I've picked up 3 prescriptions in the past 3 months and they have screwed up Every. Single. Time. 1st time - only filled 1 of the 2 prescriptions. The one they didn't fill? The painkiller my husband was supposed to take immediately after having a tooth extracted. Then they claimed they couldn't find the prescription so I had to call the dentist and get it resubmitted (I know for certain they had both). It took 5 hours to get the second one filled. I handed them our insurance card and they didn't apply insurance so that was a whole other deal that took 15" to pickup. Now I'm here for a prescription that I forgot to pickup 2 weeks ago. I got an automated call reminding me to pickup so here I am over an hour later still waiting on it. They can't find it, had to make a new one. Said will be 15", 45" later I'm still here. Handed insurance card when I attempted to pickup. Still didn't apply it so again they didn't apply. multiple lines and a 15" checkout process. 10/10 do NOT recommend. The prices are higher, the service stinks. Avoid at all costs. If I don't live above it I would never go back. read more

Don't go here for vaccinations. I showed up 5 minutes early for an appointment, was told to wait 15-20 minutes, which I've never had to do before at any other CVS location for past 4 shots. After waiting 20 minutes, of course, no one came to see me. read more

When I asked about a bathroom for my daughter, one associate was unfortunately very rude and unhelpful. However, I later spoke with a very kind and helpful gentleman, who I believe was the manager. He went out of his way to assist us, and I truly appreciated his professionalism and kindness. I don't pick up my prescriptions here; this review is about the retail part of the store. Ease of in store shopping experience: 4.5 stars: I only have one small observation about the store layout. For the most part I find the store layout to be very orderly and organized. There are two sections far apart in the store for travel sized items I'm not sure why. Ease of check out experience: 4.5 stars: I like how if I have a big transaction and would prefer not to ring up myself in self-check out there's always an attendant around ready to help. All CVS stores are supposed to be like this and it's just a positive remark I would like to leave this specific store. Ease of using coupons at this store: 3 stars: it really depends on who you get at the register. Some are very patient and you can tell they try to work with you. When a coupon that you expect to come off doesn't, some I have experienced are just looking to argue with you about why you are incorrect. read more

Came here to pick up meds and met the nicest CVS employee Grace that I have ever met. She was friendly and cheerful and had excellent people skills. Minus 10 stars Rude, rude, and rude. The 2 pharmacists are the worst when it comes to customer service. They treat you like an animal, and clearly deeply hate what they do there. I wonder, why someone with good sense would put 2 individuals who hate dealing with human beings to be the face of the pharmacy? Well, I won't know as I am moving my prescription to another pharmacy so I don't have the displeasure to see these 2 faces. I dread going into any CVS. The stores are usually disgusting. And this one was no exception. The minute I walked in, I could smell sewage. I was forced to go inside because my 3yr old had to go to the restroom. Both restrooms had out of order signs on them, i then had to speak with staff who let me into one, it was disgusting, no paper towels, no soap, pee all over the floor, I felt bad for my daughter but also the staff who have to work here. I also wonder whether staff are being hygienic with patients medications if they have no soap in the restroom. read more

My wife and I needed passport photos. We went to CVS on a Sunday afternoon and were greeted by a young store employee who immediately took care of us. She new what she was doing; told us what we could and couldn't do with respect to the photos - show you ears; no glasses, don't smile ... etc. The store manager came over and showed the other employee a shortcut to print the photos rather than have us wait for their system to print the orders sequentially. We were in and out in 15 minutes. Shame not ever store is as customer oriented. read more

I have been using this pharmacy for my prescriptions for the past three years. More often than not, interactions with the pharmacy employees have been awkward at best. One particular woman with glasses and dark hair has been strangely argumentative on more than one occasion. The first time, she was adamant that an individual who holds medical insurance may not use a Good Rx card (wrong). She didn't back down even when I explained that my spouse uses his all the time at other pharmacies. Today, she spoke rudely to me when I didn't immediately follow her instruction to remove my credit card from the machine when it showed the words DO NOT REMOVE CARD. She obviously lacks the communication skills to politely explain a simple transactional option (in this case, using a card already on file). Additionally, the store has had an awful sewer smell for months now, and isn't kept as nicely as other CVS locations. I'm planning to switch my prescriptions to another Reston location. read more

