This location always has a neat array of items in their miscellaneous gift and seasonal product section. Its worth a look for finding something unique and inexpensive. I have never had an issue of waiting in a long line without cashiers calling up additional cashiers to ensure the line does get moving. Hey here is the thing. Laws are laws! I read up on the laws when I was upset about certain things. New prescriptions can not be dispensed without the pharmacist there. Why?! Because every new rx has to come with the offer of a consultation which only a pharmacist can give! This pharmacy serves a large elderly population, this being said elderly people take a little longer to do things. If I see the person in front of me struggling to get their stuff on the counter, I offer help instead of complaining. It is called patience and courtesy. The girls in this pharmacy have to deal with a lot, and I give most of them major props for the way that they handle it. Could some be nicer...yes could some smile some more...yes... Could one of the stop having long conversations and laughing it up when there is a line .. omg yes It is always nice to see the smiling face of the same person year after year since she was 18. I look for her everytime I go in. Not only has she shown dedication to her job, but she knows most customers and their families by name. I see her out in the community, attending events and volunteering. She is also the fastest and still the most personable. Other customers in line have shared my opinion that she is the only reason we still come to this pharmacy. One lady said that she moved to Rancho and there are several pharmacies closer to her including 5 cvs stores but she goes in because of our favorite girl. read more

I normally don't leave negative or nasty reviews but I am absolutely furious. I transferred my prescriptions here after a long tirade of idiocy from my insurance and because my original pharmacy was changing management and no longer able to take my insurance. I was CLEARLY told that this pharmacy takes my insurance by BOTH my insurance AND the pharmacy staff. I put in an URGENT request for one of my medications to be filled over a week ago and gave all of my information and insurance. I received no follow-up or calls, so I finally got around to calling them and asking about my refill. At this point I am out of my medication. The pharmacist tells me my insurance is not processing for this medication and that I owe $200. I panic and call my original pharmacist who says there SHOULD BE NO PROBLEM. I call back CVS and am left on hold for an hour. I call back three times before getting someone on the phone and am told to give them the number to my original pharmacy, but they are CLOSED at this point. So the CVS pharmacist tries to run my insurance again to no avail. She then conveniently tells me they are completely out of the medication I need and cannot give me emergency pills. At this point I'm crying and deeply upset, to which she dismissively says she can't do anything and good luck being off my medication until Monday. In a final panic, Costco Pharmacy - though they DO NOT take my insurance - is fully willing to give me a few emergency pills and charge me only $20. Screw you, CVS. read more

I had a very scary episode today. And thank you God for Jean, the pharmacist, Kristen and Chantel. I was at the counter and started feeling very disoriented and dizzy. I didn't realize what it was until afterwards. I finally realized my sugar dropped very low. Kristen saw I was about to faint and ran around the corner and caught me before I fell. Jean ran and got a chair for me. Chantel got me water and orange juice. They checked on me and wouldn't let me leave until I was okay offer to call my husband. Chantel walked me out to my car to make sure I was okay. I'm very grateful for these ladies. They were very attentive and I honestly think they saved my life. I was embarrassed because I started perspiring very heavily and there was other customers there. Kristen just kept reassuring me there was nothing to be embarrassed about. They took care of me for over half an hour until I was well enough to get up and drive myself home. And then they checked on me to make sure I got home okay. I've read the other reviews and yes the parking lot it's not really clean and there's usually people hanging around outside but I won't go anywhere else. After an early morning visit to the E.R. I thought I'd go to my neighborhood CVS to fill the prescription and head on home. I was greeted by a very loud Kamila Hamdulla. She was aggressive, loud, and quite rude. Even though there was no one in line ahead of me, it took her a while before she came up to the window to assist me. She would ask me private questions very loudly, and when I'd whisper the response, she'd yell what she'd heard back to me. After she had entered my information in the system she told me that CVS didn't take my insurance and I'd have to go to another pharmacy. I should have just gone to the pharmacy in the hospital. Ugh. Way to overpriced!!!! And the cashiers and management have really bad attitudes and customer service! The cashier I had acted as if it was a huge problem and inconvenience when I asked to take a few items off when I realized I was paying way more for items I could get for way cheaper at a different store. read more

Worst customer service around for picking up prescriptions. I came last week and the pharmacist in charge said my prescription would be ready on the 4th. Now the 6th and after waiting 20 minutes in line, she tells me it's not ready , wait. That was 30 minutes ago. Always a slowwwww line here. Done with CVS. I have been coming to this CVS for many, many years....I've been an extremely loyal customer. Customer service has been declining here for some time and they are consistently out of stock on a lot of items. Today, the checker was all alone and dealing with some woman with a lot of returns. Instead of calling for help, she just continues on. I'm waiting with my hands full and ask "hey, can you call for back up?". She just stares at me...no response. I set the items down on the floor and walked out! I'm so fed up with giving my money to places who do jot value their customers! I'm not sure if you realize this, but it is the customers who keep your store open...maybe you should treat them better! I spend A Lot of money in this store!!! This was not my first bad encounter here and I'm not usually one to walk out of anywhere, but enough is enough! I'm not surprised at all to see what a low rating you have...geez! read more

Low budget location. Big store, but unusual product placement.

