This is my favorite location because it is local to home and always fully stocked. They always have what I need and the digital coupons have helped me save over $100 alone this year. CVS was my first retail job as a teenager 23 years ago. I recall customers went crazy for the Extra Bucks they earned each shopping trip. Extra bucks are what keep me returning weekly, who doesn't want something for close to nothing ? They carry a ton of natural hair product lines, accessories, cosmetics and personal care items. The weekly deals are awesome if you can stack your coupons. They carry NYX cosmetics and plenty of household and snack items. I do believe this location deserves a modern renovation, but the staff are so pleasant. The photo departments is excellent as well. read more

customer service is a long lost art these days. I had an encounter with Melvina working the front. She was rude, disconnected and out right dismissive of the issue with a coupon told me she couldn't keep helping me! I asked for a manager who she then identified herself as (A lie I confirmed after speaking with the corporate office)she shooshed me to the side , I attempted myself and was able to resolve my issue on the self check out console. The exact act she should've attempted if she had 1 shred of witt, common sense and customer service & resolution skills. She was a total waste of space the self checkout console replaced what the human should've done. The pharmacy staff here is ridiculously rude. They never answer the phone, and if they do you will be placed on hold until they close or simply hung up on. You will be on hold for hours for a simple question. When you go in person, they shuffle you through as if you're bothering them. The front staff is absolutely lovely and completely different from the pharmacy staff. Helpful and courteous they always greet and assist everyone with the same great attitude. read more

I went in to get a flu shot and it was a little bit confusing because you could go to either the minute clinic or the pharmacy. The minute clinic employee told me there was a wait time of over an hour, but she suggested I visit the pharmacy to see if they could give me one faster. I went over to the pharmacy and I only had to wait 5 minutes. They were very professional and it was free for me. read more

The pharmacy staff here is amazing!! And care about there customers!! They have great sales and have amazing coupons deals and sales. They store is always clean and they make you feel like family. The pharmacy staff don't pay much attention to the drive thru window. You could be waiting for a bit before someone comes to assist you. **UPDATED REVIEW** I had to alter my rating from three stars to ONE. This CVS *pharmacy* could benefit from some serious customer service training. Most times, their staff won't acknowledge customers when they approach the counter waiting to be served, even to say someone will be right with you. (As I write, I've been waiting in line for 7 minutes and haven't even gotten so much as a smile or nod. And it's Christmas Eve.) They'll keep the drive-thru customers waiting for minutes on end. I don't know if the issue is under-staffing or just plain rudeness, but I need to find a new pharmacy for 2020. (Just so we're clear on this particular experience: No apologies offered for the unnecessarily long wait, and a less than friendly attitude from the associate who rang me up. The pharmacist couldn't even be bothered to look up and even say hello. And he's just always that rude.) And note that this is a *pharmacy* review, the retail associates are pleasant and helpful. The manager told me that they have gotten rid of most of their ethnic hair and skin care products including Shea Moisture. This CVS seems really typical as far as CVS stores go so I'm going to focus my review on the Minute Clinic. Minute Clinic is the best thing in the world. Have you ever sat in an Urgent Care for hours, because while you feel like death and you basically already KNOW it's a cold/ the flu/ allergies/ strep throat or whatever, you desperately need the antibiotics or a note to excuse an absence from school or work? Then you need MINUTE CLINIC. This particular location closes for an hour from lunch, and not always the same hour either (sometimes it's 11:30-12:30, sometimes 12:45-1:45, you get the idea) which is the only thing keeping it from getting 5 stars from me. The wait, even if you just show up, is rarely more than an hour, and usually more like 15 minutes. One thing I particularly love is the electronic sign-in, which means if you do sign in and see that there are 3-4 people in front of you, you can leave and just come back later rather than sitting there for an hour. When you're truly ill, an hour home in bed is better than an hour in a hard plastic chair with other sick people hacking their germs onto you any day. Maybe all Minute Clinics work this way but I just feel like the nurses at this location go out of their way to be helpful. They are always kind to my kids, and once even sent me home with a free thermometer when my son was running a fever (under strict instructions that if it got higher any higher that I was to take him to the ER). I love that you can get a prescription and then fill it right at the back of the store, much easier than going to the pediatrician's and then having to make a separate stop. Once I even forgot to ask for a doctor's note during our visit and when I stopped in the next day to see if they could give one, she not only remembered and wrote the note no problem, but asked how he was doing etc. That's A+ customer service to me! The only star I'm taking off is because sometimes the store seems to have issues filing our health insurance. I realise Tricare (military insurance) isn't the most common, and that not as many people in Raleigh carry it versus say, Fayetteville, but you would think filing for one company wouldn't be any harder or easier than another. It makes me wonder if they mess up on other insurance policies also. It's not difficult to get a bill straightened out with the company, but I do feel like the store should just file it properly in the first place, so one star off for that. read more

This pharmacy is the worst. when every other pharmacy is able to get a medication, they claim it is unable from the source. I prepaid for my prescription today and they made me repay. Both my cvs account and credit card showed that I had paid, but I had to pay a second time to get my medicine. read more

