This is a new location for me. Walmart third party is stepping up their game but the prices are increasing. Polo, Reebok, and Chap to name a few. Beauty section is great competition for Sephora and Ultra in my opinion. Sometimes the service here can be hit or miss, but today was great. All the staff members were so busy with everyone. I'm assuming shopping before Thanksgiving last minute to get last minute items and the staff was super patient and friendly to everyone. read more

I'm a big fan of this location. I have a family member that works in the area, so I stop in often. The store is always clean and the layout is nice. The shelves are stocked and employees are helpful. This is a very large store - you can easily get your steps in if you are shopping both grocery and retail sides lol. I love that they always have a good supply of seasonal items and food items. Their clothing area has been upgraded in the last couple of years and it is VERY impressive. They designed it to be a nice shopping experience and you can easily navigate between mens/womens/etc. They also have more upscale brands than you would expect from Walmart. I also like that they have a First Community branch inside their location. It makes is easy for me to complete bank transactions as needed. read more

Most of my experiences here have been okay, so I don't want to diss it too hard, but I had an experience this week that was kind of frustrating. They consistently don't have enough registers open, and the competence of the checkers is hit or miss. Often there will only be one register open for the whole store. They do have self-checkout, but when I go to Walmart, I usually fill my cart. Self-checkout doesn't work when you have a lot of items. Also, they are constantly rearranging the store, making it hard to find things. Yesterday, I was going grocery shopping, and I needed a couple of things that are only carried by Walmart. I try not to go here often, because it is always crowded, and there are never enough registers open, so when I am here, I stock up on the things I can only get at Walmart so I won't have to come back for awhile. I got into the only checkout lane that was open. Two of the items I purchased were kale and sweet potatoes. I manage my finances by keeping track of everything I spend in a document on my computer. When I go grocery shopping, I not only log what I spent and where, but I also itemize it in my budget when I get home. That helps me track if prices are going up or down on individual items. When I got home to log my purchases into my budget, I was surprised to see chinese okra and ginger root on my receipt, because I hadn't purchased either of these things. I logged everything except for those two so I could see what was missing. It was the kale and the sweet potatoes. When I first came up to the register, the person checking me out couldn't find a PLU code. I said, "It's kale, if that helps." He was looking at some sort of cheat sheet trying to find kale. With the sweet potatoes, it was the same thing. No PLU code, so he had to look it up on his little sheet. What I didn't realize until I got home was that he must have given up trying to find either item and just randomly chose two types of produce where the photo looked similar to what I was purchasing. Near as I can tell, the kale was rung up as chinese okra and the sweet potatoes were rung up as ginger root. I checked the prices, and both items are more expensive than what I actually bought, so I was ripped off by five or six dollars. I didn't feel like driving all the way back to sort it out with customer service, so I just chalked it up to experience, and I will never again leave Walmart without going over my receipt very careful. Another complaint I have is that items frequently show up on the receipt with no description except for some seemingly random letters and numbers, which makes it kind of hard sometimes to even tell if they rang up the right item or not. Most receipts from other stores are a little more easily decipherable, but with Walmart you sometimes just have to take their word for it. read more

I always forget why I don't go to the store more often even though it's the closest Walmart location to my house. It's poor service. Not enough registers open, they randomly have their garden center doors open, or locked. Just depends on whatever when they feel like. You'll come in the doors, register open, come back to check out, have a guy hanging around who will tell you that the registers are closed 10 minutes after they were just open. He still hanging around though. He's just not going to check you out. Back to the front of the store, it's the middle of the day, there's a lot of people here, only two registers open? I know it's a very busy store, and it's difficult to care about any individual customer experience. Other Walmart stores pull it off, why can't this one? read more

I get everything here. I'm disabled and I love the pharmacy prices and accuracy and friendless of pharmacy. The store employees show the same amount of care. They help me find things. I can't beat any of their prices anywhere. Anything I need, from birdfood to medicne, to food, to underwear. Walmart has it all, and at the best prices. read more

The one in O'Fallon (MO). It's a Walmart Supercenter. I come here to stock up on staples. What they carry, they're rarely out of (for long). This one is slightly easier to get in and out of than the one on Jungermann. The transition to self checkout has helped curb the massive lines at peak times. A little. Few of the self checkout stations have enough space if you've got a full cart. Standard Walmart layout, decor and service. A solid 'meh'. Can't complain about the prices (usuallly), but otherwise....well, I shop here for the prices. read more

Huge store! Always fresh produce, nice selection of meat, frozen fish, expansive cheese aisle. I occasionally grab some baked goods at the front of the store, too. They've made some nice updates to the layout over the last couple of years, more recently converting many of the traditional checkout lanes to two large sections of self checkout stations. They also stock my one of my favorite beers: Bud Light Chelada, and their prices can't be beaten. I don't often visit the non-grocery sections of the store, though I find that overall, it's always clean, well stocked and well organized. read more

