I stopped by this CVS to get some basic items - cat food, dish washing liquid, and hand soap. While I shop at CVS very frequently just out of convenience, I was wandering around this store for a while. The layout wasn't like other CVS stores. The layout was completely confusing -- no clear aisles, random displays in weird places, and misplaced signage. This store also seemed to have more than typical amount of items locked in shelves. It definitely didn't have the typical CVS feel. I couldn't not notice Mother's Day flower display at the front of the store. I arrived on Mother's Day evening (around 7 PM). As for the flowers... yikes. They were wilted, drooping, and definitely not something you'd want to give your mom (or anyone else). It looked like they'd been sitting there for days without water. It wasn't a new wilt. For a major holiday like Mother's Day, I expected much better. It would be great if this section was cared for. I found this very disappointing for anyone who was considering buying flowers at the end of the day. The good news is that the items that I needed (cat food, dish washing liquid, and hand soap) were all on sale. I got a very good deal (for CVS) spending about $20. I was happy with the price but so unhappy with the rest of this CVS! I hope that this store improves, it's such a convenient location in Lakewood. read more

Horrible. Never have my prescription in stock. I recommend elsewhere. I've been waiting months.

First of all, the AI generated automated system that answers the phone is a total joke. It's terribly frustrating to use. It did not give me the option to speak to the pharmacist or to even leave a message...it just got stuck in a loop saying, "I can't help you with that , is there anything else I can help you with?" It also gave incorrect information saying I have no prescriptions available when in fact I did. After som finagaling, I was able to get through and I got the most unhinged and unprofessional "doctors" (the pharmacist on duty) I've ever dealt with. His name is Ashraf Awawdeh. This person should be fired and his license should be revoked. He answered the phone angrily...literally yelling at me saying " I'm really busy" to which I replied: " I don't care about that...I care about getting my needed prescription that is nearly out. This unprofessional guy then said, "Well if you don't care..." and hung up on me! So I drove to the store and was outraged at this man's unhinged and angry demeanor. He literally said "Who the f*uck do you think you are telling me how to do my job." We go into an argument and he actually threatened me saying " I have all your information and I know where you live." Needless to say I've filed a formal complaint with the Ohio Board of Pharmacy and with CVS corporate. Hopefully they will do the right thing and fire this person. I just wanted to warn the public to stay away from this particular pharmacy! read more

Do not bring your prescriptions here. Frequently out of stock, and even if they have the meds they don't fill the prescriptions when they say they will. If there are issues with your prescriptions they don't reach out and let you know. They simply don't care about their customers/patients. Do yourself a favor and take your prescriptions elsewhere. read more

UPDATED REVIEW -- June 2019: You can read my longer review below. I'm always here because of all the coupons that I get and I live really close by. The lines here seem to be always long but sometimes there is hardly any line. They may need to hire more employees. Groceries and snacks are expensive here so I normally only buy those items when I have a coupon. I do love that their 24-pack of water is always under $3 for the CVS brand called Just Basis. I will still visit this CVS or the other one in Lakewood on Detroit Ave. Feel free to stop on in for snacks, to visit the pharmacy, to see a nurse at the healthcare (medical clinic), to buy face wash, etc. The parking is free in the lot and there are restrooms available. read more

Quite happy with my neighborhood CVS. I'm in here more often than I should admit, mostly because their coupons and sales are hard to miss and it's also just incredibly convenient. The pharmacy has everything you need, and you can speak with a pharmacist or a tech if you're looking for recommendations regarding your symptoms and such. I don't use drugstore makeup so I skip much of what's in the beauty aisle. I typically manage to find good deals on hair products, toothpaste, and lotions. I had several items and was paying cash for them so I got in line and waited. The employees told me I use self check out twice and then turned on the sign and were completely rude. I waited for over 15 min in line by my self as they refused to check me out at the register. read more

The employees at Pharmacy in CVS in Lakewood OHIO West 117th has drastically went down hill. I had a issue about my prescription and The young lady red head seemed annoyed. She and others were immature, impatient, snarky and rude and always complaining about being tired. I have been picking up my prescriptions there for at least 10yrs due to location. There website shows that there are appointments available and also states that walk-in appointments are available and welcome. I tried multiple times to schedule, getting to the appointment confirmation page but then receiveing a message that there was an error. Finally I decided that I would just try the walk in. There was absolutely no one there and I was told that I couldn't receive care because they were double booked. I explained the issue trying to schedule, and was told they were double booked. I asked if I could wait for a cancellation, because again...there was not a single person there ...and I was told no. There are very few options for veterans to receive care. CVS is one of the only places to receive care other then the VA hospital. So after being repeatedly denied care by CVS I will have to waste the VA's time and resources to be seen at the Emergency room for an ear infection. read more

