I use Hoey to have my meds compounded and they send it to me via USPS, (I live over 30 minutes away, in the best of traffic) It is in capsule form. My most recent refill was changed to the same 1.5 mg dose but in tablet form - an itty, bitty 7mm tablet which is much more convenient, but, unfortunately didn't produce the same response as the capsule with the drug and filler. Why? who knows. The only thing that matters was that the tiny tablet had no effect on my pain. I spoke with someone at Hoey, then later Tim, about my situation. Tim graciously agreed to swap out my pill form back to capsule. Not only did he make the change, he personally delivered enough capsules to my home to hold me over until they could complete the order and mail it out. Hoey is located in Monona, a far east suburb I have no reason to go to and, again, more than a half hour drive one way. I live in Middleton where the distance to the city limits is waaay to far to travel, especially when you are in agony. Tim provided me with a ten day supply and said he would mail out the remainder of my prescription and adjust the price. He also retrieved the tablets that I had no use for. This is the kind of service that keeps customers loyal to a business. Kudos to Tim and all at Hoey Apothecary...they really give a damn.

Even if you call to remind them the day before you need to pick up them up (voicemail only), it doesn't make a difference. For a primary caretaker of a parent in hospice, that is unacceptable. Text messaging service rarely works, so I was told I should call them to ask if a med is ready. Problem, they don't answer the phone during business hours nor do they return calls. I do not trust them with my terminally ill mother's medications and I am moving both our prescriptions to a pharmacy farther away, but with staff that take calls and take pride in excellent customer service. They round up carts constantly, so there are always carts for you to get inside. I enjoy going to Costco, sometimes they just have the best item you never knew you needed. I get there's a lot of rude people but few of the times I realized it wasn't the guest it was the lady at the register. Short glasses brunette with sort of a lazy eyes. Seems nice at first but when I saw this certainly a little disabled heavy set woman complain that there was no syrup in the soda and she said if someone could come help her. The lady "manager" said she'd call someone, the disabled woman said she's been standing in line (and yes this cashier manager lady was super slow. Talking a lot and telling people things about kwik trip policy that nobody cares about. What we wanna do is pay and go. So she begins to explain the policy as to why she can't leave the register and get her ice cream the disabled lady is told she has to wait for the line to die down or another employee to come. Which took another whole 5 minutes. People are yelling at the poor woman cause she won't hurry up (the disabled lady) and even call her a B word all simply because of the lack of professionalism and customer services this employee gave. I was late to my class and wasn't able to take my exam and now have to make up for all that because of a silly attendant in Kwik Trip. I guess is happens but 3X by the same person. I called Kwik Trip big lake to see if soup was out... nope still no soup... Did then go and get her soup at Coborns...