I use to really like this Walmart. Not anymore. They have useless young men working the return desk. Doesn't know how to use his words, explain anything just stands there. I finally ask for someone else and the front end Mgr comes up with a attitude. I had just bought beer that was leaking all over the place. I noticed when I got to my car. So I go back to explain it and that's when I encountered him. Back to the front end Mgr. She said she needed the receipt. I understood that, but they literally watched me walk out and come back in. That wasn't good enough. She needed the receipt due to it being alcohol. Why's that. I'm wanting to exchange it for another non leaking one. Not good enough, God forbid. Still needing the receipt. I said look it up by my card. Oh yeah, we can do that. Why didn't you do that instead of wasting me time. I'm thinking everything is clearing up. Nope, she has to go check that I bought it there. Wtf! I literally came in. Oh I guess I put my groceries in the car and left for another Walmart to get the leaking beer to bring it there to exchange. Allows employee screw her register ,bullying all the time, the black guy fired while they kept the white trouble maker who is friends with humper who I mentioned earlier. Like swinging doors for employees and no concern for good employees. Not once did so called manager ask why I was using cane, couldn't reach areas of register. Pulled up for a replacement battery. This woman who was missing from the front counter upon my arrival showed up twenty minutes later. A kind young man rushed to the counter in the meantime, profusely apologizing for the lack of attention from his coworkers. Pam walks in with about 4 different associates. She says something along the lines of "whooo, I need me some drugs!!" Interaction was around 9:30 AM on 03/14/2022. I was left deeply disturbed and uncomfortable with the suspicion that there are people doing drugs and working on cars, simultaneously. Extremely unprofessional and disturbing. read more

Went to the location in O'Fallon,MO on Highway K. I was in the Electronics Department asking input on computers, there was 2 employees name Morgan and Trent who had the most rude arrogant attitude ever. I stood there at least 25 minutes and both just walked around me with asking if I needed help. So I went up to the both of them because I had intentions on purchasing a computer. I was asking about comparisons. The individual Morgan response was if I knew about computers I wouldn't be working at Walmart. It's sad and sickening how much customer service has degraded. I have always loved Walmart. But I certain do not love the Walmart at O'Fallon, Mo. During Covid, I understood and accepted the poor service, poor selection, and poor quality. But Covid is long past. When I am shopping at O'Fallon Walmart, I have learned not to ask an associate to help me find a product. They immediately, look at their assigned devise and struggle to find the location of the product. The shelves are empty for many popular products. Today, I went to the deli to buy one single piece of fried chicken breast. The associate promised me that the piece he chose was breast meat. When I arrived home, it was a back bone with nothing on it but fried crust. Ever since I was 30 years old (in 1985), I have had a substantial portion of my stocks investment in Walmart. That is going to change. There is no way that Walmart can continue to reward its investors with healthy gains while offering this type of poor service and poor quality of products. I am a bit depressed because many of my best memories of shopping as I grew up in rural Missouri included Walmart. But Walmart is now dead to me. Goodbye. I will miss you. read more

Sometimes I need a good reminder why I don't shop certain store, almost always poor service and attitude. I intentionally never go to the O'Fallon, MO Walmart due to poor service and attitudes. Apparently I needed to be reminded why I never go to this Walmart so that is why I went this day. I went in only to have to wait 10 minutes on the 1 cashier being well supervised by the 5 managers to run around and unlock our register because we wanted some alcohol. Then he forgot to remove the security device on the bottle. The guy at the door grabbed the bottle and took off to the other end of the store and gave the bottle to the manager. Manager then asked me to prove I purchased the bottle with a receipt. Showed her the receipt then had them refund the entire purchase. I just ran over to Target and grabbed everything I needed with no hassles. Sometimes I need a good reminder poor service does not get my business. read more

As a previous retail worker I don't typically review stores, but this is the 4th trip to this Walmart where it's been an annoying experience. The plastic containers section not only is not organized but the lids there don't match the latch containers and the one lid I found to match the container was damaged. Fine nbd, go to get deodorant and a couple other hygiene items, guess what? Out of stock on all and there were none on the top shelf to be pulled down to refill. Sat. 11/6 Poor customer service. I had a pick up order for this date between 9:00-10:00. My order froze on the app even though it gave me an order # . I have done this several times and never had a problem. So for some reason it didn't complete my order for it to be picked. I didn't realize that until I was there to pick-up my order. So I had to call the number on the sign. Even though they could see my order I was told there was nothing they could do. They wanted me to call another number for assistance. I don't understand why they couldn't go ahead and pick the order for me. That would have been good customer service. I understand apps can fail and not work properly. Walmart should have a back up in place to accommodate a customer in these situations. read more

