filling the same prescription there. Medicine was ordered by doctor to have flavoring. First fill they say it is ready only to ask if I wanted it flavored. Of course I do!! It is written by the doctor that way!! So I had to wait again for the pharmacist to now flavor it. By the way I had a newborn who has colic so can't leave for excessive amounts of time without the baby losing it. Second time I go to fill it (I got the text it is ready). Go to pick it up and again they ask if I want it flavored!! Can't they read instructions? It is what the doctor wrote. YES I WANT IT FLAVORED!!! So then had to wait for pharmacist to come back from lunch to flavor it!! Then had to wait in line again because the pharmacist hadn't done it yet when he returned. Worst pharmacy experience ever!! I like the store in general. The pharmacy I have had issues with in the past. Check your prescription before you leave. My son once received heart medication instead of his medication. PHARMACY ONLY O. M. G. Bungled up ... !!! I've lots of experience with pharmacies and I will NOT be going back here. This place was a comedy of errors! A simple antibiotic prescription took me 45+ minutes, and it was NOT busy at the pharmacy department! Such entertainment included: -- person entering insurance card couldn't get it right, and had to call them on the phone, and took 20 minutes... I used the card earlier that day, and for 14 years previous to this, with NO PROBLEMS, ever. -- extremely slow people... -- paying for Rx involved sliding my credit card FOUR TIMES, and signing twice. hmmmm..... I'm checking my CC statement!!! -- having to change "registers" while paying, because one didn't work.... -- waiting for the person checking me out to get a "security code" to get into the registers... TWICE... -- After paying, waiting 10 minutes for the guy to figure out how to change the receipt paper.... This place, I will say, was very entertaining, with a high level of "idiocity". However, I won't be back, because I can also see that elsewhere, in shorter time periods than the 45+ minutes I spent there. read more

I find that having expiration dates on the cuopons at CVS ridiculous. The expiration dates are short and by the time you go back to utilize the coupon it is worthless. Their new policy is to Not honor expired coupons which as a regular customer I find unfriendly and not at all welcoming. Bad policy! read more
