This is a wonderful pharmacy and gift shop. I have traded here for years because of wonderful treatment I always receive for prescriptions. I now appreciate it more than ever as there is never a line as this family owned business goes the extra mile to take care of each of us with kindness and fast as well. In an age of mega-stores and being treated like just another number, it's nice to have a neighborhood pharmacy where they know you, take the time to talk about your medications... and they even match the prices of the bigger stores (and if they can't, they'll let you know this upfront). Tanya, Susie and Mary do business the way business should be done, and make me as a customer feel special. I just got a new prescription today, and they remembered me from when I was in last month and asked how I was feeling after a previous illness. (Oh, and one more thing -- I don't live near them, but like them so much, I bring my prescriptions to them whenever I can.) read more

I must admit, Dr. Pharmacy is awesome!! I was on my way home from work when my husband called and said my son had a fever...I called Dr. Pharmacy and told them my situation and they were very helpful. They not only advised me on what to get, as well as home remedies (cold compress etc), but they actually waited for me to get there a few minutes passed there closing time. To me, that's excellent hospitality. I would recommend Dr. Pharmacy to ANYONE! As for the other lady writing a review, you must be confused with somewhere else because these people were amazing! I love this pharmacy and everyone who works there!!!! They are soooo good to me. Susie, Tanya, Leza (sp?) and Mary treat me like a family member. They go out of their way to make sure I am well taken care of. They will special order anything I need including OTC products. It is also VERY nice to have prescriptions filled on the spot... No issues like..." it will take an hour or two" like you will find at chain pharmacies. They use high quality generics - which trust me- means a whole lot!!!! I love love love them!!!! read more

I've been coming to this pharmacy for the past few years and they NEVER disappoint!! Always have my prescriptions ready and even call me to remind me when they're ready. They've even gone out of their way to deliver when I was too sick to drive. They're a family run business who knows how to treat their customers. Update, I just went into the pharmacy with my boyfriend to pick up his medication and the owner totally went off on me for writing my previous review 6 months prior even though I've been coming in every single month since then and she never mentioned a word. She very passive aggressively thanked me for writing such a wonderful review and gave me a sob story about having to bury two relatives and how dare I do such a thing because she's always been nice to me and has never given Brian the incorrect meds, which is all BS. She's been totally rude to me on many occasions, one in which she hung up on me when I asked for a refill of meds and she said it wasn't ready and then hung up!!! I've had to complain numerous times about being given meds from the wrong manufacture because they make my boyfriend sick. The temper tantrum she displayed today was unbelievable. She said she looked me up on yelp and I only give 1 star reviews which is also false. This woman is an old cranky child and I would not recommend doing business with Dr. Pharmacy. read more

I've personally had limited interactions with this pharmacy over the past 2ish years with one very common monthly filled medication. The short of that story is that they were the only ones willing to fill a generic manufacturer that doesn't cause me stomach problems which is the only reason for a 2nd star in this review. They would not take my very common PPO insurance and required me to pay a cash price of $30 vs $7 at a commercial pharmacy. I was originally referred here by goodrx searches and she would not honor the goodrx coupon, saying that they were a scam by charging her at the end of the year and suggested I try elsewhere. My employers insurance changed for about 6 months and this prescription was covered to something under $10, and then the new year came and it was no longer covered because they no longer accepted this common PPO insurance and I had to go back to paying cash. Related to Marde's reviews earlier, my wife usually picks up these types of things for me but please read her reviews which I believe also includes not being dispensed the correct manufacturer at least twice. So again my interactions have been limited and other than the slightly aggressive first day related to the price. Last month due to the Yelp review from a few months ago when the pharmacist was apparently having family troubles that were told to two of us about a month ago and not before, she demanded that only I pick up my prescription going forward which is not desirable but acceptable if they must discriminate against my wife's freedom of speech. Today I called to refill my prescription and was told that she would not do business with me because of my relation to Marde. She again complained about negative Yelp reviews and wouldn't accept that I don't control my wife's actions. So instead of calling me ahead of time so I could prepare to get this medication elsewhere to avoid discontinuing treatment that my doctor prescribed, she just complained about Yelp reviews and that she would not fill it. read more

