AUTO CENTER REVIEW I ordered tires online to have this Walmart install them. You can pick the install time so i picked the time and all was good. The day everything was ready i headed to the Walmart to get the car worked on. While there, in addition , i asked to get my oil changed as well. They checked me quickly and sent me on my way. I asked roughly how long it would be and they said it takes an hour and I had priority since i had an appointment. Well almost three hours later I got my car and was able to leave. It's frustrating to watch through the window as the employees just stand there and chat with other associates or their friends who come to visit or as they lower and raise cars to waste time. You sort of feel like you're held hostage because well, you are. The service itself (the job they did) was done well, but the time it takes is ridiculously long. There is no emphasis on time management because you can tell they don't care, which is the biggest issue of all. I made my appointment for late in the day so now i know to make it for even later because they have to close at some point. read more

This review is specific to the Auto Center. THE WORST! incompetent staff. Lethargic techs. Filthy environment. I came for tires. I'll never come back. The counterperson has limited communication skills, is unfriendly, and is inefficient. After I was checked in I asked how long to expect to wait. I was told they are NOT ALLOWED to tell customers an expected wait time. Despite this bit of ridiculousness I went to the waiting area. Hard chairs. Some irritating kids movie on a blaringly Lord TV. Dirty floor. But most irritating is a loud, constant, obnoxious him throughout the space. There is no escaping it. To whom it may concern, I'd like to start out by saying that I have been a loyal customer of Walmart's for as far back as I can remember. I have always utilized the great deals Walmart's everywhere have to offer. However, I'm leaving a complaint because my Fiancé & myself were horrified by the treatment we received our past visit to a store that I trusted for my shopping experience. We found out that even our 5 year old son would not be sparred to the monstrous behaviors that the store employees & security manager felt that we needed to experience. They taught us that our son who fell asleep during the nightmare unfolding would not be shown any type of sympathy. I have a video from start to finish of what most people would call stereotyping and prejudice exertions of authority. The security Manager should be fired for the simple fact that if 1 item had not been properly scanned due to us trying to steal 1 out of 3 power tools in my cart did not merit my fiancé & I being made out to be criminals that needed a public trial. They assistant manager in trainin who ironically was the stereotype of a Walmart employees who may have just got out of jail or is on probation for assaulting someone due to being cut short on her smoke break. 1 item that was accidently not scanned caused a red flag in protocol to be flagged. The security manager radioed to the assistant msnsgrt would need to inform us that he will not be coming to us that he has entirely to many securities on his hands at the moment even though we were made to stay after hours due to our improper scanning with our 5 year old who was sleeping in the cart. At this point we should take everything out of the bags and scan them again. We simply asked for the security manager to come help us because the assistant manager did not learn proper hygienal procedures as she did not have gloves or any type of sanitation equipment before diving into our bags. She was already frustrated as i stated earlier about her smoke break being cut short. She began to further make tensions rise as before abandoning her position had started to use foul language accusing me of fighting with her when my fiancé and I were asking for the security manager. We corrected her and informed her that she was being recorded for her foul and unprofessional attitude. She was asked by someone else who actually was trying to help stepped in. He moved our grocery to another register and proceeded to manually scan everything by hand. This was already embarrasing and when close to being done the two gentlemen laughed with us when realizing that our final bill was correct minus the power tool stating that our scanning ability may not be so bad as originally thought. We noticed then that the security manager by this time was amongst the closing employees. However A.P. would not come over to us explaining or compensating us for the embarrassment and horrible treatment by his staff. He showed us that he was truly a little person inside and out due to his inability to even aplogize for his mistakes. We did not steal and we paid for our entire purchase. We spent close to 600 dollars that night which one of the remarks uttered by the assistant manager stating that Walmart did not need our business and my response was that's ok because I need Walmart's business because this child in my cart who is asleep hanging out of the cart needs something the very following morning to eat for breakfast. He wouldn't understand that Walmart doesn't need our business, just his hunger. That really stayed with me because the assistant manager at one point started throwing our food in the cart. How could I as a father explain that to my son. I would of told him that my anger got the better of me and I'm sorry. It wasn't going to happen, He would know that I stood my ground and put my pride away so he could have his cereal the next morning. If I could give a negative stars I would. The greeter at the door was so helpful but once you passed her everyone had an attitude. The goal of this visit was to purchased some prefilled 5gallon water jugs. I was sent all over the store for bottles that did not exist. I spoke with 5 customer service representatives. All of them were clueless and I kindly asked each employee for guidance about the location of the water bottles and it was as if I had just asked them to hang the moon. Unfortunately 2 of the Walmart reps probably didn't even know what the moon is...because they claimed they didn't know where water bottles would be located or if Walmart sold them. This Walmart has a lack of safety precautions for its customers. The employees are required to use a store safe knife and they don't have safety precautions for their ladders. They made me, an elderly woman get on a ladder to retrieve a heavy object and then proceeded to hand me some kids random knife to free it from its plastic. Don't even get me started on the customer service, it sucks. DONT PICK UP DELIVERY!!! it's horrible. read more