Every time I pick up my mom's meds from this location there always seems to be a medication missing. Not even kidding... Every single time! They also don't give any reminders when your meds are ready. read more

Consistently terrible service. They change my prescription without my consent EVERY TIME I go to pick it up. I absolutely hate this CVS.

I have never used the pharmacy however the rest of the store is fabulous. Always clean and the entire staff are incredibly helpful and kind. That store is huge and the staff really does their best to address every customer. The manager John is so caring. Sadly, I am unable to go as often as I used to since I moved away. This pharmacy is horrible. I've never had so many issues at any pharmacy. There is literally a problem every single time I've been here. This will be my last time going here. Once again this pharmacy is telling me my prescription is not ready and had not been called in when I physically watched the doctor call them over four hours ago. Horrible service and they blame the customers and doctors for their own mistakes. Don't go here! 5/28/16 update Had to come back to this pharmacy because my doctor called in a prescription to the same pharmacy I used. Today I went in to pick up my prescription and I saw that this time it was actually ready BUT before the clerk would hand it to me she said she can't dispense it to me because their pharmacist is on lunch. WTF! She said I could wait 20 minutes or so for the pharmacist to come back before she could hand it to me. I spoke to the store manager and he said he was new and not aware of the policy. My prescription is for a face wash- not some hard core drug. I told them I don't need a pharmacist or consultation but they would not budge so I finally had them transfer the prescription to another cvs farther from my home because I never want to come back to this sh^t hole of chaos again! read more

My dentist prescribed antibiotics for me after my two wisdom teeth were removed. It was at least 5 minutes till 9 pm when I arrived at the cvs pharmacy. However, Mrs pharmacist claimed they were closed for the day. She had no problem sending her patient to the 24 hr cvs in Upland in the middle of the night, well, I should say before 9 pm. She even suggested I could drop off my prescription for the night and pick it up in the morning. I guess she had faith in me that I could make it to tomorrow without the help of my antibiotics. But I wonder if this is her "professional" advices for the benefit of her patient or only for the sake of her own convenience. She was really rude. No smile at all because she didn't want to see any patient and she wanted to go home. Anyway, I was tired and had no interest talking to her any longer. She deserves a no star review in my opinion. I wonder how many bad reviews it takes for cvs to consider replacing this one. I ended up driving to Walgreens in Upland and get the antibiotics. I use 986 pharmacy in La Verne for my regular prescription. I never realized how good I have been treated until I was treated so rudely tonight. They are friendly and considerate. They deliver my prescription to my door every month. And their price is less than Costco pharmacy I once used. So highly recommend them. The only drawback is they don't have extended hours. This store is in desperate need of a major remodel. Other CVS stores are beautiful compared to this one. What just because it is in Pomona it doesn't have to look nice? Most all of the staff are friendly and provide good customer service, especially Kristen in Pharmacy. However, it has taken me many visits to get use to Luz's poor customer service at the Pharmacy counter. The shelves can be pretty bare at times. It takes them way to long to convert their seasonal over, always with boxes and messes on the floor. read more

My comments pertain to the store as a whole, not specifically the pharmacy. This is, without a doubt the dirtiest establishment I have ever frequented, including gas stations. And, it has consistently been this way for the 15 years I have had to go here. The parking lot is abysmal....this has been brought up to the manager several times over the years and he claims he has no control over the filth that is strewn throughout the lot. I have called the police more than once when I've had children with me and they have come too close to used condoms and hypodermic needles. To no avail, the parking lot remains a trash dump. Of course, it does serve the purpose of setting the tone for the store itself. Take a look behind any display, or the grime that is in every corner and edge of the store. The walls near the pharmacy area are as filthy as the floors! I have called CVS corporate to report this and to let them know that I have taken photos of the dirt, filth, and grime throughout the store...I have been told that I will be contacted by a regional manager within 48 hours....I'm not holding my breath. read more
