    CVS automated system sending false information about refills.

    I am so glad when we moved and had a different CVS closer. They couldn't handle a simple refill request correctly. After sending a request for refills via their automated system and getting a message within half an hour that said "Your DR DID NOT APPROVE your refill request," I called the doctor to see what was going on. They never got the request. So I requested it again and called the doctor back as soon as I got the automated message again that they didn't refill it. Again they didn't receive it. After waiting on hold for 12 minutes, I got to talk with someone in the CVS pharmacy. He said it was sent over so I explained they never received it and something had to be off--which I emphasized was weird because this has been refilled before with no issue. Finally, after he had no explanation, I asked what number they were faxing. It wasn't even the right area code for the doctor's office. When I tried to give him the right number, he kept interrupting. Finally I got him to take down the right number. Then I asked why the system was telling me the doctor didn't approve it if they never received it. Apparently, their automated system tries to send the request three times. If it never goes through, he said it tells the customer they need to contact the doctor. I pointed out that the message had actually said the doctor didn't approve it which wasn't true and, again, this had never happened before. He had no explanation except that at some point they must have accidentally changed the fax number. No apology. Nothing to try to make the situation better except he would try to fax it over again. Then I had to remind him to change the fax number in the system. Our CVS on Magnolia and Old Alvin Road doesn't have this double so we'll be transferring the medication as soon as it's refilled. Literally they couldn't do the simplest job that's automated.

    The pharmacy at this location is ridiculous. Extremely slow beyond what's reasonable. Staff's phone interpersonal skills are subpar.

    I had a very disappointing experience with this Walgreens pharmacy while trying to pick up a…read moreprescription for my daughters. From Saturday through Monday, I came in repeatedly and was met with staff who were cold, nonchalant, and dismissive and acted as if they were robots. It truly felt like customers were treated as numbers rather than human beings. My children don't often get sick so this experience was especially upsetting, and the lack of compassion from most of the staff was alarming. I was fully ready to write a terrible review and move all of our family's prescriptions to CVS because the treatment I witnessed and personally received was completely unacceptable. However, everything changed because of one African American staff member this angle name was D'Anna. She overheard my interaction with another employee and immediately stepped in with empathy and urgency. She went above and beyond to try to accommodate my needs, even attempting to arrange free delivery of my daughters medication after clearly seeing that I had two toddlers under the age of 4 and being pregnant (in my 7th month). Her kindness, professionalism, and genuine care completely shifted the experience. If it were not for D'Anna, I would have stopped using this pharmacy altogether. She is the only reason I am giving this location any credit at all. Walgreens should take a serious look at how customers are being treated and recognize employees like D'Anna who actually embody compassion and excellence customer service!

No greeting, no acknowledgment--just silence and hold music. Sometimes it rings again, they pick up, and do the exact same thing. This is a pharmacy, not a casual retail store. People are calling because they need their prescriptions, and being treated like this is unacceptable and extremely unprofessional. If the staff doesn't want to be there, they should find another job and let someone who actually cares do the work. Ignoring patients and wasting their time is rude, disrespectful, and honestly concerning when it comes to healthcare. I would not recommend this pharmacy to anyone.

    This is by far the worst pharmacy known to mankind. I'm planning on switching my pharmacy right…read moreafter I write this review. I usually have one prescription to pick up from here and would usually go through the drive-through to pick it up, but even at the drive-through, you will be waiting ten million years for them to process one vehicle to move onto the next. What really pisses me off is the fact that I called in to refill my pharmacy yesterday and was told that the pharmacy needed to reorder more medications because they had run out and were told that they didn't have any emergency doses available. I was told that I would receive a call indicating once the medications had been received. Guess what?! At noon, I haven't received any calls, texts, or emails from Walgreens Pharmacy. Meaning, I missed two doses of life-threatening medications. Of course, I called the pharmacy to verify and spoke with the head pharmacist and she acted like she didn't know anything. Just pathetic. A pharmacist with years of schooling and she doesn't even know what's going on. She told me that my prescription was ready to be picked up by Saturday. I asked why wasn't I notified, and all she could say was, "I'm sorry, it is ready now". There's a lot of miscommunication and incoherence taking place at this pharmacy. I hate it and will not lose my life because of their carelessness.
