Consistently bad service at this CVS pharmacy location: Long waits and unmotivated, even rude, staff. And a computerized customer pickup system that is a nuisance and not user-friendly. They obviously do not want to deal with people here. So, after several bad experiences, I switched my prescription to the Publix across the street where the service was quick and friendly and the prescription cost me $8.00 less than at CVS! read more

Called at 8am, left message, immediate call back, walked in, service was excellent, no wait in line, no insurance hassles, nice professional pharmacist gave me a shot, out by 9am! This store is in a very convenient location. However the checkout process is less than satisfactory. The main cashier usually on duty "Kathy" has the rudest demeaning attitude towards customers that I've ever seen anywhere. She gets aggravated at the customers who don't want to use self checkout. Her nasty attitude needs attention. read more

The bathroom is so nasty. It's ridiculous. This is a store where people come and pick up medicine prescriptions. It's like medical interactions are being conducted there as well as well as a shopping experience. The bathroom should not be as dirty as it is especially by it being locked, and you have to notify The staff to open the door to be able to use their facility. Fecal matter and blood are absolutely unacceptable to be found on floor wall and toilet. It just should not be. read more

this was from end of Feb 2023. Poor customer service. employees talk s*** about CVS on this Sunday night shift. No one is there. I look to check out and am told to do self check out. Okay, fine. They continue to gossip loudly. I check out and am overly ambitious trying to put everything in 1 bag. I pay and go to leave, then the bag breaks. No big deal. I just need to re-bag. What a stocking *disaster* . Was in here today 2-2-2021 around noon. You have more holes than a golf course! Go look at the topical pain relief section and the Bandaid section. You are out of *everything*. No extra large bandaids? Some of the bandaid boxes opened? Who's going to buy that? Up front is Miss Loretta all by herself. God love her but I waited for a while she was doing God knows what ignoring me. I had to call her over. That's not right. This place is bad and going down hill. Disappointing! I pay more for CVS Rx's but was okay until I tried to dispose of old Rx's, so they didn't end up end our waterways and dumps. CVS makes $169 BILLION in pharmacy services but won't help recycle. If you want, the customer has to pay $5.00 for a bag for them to dispose!! Walmart and other take for free. The absinthe WORST cvs I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with. I have never experienced a pharmacy that is consistently out of medication. Every single time I try to get my meds there is some issue. Every single month they are out of one of my medications. Half the time they don't even offer to try to get it in for me and the other half they promise they'll have it on a specific day and then get it 5 days later. Spoke with a pharmacist on Wednesday who ASSURED me it would be here on Friday at the latest. I asked her to please just be transparent with me because this is a medicine that I need to take every day. Well, it's Saturday and still no medicine and can't even get a script sent somewhere else because the doctors office is closed. Guess I'll just risk my health all weekend, way to go cvs read more

Doesn't CVS have any rules about dogs in their store?! Thousands if not millions of children are bitten in the face every year because dogs are at their level. So you can't even go into a CVS and turn a corner without worrying about your child being bitten the face! If I ever see this again I will never ever shop in any CVS anywhere in the country. The Ridiculousness needs to stop. If people can't go outside their homes without some animal to comfort them and hold their hand, then maybe they should just stay home. Seems like they use it as a central trainning hub ... which if your on your game you can mess with the newbies ... lol I guess cause its downtown lots of theft but pretty cool to watch the guy hop the counter and chase em down ... btw to all you people that like to lift things thanks cause in the end its us payers that it costs they raise the prices - a store will never loose its the customers ... Anyways the one male cashier ha forgot his name will be getting married this year after being with his lady for almost 5 years woo hooooo take the plunge ... good luck to you both. ***This is a clean and big CVS; their collection of magnets was pretty below average; I am sure you will be able to find better magnets in some of the smaller shops near the water; service was fine*** I am not sure what the parking situation is like here since this CVS is located in Downtown Saint Petersburg; there is a parking structure near here that has a flat rate of $5. read more

This location has noticeably declined in recent years. I went to pick up a prescription today and got stuck behind a woman who could not get a $2 gift card to work, then had to apply for a CVS card, then had to find an email address that she never used to validate something, etc. The clerk did his best but why was only 1 clerk available??? HIRE! The economy could use more employed people. As I was leaving, there were at least 10 people waiting in line to check out at the front registers and guess what. One clerk. HIRE MORE PEOPLE Ah well, the Publix Pharmacy is right across the street. read more

My experience at this particular CVS location was awful! I purchased a product that turned out to be low quality and non effective. I returned to the store several day later to exchange the product for the product. I did not want a credit or to return the item-I simply wanted to swap it out for the same thing. The manager told me that there was nothing he could do for me, unfortunately I did not have the receipt but it was the same exact product I wanted to exchange! Every month for the last 13 months our prescriptions have been incorrect. We do everything humanly possible to prevent errors, yet this place seems to be able to err without provocation! How difficult is it? As a physician myself, I'm utterly confounded as to how they manage to screw up insulin pen boxes. Dosages: It's SIMPLE arithmetic, not brain surgery! While I realize I should've changed pharmacies well before the erroneous thirteenth month in a row, this fine establishment is literally across the street from my home. I just left CVS pharmacy where I went to pick up some cvs Acetaminophen, which was in the bin for app. $9. As I Was leaving the store I noticed my bill was $35. I said to the cashier what was so much much money and she said the acetaminophen was $20. I told her well it was in the wrong bin and I don't want it at that price. I said so refund my money please and I'll get one that's less. She said well I need your drivers license to Return it. I said but it was on a debit card it shouldn't be a problem and I just paid for it a few seconds ago. I don't have my drivers license with me. She said sorry can't make any returns without a drivers license. I told her do you know how ridiculous that is l , I haven't even left the store I went from one register to the next and it was on a debit card that's like cash, and has my picture on it. She said sorry I can't do it without your drivers license. I asked to speak to the store manager, and she said that's me. (No way) I said you're going to make me walk 1 1/2 miles each way to get my drivers license? I Left the bottle and receipt, went to Publix where they value their customers and got what I needed. Walked back to CVS fuming and RETURNED EVERYTHING. Was told corporate just changed the policy of needing a drivers license. WELL CORPORATE NEEDS TO BE MORE CONSIDERATE OF THEIR CUSTOMERS, SOON THAT TREATMENT WILL WARRANT NOT HAVING CUSTOMERS. And if you don't have a drivers license she said a passport would suffice. I want to know how many of you carry your passport with you to go shopping at your local pharmacy. I hope I never have to shop at CVS AGAIN! Staff here are so helpful and friendly at this location the only reason why I won't give it a full five stars is because due to the busy downtown location there are sometimes some very sketchy people in the store. Lots of people laying down on the sidewalk outside the door (don't mean to sound heartless to the homeless I due help out when I can and donate my time and money often however being a young girl alone I'm not comfortable being harassed for my money.) One of my friends and I went here early in the evening and while waiting in line in the store a homeless man collapsed on top of my friend knocking him down! read more

I always use this CVS, however today I used the pharmacy for the first time at this location. They quoted my girlfriend $100 total for her flu medicine and said it would take 30 minutes. An hour and 30 minutes later they finally had her medicine ready and charged her $132. The Pharmacist didn't admit a mistake in the price quote and instead said "Sorry you misheard me, I said $132". My girlfriend and I both heard him say $100 and even had him double check the price once more before confirming everything. read more
