I am beyond frustrated with my experience at Walgreens Pharmacy. I called earlier in the day and…read morewas told my insulin would be ready for pickup. When I arrived in the evening, I was told it was not in stock and on back order. The pharmacist's response was unbelievable he shrugged it off saying, "my people don't know what's in stock." Excuse me? How is a pharmacy not aware of whether life-saving medication is available? It was 9pm, I had no options, and the pharmacist showed zero care or concern. His "solution" was to tell me I could try CVS or Walmart neither of which are open 24/7. Then he had the audacity to say, "well, emergency rooms are open." Are you paying my ER copay? This is not only unprofessional, it's dangerous. This is life-sustaining medication, not a bottle of Tylenol. The lack of accountability, compassion, and basic professionalism from the pharmacist was unacceptable. I genuinely don't know how this individual is trusted to run a pharmacy. Walgreens needs to take a hard look at their standards of care and how their staff are handling patients who rely on them for critical medication.

In the past I've asked for similar and there was no hesitation. I had a sleeping baby in the car so didn't want to have to get out of the vehicle. Complaint: Madi, pharmacy tech, said I would need to come inside for the Claritin because she was busy. There was 1 person behind me and 1 at the counter inside on a Sunday evening. This did not sit well as it sounds like she was too busy to help me and wanted to service other people - I felt rushed out the door. This is not the type of service I want to experience every month when I pick up my medications. You might get half of your medications but at a cost of poor customer service. Very disappointing.

Complaint Type: Customer Service Issues Description of Complaint: I went to the CVS pharmacy located @3002 Highway K O Fallon MO to make a purchase on 08/01/2020 at approximately 8:45 PM. As I entered the store, a young employee by the name of "Shea Albert" announced that I had to have a mask. When I explained to her that I could not do so, she became angry and called a purported manager on duty, a "Mitchell." When I returned to the counter, Mitchell pleasantly processed the transaction without incident. As I was leaving, Shea, angrily and in a very disrespectful and obnoxious way, decided to lecture me that store policy was such that I "better have a mask next time" as she was apparently upset that I had made the purchase without a mask. At that point I returned to the cashier and I explained to her that I have health issues involving COPD and asthma which prevented me from doing so, she snapped that "it did not matter." When I asked her if she wanted me to report her to the store manger she said "go ahead." At this point "Mitchell" very loudly stated that the "store manager would back her up." She then patronizingly and dismissively told me "NOT TO COME BACK TO HER STORE". Unbelievable. It is logic-defying that such a young employee would so disrespectfully engage a loyal, regular customer in such a nasty, snide, and obstinate manner particularly after I specifically took the time - which I need not have done at all - to explain to her why I would not be doing what she was so obviously so completely dead-set on my doing. Given that CVS Corporate's own policy is not to engage customers who choose not wear a mask - regardless of the reason - it is surprising that this particular store would specifically defy the national policy of their own company and cause such an unfortunate experience for one of their customers - especially one with underlying health issues that prevent him from adhering to this particular policy. Furthermore, there is not a city (O Fallon), county (St Charles) or State (Missouri) mandate that masks be worn in any situation. Desired Settlement: Contact by the Business Desired Outcome Description: Given the completely unprofessional, uncomfortable, contemptuous and unnecessary atmosphere that Ms Albert and Mitchell created I would like the store manager to call and apologize for Ms Albert and "Mitchell" for their incredible behavior and for either their being relieved of their employment because of their willful defiance and utter lack of common sense and customer service or otherwise severely disciplined. If not I will proceed with contacting corporate and lodging further complaints. read more

Gateway always has stock of my monthly prescriptions, they treat you like a human, and like a neighbor, they always answer the phone, and they always have superior customer service. Wish they had an app or they digitally (or call) notified you when you're prescriptions are ready. I always have to call them to check status, and sometimes it can be multiple phone calls if the script is delayed from doctors office to pharmacy refill request. They are usually prompt and efficient regardless. Either way, I'd rather go to this friendly neighborhood pharmacy than ever have to wait in line again at a corporate-owned pharmacy competitor.
