This is re CVS Pharmacy on La Paz Rd at Pacific Pkwy. I waited in line and finally got to the desk to pick up my prescription but when I handed the person my new insurance card they took me to another counter and told me to wait. I watched 5 more people get served while I waited. Horrible customer service!!! read more

This pharmacy is horrible, my mom was just released from the hospital and we went to get her perscriptions and we got there at 5:55, they close at 6:00 and the employee was closing the pharmacy, I tried to tell her we needed to get my mom's medicine and it was called in and ready, she totally ignored me, and said she had set the alarm, she was having trouble getting the door locked and could have easily gotten my mother's medication. She was extremely rude and would not help us. She was trying to leave as early as possible and we were nothing to her. My mother was panicking about not being able to get her medication. We were told to go to a different CVS, I tried to call the one they told me and got a recording that they were closed. This was the most frustrating situation, due to a horrible employee read more

I came to return an item that was under $12 and did not have my receipt. When I walked in there was a who was busy I had asked the manager if he could reprint one if I gave him my credit card number he told me I would have to do that at the other CVS as I explained I did not want to have to re travel back into Mission Viejo he told me there was nothing he could do for me( good thing I was not from out of state) because I did not purchase it there the manager was so unhelpful and trying to return the purchase that I had to make a drive all the way back into Mission Viejo..thanks MV CVS for your excellent customer service read more

What pharmacy only has one pharmacist on staff? Was told an hour and when I went back I was told another hour because the pharmacist had to go to lunch. My meds were ready but I had to wait another hour for the pharmacist to sign off. This is ridiculous. Only gave it one star because the rest of the staff was friendly. read more

Quite possibly the worst CVS ever. They have cut back on staffing so no one answers your call for at least 15 minutes. On several occasions I've waited more than an hour and then the staff misrepresented what I was calling for. And tonight I was told (after finally reaching a live person!) that I was being put on hold and they hung up on me. And they are always out of meds that I've filled monthly for a couple years. Better off to risk your life crossing the parking lot at Pacific Park and Aliso Creek. read more

Really horrible that CVS changed the return policy. You have to call a toll free number during EST and to get a store exchange if you misplace your receipt. They will not budge. Worst of all, with technology today, the store never offered me the email option or told me that the policy had change. The management acts very entitled, and out of customer care, they won't even budge. It's better to shop across the way at Target. Better customer experience, same great pharmacy. Sorry CVS, you lost a long term customer. It's hard to hold onto a paper receipt, and when I'm purchasing body and health care products, I except that you care about my well being. If you want us to call a toll free number, at least have someone 24 hours to assist us. read more

This pharmacy is the WORST. I was just on hold on one phone to talk to a person for over 25 minutes. I called the front desk on another phone asking them WHY no one is picking up. Yeah, you're busy. I get that. Hire another person. On top of that, the reason why I was calling is because a prescription that I planned to pick up after work is "on hold" for some mysterious reason. I am fairly certain it is because they are out of it or low on it, which happens with half my prescriptions every single month. Figure out how to do inventory, please. I take the same stuff, every month. So basically, I think there is a problem, I expected to pick it up an hour ago, but no one can answer a phone after someone has been on hold for over 25 minutes?!?!?!? You have to be kidding. I don't want to, but I think I am going to switch to another CVS, which is busier and you risk being run over by crazy drivers...but at least everything is in stock all the time and ready on time. read more

I don't typically post reviews but I need to give props to a gentleman at this cvs. Last night, around 5pm, I went to the pharmacy to pick up prescriptions for my two kids who needed the meds ASAP. There was an error and the prescription didn't go through. The pharmacy was backed up. My one year old was screaming and my 6 yr old was starving after being there an hour. A male worker there (I WISH I had gotten his name- he had a beard) was so accommodating and tried to make this as painless as possible for me. He was kind to my children and even went back to the pharmacy when he was done cashing people out up front to try and expedite my prescriptions once the error was worked out with my kids' doctor. Instead of being annoyed with my screaming baby, he allowed the kids to eat snacks in the store with no problem. This may seem small to some of you, but it was exactly what I needed after an already long day. If I see him again, I will get his name and make sure his manager knows how kind he was to my family in the middle of a stressful situation. read more

I will start by saying that I've gone to this pharmacy for many years. I have always seen people upset with them when I'm there (regularly) but I've also always laughed at those people and wondered why people would be so outwardly upset and seemingly rude to people just doing their jobs. Well I now understand where they are coming from. I'm generally a very polite person and am very careful to be nice and polite regardless of my own frustrations and not any of that show. But wow it's rare to see this level of incompetence. I've been trying to get a prescription worked out since Thursday last week. It's a simple hydrocortisone cream for an irritating rash next to my eye. If I typed out the whole story here of how I had to hold these peoples hand through the whole day to get it worked out and filled (including telling them to check their messages from the doctor after they [and by "they" I mean a specific woman who said her name was Ella] said the doctor hadn't called in a new prescription) it would take a whole book to so do. I had to call back and forth with the people at this pharmacy and the doctor more times today than I can count to get this finally figured out. "Ella" (who said she isn't allowed to tell me her last name...) was rude from the get go and would constantly cut me off and talk over me before I even became in the least bit agitated. She also told me that they were too busy to call me back and tell me when they worked it out and that I would just have to keep calling in for updates. This lady shouldn't be in a job where compassion and medicine is involved. We're only talking about a skin cream in this case but this woman's personality is obviously the same with other people needing much more serious medications as well. I feel bad mentioning her name and even writing this review in the first place because I just don't like to do that and I know we're all human and our jobs can be tough and frustrating at times. This might be the only review I've ever written on yelp. Maybe one or two others years ago. I'm just shocked at how ridiculous this experience was. Ella wasn't the only person involved in the fiasco by any means. But geez she was rude. She even cut me off and put me on hold while I was in the middle of talking at one point..... read more

This place in all departments used to be awesome when it was Long's Drugstore. Really convenient, but since turning into CVS the overall quality took a turn for the worse. The pharmacy is the biggest let down not to mention thorn in my side. The computer system they use is the pits. The prescriptions are automatically on auto refill so the recording or a customer service person will call you every week until you pick your prescription up. Even if you fill a one time prescription the auto refill is still in play. The ONLY way to stop the annoying messages is to call the CVS 800 number and have your number removed from auto refill. Once that is done, your phone number will not appear on the receipts and they will ask you why your number is not on file. No one and I mean no one knows what to put in the phone number field so the questions are not being asked. I've been a long time customer and every time I go in to pick up a prescription someone asks why my number is not on file. I tell them and then the employees state that it will be fixed so I will not be annoyed with that question. I've been told one should put 9's in the field, 0's in the field, a completely different number in the field. This issue has not yet been fixed and I'm tired of all the nagging and annoying questions. Some employees are extremely helpful there. The selection of items went down hill as well. The only compliment I can actually give them is the store is appealing to the eye and somewhat organized. If you do not want petty annoyances that really could be prevented go to Walgreens less than a mile down the same street. The prices are comparable, the staff friendly and I am quite certain you will not be annoyed. read more
