CVS is the typical mega-corporation that pays lip service to their customers, myself being one for a long-time (40+ years). The pharmacy is a revolving door of pharmacists and behind-the-counter personnel (excluding Demi, who is aces!) that don't even look at you. There must be pharmacies out there that actually care and listen; I'll find one today who will take my money and reciprocate with some degree of understanding. And while a know that losing one wronged customer doesn't mean much to them, I'll be damned if I ever set foot in the store again. Recently switched from Walgreens due to insurance and have never had so many issues. There's one specific woman who constantly rushes me off the phone. They also told me I was OK to take my second beginning dose of emgality the day after the first one which is wrong and I don't know how that would have affected my body. Pharmacy is often out of commonly used medications. Does anyone take inventory to be sure much needed items are in stock? The wait time to speak with someone in the pharmacy is ridiculous- it just took me 8 minutes to keep clicking on my phone yes/no questions (many irrelevant) to speak with a person about urgent issues. The pharmacist lacks the knowledge about products and is unresponsive verging on rude. read more

This was a horrible experience, me and a couple of friends were shopping for some snacks and cosmetic items and happened to find some items funny because of their names when suddenly and lady that works there with (blue) dreads has something to say, she told us that we need to grab our items and check out and leave immediately because we were being distributive. Although, we were laughing, it wasn't that loud and barely anyone was there. Afterwards, she kept watching us around and continuously kept asking questions as we were walking around looking for items, she even followed us to the register which was super uncomfortable. This is my go-to pharmacy. I have been going here for years and the service has been consistently good. The clerks are always friendly...and I have dealt with many there. The pharmacy department is always on point. On more than one occasion I have refilled a prescription in error and they have absolutely no problem putting it away and not having me take it. They are in the process of a remodel now so it's a little hard finding things especially since the store had been set up the same way all these years. I don't mind looking around for things and getting used to the new setup but I did see some customers ask clerks for help and the clerks took them directly to the products they were looking for. So that's a good thing and I wouldn't expect any less of them. I will continue to shop there for years to come! read more

The waits are very long, and sometimes you wait at the drive through for 20+ min with no contact. The main issue I have I though is that they claim they never receive called in prescriptions. I have had 4 different doctors office tell me that they called in a script and cvs says they never got it, but they'll do me the favor of calling the doctor for me. This has also happened with refills. 3 of those 4 scripts I have gone to neighboring pharmacies to have filled because cvs couldn't fill it after a week. This is a review of their photo center. I had a good experience with the customer service here. We had to get a passport picture for my 1 yr old and we knew it would be a daunting task for whomever is taking the picture. Patrick, the photo taker, was very patient. After about 20 takes, he got a shot where the pic was not blurry and my kid was looking at the camera. He took the time to make adjustments to the pic and said he would print it to make sure we liked it and could do a retake if needed. That's customer service! In addition to the passport picture, I had my holiday photo cards printed here. I didn't have enough time to order from Tiny Prints, and since Cvs offers same day pickup, I went with them. The website has a wide selection of card templates to choose from and there was a 33% coupon available at the time I placed my order. I ordered late Sunday night and it was ready at 11:30am the next morning, even though the confirmation email said by 1pm. I did call beforehand to check the status and the woman at first couldn't find my order. However once she did she called me back within 30 minutes to indicate my cards were ready. Another customer service win. As far as the card itself, the quality will not be as good as Tiny Prints, but if you have good quality photos, the card overall will look great. The card will likely be tossed anyway once the holidays are over :( Good job, CVS Photo. read more

