This location is just OK. The staff are friendly enough and this isn't really a reflection on the pharmacy that I come here for than the actual store itself. It looks extremely run down every time I'm in, the side doors across from Starbucks are always blocked off now so you have to walk all the way around to the front corner entrance (if I didn't currently have a bum wheel it probably wouldn't matter as much but it's not as handicap accessible as it could be from the parking lot, just saying). Nothing about the location is particularly convenient. It's also right in the heart of Grand Ave, so you'd think it'd be run with a little more pride, but it's just not. It's a shame, I won't stop coming as this is the closest CVS to me, but I think the store needs some love! read more

Given the convenient location, I have been willing to put up with the often rude and uninformed pharmacy staff, being out of stock on common medications, and problems with my insurance information not being properly entered in the computer system. No more. I've lost trust in this location given two negative experiences within two weeks. Had my prescriptions transferred to another CVS location where staff was quick, accurate, friendly and helpful. Really highlighted the problems at the Grand Avenue location. read more

cvs is my SPOT and has been for a while since it's next to the Starbucks, me and my friends have always had the after school routine of Starbucks and snacks from CVS, but as of recently its been trifled by the new security guard. He makes me and my friends incredibly uncomfortable. One certain scenario that stood out was when me and my friend were checking out the cosmetic line by drew Barrymore and as usual the security guard was near us, my friend made a joke about having cried over not being personal friends with drew Barrymore (she is a big fan) and then out of nowhere the guard blurted out "last night my sister-in-law tried to kill herself... that's something to cry about." We were left shocked. What do you even say to something like that? There have been multiple other uncomfortable situations he put us in but this was the most upsetting. I'm deeply saddened to say this, but I no longer feel comfortable in this specific CVS location. read more

We are so lucky to have Katie as our pharmacist. She is helpful beyond measure. She always checks in on how we are doing when she sees us. In addition she has continually helped us navigate issues when our medical insurance suddenly decides that they won't cover the meds that our doctor has prescribed. This CVS store is great. It's clean and bright and cheery inside. Seems like it's always well stocked. They have great snacks, some small gifts, and long aisles of all the health products you can imagine. They pharmacy staff are pleasant and prompt. A far more enjoyable experience than the nearby run-down pharmacy store that starts with a W and always seems kind of sad. read more

Very convenient to have this store where it is. Let's be honest, Walgreens is crawling with creepers and their store layour leaves things to be desired. I welcome CVS to the area. They've got a bang up rewards program that gives you discounts on a lot of things they sell there; totally worth signing up for. Maybe one of the coolest things about this location is anunderground heated parking garage. It's free to use for anyone shopping at the Oxford Hill stores (Starbucks, Chicos, CVS, and what used to be Helly Hanson). It's shared with the condo above. Amazing perk in the winter! read more

I've been coming to this pharmacy for the last 6 months and have a lot of prescriptions due to chronic conditions. I am here about once every 1-2 weeks. I have never had an issue, line moves quickly, pharmacists are friendly. The checkout staff have also been great. Never had an issue. read more

I left my amazing pharmacy in Sam's club, Apple valley because I sold my house, and had to change pharmacy. The pharmacist today at CVS Grand ave told me that because my doctor keeps sending the prescription to my old pharmacy, she refuses to fix it. She said it takes too long and she won't do it. Over the many years of picking up prescriptions from this location, I have had a wide variety of experiences. Overall, three stars for now. I haven't had any problems with the pharmacy for a few months, so this is a good sign! The store is well-stocked full of all kinds of stuff we don't need to buy. Most of the time I can resist the temptation. Every once in a while it is super handy to to have all this on location when I need to pick up those ziplock bags. Overall I think the prices seem pretty high, though. I like the location. I also like the parking lot. read more

I've been a regular customer of the Grand Ave. Walgreen's since moving into the neighborhood, in part because it is walking distance to my home. But the Walgreen's experience of late has been disappointing: long lines, slow cashiers and an inability to fill the last two prescriptions called in. Out of curiosity, I gave CVS a try, and I'm glad I did. No lines, fast cashiers and a squared away pharmacy--what a difference! Prices are on par with Walgreen's, and CVS has a useful customer loyalty program as well. Of particular note is the on-site minute clinic. Last week I was seen by a friendly and competent clinician, diagnosed with strep, prescribed medications, and had the prescriptions filled all in under 30 minutes. This CVS came as part of a new development on Grand Ave that displaced a number of older and smaller businesses. I begrudge them at least 1 Star for that. My sister in law also used to work at this location and said the employees weren't treated very well. Aside from that, this is a nice new store, with an especially lovely cosmetics/toiletries section. I've come here a few times when I've been back home as it is a very convenient location. Last summer I needed some camera batteries and my grandma needed a wordplay book and sugar free candy. CVS delivered on all counts and the cashier gave me a discount even though I don't have a CVS card! Nice! Go across the hall and there is a Starbucks. This location is on at least one major bus line. read more

