I used to frequent Albertsons in Irvine every weekend and really thought the quality of produce, deli and butchery would be the same across branches, but that's not the case here. I'm not exactly sure why it feels like such a stark contrast, but it feels like the quality of some items diminishes by Saturday/Sunday. I'm very cautious when it comes to purchasing meat packaged by their butchery. Some of the beef appears brown in the store and if they weren't, they would turn brown within a day. I don't know if it's the way the meat is stored or processed, but it doesn't appear fresh or appetizing. However, if I purchase brands that are packaged by brand names, it's usually fine. The produce selection here is decent, but I feel it's not super diverse or abundant, even in peak seasons. For example, some of my favorite fruits are pretty limited in availability such as watermelon, white nectarines, or pears. It's possible they aren't prominently featured at the storefront or the entrances due to limited spacing, or maybe limited shipments. It's just disappointing to see such a small inventory. I think for me, it was a big shift in my shopping routine. I used to be able to find everything I needed as a one stop shop, but these days, I feel my basket is lighter. This Albertsons, and maybe the entire chain, has continuously not correctly deducted coupons the last few months. Their various Friday deals have not correctly rung up, their sale items when you need to buy a certain quantity has been error prone as well. Only reason I'm going to come back here will be for the bakery Muffins that the kiddos like. Other than that, please go to Stater Bros down the street. On my way home from an exhausting dental appointment for my youngest. I stopped at this Albertsons. The employees weee alright-not super helpful, ok. The store seemed dark and the cleanliness wasn't on par considering the location. When I got in line the checker seemed more interested in all the coworkers around than me. Not a big deal. I have gone to Ralph's and spent well over $5000 over the past four or five months because they have my butter spread. I will only return to Albertsons if my earth balance returns. I've been coming her for over 20 years now and I've always found the staff very friendly and helpful. I also remember how much effort they all put in to help customers during COVID. I will always be thankful for that. Most of the time the meat and produce departments are well stocked. Occasionally you might find some better produce at a Gelson's but expect to pay much more elsewhere. read more

So disappointed in Albertsons. Yes, I understand that it's December 23. But I was also shopping at 4pm. So, the store had people, but it was far from crowded. Plastic bags in produce and the meat section were impossible to find. The store was generally just messy. In checking out, the checker says, "there is a hole in your flour bag and I'm not sure if you did it, so what do you want to do?!" I responded, well I'd love a bag without a hole at $10 a bag. And she respond, "well, you can ask him (the bagger) if you want him to get it, but if I were you I'd get it myself." Okay. Wow. $250 for not a lot of food, no thank you come again, and no customer service. Pretty sure a robot could have done better than that. read more

This review is for the butcher department. Every time when I ask a question or encounter someone in the meat department, that person is the rudest person I have ever encountered in supermarket. It is early in the morning when the store opens. Since I've been shopping there, a total of 3 meat personnel that need an attitude adjustment. One person being maybe a vendor wearing a dirty black apron, a manager of the department that had a mustache that I don't see anymore, and now I'm pretty tired of Greg's attitude towards me on several occasions. They all are just down right RUDE when they open their mouth with their sarcastic responses and talking behind your back. They need a lesson on how to talk to customers politely to offer help. Note yell at them for simply looking at the fish in front of the counter. I am beginning to think that department is staffed with personalities that do not like Asians. read more

We have been going to Albertsons for almost 20 years, but this was the first time to have ordered a cake from their bakery and OH MY GOODNESS... the cake was DELICIOUS! We ordered a 10 inch round chocolate cake with buttercream frosting and cream cheese filling for my daughter's birthday. I wish we would've bought two! For the first time EVER, we ran out of cake. Typically, no one wants cake and we have a ton of leftovers. Not this cake. People were asking for seconds. We definitely recommend and will order from the bakery again! read more

I want to commend two employees at the Albertsons located in Ladera Ranch. I want the manager / supervisors, Tim and Allison, to know that Aeden and Cody have gone above and beyond to help me MULTIPLE times on different occasions when I come in to the grocery store. I often have to shop for many different items, and Aeden and Cody both always greets me politely, respectfully, and take time to help me find exactly what I am looking for. I have asked other employees for help, but every time, it's only these two that truly are exceptional with their service, knowledge of the store and willingness to help. I would personally recommend Aeden and Cody both to be recognized for their exceptional service with the opportunity to receive a raise or a promotion. They are the reason I only shop at Albertsons. Horrible service and worst attitudes from the butcher department & the store manager Cody. Three yes 3 meat department work standing around in the meat department behind counter simple request to cut a couple of steaks you'd think I asked someone to do brain surgery. Poor attitudes which prompted me to phone the store manager as the customer service desk was closed when I was in the store. Cody was extremely rude, disrespectful, and dismissive.... The worst service one can imagine. Before 8pm on 10.22nd I went to return Lactaid 0 fat at Albertson Ladera Ranch. I was encountered by an old "lady" at check point. Offensive from the begining, not helping in any way. The milk has not been open. For her could had been tampered, so taking it back would be a "Loss" for Albertson... Did not continue talking to her racist and discriminatory attitude so I went to check myself if the store carry the milk my wife needed, FlaxMilk, to no avail. On my way back to front door she was waiting for me accusing me of exchanging the milk, of course I did not do that, then threating me her Manager would check the cameras to check what did I do. I was just checking for that Flaxmilk that they do no have. So I came back home with my two 92Oz 0Fat Lactaid. Albertson not only overcharge for everything but also provide a racist, discriminatory attitude, customer service is non existant. It could be because I am hispanic and senior citizen. I do mention the fact that couple of weeks ago there was a Recall for this milk and I had the same bad attitude when checking information about if the unit bought was in that Recall. I rarely come to this location but todays experience left a bad taste in my mouth. I dropped by today just to grab a few things before the storm hits. I picked a line that wasn't busy but immediately noticed the guy who was working the checkout looked annoyed I picked his line. Mind you this man also looked to be the manager of the store by the way he was dressed. I noticed he was making lots of small talk to the guy in front of me, asking about the storm and being prepared and whatnot. The minute it was my turn though he kinda just turned off from the nice guy to a cold person who just wanted to get me in and out as quick as possible. I nicely told him I needed two large bags of ice and he was like "ok" but said it in a uninterested tone, I then asked if I needed to go grab it right now and he just kind of looks at me like "yeah" so I go and grab two big 20 lb bags of ice by myself with no offer of help whatsoever. Overall this reminded me of one of the many reasons why I dislike this location, I'll just stick to the other nearby stores since this location doesn't seem to treat everyone equally. read more

