Came here yesterday thinking I needed to pick up prescriptions. I couldn't remember if I had said CVS or Walgreens on Towne and Foothill at my appointment. As I walked to the pharmacy, I noticed CVS has moleskin and picked a couple packs up because my husband and daughter use it sometimes when they wear certain shoes. At 11 a.m. the line for the pharmacy wasn't long, I was third in line. The pharmacy tech was polite and professional as she looked me up in the system. Apparently I had guessed wrong and she just smiled and said no problem when I explained I had made an error. She let me pay for the moleskin there rather than having to get in line again at the front store cashiers. Overall a quick trip to CVS where my service needs were met satisfactorily. read more

Customer Appreciation and Service Fail. On Monday Sep. 15th and approximately 8:05 AM I walked into this location shortly after dropping my sweet little girl off at school. I was dressed in well kept, clean workout attire consisting of a blue Adidas shirt, matching blue Adidas running shoes and grey shorts. Why this is partly important is I didn't appear disheveled or unkept in any way. Immediately upon walking in I was greeted by a male voice saying "welcome". I quickly turned towards the voice, saw an average height female and a tall male standing behind the register counter and replied "hey". I walk straight to the first aid isle, grab some nitrite gloves as I use them for various tasks throughout the house including fun activities like preparing ingredients & meals with my little girl and her friends like we did the previous day. They really enjoy the process and the outcome so it's a fun activity that teaches great life skills as well as bonding through sharing a meal they made together. I then turn to walk towards the register and noticed something odd. The female, Yasmeen, was now standing at the entry door looking directly at me. I know this because there were only 4 people on the sales floor. It was her, the other person with her and a customer who'd walked in right before me. As I continued to walk towards the front where the registers are I made a right then another left into another isle which leads directly toward the start of the register line marking as they have it set up where you have to go to a certain spot to get to the register. This is where stores set up a marked system so there's no confusion as to who's next in line. As I come out of that isle heading towards the register I notice Yasmeen still has her eye on me and the tall gentleman is about 8 feet to my right just behind her facing the opposite direction leaning over doing something. As I get to the register she says: "I can help you here". My immediate reaction was asking her: "Were you just watching me"? Her response: "Yes, because I saw you go this way and then that way and you come here sooo..."? Holy crap! Are you for real? I just rolled up in here, dressed neat & clean and yo9u decide to convince yourself I may be a thief? I told her: "You can keep these". I then gently pushed the three boxes of gloves that would've totaled over $80.00. She says: "You don't want these"? My response: "No". I then walk out. I walk half way to my car and was like... No! I spend way too much at this place to be treated like that so I decided to go back in, ask for the store director's full name and number as I intend to lodge a complaint. I walk back in to now find the tall gentlemen still in the same position which was well within earshot of what had just transpired. I tell him: "Give me the store director's full name and contact number". He says: "I'm the store manager Chris". The man's name badge read "Chris Ayoubi" I believe and I proceeded to tell him what just happened. His response, was pure managerial failure. Not only did he not apologize and ask how he could better improve my experience he seemed confused which is odd given that he was there through all of my interaction with Yasmeen. He also seemed unaware of what happened and I would've understood had he been 20 feet away unable to hear but he was right there. He even turned and looked as I told her I was no longer buying the items. I had to explain to him exactly what happened to which he tried denying her action. Only problem is that she told me, in her own words, that yes she in fact did do it. Then it dawned on me. Our buddy Chris here most likely instructed Yasmeen to keep an eye on me. I know this behavior and dynamic quite well as not only am I a service oriented business owner but have worked in the various service industry roles from lowly employee to middle management, upper management and owner/operator. Chris, your immediate response should have been: "Sir I'm very sorry about what just happened. Why try our best to be welcoming and we failed today. What can we do to better serve you next time"? Instead I got confusion, a lack of self awareness and a lack of taking responsibility. Had he apologized and maybe said they've repeatedly robbed or something I would've taken the time to coach him on how to better improve his behavior, Yasmeen's behavior and not lost a customer. Congratulations folks. It's a big fat "F". today. As a result, I'll be walking back in there today and making sure I get a letter of apology from both of them. As we hit the "service needed" button we expected to wait several minutes but associate came right over. On another aisle, another locked case but Mgr Chris responded right away and as we were in line to check out, he opened a new register to speed our purchase and handled our many coupons and payment methods like the pro he is. They are very efficient... Answer any questions quickly thoroughly... And are very polite! Given the nature of the public today and the fact that they are dealing with a majority of people well over the age of 50 they are amazingly patient and kind... And the pharmacists are excellent! read more

I feel really conflicted about this CVS. It's close by and the pharmacy and store staff are really friendly and great. All the interactions with employees have been terrific, including vaccine staff. But the state of this store is shocking. It's absolutely filthy and run down. And I really mean filthy. The floors are disgusting and the aesthetic of the store is ca. 1980. There's really no excuse for it. The stock is either out or missing and they keep making the store smaller by blocking off aisles. It's been like this for years and is desperately in need of a deep cleaning and a remodel. read more