They do covid tests in the drive-thru which take people about 15 minutes each and everyone in the drive-thru has to wait. It doesn't help that they have a concrete median so I was literally an hour and a half late to work because I would have taken the bottom off my car if I tried to get out. I just needed an rx. Get parking spots or something for covid tests. read more

After an insurance change last year I have to use CVS for Rx's. The pharmacy in this store for some reason doesn't seem to be very organized. There has been multiple times when I have gone to pick up a prescription well after the time I was told it would be ready and my prescription still hasn't been filled yet. There are also times where I have requested to get the name-brand medication instead of the generic for certain prescriptions and when I go to pick it up they have given me the generic. One time they even gave me the wrong dosage strength of a medication! I want to like this store as it is the most convenient CVS for me but I have decided to go out of my way to another location to avoid having to deal with things like that. Hopefully they can get it figured out at some point.... read more

This pharmacy is the WORST. I have been going there for years and after about the 10th time I am done with them. They are SO slow even in non peak times and they don't care that you are there. There was 5 employees there tonight and only 1 approached me to help me with a question and even then she took her time to acknowledge that I was there. I was in touching distance and she didn't care. It all starts with the pharmacist and they aren't any better especially when he was told to come help. They never have meds on time and could use some customer service skills. They always have long lines and only 1 cashier. This is for drive-up and inside. I will be going to another CVS! read more

Even one star is too much. We walked in knowing my husband probably had pneumonia, which is what I told the nurse on staff. instead of her telling us they don't treat pneumonia and to go to a clinic that did, she charged us the highest rate, $89, then said " I don't know what you have, but it's probably pneumonia. Go to another clinic." We, like many, live paycheck to paycheck and did not have the funds for her to say she couldn't help us at all. She couldn't even diagnose him with confidence. What a waste of hard earned money for absolutely nothing. Minute clinic is suited for students who need a wellness check, not actual sick people. Lesson learned. read more

Went to this CVS at one point early 2019, and left a rave review for this location based on how well I was treated during the minute clinic visit I had and the way that the rest of the staff treated me. So, I thought it'd be a good place to bring someone I love to that minute clinic and get his ears checked out as he had been complaining around Oct 2019. We went in, and from the start this older woman who was meant to be taking care of my loved one, was a royal bitch (he has limited English and I was there to help explain what was going on, and I was friendly because I believed the Oct experience would be like the experience I had had earlier in 2019). She barely looked in his ears and then with absolutely unnecessary levels of attitude (any level is unnecessary, you are to be a professional and you're dealing with someone who's uncomfortable.) She goes on to say "there's nothing in there" while essentially making us feel like we had somehow wasted her precious time? She was completely unhelpful. So, I asked how much we would have to pay to discuss another issue he had been having...instead of explaining that she would have to reschedule us, like a rational person, she snapped at me! Actually snapped at me, "WELL I CANT TELL YOU ANYTHING ELSE BECAUSE WE ARE IN HERE FOR THIS ISSUE." I was shocked at her lack of professionalism, especially as myself and my loved one had been nothing but friendly with her. I'm probably going to go back and figure out what her name is so that a formal complaint can be filed. I honestly felt that she was discriminatory (he has a strong accent and is clearly not from America) in the treatment of my loved one, because I noticed how she treated everyone else compared to her treatment of my loved one. I tried to let it go and that's why I'm only posting this review now, but this many months later it is still really bothering me the way she treated not just me, but also my loved one, who needed help. So here we are. If you have to go to the minute clinic, choose a different location. read more

I have never written a review before, however after my experience at CVS on Glenwood Ave this afternoon i felt i should. I feel that employees should treat customers with the utmost respect. No matter what type of business you are, the customer always comes first. I was standing in line watching the employee at the cash register ringing out the two females standing in front of me. This employee was not only ignoring the customers, but she was on her CELL PHONE! After the purchase was made she threw the receipt at the customer. Their facial expressions were in awe from her actions. I walked up and placed my items on the counter, still on the phone and talking extremely loud, she proceeded to ring up my items. Completely ignoring me and continuing to talk on her cell phone she finished and gave me my receipt. I am completely appalled that a manager would allow their employees to not only treat customers like that, but to talk on their cell phone in the front of the store. This service was absolutely DISGRACEFUL! read more

This CVS has a drive through or walk-in option for prescriptions and both provide prompt service. The reason I made a point to make a review is that every time I come to his location the pharmacy staff is very friendly and respectful. MINUTE CLINIC: They need to change their hours of operation. I am not sure why they say they are open until 5.30pm on Saturdays because if you show up 10-15 minutes before 5:30pm, the unhelpful person will look up from her IPhone only long enough to tell you that she has to leave at 5.30pm and can't help me. No one else there. Nothing but her IPhone and her lack of professionalism to keep her company. Isn't the point of minute clinic quick visits? I think what irked me more than her telling me that she was closing was her attitude. Like - "why are you even suggesting that I see you right now"? That's right, Ms. NP. Why bother. Go back to your IPhone. I will seek adequate and friendly medical care somewhere else. read more
