yeah, they've got a monopoly, whaddya gonna do. But it sucks that they make it so obvious. I guess they just aren't bad enough to force me to drive to target or wegmans or rite aid. the location is so convenient I put up with their complete incompetence in getting things done in an accurate or timely manner. But the corporate folks really ought to think more about their reputation and do something about the bad management. I'm writing this review mostly for the Minute Clinic that resides inside. A Minute Clinic is like an Urgent Care and this one is great. It is a place for illnesses like urinary tract infections, strep throat, cold and flu symptoms, etc. You can go on the website to get more info because I'm pretty sure they do well checkups also. I have a primary care doctor but I like to come here when I don't want the hassle of scheduling appointments and missing work. It is in and out. The nurse practitioners are friendly and knowledgeable. Some insurances will cover the visit. For me I just have to pay my co-pay. If you do not have insurance the price is a lot lower than going to a doctor's office. There is also the plus of being right in a pharmacy to get what is prescribed to you. If you are planning on going, you should be aware that the nurse practitioner goes on lunch usually between the hours of 1-3 (it varies). During this time they do not see anyone. read more

If I can give No (meaning '0') star, I would. My husband was just released from hospital from an open-heart surgery, and the nurse from NY Presbyterian Hospital faxed in total 8 prescriptions 2 hours ago. My. husband's life depends on the medications. When we arrived This CVS, they told us there was no faxed prescription faxed in at first. After I asked their fax numbers, I told them that it was the same fax numbers I got. Then, they said the fax prescriptions were not clear. As soon as I asked them, why did they call to ask the hospital to re-fax them?!! They gave me a bad attitude: grab the prescriptions from my hands, and threw back 3 prescriptions. They stated these prescriptions are over the counter. I looked at the paper and said, "Where 'over-the-counter' do I find Docusate Sodium?" The answer was "I'll help you in a mins." Guess what by now (I'm still stand here waiting) it is already 20 mins...still no help & any prescription!! I'm going to stay here until I get the medications for my husband (even I have not rest & eaten as of this AM), and if my husband's heart stops, I'll surly get an attorney to go after them!! Watch out, people! If you care about yourself & love ones, you may Want to rethink to use this CVS store!!! read more

Make sure to check your item prices. I've caught them 3 times now listing one price then charging a different one. Today was the Gillette razors. Listed as $11.99 for the 1 and $13.99 for the extra blade pack. When they rang up they came up as $12.49 and $15.99 instead. It then took them 20 minutes to process a simple refund. I then scanned several other razors at the red machine and none matched the isle tags!! No apology at all, just them rolling their eyes. They also don't like coupons at all and will even decline newspaper manufacturers coupons for exact products if they beep!! read more

The absolute worst customer service ever!! I was informed my prescription would be ready at 10:30, then 1 and finally at 3pm. I arrive at 3 only to be told that it's not ready and it will be expedited. At 3:30 I am still waiting!! read more

Five stars because the cashiers are friendly, the managers are friendly and they always go the extra mile no matter how busy it gets in the store. They always greet me with a smile. The pharmacy personnel are also very nice. read more

If I could I would give the front retail portion of the location 4 stars for cleanliness and customer service, and the pharmacy 0 stars. In the past I rarely needed any prescriptions so I just put up with it. Even then the staff seemed incompetent, rude, disinterested, or some combination there of. What is so hard about finding my prescription in an alphabetized system? I must say though that the past few pharmacists really did seem like they were trying, but they also seemed overworked. The past 4 times I've tried to refill my prescription there has been some kind of issues. When calling to check on things I've been put on hold for 10-15 minutes. Sometimes I have to come back more than once to get it sorted out. It's not ready at the time or day when they say it will be, without prior communication or explanation. I will be transferring the rest of my refills to another CVS location. read more

The front is fine. The pharmacy never has prescriptions ready on time though, and it's not unusual for them to take 2-3 hours longer than the established pickup time. Also, they don't call you to tell you it's going to take longer. You only find out after you've gone out of your way to pick it up. The catalyst for me, however, is that the pharmacists and pharmacy techs are consistently rude, and they frequently manage to mix up my insurance info. read more

This review is in reference to the CVS pharmacy in Plainsboro. I find the staff completely incompetent and unfriendly. I went to pick up a perscription and they completely had the wrong one, after my doctor had just called it in moments prior. They made it look like it was my fault, gave me a hard time, put me on hold for minutes on end. Every experience at this pharmacy is horrible and from now on I will be going to the CVS located on Princeton-Hightstown Road : ) read more

I have experienced the same poor service that the earlier poster (Josh) has experienced with the Plainsboro CVS. On multiple occasions the staff cannot locate my prescription only to be told later that "oh, we located your prescription, we aren't sure what happened" There have even been several instances where the employee cannot find the prescription that has already been filled because he didn't know which box to look in. And to top it all off the staff is rude and unhelpful and will not make the effort to call you back when they have to contact your physician. I'm with Josh and I will look to another pharmacy that employs competent staff. read more

Horrible. Have had so many bad experiences at this CVS. They have lost my prescriptions on several occasions, take longer then expected to fill prescriptions, are extremely disorganized and the staff is rude. Once my refills are up I'm switching to a Rite Aid which is 20 minutes away. read more

It's really hard to understand why people continue to use this pharmacy for their prescriptions....the service is horrible, the price more expensive than the pharmacy across the street and the staff is so overwhelmed that it is a near miracle that anyone gets the right prescription....popular doesn't mean good...I would urge people to try the local pharmacy....a much better and possibly safer experience. read more

Run away from this minute clinic! I waited almost an hour to be seen. Why is it even called a minute clinic?? The nurse practitioner kept answering her cell phone and texting during my visit. I wouldn't even call it a clinic. The practitioners click and read off a screen. The computer tells them what to do!. Anyway, I was told I had a viral infection even though my throat and tonsils were extremely inflamed. I asked for a strep test and was told no. I left and drove myself to a competitor aka a real urgent care. I have strep throat, tonsillitis, and a sinus infection. I guess it wasn't viral ( but then again she kept reading my diagnosis off a computer screen). How does this count as practicing medicine??? Anyway, go somewhere else and don't waste your time. I did and I was glad to finally get an antibiotic. read more
