I have always liked Mickey Fine Pharmacy - they have great "stuff" and a delicious grill. Sadly, I was crushed when told that they couldn't fill my husband's prescription! I was told it was because they would lose $100 if they did so - blaming it on the fact that we still get some prescriptions filled at our old pharmacy, and I currently have only three active scripts with them and he gets only one! read more

I would strongly recommend avoiding Mickey Fine Pharmacy if you rely on prescriptions being handled in a timely manner or with basic follow-through. Refilling prescriptions here is like a full-time job. You repeatedly call to request refills and then later find out they were never actually filled or properly passed along to the pharmacist. The problems are even worse with time-sensitive prescriptions. I have had situations where my doctor and I were told a prescription would be filled and ready by a certain date, only for Mickey Fine to later tell me it was still "being processed," that they were missing authorization, or that they did not have the prescription on file. It is not only a nuisance to you, but also to your doctor, because even after your doctor sends Mickey Fine everything they need, Mickey Fine may still tell you at the last minute that they do not have the medication in stock. Communication has also been extremely poor. When I ask to speak with the pharmacist, the pharmacist is often unavailable. When I ask for a call back, I do not receive one. The burden is entirely on the customer to keep calling and trying to get a straight answer. Based on my experience, Mickey Fine has shown a pattern of disorganization, poor communication, and lack of accountability around medications people actually need. I would expect basic competence from a neighborhood pharmacy like Mickey Fine. Unfortunately, Mickey Fine does not meet that standard. read more

I've been a loyal customer of Mickey Fine Pharmacy for over 13 years. It has always been my go-to pharmacy, and I've recommended it to many friends and family over the years. Unfortunately, my recent experience was beyond disappointing and has completely changed my opinion. My doctor called in an antibiotic prescription before noon, and because I needed to start it that day, I called shortly after not only to confirm they had received the prescription, but also to confirm that they actually had the medication in stock at the pharmacy. I was told yes to both, and that it should be ready soon. I was even advised to call back within an hour for an update. An hour later, no one answered. Two hours later, still no answer. After my third attempt, I finally spoke with someone who assured me everything was ready for pickup. As I was getting ready to leave, I then received a call from another staff member informing me they didn't even have the medication in stock, would need to order it, and it wouldn't arrive until the next day. At that point, my entire day had been wasted. I called one other pharmacy and was relieved to find out they had the antibiotic available, only to learn they couldn't fill it because Mickey Fine Pharmacy had already processed it on their end. I then spent over 30 minutes on hold, speaking with three different people, just to get the prescription reversed so the other pharmacy could fill it. After 13 years of loyalty, this level of poor communication, lack of organization, and complete disregard for a customer's time is unacceptable. This is one of the most unorganized and unprofessional pharmacies I have ever done business with. I have given them many chances over the years and they always fail to meet basic standards. I stopped using them for a while because 4 months in a row they made mistakes with my prescriptions. When I expressed my disappointment with their service I was treated very badly by the owner and pharmacist. I decided to give them another chance and had a recent prescription sent to them. I called the next day to see if they could order it for me. I was told that they would order it for me and should have it in a couple of days. 6 days later I called them to see if it was ready to picked up, I was told that it was ordered and they would call me when it was ready. 2 days later I called them to see if it was ready but couldn't get anyone to answer the phone (like most times I called there), so I decided to walk in there to check. The gentleman at the register took my name and birthdate, and then asked me the name of the medication (which I thought was not just weird, because there is only one prescription in their system for me, but also violated my privacy). He tells me that the prescription is on hold and asks me to go to the window to speak to someone. There i was told that the medication wasn't ordered, hadn't been, wouldn't be. It needs to come from a specialty pharmacy. Ok, fine. Not their fault. I was starting to get upset because I was told it was ordered, twice! No one there even thought it would be necessary to notify me when I had been waiting for a week and a half! As I'm expressing my disappointment, the owner, Gina, who has been rude to me and other customers. makes the angriest face I have ever seen, throws her papers down on the counter and rushes out of the pharmacy area towards me! WTF? Was she going to tackle me? Was she going to start yelling at me in front of the entire pharmacy and restaurant like I've seen her do in the past? I don't know, I shut her down before she could speak and left. She's absolutely the rudest person you will ever meet. Never in my life have I had such a horrible experience. Do not waste your time here, you'll get much better service anywhere else. Go to Beverly Hills Apothecary pharmacy a block away. They will treat you with respect and professionalism. read more