This review is for the "Minute Clinic" that I visited earlier this week. I had a sore throat and wanted to get tested for strep because it felt like the symptoms I've had in the past when I had strep. I checked in at the computer and it said it would be a 30 minute wait and I was the 3rd person in line waiting. I came here because I don't have insurance right now and I read online that a sore throat/strep check would be $79-$99 if you don't have insurance. I ended up waiting for an hour and when I came into the room I told the nurse practitioner that I didn't have insurance and what the prices online were. She said it would be $140. I contemplated and asked her what would happen if I waited and didn't treat it. She told me all this horrible things about what surgeries I would need in my 60's and that it would lead to my heart and cause complications. So I thought, $140 is a lot but it's better than all of these possible complications. Long story short, she did the test and it came back negative. Then she proceeds to tell me that the test is only 70% accurate and they will send it somewhere over night where the test is 100%. She then told me the cost was $160 because it I was a first time patient. I was so upset because I already thought $140 was too much. I asked her if there was anything she could do to take off that extra fee but she said "no it's all or nothing." This entire situation pissed me off because they advertise online $79-$99 then charge you $160! Do not come to the minute clinic. Terrible experience. read more

Open 24/7. Crap beer selection but they have basically everything you would need in a pinch. Great boxed wine and lube selection! The employees are kinda odd so its always an intresting event come checkout time. Better if your hammered. The rewards program is great. Just scan your card at the kiosk and it prints out a stream of coupons as long as Ron Jeremys bellend. Fleet enimas are usually 2-for-1 and the stuffed teddy bear selection is expansive. Just had the WORST experience at this CVS. This location always seems to be clunky. First I walk in and there's a line. I got to the coupon machine...it's out of order. The lines long so I go to the pharmacy and figure I will grab my meds while I'm there. Wait forever there and the. Someone is finally going to help me and she says I actually have to wait in line at drop offs. I asked if they could at least print my coupons but they said no they can't. Everyone here was inept. CVS is located on the former grounds of the infamous Blue Fox. Blue Fox was a west side mobster and hooker hang out. Shortly after Blue Fox closed, it morphed into Slam Jams. Now it is CVS Pharmacy: one of Cleveland's premier 24 hour hot spots. Cleveland can also be a city that never sleeps. This place could have been included on Insomniac with Dave Attell. Next time you are out partying, bartender says "Last Call!" you can head to the funky strip of W 117th and party on. Maybe hang out at CVS for a little bit then hit up My Friends Deli and Restaurant followed by a cup of coffee at Diana's. read more

Great location, lots of talent, a very slept on place. I used to only think of going here in a pinch, now I even choose it over EZ Shop sometimes. I was talking with my Dad the other day trying to remember what used to be on that land. Slam Jams! PW, good shlookin' out man! They have a great variety of drinks. And every time I would buy my latest 6-pack of Miller High Life or Milwaukee's Best Ice here, I would get absolutely no silent judgement from clerks about my life choices. This review is specific to the pharmacy - and it's unfortunate because EVERYONE back there was kind and answered questions...except the one woman who made me cry. Yes, a pharmacist made me cry. She through away my coupon and said it wasn't valid and when I asked her to get it out of the trash so I could look at it she rolled her eyes. Once I got it back I looked it over and realized there was NO EXPIRATION on it - so how was it not valid? She apparently just didn't feel like applying my VALID coupon. Aside from that she was just downright rude - I don't pretend to be a pharmacist or know everything, so I ask questions...it's her JOB to help me. I went there earlier today 90% sure I had strep & they quickly tested me to confirm my suspicions & even had my prescription ready to before I walked out of the clinic door. Easily the worst customer service in all of Lakewood; period. Incompetent, slow-moving, disgruntled staff who whine openly and constantly in front of customers (who themselves have been waiting for exorbitant amounts of time, for no reason at all, no matter the time of day). This location gives me the impression that CVS hates its customers. Also, the majority of employees here are... oddly needy and attention seeking, in a very weird way. It's actually kind of bizarre, and makes me a bit uncomfortable. I've lived here for a long time, and have observed it for a long time. I live within walking distance, but elect to drive to Walgreen's or Sapell's instead, simply because I dislike the experience of entering this store so much. I'm confused by the reviews of the pharmacy, because that's actually the only redeeming quality of the store. I've always found the pharmacy to be very helpful and professional and efficient, and I would recommend this pharmacy to those coming here for only that purpose. This review is for the minute clinic. It's really hit or miss. I usually only come here when my doctor can't get me in on short notice. First time I came here, was a few years back for a ear infection. The nurse I had was on point and super friendly and knew what she was doing. When I was signing in a customer came up and warned me that the doctor who was seeing patients was a "nasty old lady". The doctors name I saw yesterday was Janice. She got me in earlier than what was estimated, so that was cool. I just had a cold/flu and just wanted to make sure which one I had and that I didn't have strep throat. She wasn't too friendly at all. To me that's a big deal when you're working with people, not just people but sick people. BE FRIENDLY! She barely made eye contact with me and couldn't remember anything I was saying. I wasn't impressed at all. It's hit or miss at the minute clinic. It just depends on what doctor you get. read more
