Regina in the pharmacy was rude and condescending. There was a mistake made which was on their end. She was not interested in coming to a solution on how to get my insurance company on the phone. She almost skipped when there was another issue that delayed the process and put the work on the other technician on shift. Ultimately I had to wait 1 hour and that was after I got the incredibly kind manager to help me (hence 2 stars instead of 1) Regina does not know much about customer service. read more

Did not process my prescription for absolutely no reason and made me wait 5 days until I could contact my doctor again. I would NOT recommend this pharmacy, they were completely unhelpful and I was left without a vital medication to my life. I have never left a negative review about a pharmacy, but this was beyond annoying; had I not had extra medication, I would have needed to go to the hospital. Thanks for nothing. read more

The employees are very nice there; the prices not so much. The pharmacists and their assistants are very good but overworked. Service is sometimes slow as a result. I'd rather go there than Super Drugs any day because the prices are fairer. I've been gouged more than once at Super Drugs. read more

I wish I could do zero stars. This morning, December 23, 2010, I placed an Express Pickup Photo order on CVS.com for six 4x6 photo books. I placed the order at 11:43 and was told the order would be ready by 12:43. The sole reason that I ordered them was CVS's representation on its website that they could be ready in an hour and would serve as a great last minute Christmas gift. At 3:45, I arrived to the CVS store and the photo lab technician handed me 4x6 photo prints of all of the pages of my book. When I explained that they were supposed to be bound in a book, he just gave me a blank stare and started flipping through all of the photos and putting his finger prints all over them. Finally, he told me that they could be bound by the next morning, December 24, 2010 (despite it being a 1 hour express order), and that I needed to put all of the photos back in order for him. I told him that was not acceptable because I was flying out that evening and needed them immediately. He rudely stated to put the photos in order for him and then come back in 45 minutes and he might have them finished. I sat in the store to put my own books back in order. I left the CVS store and used my cell phone to contact a manager. The supervisor on duty informed me that the photo machines had been down and my photo gift would not be produced. He said they had no way of contacting persons who placed 1 hour orders to let them know the machine was broken. I asked him about my phone number printed on the order and he stated that they did not need to call every person. Regardless, when I informed him the pictures had been printed and simply not bound, he stated my order would be ready in the 45 minute time frame stated. It is my understanding that he had no intention of contacting other customers whose orders were not going to be ready. When I arrived to the store to get my books, the photo shop technician asked me if I had contacted his manager. When I told him that I had, he literally yelled at me in front of other customers and said that if he said he would get it done, he would get it done. I told him that I was leaving and needed my books. He refused to look up my CVS card number using my phone number and threw my items in a sack and did not say another word. I told him that I had never been treated so poorly at any store and he rolled his eyes and walked away. On my way out, I stopped at the service manager and told him that customers should not be screamed at for bringing issues to his attention. He brushed me off and called for the next customer in line to check them out. At all points in time, I was respectful and asking for help. They could have simply said that they were sorry for my inconvenience and I would have been fine. When I got to my car, I pulled out my photo books. There are finger print smudges all over the books. So, I was late for my flight, cannot use my six photo books as gifts and am left reeling over how I was treated by CVS. I have always been a user of CVS for everything from groceries, to photos to prescriptions. Because of how I was treated by this store, I will be switching all of my family's prescriptions and future business to Walgreens near my home (and across from another CVS store). read more

Pretty frustrating. They repeatedly billed my old insurance which, of course, would no longer authorize medications. No matter how many times I told them. There is always a line, and the workers there appear stressed. They are unable to manage the patrons and on one occassion i saw one man so frustrated he begain shouting at them. They do not have enought staff... at all. read more

This pharmacy has the worst customer service I have ever experienced in my life. The employees are rude, have lied to my doctors about faxing refill requests, forced me to wait in excess of 30 minutes because of their errors, and failed to inform me about potential dangerous side effects of medications. I have been using them for a year and a half, and I will never give them my business again. I have never had this problem with any other CVS or Walgreen's in my life. This is the worst pharmacy in our area. I just waited 46 minutes on the phone, listening to that horrible music, waiting for the people there to pick up my call, and then they hung up! I am now waiting on my third call to reach the RX department. The only dependable person in this store is Linda, who tried to get me connected 2 times. If my husbands heart medicine were not so vitally important, I would never put up with rude treatment. read more

