6/4/25 Convenient, fairly quick, it'll do in a pinch. My usual Rx is at the CVS across the street, inside the Target at the Lakewood Mall but my doctor sent it here by mistake. At least it's not across town. This CVS is fairly busy & I've had my other Rx sent here when it's not available at the other location. Aisles are neat, stocked & organized. The staff are helpful. It's basic and there's nothing amiss but I prefer the CVS inside the Target at the Lakewood Mall because the staff (pharmacists & techs) are more friendly & I like the personal attentiveness they provide their customers. Of course, it's inside a Target so it's more convenient, more selection of items with grocery products, too. It's like a one-stop-shop experience. The pharmacist here was also nice & helpful. My preference over their convenience should not reflect poorly on this business but if I can choose where to get my Rx, it will be the other location. read more

Ever since the CVS on Carson and Paramount closed it is very crowded in the pharmacy drive- thru. They also close the drive- thru from 1:30- 2:00. However, the line moves quickly most of the time. You can't beat the convenience of a drive- thru pick up window! read more

Photo center is terrible they tell you a time it will be ready and now they're telling me it won't be ready till a day later

Went to CVS for the photo center, LITERALLY just the photo center. And I was very pleased. 1hr photo definitely took about 20mins. Was quick and easy to do, self explanatory, and two of the team members even came up to check on me. The pictures came out great. I chose Satin over gloss. The prints are perfect, no pixelation. Pictures were cheap, $0.32 I got 100 copies; $32. The team member wrapped them up nicely in a thick envelope, 10/10. read more

Ordered two canvas photo prints for pick up. Estimated time came and went, tried calling the store and no one answered. Drove to the store an hour and half after estimated time. First lady at register was so nice but the store manager told me it hasn't been printed yet. She told me that time is just an estimate. I asked when it will be ready and she said she can't tell me. I asked by closing and she said I can't promise that. I asked what number I can call that someone will pick up and she said the same number. Not 15 minutes later my wife gets a call saying they are canceling our order because the machine broke. She asked if they could transfer it to a different CVS they said no. She asked for a refund and the lady at CVS said she doesn't know how to do that. And told her to "just do it again at a different CVS" or to take our receipt to a different CVS to get a refund. Zero confidence in this CVS and will never attempt to give them our business again. Manager needs to get some customer service skills. read more

I am a caregiver for my sister, the specialty pharmacy we use couldn't deliver her insulin on time and was a few days late. She has brain damage and has been in comas due to uncontrolled blood sugar. This CVS called other local CVS pharmacies and found one who had her Humalog in stock and I am picking it up in 1 hour. Thank you!!! read more

I love cvs the location is great, across from #lakewoodmall ample parking lot. I had a coupon for 30% off today and as you know when you check out you receive even more I love to save money. About as average a CVS as can be, but a big plus for this particular CVS Pharmacy compared to others in Lakewood is the location. They're on the northwest corner of Lakewood and Hardwick, right across from the west side of the Lakewood Shopping Center. Also on the west side of Lakewood Shopping Center is another CVS Pharmacy in the Target there. CVS galore in Lakewood! A (somewhat of a) minus is their hours. They don't open until 8 AM each day whereas the other stores are open longer. Paramount & Del Amo is open 24 hours (not their pharmacy though); Carson & Bellflower opens at 7 AM each day. Customer service is just about average. On one visit, you could get someone who will really appreciate your business, but on another visit, you could get someone who's a complete prick who doesn't really enjoy his job. I've had a mix of both, though one of them (can't remember her name) did startle me with a "What are you doing?!?!?!" while I was trying to decide what candy bar to get. I mean...really? Is it not obvious? At least the other cashiers have the courtesy to ask if I'm ready and are willing to wait while I decide what to get. They changed managers a couple times. It used to be Jayson, and then he switched places with Kim. And then after Kim, I saw Jayson again. They were both decent. If ever there was an issue, they'd come up with a solution that would benefit the customer. Nearby businesses include Hobby Lobby, Avenue, Chuck E Cheeses, Great Clips, Wasabi Japanese Grill, Petco, Big Lots, and Big 5 Sporting Goods. Plenty of parking available. Overall an okay CVS to go to. They're generally well-stocked, and they have a few good sales too where you can get a handful of Extra Bucks, which can be used as money on future visits. Keep in mind these Extra Bucks have a due date (usually about a month after receiving them). A complaint I have about Extra Bucks (at least at this location) is that if you have a $1 Extra Buck, and you want to buy a 99-cent item, they won't let you forfeit that last penny; they'll make you buy something else so your total would exceed $1. Other CVS locations would let you forfeit that last penny, but this location is a little stingy about that rule. Luckily, they have a handful of cheap snacks you can purchase if you ever find yourself in that situation. read more

Too many times the pharmacy doesn't fill our prescriptions correctly. It's either the wrong pills, or they have lost the doctor's prescription orders, or they are out of stock on an essential medication. Way too many times. For their non-prescription inventory, it so much more expensive compared to other places we shop. We only shop there because the insurance requires that our prescriptions go through a CVS. read more

It was maybe 8:45pm Saturday September 17th. My family and I came in to purchase some NyQuil/DayQuil because we all had a cold. Upon walking in. I asked if my son could us the restroom. The woman said "no. They didn't have one" Then they told me the service was down and they couldn't take cash so I had to use the atm and get charged an atm fee which wasn't even my main issue. It was the fact that I wanted to buy NyQuil DayQuil 2 packs and it was on sale for $18.99. The gentleman couldn't price adjust it for me to get the sale price. He wanted me to pay the $25 instead. I was a manager at rite aid for 10 years and I know for a fact that you can price adjust it. Especially to take care of the customer. I'm extremely unhappy with the service at this location. They just seemed to be in a hurry to get us out and lock the door. read more