We were just in Reston Town Center and discovered this CVS when we were sitting in the park right across the street. Both of us were surprised and glad to see it as we were thinking that we would have to stop in on our way home at the nearest CVS to where we live as we needed a few things from there. From across the street, it looked like it hadn't even opened yet. However, when we got there, we realized that we were wrong. This CVS is larger than many plus it has lots of windows which gives it a nice feel compared to the CVS stores that are generally drab and dreary. As it is new, it was very clean and had that new building smell. While browsing, we realized that some items needed to be restocked. So, I guess that this is proving to be a popular place. During our browsing, an employee approached us and asked if we needed help finding anything---now that's something that happens like never in other CVS stores! The cashier was friendly and did his job very well. So kudos to store management for providing good employee training! Overall, it's good to see this addition to Reston Town Center! I hope that as this store ages that they keep it nice looking. If so, then I will be really impressed! read more

If I could I would give this pharmacy a negative one I would. They have an insufficient number of people working for them and those who are working there are rude, unprofessional and incompetent. I tried to call, was put on hold for 39 minutes and then disconnected. I have tried to call recently and they simply disconnected after putting you on hold. I had one of the worst experiences at CVCS. I was scanning my items one of the workers told me don't forget to put ur items in the bag and there are cameras. $29 BP monitor at CVS web site was $57 at the store. I went CVS store knowing I would pay a bit more, but I just stuck to Amazon Prime One Day for $26. I asked customer service/cashier if they match their own web prices, but just got a shrug; take it or leave it. I just won't bother next time. read more

Just wanted to thank Nirmala one of the employees at CVS today. She was an older, Asian woman. She went out of her way to find me a face mask. Looked several places and was really trying to help. She finally found me one. This is rare these days. Usually I don't even bother asking for help in stores because everyone acts like a clueless Zombie. Very slow, very unorganized pharmacy. I went to get medicine for my pregnant wife and they told me they were out of the medicine. I then asked them to check near by pharmacies and they told me all cvs pharmacies were out. I told them they were mistaken and I don't believe them. They checked again for me after I instead and the pharmacy in Herndon had the medicine. Then on the refill they said they called the doctor and the doctor had declined the refill it. They said since it was already declined they won't call the doctor. I called the doctor and they said she still needs the medicine and would not have declined it. The doctors called the script in again. read more

i have used cvs for years, namely the one in plaza america. plaza america cvs tries their best, but they are always SO busy and seem to be understaffed, resulting in long lines, no one answering the phone, and delays getting prescriptions filled on time. i switched to town center cvs a few months ago, and i'm very pleased with the service. helpful and friendly staff, prompt service, and not nearly as much traffic as plaza america (especially important to me during a pandemic.) keep up the great work! if cvs corp reads this, you need more staff at plaza america! your poor employees are ridiculously swamped! no one should have to work like that, and your customers will thank you. read more

Super convenient if you live in or around the Town Center. Decent selection of grocery items that make a run to the store for non perishables or milk unnecessary and good deals on cereals now and then. I would say the one negative is the lines to check out can get a bit long before they finally call out to another cashier. Would like to see a more proactive approach to that. read more

Since i work in the town center this cvs has made it more convenient for me if i need a prescription or feel in the mood for a midday snack. The customer service is pretty good here and they always greet you as you walk through the door. Whenever the lines seem to get a little long they will make sure to open up extra cashiers to lessen the wait time to check out. Over all i give this a 4 compared to many other pharmacies. read more

Dirty, smells bad, dogs in store, no toilet paper in bathroom.

Problematic. I've had my Rx here for several months, and each month I'm never really sure if it's going to be there. This is the closest pharmacy to my house, so I'd like to keep my Rx here for the convenience factor, but there seems to be a lot of confusion and disorganization here. I tried multiple times to enroll in their text system, and now the app, but there seems to be some glitch every time. Even when I talk to a live person either on the phone or face-to-face, there's always some exception or some excuse why my Rx isn't refilled or available when they say it will be. Last week, I used the app to request my refill, and I received a message that it would be available that Wednesday. On Wednesday, I received a call from the pharmacy saying they couldn't refill it until Saturday. I never received my text alert that it was ready on Saturday, even though I'm enrolled in the system and it has worked before, so today (Monday) I called to ask if it was ready, and the person I spoke with asked if I was completely out, instead of just saying it would be ready. I also got interrupted twice in that phone call before I could even explain what was going on to see if there's something I need to do differently. Please get it together, CVS. read more

The pharmacist said this CVS was out of my medication, but he said he called and found another CVS which had it in stock. However, when I got to That CVS, which was way out of my way, it was not in stock and the pharmacist there said no other pharmacist had called about this medication. I then went to Rite Aid in Sterling, which had the medication in stock and their service was much better (i.e., friendlier and more efficient). read more