Today I decided to write this review for one reason, to express my gratitude to this pharmacy that's open and running every day even during such a difficult time. Susie is a frontline worker who I've been getting my medication from for my parents for the last 7 years. Medications are always ready ON TIME, the store is beautifully decorated and displayed and offer exclusive medical supplies we just can't find anywhere else. This place is awful. I called asking what the prescription should say for a power chair from my physician over two weeks ago. The lady acted like I was crazy, or that they had never gotten this request before, and has never followed up. I needed a walker in a short amount of time for continuing my rehab therapy. They did not ask my husband my height and sold him a walker far too short for me at 5' 10". My physical therapist, who is 5' 8", can't even use it effectively. This pharmacy is of course refusing to take it back or even exchange it for the correct, taller size and for this, they suck completely. I know they can't exchange it, but they were wrong in not asking my husband my height before they sold it to them. Shitty. read more

Great Pharmacy! I have had SO many problems in the past with Walgreens and Riteaid(even to the point where they didn't deliver the medication on time) in the area and am very happy I finally found a no hassel, quick and easy place to get my prescriptions filled. If you want customer service from pharmacists who actually know what they are doing, I would check this place out. To the reviewer below--- Where did you get the notion that there is terrible customer service? Hmmm, 5 Reviews on shops in the surrounding area of the store and all bad reviews.... Coincidence? Yelp police? Where are you. Is yelp losing it's quality? Moderators need to learn to take care of people like this- and competitors looking to bring others out of business. read more

Just stopped by Dr. Pharmacy at 1:00 pm on Thurs to get some needed medical supplies for the first time. They were closed. The posted hours of business is mon-fri 10:00 am - 6:00 pm. Even Yelp shows them open. Not even an explanation on the door. Tried calling their phone and no answering machine. That is no way to run a business, unbelievable they don't even have an answering machine. Very disappointed! especially since they are in my local community. Sad! Unreliable! First impression are everything in business. Not even worth the one star rating. read more

Forgive this review because it will probably be long. I just moved here from Northern California. I used a Rite Aid in San Jose for years and it was great. They knew me -great customer service etc. etc. Well I moved back to Calabasas and the Rite Aid downhere is awful. Horrible customer ,service ignore you -and not to mention treat you like you're some drug addict dirt bag if you ask them about refilling your controlled substance prescription. I know there are heavy regulation laws now, but really?I found this pharmacy by a search on yelp-I love the fact that they are small and a family owned a type of business. I inquired about some medications via email and I was replied to in less than 10 minutes. They take my insurance, Got my med info and I am now in their system. I have never had such exceptional service. I have yet to actually pick up my medications,but I know if this is an indicator of how the service will be, I'm staying at this pharmacy! read more

Could have been great to have a pharmacy so close to home, but it does not appear they know what they are doing. The lady with the accent that answered the phone made everything very difficult, said something rude about my current pharmacy and was combative. Ultimately, she didn't know what she was doing and had to ask someone else. TERRIBLE customer service. Scary to think they are handling meds. read more

The fine folks at Dr. Pharmacy are in a word; outstanding. After experiencing slow, mediocre service from the likes of CVS, Rite-Aid and Costco, we were elated at the prompt (and I mean prompt), friendly service doing business with this pharmacy. They truly care about their customers, will do everything to process prescriptions quickly and efficiently, try to minimize costs to the customer whenever possible and have even been known to deliver a prescription if needed. Dr. Pharmacy is the BEST! They have EXCELLENT customer service and the employees there couldn't have been more helpful! They knew how to answer each and every question I had! I have been to several other pharmacies in the area but I choose now to move ALL of our prescriptions and buying of my OTC medications from Dr. Pharmacy!! They are just GREAT! The pharmacy name is VERY easy to remember and location was terrific!! Parking was not a problem unlike other pharmacies and the pharmacy itself is just SUPERB!!!