Marcus.....is not very nice. That was my first comment. My second deal with this place is that nothing is ever in stock. I came here once to simply get a plastic cup...and they did not have any. I ordered about 100 photos online last night at 10 and they were ready to be picked up at 8:50 this morning. It was a convenient, fast, and efficient way of getting a bunch of photos developed and I'd use it again. read more

My review is specifically for the pharmacist, Taj. I needed to have a new name brand Rx filled at the same time as my new effective date for my insurance plan change. It became confusing and additional steps would need to be taken for authorization. To make matters worse, I was only in town visiting, so I had to transfer my prescription in. Another pharmacist and tech exerted as little effort as possible, and I was left with several days of chaos. When I finally encountered Taj, she hopped on the problem and had it solved in no time. I couldn't agree more with the last reviewer. This pharmacy deserves no stars. Every single employee there was incredibly rude and unprofessional. They talk about you behind the counter. They roll their eyes at you. They act like helping you is a big deal. Amanda is the most unprofessional employee I have ever encountered. It really is a wonder how she still has a job. I filed a complaint with the corporate office. They messed up on my workers comp insurance making me pay almost $400 for something out of pocket. They then got reimbursed by workers comp but didn't bother to tel me that they had my refund. I was on vacation when I was there so there is no way I can pick up my refund in person. Now I have to go through the corporate office to get my money back because these classy people didn't even call me to tell me they had it. The worst part ? I'm pretty sure they didn't call on purpose because that's how terrible of people they are. My prescription was approved while I was in the store and they acted like they didn't know and let me pay for it. I will never go back there and am likely pulling all my prescriptions from CVS as a result. Shame on CVS for knowing how terrible Amanda and her employees and still keeping her employed. I agree with everyone else. This is THE SLOWEST AND MOST UNHELPFUL CVS I have ever been to. It's such a shame. When you are sick or have a loved one who is sick to have to deal with this type of environment and terrible customer service it is more than frustrating. If you like waiting and frustration, this is the place for you. I can never deal with this CVS pharmacy without waiting. It's exhausting! God forbid you do not have your Rx number with you when you want to refill a prescription, because you will incur punishment of even more waiting. I tried to refill an Rx over the phone, but did not have the number with me. I was put on hold for over 10 minutes, had to hang up. I had to go home, retrieve the Rx bottle from the trash, had to call back the next day, so I could use the automated system and read off the number, and not wait on the phone. Total time to refill my Rx: 4 days! The pharmacy needs a regular staff member behind the counter FULL TIME, just to answer phones, take the info from callers, check out customers. This will free up the pharmacists to actually fill Rxs, answer complex medical questions, notify doctors, check insurance, etc. NOTE TO CORPORATE: please schedule weekly floor cleaning with a buffer -- the floor at the Malibu location is dirty, filthy, and looks 3rd world. read more

Just called to ask if this CVS location provides passport picture services. I was put on hold momentarily and then the customer service representative said, "The system is down. You have to go to another CVS." And subsequently hung up. I didn't even have an opportunity to ask when the system might be up and running again or where the closest location offering this service might be! read more

Worst pharmacy ever. It's Sunday and my sister is very sick. The only open pharmacy in town happens to be CVS. We walk in, drop off the prescription and are told it will be 30 minutes because they're busy. OK fine. We come back 3 hours later to find our prescription still has not been filled. They fill it 20 minutes after we show up, and now nearly 4 hours after first arriving we're paying for prescriptions my sister really needs. DO NOT FILL HERE! Go to the Target over the hill, drive to Santa Monica, dying is even better than waiting for these unprofessional pharmacists to fill your order. Will not come here ever again! All CVS stores are kind of weird, especially how they are laid out. I came here on a cold Thursday night and there was a line to pay even though there were just a few customers in the store. That seems to be normal for a CVS so this one isn't much better or worse than any other I've been to. Had what I needed, prices are ok, lots of parking at this location but getting in and out of the lot from PCH can be tricky, especially if you are going North. Be careful exiting the lot onto Webb as you can only make a right. read more