I'm a generally cheerful person especially when dealing with people who are being paid to serve my needs. I realize we are in a strange place in the world today with a global pandemic upon us but that is no excuse for someone to treat people disrespectfully and nor is having a bad day an excuse. I went into this cvs to get a prescription refilled and the woman "helping" me had an attitude from word one. She offered no greeting of any kind. She was short tempered, ill-mannered, dismissive and down right rude. I held my tongue because I needed the prescription. She said they would have to get it transferred from my home pharmacy which is a different store altogether. I was okay with that she was barking at me for the name of the meds which I wasn't sure of the pronunciation and I was likely butchering it but she made a point to talk down at me as she pronounced it properly. She then said it would be filled that day or the next and that they would call me. I asked if she had my phone number and she barked a number at me that has been obsolete for years. I gave her my correct number and said thank you and she rolled her eyes and said nothing. Here I am the next day and no one has called and the pharmacy is now closed. Look if you don't like your job or don't want to be there, stay HOME. Someone else might not be as patient with your rudeness! This a teachable moment and I hope CVS pharmacy will address this issue. read more

I've been going to this CVS location for years and I've never had any problems. All the retail clerks except one middle-aged Asian woman were courteous. I was scanning an item and the scanner didn't register. She stepped in without even asking, "Can I help you, Ma'am?" She then asked me the price of the item. She said in a very prideful tone, "I don't think so" and we went to the aisle and it was the price I stated to her. I said "That's the price" and she didn't want to admit that she was wrong. She deflected/got defensive and said, "We have all types of that item" as a reason for not believing that I just told her the correct price for the item. Whoever manages her please retrain her on better customer service and courteous communication with customers because the way she spoke to me made me feel disrespected. read more

He was very condescending about meds, saying insurance doesn't cover, like I should automatically know this information. I thanked him for letting me know, but he really needs training in customer service, others may not take his tone and disrespect very well. I have been with Walgreens Pharmecy since I was 11 years old and diagnosed with diabetes which has amazing customer service. My new insurance forces me to utilize CVS or Costco and I can't stand the crowds at Costco especially during Covid times. I have to say the customer service is really terrible. They never say thank your or your welcome, they always have an attitude when you answer the phone and one time when I was finally given a prescription for a sensor tester for the first time since I've been diagnosed I got denied. The pharmacist didn't tell me why just gave me an attitude and said it was my problem. I was in tears and she couldn't have cared less. I'm not one to utilize Yelp to slander or post negative things, I'm in the customer service industry and I know times have changed and people are tough especially for the medical industry. This though, it really makes me hate going to pick up prescriptions. read more

CVS false advertises walk in appointments. I walked in hoping to be helped and get my 2nd COVID vaccine, only to be greeted by a rude pharmacist who said "we never take walk in appointments. An appointment is required" in a very abrasive tone of voice. When I mentioned that they shouldn't advertise walk ins then she again responded in a rude and sarcastic tone of voice. I will definitely not be back here and CVS should really be rethinking the kind of people they hire. read more

It nice when the store changes it's hrs. Don't update there website. So u don't realize it's 10 mins til close. U r sick with no one to pick up ur meds. U don't think u should be driving all over the place dizzy. Might cause an accident. Ins. already didn't cover ur meds at the first place. No contract with them. They keep coming up with reasons why I should drive more than I wanted to in the first place.they turn me away. I Insist that I'm going to get my meds here. Didn't think I needed to explain why at that point because I was frustrated.they tell me they will call me in the morning when they get to it. So I bite the bullet. Went home empty handed. Picked up the phone called urgent care where I went. Transferred the meds myself. In 6-7 mins. Showed up at 9 AM to pick my meds up. They tell me it's going to be another 25 minutes to get my stuff. Guy walks in two seconds later and half his medication isn't ready and they tell him it'll be ready in 15 minutes when I've been waiting since yesterday night and she knows that. Then I get my meds finally. As I driving away the pharmacist calls me ,I'm guessing to be rude or/and rub it in. I'm guessing. Ur meds r ready. read more

I've been shopping and picking up my prescriptions from this CVS Pharmacy for 15 years. I've always been greeted when I walk in. The pharmacy is my favorite part of the store. Sometimes I come close to running out of medicine and they are great about contacting my doctor to facilitate a refill. I use the phone in feature to process my refills which is extremely handy when I remember to get them in the system at 3 in the morning :-). The employees are polite and I've even confronted folks who were being nasty to them. Unfortunately, there are some folks to try and juke the system! Across the board, worst customer service. I went here and needed to return some items, However my credit card that I had used had a fraud attempt and my bank sent me a new card. They refused to give me my money back, and offered store credit which I accepted. Then they said they would only give me half my money back because I didn't have the same card. I even showed them my old card to prove it was my card. The manager said it wasn't his problem and it was corporates problem to help me. Let me start off by saying that this particular CVS is always stocked with what I need. I suffer from a few chronic illnesses and it's comforting to know that I can come to this CVS location and find what I need to stay alive. That being said, the employees are exceptionally rude pretty much every time I go in there. There are three people in particular that are rude has all hell two white girls and this Asian guy. They are very rude and make me extremely uncomfortable. I wonder to myself if I were a white person would they treat me better or with some respect? Being black during this negatively and racially charged climate is daunting to say the least and I constantly have to look over my shoulder and be more aware of my surroundings because you never know when a racist or biased person will cross my path. It's extremely upsetting to have your day ruined because of the color of your skin. If the management is not biased or racist then they really need to re-evaluate who they have working at this location and know that they are a reflection of the CVS brand. I will always come to this location but will have to look past the racist employees and go about my merry way. History has no place for outright bigots to serve the public and every body no matter their ethnicity should be treated with equal respect and dignity. read more