The people who work here are usually friendly. The store is usually well stocked and organized. You can usually find parking in the lot behind the building. Apparently, there is underground parking, but I've never seen it. Maybe I should try looking harder! Anyway, this is a decent drug store and a place I will go to regularly. I had an appointment at CVS on Grand Ave. with one of their pharmacists for a covid booster today, 12/1/21. My son, who is 2 and is on the spectrum, was with me. I was called back by the pharmacist. My son cried for about 5 seconds when we went back to the room and got seated. The pharmacist who is tall, bald and slender, gave me the dirtiest look when my he cried and then gave my 2 year old autistic son, an equally dirty look when he jumped off my lap because he wanted to leave. It took me less than 10 seconds to calm him down but it took the pharmacist less than 2 seconds to make sure I knew how disgusted he was with our presence. As a mom who is trying to navigate this new world of Autism spectrum disorder with my son, I can tell you, It was not what I needed in that moment. Empathy and a little grace would have gone a long way for me today. I actually told the pharmacist my son was on the spectrum (not that it was any of his business) hoping he would ease up a bit but he actually continued to contort his face. I am a registered nurse and I could never imagine treating a patient or another human in this way--especially a toddler, who is 2. This pharmacist should remember that a bit of kindness and grace goes a long way. I really do hope he sees this. Do better. read more

Here is a little photo information that is VERY important, and is not posted anywhere. This CVS will shred all your photos if you do not pick them up within 30 days of the original time they called. They can not retrieve any of your negatives after 90 days. (mind you the 90 days includes the month and a half it took for my order to be filled and delivered back to CVS on Grand Ave) My photos are gone forever. Yes, maybe I should have picked them up immediately, but it's cold to shred someone's memories without at least telling them that's your policy. read more

The store itself is well organized and has many of the supplies you'd want to pick up from CVS, but the service at the pharmacy counter is a joke. They seem to be unable to contact you when they're unable to process a refill- leaving you to show up to no prescription- and depending on who you speak to on the phone, they can be incredibly rude. If my insurance didn't require me to refill at CVS, I'd immediately switch to the local Walgreens... the service couldn't possibly be worse. read more

Pharmacy has never been a real problem but the people that work at this minute clinic are incredibly rude and disrespectful. I had my kids in to get a flu shot a few weeks ago and the woman was really unpleasant. I've been trying to get a flu shot myself at the pharmacy here for a while and they do not provide them, so today I returned to the minute clinic. The door was closed and said they were with a patient, but it was exactly 9 so I thought perhaps they just weren't open yet.After registering and being told (by the computer) that there was a zero minute wait, I waited for 15 minutes until finally knocking on the door. The doctor(?), who was not with a patient, then told me that I "don't knock on the door" and they would be with me when they are ready. Needless to say I didn't wait. read more

The CVS itself was okay, if not a little bit small. The employees were nice and helpful and I was glad this was around when I wanted to buy some febreeze. The parking lot couldn't possibly have been more confusing which is why I give a 3 and not a 4. The entrance needs to be clearer marked. Haley DuFresne,CVS pharmacist would do well in Trump's world. No explanation as to why I receive a call for pick up when no prescription available and no need to apologize or come up with a plan. Daily prescription so why would they try to get the drug, inform a customer they are having trouble getting it, or otherwise act in a professional manner. Seems this is where pharmacists go to die. If you depend on your meds or expect professional service, ANYPLACE is better. I went to this Minute Clinic for a bad ear infection because our company insurance had just ended. Instead of receiving a prescription for ear drops, I was told the infection was so bad I needed to go to urgent care. So I did. And there I was given ear drops and was looked at like I was an idiot for going to urgent care for an ear infection. Basically I was charged $65 for them to do less than nothing. They later would pull the same exact thing on my boyfriend. They don't actually do anything here except charge you $65. read more

Last straw today... I came in just before 6pm and the pharmacy was wrapping up with a customer. When they had finished it was 6:01pm and I was refused service since they were closed (I just wanted to pick up an already filled prescription). Countless times I've come in to drop off an rx and stood waiting for 5+ minutes right in front of a pharmacist without ever getting an acknowledgment nod or a 'I'll be right with you' comment. I don't mind waiting, but being ignored is just obnoxious. I do like their texting service to let you know your prescription is ready for pickup (there's the one star). The only reason I don't go somewhere else is because it's 1.5 blocks from where I work. :-/ read more

I have been going to CVS for a few years and gave them chance after chance to get things right. My prescriptions are consistently not ready, no one ever seems to know what's going on and the service is very slow. There is also a high staff turnover rate. Convience might be the only thing they have going for them. read more

The pharmacy on Grand Avenue in Saint Paul is horrible and staffed with incompetent people. They can't ever figure out my prescriptions. They give me bad information and are rude. I called in prescriptions for my dog who has heart issues and was told they'd be ready to be picked up at the allotted time. My husband stopped to pick them up and was told one of them was not in stock. He was told they would be in tomorrow. I called to inquire why they would tell me it was ready when they didn't even have it in stock and to make sure it will be ready tomorrow. I was told they can't guarantee when the drug would be in stock. The girl on the phone was rude and ended up hanging up on me. I asked if she could contact other locations to inquire if it was in stock and was met with a tone of irritation, like I was bothering her and my request was absurd. I am transferring my prescriptions elsewhere. This is not an isolated incident. I've tried to talk to the pharmacist about my poor customer service and was met with excuses and no apology. Very bad customer service and not worth the stress and hassle. My issue is only with the pharmacy though. read more

Worst minute Clinic worker, got there and hour and a half before it closed and there was only three people to be helped in front of me. The Kiosk said it would be about forty minutes until I would be helped but so I put my name in and waited an hour just to be told by the lady I would not be helped because they were closing. This was thirty minutes before closing time and throughout this entire time, the lady was going as slowly as possible just to not help another person. She was also extremely rude when I asked her why they were closing early and she easily had time to help me. I had to go another day with what turned out to be strep throat just because the lady working there was too lazy to take in another person when they were supposed to be open for another thirty minutes. This is really unacceptable because when it says open until 730 it should be and this was the worst service I have ever gotten in my life. read more