HORRIBLE!!! Came here a few weeks ago to fill a prescription for my husband, on our way home from his surgery. The pharmacist assistant who keyed in the prescription, told me it would be a few hours. I explained to her very nicely that my husband was in severe pain, needed his next dose of pain medication, and was waiting in the car, AND that we came directly from the surgery center (the prescription couldn't be called in because it was controlled). The pharmacist assistant had ZERO compassion, and said too bad, it wasn't her problem. I was quite stunned by her attitude, as well as the lack of customer service. When the pharmacist clearly and visibly isn't busy, and there aren't prescriptions piling up, one would think they would be a bit more accommodating, and with less attitude. I like CVS, but we will no longer be filling our prescriptions in the pharmacy. We've since then moved over to SUPERCARE, where they are friendly, polite, and reasonable with fill and wait times. read more

Okay, I'm fed up. I've been going to this CVS for years--wish I didn't have to. Do NOT be in a hurry if you need something there. There never seems to be anyone to help or enough employees to take care of the lines of customers that build up at the front and at the pharmacy. It's always frustrating to see some employees standing around while one cashier takes care of the long lines, and this seems to happen a lot--especially in the pharmacy. There are a few people at the pharmacy that have been very nice and helpful whenever I'm actually there; however, calling the pharmacy for any reason is way more difficult than it should be. When you call, they immediately answer and tell me to "please hold" before I even have a chance to say anything. 5-10 minutes later, someone finally answers. It's ridiculous. This is the WORST pharmacy that I have EVER had to deal with. I have never met such unprofessional, rude, and incompetent staff in my entire life. They're unbelievably lazy and unhelpful. Not to mention that half of their medications are never stocked. They wouldn't even order my prescription in for me and tried, instead, to give me the wrong brand of the medication and make me pay 850$ out of my own pocket for it. Not only is the staff horrid, but they are constantly understaffed. Consider it a miracle if you make it out of there with your prescription under 30 minutes. Once they called and told me my prescription was ready, but when I got there, they hadn't even started to fill it. If I could give this pace a negative 1000 I would. This store is the biggest joke I have ever experienced. I went in to grab a couple of quick inexpensive items. When I walked out I forgot my bag. When I realized I had forgotten it, I was too far to go back and grab it. I called several times with no answer. Finally someone answered and I described everything in my bag and she just said no its wasn't there, she didn't even take a moment to check, just a straight no. Later that night, I came back in to see for myself if it was there considering her answer on the phone wasn't too convincing. And that's when we met Marcus. The weird looking man had blue ears (seriously). I explained to him exactly what was in my bag and explained that I had forgotten it here. I kindly asked if there had been a bag left and without hesitation, he immediately responded no. I spotted a bag behind the counter, and asked him if that was it. He checked to see if if had our items and he said it wasn't our bag. Needless to say he made us re-buy everything. During checkout he was constantly looking over checking out teenage girls at the next register. Horrible customer service in every way! We come back the next day for some other items and the same bag is behind the counter. We asked the employee if it could be our items and sure enough they were! Marcus lied to our face! Sonal Shah, the manager at this store, is the rudest employee around. We have experienced the worst customer service ever. When you have a rude person running the pharmacy, all the other employees behave in the same manner. My asthmatic daughter lost her inhaler and went to the emergency room because she was experiencing a horrible asthma attack. The hospital got her under control and later discharged her with a prescription for Albuterol.(fast acting inhaler asthmatics use for attacks) When she went to get it filled, we told them she lost the inhaler she picked up a week ago and got a new prescription from the emergency room. The pharmacist SONAL SHAH REFUSED to refill the inhaler. I called corporate office and since filed a complaint against them.They said it was at the "pharmacists discretion" to refill the prescription or not. You can't abuse an asthma inhaler, especially when you hand the pharmacy a prescription from a hospital. We are thinking of seeking legal advice for this issue. My daughter was without her medicine and it was a grave emergency. Just weeks before this, we had another issue with Sonal Shah after our eleven year old had surgery. This CVS needs a change. I have never seen all negative reviews on a business in my life. So sad.... read more