I have been using this pharmacy for years and I hate to say it but this place is the absolute worst. I've resisted changing pharmacies for my family because of the hassle, but I can't take it anymore. Every month there are problems. You call and can't get through. If you do, they may tell you to come get your prescriptions and then they may or may not be ready. You leave a voicemail and sometimes they call back and sometimes they don't. I kept my prescriptions here because when ADHD meds and SSRIs were out of stock everywhere else, they always managed to have them. But at this point dealing with this place is just not worth it. 4 DAYS later !!! I received a call from Mickey Fine ,,, asking for my credit card , which I gave them four days ago to deliver my medication. I also left a message 3 days ago for the manager . When Mickey Fine called this morning . I said you have got to be kidding. I ask to speak to the manager. I can now understand why the staff is not properly trained. The manager JEFF told me they didn't have my credit card. I said I called three times at any time they could have asked for it again. !!! He then told me he did respond to me on Yelp and left his cell number.. so ,, I'm going to give a bit of advice here ... if you're sick and you're waiting for Mickey fine to deliver your desperately needed medication, and you don't receive it for 4 days. Top notch, old school customer service My gratitude specifically to the owner, Jeff! I couldn't make it to the Ave of the Stars location in time before they closed on a Friday. I was in a bind as I was leaving for a weeks long work trip that Sunday morning (Ave of Stars closed weekends). Saturday, I called their Roxbury location (open weekends) to see if there was anything that could be done. Jeff went out of his way to make it happen (hoops had to be jumped through on his end). NO WAY another pharmacy would have done this. I'm so thankful and touched that a business would go the extra mile the way they did. Great pharmacy, great people. For years this has been my fav pharmacy but it just got better in my book. Unrelated to pharmacy - Mickey Fine's Grill makes a mean tuna melt and the best onion rings. I rarely write reviews but after such treatment by the pharmacist I'm inclined to warn others. After having trouble filling an RX for a child, we called Mickey Fine to see if they had it in stock. A very rude woman aggressively told me she would not comment on if they had it, and no one else would either, and the doctor would need to call in an RX and then they would "try" to find the medication, she then hung up the phone. 1. Thanks for the helpful information - we are trying to protect everyone's time here and we do not need the doctor call in an RX only to find out you don't have it in stock - a simple "we have it", or "we don't" - would suffice. 2. Kindness goes a long way - the same message could have been shared with a different tone and this review would not be written right now. She must be a very unhappy person. Let me begin by stating that if I had the option to select custom stars it would be way more than 5! I am so grateful I found Mickey Fine Pharmacy on Roxbury in Beverly Hills!! I genuinely look forward to when I have prescriptions to pick up...said no one ever about a pharmacy but it's true. For starters Gina has curated a stellar team and they are such a well oiled machine! I have never ever experienced anything other than what feels like VIP service! If you have a short wait there is so much to look at and unique items to purchase or feel a little hungry or need a pick me up with really one of the best cups of coffee in town, there is one of the last real Diners left in the back and the staff are super friendly. Lovely, helpful staff and convenient service. Their pharmacists are knowledgeable and I also love the lunch counter.

I had a good experience for a while, but then issues came up and their handling of them was wanting. In sum, if you start with them, leaving could be very hard -- they did not return phone calls either from me or from the pharmacy I wanted to receive a transfer from Mickey Fine. I made many polite phone calls. I also ran into an issue where they sent me a three month supply of an expensive product and charged me, when I did not sign up for delivery and had never asked for a three month supply. I asked them to address these issues, they said they would try, but did not. I tried. The good of the place is the store is pleasantly designed, they stock some products I like, and the service was warm when things were good. I see how they have been in business for so long, but want to report the "could be much better" overall experience I am left with. read more

I love this Pharmacy!!!! The personalized attention and care is second to none. They always have time for you, there is no line to stand in forever like I used to do at Rite Aid and CVS. They ate friendly and helpful. And, to top it off, they have the best (and oldest) Grill right there in the back! Best tuna sandwich in town and all your lunch counter favorites! I actually go there for cute gifts and cards. They have been in BH forever and are supportive and involved in the community. This pharmacy is awful. They can't tell you when a Rx will be ready they want you to come in. I called to check on my sons rx to ask how soon it will be ready the lady on the phone told me it's no a candy store if I'd like she can send me to CVS to see what other pharmacies are like. And then hung up the phone on me. I'm taking my business elsewhere. There are PLENTY of other pharmacies around that can give much better service. This is just the cherry on top. Every rx I have filled here there has been an issue with and I have only been with them for all of 2 months. Worst then a CVS. I would give 0 stars if I could. read more