I went to Walmart and a very helpful man,Mike,in the Automotive Department had the battery and installed in about 25 minutes and I was back on the road. I'm being nice, and give this store 2 stars, very nice.....now for the fun part, cause, "Hey Homer, they've got a Wal-Mart over here's in, where is it? OFallen." And I'm going to review it. So, I went to try on yoga pants that are sized 2 sizes too small, but cute as hell, so I had to buy a bit bigger size, by Danskin (Kohl's carries them,but these are a few dollars chepaer at Wal-Mart.) I went to the fitting room, and well I'll be....here's the conversation that ensued: "I'd like to try these on," says I to the fitting room associate. I had 2 pairs of pants. The associate is about 80, and it's awesome that she has a job there. She is taping up a pair of pants that someone returned. "These smell all like smoke. Someone smoked their cigarettes, and returned these. I have to clean them up. Wal Mart took them back that. Wal Mart takes back everything. Wal-mart even takes back underwear that people have worn. It is my job to wash them out. I wash out the stains of the underwear people return. I'll be right with you." So I finally got to a fitting room, tried them on, put them in the cart, and went to find the plastic bags, which I intended to buy in the first place. I asked an employee where the plastic bags were. This is the answer for the day, "Down that aisle down there." (Pinch myself, I know I'm not in eastern Missouri, I am in the Ozarks, in Camdeton, or further down than that.). I look, and there's like, 10 aisles. Huh? I did find them, and I went to pay for them. Well, I needed to mail something, so I asked the cashier where the nearest post office was. I know, Wal-mart is not a tourist center, but they should still be able to direct me. She answers, "It's down the road. I don't know the name of the road. But it's down there." Then she offers to find someone else who might be able to give better instructions. "I know where the post office is, it's down that road there, and you'll find it." There's no road. No road, no post office found in the area, no more time wasted with the hillbilly bunch at the OFallen Wal-Mart. read more

I still waited 30+ minutes to get the order. I would recommend just going in and doing the shopping yourself and save your time. read more

Walmart isn't my bag but I was in the neighborhood and I needed a few keys made so I stopped in. This is a large store and it was mobbed. I located automotive which is where the key counter is and the clerk informed me they were out of the plain blanks for the key I needed so of course I had to buy the fancy blanks at $2.70 each. Granted I could have gone elsewhere but I was there and there was no line and blah blah blah. I saved my receipt with the keys as I've been to this rodeo before and a lot of times they do not work. I would LOVE to give this store a 1-star. But it would make me SUCH a hypocrite as it is the sole provider of our groceries. AND, since we started shopping here our grocery bill HAS gone down (just like the commercial promises). So for me to give it a 1-star, you'd assume I'd never set foot in there again, and yet, I know for a fact we shopped there 4 times just last week. It's easy, cheap, one-stop shopping and I'm sorry, but I'm too lazy to deal with anything else. Especially since the local Schnucks (I have a review on that atrocity of a store as well) usually makes me want to punch people. My fellow patrons at Wal-Mart are no different from the rest of the Bubbas I'll see around town in the area we live in, so even that isn't going to keep me away for long. I hate you, Wal-Mart, but I need you. And you know it. The problem with this (and any) Wal-Mart is that you walk in to find rows and rows and rows of check-out aisles (ours has something close to the upper 30s). Rows which usually are staffed by 3 people, one of whom is about to go on break despite having 7-8 customers waiting in their line. I have NEVER once seen an employee walking around in order to assiste you or at least point you in the right direction (one exception, Electronics, which is crawling with associates, all of whom will ask you if you need help when all you're trying to do is get printer ink). I am convinced that the number of employees actually staffing a Wal-Mart at any point in time is less than 10 and most of those are at the Blimpie on their break. Produce is always kind of hit or miss - both in the sense that sometimes they have an adequately stocked produce section and sometimes they don't and also that sometimes the produce is good and sometimes it's bad. Still, it's kind of fun buying cat litter, bananas, a door mat, and flip flops all in the same store. Especially when the grand total is less than 20 bucks. It's Walmart...it has what I need at the price that I'm looking for. It's super close to mi casa and Open 24/7 including most Holidays. The customer service is what you would expect amongst some of O'Fallon, MO's finest citizens. You can't come into this type of store with high expectations. It's always super jam packed on the market side during the day and all the "funny" people come out late at night. Has anybody really ever killed time roaming around this place at 3am in the morning....it's a trip...seriously. Watch out for the hustling mountains of the stock getting put up at that time too. You know what....they have pretty good deals on their lawn and garden products. Most of my landscaping plants were bought there. I wonder why though, the lake st. Ive lived in the area for a good decade now and each time I decide to go to walmart over another everyday store I walk out disappointed. On top of the horrible customer service and employees having no idea what they're doing, the money center has closed early while I was in line waiting multiple times. Today in fact I came in at noon and when I got in line the worker told me to leave and that she's closing. Which was odd to me CONSIDERING THE MONEY CENTER DOESNT CLOSE UNTIL 8?!