I want to first start off by saying this store seems very well kept. The isles are very clean. The cashiers and other members are very friendly and extremely helpful. But now to a more serious matter, and the alarming fact is that it pertains to what I'm led to believe is the district manager by the name of Tim. Upon leaving the grocery store I needed to select one more item to complete my order for a Uber Eats delivery. I approached a gentleman to help me find this last item. He was wearing a light, blue collared shirt, stocking the meat and juice aisle, with a younger work associate. I kindly asked him if he knew where I could find Francisco sourdough bread. He had instructed me that it was on aisle one, but I had mentioned that I had been down that aisle, and had not seen the item. He then responded by saying "if we do not have the item then I'm afraid we are out." I then responded with "OK I understand. If it was in stock, would it be on the bottom shelf? " After I had asked this question, he began to look at me with anger and frustration, then he turned his back to me, and proceeded to walk towards aisle one and said loudly and frustrated "let's go see if I can find it." He pointed at it, and thankfully there was plenty in stock, and I had apparently just missed it when I looked earlier. I said "yes that is the product thank you" to which he responded with nothing and walked back to what he was doing. Look, I understand we all have bad days or whatever, but when you walk into your place of work ESPECIALLY if you are one of the main people in charge, it is your responsibility to set the tone and the pace for the upmost customer service experience for all of your customers. YOU ARE THE LEADER. Just a friendly reminder , as soon as you clock in for work, you are representing not only yourself, but the company that you work for. I didn't appreciate being felt like I was a burden when I was asking simple questions that could've been handled a lot more professionally. I drive here specifically to avoid the 10+% higher prices at Pavilions, the gridlocked parking lots and narrow aisles of Whole Foods and TJ's, and the decrepitude of Ralphs. I cannot believe all these pantywaists are bitching that the shelves are too empty, or the lines are too long since the end of March. It's a freaking pandemic, people. All the keto-eating, GF-demanding soccer moms have looted everything to insure their precious offspring have their organic snacks and clean bottoms. Get a life. My husband bought me the Mucinex DM yesterday night, I noticed is expired from 09/2020. I speak the counter manager her name is Christy, I told her I don't have the receipt at this moment, can she exchange for me? She was so rude, she started yelling at me and then say she wants the physical receipt and make me come back to exchange it. And I was like can you check if other medicine is expired too? She was like no, nothing is expired. And acting I was lying to her. And then I was going to say something ,She was like , I am not talking to you, you can come back to talk to the store manger. I ask the business card of the store manager she said she doesn't have one, come back in one hour. And I was with my son, I have the pictures of the receipt and she still said no. Long lines are understandable. However, expired products are not. I buy flowers here a few times a week. And this is the 6th time in a row their flowers are multiple days expired. The sell by date was 9/5/17, and today 9/8/17, half of the bouquet is horrible looking. This is a pattern I've noticed. Looks like my holiday flowers will be purchased somewhere else... As a person who does not enjoy shopping grocery stores in general, I love this Albertsons. It is always clean, organized and lines move quickly. On my last trip, I lost my car key in the store on Sunday 8/4. After no success finding them on my own, I left my name and number with Guest Services in case they came up. Fortunately , someone found them and they called me promptly. When I got to the store on the morning of 8/6 to retrieve the key, there was a friendly employee that gave me a keychain for my key so I don't lose again them in the future. What a nice gesture! Sue in the bakery did a beautiful job on a cake for my granddaughter's birthday party. It's best to tell her exactly what you want on the cake. I didn't tell her to put anything on top of the cake around the photo so it looked unfinished. She wasn't there when I picked it up but the manager was fantastic and found an artistic employee to put some swirls around the photo and top of the cake and it was perfect. Albertsons is a large chain grocery store. This specific location is in Ladera Ranch. I like the variety of items that Albertsons carries. They carry good quality products and have fair pricing. They have a good size organic section as well as produce and bakery. The store size is also very big allowing them to carry a ton of items! This specific location is nicely Maintained and built. It's seems a bit newer than other Albertsons locations. The customer service here is also great and they always have good promotions going on around the store. Overall, it's a good quality store and I recommend coming here for your shopping needs. read more

Stopped by for my errands, I usually go to another market close by. But they were closed due to Covid unfortunately. The people in the front check out were not helpful at all and complaining about customers the entire time I waited in line. Not my favourite grocery store around, but it is the most conveniently located to where I live. What don't I like? It's slightly more overpriced than other supermarkets, and is more expensive than the Albertsons located on Alicia at La Paz. Not as much brand variety as I'd like (whatever the Albertsons store brand is, and then maybe or or two more). Nevertheless, it's neatly organized, clean, well-lit, and they have Redbox machine, as well as a lotto machine. read more