All the people in the pharmacy used to be so nice. I get so many medications they knew me by name. Everyone is new, I don't know one person! They won't help you after you've stood in line at the pick up for your medications and you ask them to check on another prescription, they tell you to go to the drop off window for help. I really REALLY want to give an overall positive review for this location. I must say every time I've shopped here ALL of the sales associates have been GREAT. The problem with this location has to do with the fact these is always trash lest in the parking lot. There are issues with homelessness on the premises. The owner was very rude to me and my mom we got ice cream and the ice cream had a deal buy one get 50% off the other so we got two ice cream and we bought after we left my mom noticed that he charged us the full price for both the ice creams so we went back in inside and told him if we could return them because they were expensive they were 12 dollars each one but for a little ice cream and he got mad and started giving us an attitude saying that he told us that only people who play with card get the discount and he got mad that we returned them. Also the store is very lonely and empty the floors look like they haven't been cleaned in years no one really goes there I don't know why it's still in business it needs to be shut down ASAP. read more

I had recently purchased some gift cards which I found out were never activated. The receipt confirms this. I explained this to three different very rude and unprofessional staff members before being only the manager could help me. But not before "checking the security tape" to see what I purchased. As if that was suppose to scare me. Um ok! Finally after a whole lot of back and forth. After the staff ripped open other gift cards making them useless. I was informed that the manager would be in tomorrow and he would contact me. After I left I realized I didn't get the managers name I called back and was told by Debbie that the managers name was Adam and wouldn't be in until Friday. I informed her that I was told he would be in tomorrow and now it's Friday. So which one is it? That was when I was told that if I didn't hear from him I could call and "bug them". Rude! SKIP THIS LOCATION! I've had 2 minute clinic appointments for a TB test/read. 10 min appt max. Made an appointment both times and the first time they were 40 min behind, and no explanation. I'm currently waiting 20 min past my appointment time and they just took a walk in before me after I've been waiting 15 min... I have gone to this pharmacy for many years most of the time the people are nice and yes sometimes there is a line. I do not mind the line as much as I mind being publicly humiliated by one of the pharmacists. I went to the window to get a prescription, normally there is never an issue but the last time I went in Kamilia helped me and proceeded in yelling out the name of every medication I have ever gotten. I felt that my information should not be shared loud enough for the world to hear it. I feel as if my rights given to me by the hippa laws have been violated. Omg thank goodness for the Minute Clinic! I checked in online and drove over there, making sure to arrive 10 minutes early. As soon as I arrived, I was seen by the doctor, Mary Hull. She was so sweet and efficient with me! I came in because I had a NASTY UTI brewing. The pain was escalating every hour. I called the nearest Urgent Care Clinic and they told me the waiting times was two hours I am so thankful for the Minute Clinic! I would give this pharmacy NEGATIVE stars if I could!! The customer service is horrible, their urgency to help customers with prescriptions is the worst. They lie about communication with doctors to fill prescription or letting doctors know they are out of medication. They go months with out medications and don't communicate that, you are then left waiting for your medication that won't be filled. NOT USE THIS PHARMACY!! read more

I visit the pharmacy once a month just to pick up. I do enjoy their automatic refill thing they have. I used to receive a text message notifying me my prescription is ready for pick up. Now I only receive a phone call which is fine too. Every single time I visit there is a huge line with only one pharmacist helping the customers. I have visited the pharmacy on different times of the day and it is always the same thing! I'm going to try another pharmacy once my refills are done! read more

SSSllllllooooowwwww. I used to go to the CVS pharmacy on Foothill/Wheeler in La Verne, and they were usually pretty speedy getting my prescriptions filled. Moved to Claremont, so started going here. What a difference. The wait time to drop off my prescriptions was so long, I decided to start timing it. Over the last 5 times, the average was 17.4 minutes. That's just to drop them off! Then, I'm almost always informed that "they're short on staff", so it is strongly suggested I come back the next day. Need them today? They'll "try" to get them filled in a couple hours, but no guarantee. At the La Verne location, the drop off line was probably 5 minutes at most, and I was usually called to pick up in under 10 minutes. CVS does have an automated calling feature to inform you your refills are due, which is nice. But that doesn't balance out the frustration with this location. So about a week ago, after walking in and seeing 5 people in the drop off line (meaning at the very least 20 minutes), I said enough. I've moved my prescriptions to Walgreens in the northeast corner of the same parking lot, and after two visits, am much happier. The second star is only because of the convenience of having many other products available in the store (albeit at a significantly higher price than Target or Walmart). read more

I really love the convenience of their automatic refill system here, you get a phone call and a text letting you know when your prescription is ready to pick up, which is great for me because I always forget to call it in and then end up waiting a while for it to fill. Which is fine in the sense that the rest of the store is fun to shop around in for cosmetics and knick knacks, but I also always end up buying things I don't need that way. Anyway, the people that run the pharmacy are all very nice. I'm only docking a star because sometimes they are confused about my insurance, and I feel like it's their job to try to understand how my policy works. read more