I'm updating my review that was also one star. I just called Mickey fine to check if they could fill my vyvanse today and the pharmacist said: Verbatim: 1. "call the drug enforcement agency" 2. "We are not a vyvanse pharmacy" 3.. "go to a mental hospital if you run out of vyvanse" 4. "have coffee instead" 5. "You don't need this medication" 6. " I need to go" (hangs up and I'm about to ask what an alternative medicine would be that they have in stock) he didn't let me finish a sentence. I don't understand how a pharmacist can say those things to a patient. I'm horrified and did cry a bit. I just can't do this anymore! I am shaking right now/ trying not to have a panic attack because of how he spoke to me and I was nothing but kind. monthly I'm so worried there will come a day when I won't have vyvanse left (I've always dipped into an old 40mg stash when they didn't fill it in time and I'm out of those extra now). I'll need more vyvanse next week. I've taken it at the highest dose for 14 years. I understand there is a stock shortage nationwide, but one pharmacist will tell you they can fill half your prescription and another will tell you they are out of stock. I don't nor think anyone likes being lied to nor disrespected. Read on... My quality of life is greatly diminished because every month I have to worry about getting vyvanse on top of the myriad of psych and other health meds I take, refilled at several different times throughout the month... I live at CVS and Mickey fine. Without vyvanse i literally cannot get out of bed and go through severe withdrawal. I'm freaking out over here. Monthly.My doctor recommended this pharmacy a year ago and just emailed me saying to switch because "they've really gone downhill over the last year" Also, if you're pro Palestine/ceasefire now, DO NOT STEP FOOT IN HERE. Mickey Fine is the only place that consistently stays fantastic. It's hard to believe there is more than one location because it has such a family feel. Gina Raphael (the owner) has literally saved my life more than a few times. She always goes above and beyond to much sure her clients are expertly taken care of. I had a great first experience with Mickey Fine Pharmacy! When I asked my doctor to move my prescription to a pharmacy that was closer to home, they recommended Mickey Fine in Beverly Hills. Once the prescription was sent, I spoke with the owner who took the time to thoughtfully explain the process and to advise me on how best to navigate my health insurance. After the initial conversation, I received a follow up call the next day from a staff member letting me know that my prescription was ready for pick up. Picking up my medication was quick (no wait) and simple, and the staff was very professional. I'm shaking right now, I'm so upset. I was excited to move to this pharmacy last year. It's such a cool place and I always got incredible service. Last month, I called to get a scrip filled. They were out and said to call back at the beginning of the month. I called Tuesday and the guy I spoke to (after speaking to the pharmacist), said they would prep it the next day and deliver it to me. When it hadn't showed up two days later, I called again. A man got on the phone and started talking so fast, speaking over me, telling me they were out of the medication and that's why they can't give it to me. I asked why they said they'd deliver it to me when they were out of it. He didn't respond to that, just talked over me and then said that it's because my doctor lives in San Pedro (not true) and that my doctor had to live in a small radius of Beverly Hills. When I asked why no one had called to tell me this, (in the several weeks since I had initially asked for it), he just continued to talk over me. When I asked for additional details, he said I could get it where I had been getting it since I hadn't filled it there since 2024. When I explained I wasn't getting it anywhere because I'd had surgery and had to go off my medication, he just continued to talk over me. I have never been spoken to like this by anyone in customer service - the level of aggression in his voice was crazy and he would not let me speak at all. I asked who the manager was and he said HE was the pharmacy manager. If that's true, then this place has truly gone downhill. I asked to speak to the manager of Mickey Fine in general and he just started talking over me again and hung up. If this is the new Mickey Fine, stay far away from this place. The behavior that man displayed on the phone was abusive and he shouldn't be working in any job with the public. Other reviews below describe this guy 100%. read more

Every time you speak to someone it's literally a different answer. No one tries to help and say, "hey, how can I make it easier for you" or even better "how can I help?" I've never expressed to any business an issue and their answer is literally "bye." I never thought I would do better at CVS than Mickey Fine. Mickey Fine is the slowest most disorganized and rude pharmacy I've ever been to. The attendants take their sweet time to do everything and don't seem to care about their customers. There are about 10 people putting together prescriptions yet they are never fast. I'm not sure how this place operates. It's embarrassing.