My favorite CVS store ever. Its huge. It has a "supermarket" style section, with a large variety of food. It has such a wide variety of everything actually. The store is always immaculate. Never a mess. No matter what time of day you walk through the doors. The sales associates are some of the best any CVS has to offer. I really love this store. This is my go-to CVS, and I stop by at least twice per month. The staff here are helpful and friendly, especially Bernice in the pharmacy. The checkout line tends to get long rather quickly, and the pharmacy pick-up line can be heinous after work. The clerks at this store are -across the board - helpful, courteous and polite! There is a large parking lot so finding parking is never a problem. Generally, the store is neat with no merchandise or debris on the floors. That all being said, this store never stocks enough of the items in the weekly sale brochure. This week I went there specifically for sale items: Dawn detergent and Glucerna shakes.The shelves where each item should've been were completely bare! After reading the reviews I'm not as annoyed, because I see this is common for everyone who uses this pharmacy. I've been using the Harrison St pharmacy for almost three years now and my prescription has NEVER been filled on time. I've even had a prescription incorrectly filled (wrong number of pills) and they didn't give me the 4 it was missing. I visit them normally for birth control and I'll have to set a whole day aside because if you go to get your prescription, they'll tell you 40 minutes. Might as well go home and just wait until later. Not to mention they text you 600 times saying your prescription is ready.... when it's not. Then they act shocked when you say you're going back home and will pick it up later. Start valuing your customers' time. read more

I hate to say I'm a fan, as I'd much rather support a local pharmacist. But since I can't remember the last prescription I had filled anywhere, I use CVS for the quick supermarket alternative. From cards to OTC medication, the store has a great selection and is always super clean. The guys behind the counter are young and could probably be more attentive, but they're kids and they're actually very helpful if asked. Make sure you have your extra care rewards card for good savings. They now have a machine that can print your coupons out prior to checkout. Don't forget to grab a cheap loaf of bread and take a short walk to the other side of the parking lot and feed the ducks and geese! read more

I am at this CVS often: 3-4 times a week. Mainly for prescriptions for myself, my wife, or for our elderly (90-yr old) parents (they have 12 scripts each). I can truthfully say that the staff is in the pharmacy is second to none. Nancy and Tina are trusted pharmacists. I'm sure there are others in the store. Ashley is an incredible young lady. So many other young men and women who I do not remember by name but they ALWAYS know my face and name. The other part (front) of the store is rather large, but not overwhelming. I'd love this place to be open 24/7, but for that I need to visit nearby Clifton (Styertowne). If you need trusted pharmaceutical care, this CVS (#1158) in Nutley is the place to go. read more

CVS moved to this location about two years ago. It occupies the space formerly leased by A&P Food Stores. A bank is conveniently located on the same site. There is plenty of well-lit parking at this CVS. They also have a drive-in prescription drop off. They supposedly have an ATM machine within the store but for the life of me I haven't yet found it. The store is large, clean, well merchandised and fairly well stocked. They have everything from children's toys, office and home supplies, seasonable items, canned, convenience and frozen foods. I have been having my prescriptions filled there for years and for some reason, one year I decided to go with the neighboring drug chain down the street, which was a BIG mistake. I had my prescriptions immediately transferred back to CVS and have never been sorry. Their medications are always in stock and you only have to wait just a few minutes for a prescription. Their pharmacy is very well organized and they are totally famliar with your medication history and health plan. There's no fighting here to have a prescription filled (think Walgreen's=shutter). My only criticism, if you want to call it that, is that they close at 6 p.m. on Saturdays. There can be a long wait at the checkout counter. Most times there is only one checker; sometimes two but they need to be more cognizant of long lines and ensure that all registers are open when more than 4 customers are in line. Other than that, I am quite happy with CVS. If I don't feel like going to the supemarket I can run into CVS and pick up my milk, bread, some ice cream and cat food while they fill my prescriptions. Ooops, one more suggestion and you'll hear it from me in all my reviews... sales associates: please make eye contact and say "Thank you." It means so much to the consumer. read more

Really bad customer service here. Lines are really long and the "manager" Robert is terrible. He accused another customer in front of me of "fraud" (over some coupons! LOL) then proceeded to tell me my returns aren't from CVS, and when I produced a receipt he said he could still only give me store credit. Robert has annoyed me to the extent of wasting time to write this review. Now I have to go to another CVS to return the incorrectly purchased items with my RECEIPT. I don't know why I continue to put up with this place. I had to show the pharmacist repeatedly for months documentation of FDA law changes so she would fill my prescription. It took her months to remember and I had to keep a copy of the law in my car for months to present it every time. The law had changed months prior. Get with it. The head pharmacist is rude too and they rarely respect HIPPA and talk to you so other people cannot hear. read more