So, there is nothing like pulling into Walmart Automotive with a slow leak in a tire with my wife and two year old daughter and being turned away by a kid (mid 20's) only to be told he is shutting down early 5:45 pm. There wasn't a car being worked on other then him and his associates car in the parking lot. He said sorry he couldn't help and sent me on my way. The person at the front did nothing to ensure people were going in with masks. In fact, the woman in front of me didn't have a mask on and rolled right in without any issues. Inside, many people were additionally not wearing masks, and most who were had it at their chins or under their noses. Never going back to this Walmart. I am averaging my stars between the store which under the wal-mart system is competitive only on price and the Auto Center which is competitive in all ways with your typical oil change place. I like the Auto Service Center where the employees are helpful and actually seem to like helping customers. Some times it is a bit understaffed but in this sort of business it is difficult to predict how many customers are going to show up at a time and how much work they want done. I have always found the employees to be friendly no matter how busy they were although it probably helps that I don't show up with an attitude. I don't have much use for the store though. One thing about a Walmart Supercenter store is consistency. You can go in to anyone anywhere anytime day or night and find the store in disarray and not enough checkers. Bottom line is come here for an oil change and tires but for the store itself consider how much you'll put up with for a low price. read more

I'm a strong advocate for convenience and promoting local service, but oh boy, I used the Delivery service for the first time today it was this a terrible experience. Everything that concerned me about online produce delivery was proven to be true. A majority of the produce I ordered has already gone bad (for example have two days before my large bag of Kale expires and it's already wilted). Several wrong items with incorrect flavors, to make it worse the incorrect sizes too. And I understand substitutions will be set in place but this should be better communicated with the consumer. I have a bulk bottle of creamer with a flavor that I happen to dislike the most so I'm not sure what to do with this now. This is terrible because now even more food will go to waste. After today, I don't think I will reconsider using this service. read more

She leered at me and then snatched the receipt out of my hand. Another employee asked me about the skin cancer on my nose. Have they heard of the HIPPA Act? This is the second time I have visited this place for a money transfer and I will not be doing it again! First time my name was not spelled correctly by the clerk but it wasn't checked so I let it slide because I had to fix it and had to come back after waiting in line for 15-20 minutes. I came in again to use the money gram service and I was told to tell my sender they need to call to verify some more so I couldn't pick up the transfer. Again I was annoyed but it was for a leather amount so I contacted my person and they drilled him on how long did he know me, how old was I, when did we meet, what was nearest church by his house... Needless to say he was angry that they asked such personal questions. Verifying is one thing but asking personal stuff that has NOTHING to do with the transfer is illegal and inappropriate!! read more

I had to go to the Walmart super center on 34th Street South in St Petersburg Florida. I am handicap and had a hard time finding parking. I see a handicap spot opening up in front of me, I put on my turn signal and wait for the person to vacate the spot. As the car pulled out another car slipped in front of me and took it. Now to my surprise the car that pulled in the handicap spot didn't have a handicap permit. I went into the store and reported it to a manager. She told me to see the Parking Enforcement Officer ( the guard ). I told the guard and he told me and I quote " They don't listen to me know more than they would me, he told me to call the police. I did but before the police arrived the car and the young man driving it left. It is Walmart's job to make Handicap parking available as per the Americans With Disabilities Act. They need to take this seriously and start doing what they should or maybe something can help them get started. read more

I call this my "secret" WalMart. Statistically, it is usually less slammed than most WalMarts based on my non-scientific observations. Reason # 1 to go to this location, is location. It is out of the way and hidden behind trees - and there are very few massive apartment complexes and/or residential areas directly near the WalMart (compared to the ones on 34th & the one on Park). Thus, there is a bit of a lessening of crowds...Not huge, but enough to make a difference. It was recently upgraded and refitted, so the aisles are wide and clean...but without the draw of the "brand new" WalMarts... All WalMarts are veritable "pits of despair", but on the whole, this one is a tiny bit less horrifying. read more

This store has the absolute worst customer service. They were out of orchid mix last week when I visited so I called first to see if more came in, before I made the trip. The first call rang about 40 times before it just stopped. No one answered. The 2nd call was answered by a person who connected me to the garden department, who was by the way the same person who answered the call! Lady, you didn't think I recognized your voice? She put me on hold while she checked, and never returned. I was on that call 13 minutes. Now, being angry, I called to speak to the store manager. This call so far is 15 minutes. Someone did pick up at minute 12, answering SOME OTHER PERSON's CALL! As I'm writing, I'm on minute 17 and hanging up. This is why Walmart has a poor reputation. I'm a senior citizen, I ask a young man to get me a fish (live fish) he did but, never put a tag on the bag, he tells me some code. I go to the registered, no not the code, I go back to the young man tell him I need more numbers. He writes some number on the bag, I go back to the registered not enough numbers. The store is always gross in one way or another so I just decided to do pick-up. Somehow this was equally as bad. You either wait for 40 minutes in the parking lot after they mark your order complete or "finish" your order 3 minutes before the end of your hour. It's on the way from the airport to St Pete Beach so we went here a few times. It's by the highway, convenient, and clean. It is kind of ghetto by a goodly percentage of its clientele, but it has everything you'll need for a vacation and a decent selection of groceries - though it doesn't negate the need for a trip to a real grocery store. A good place to stop for supplies on the way to Ft De Soto and/or Egmont Key. read more

Nothing about this Walmart stands out in terms of selection of products or customer service except for the fact that they usually have the most register lanes open out of any Walmart I've been to so that's probably one of the main reasons I keep coming back here. Their seasonal aisles are already a mess with the Halloween stuff though, so good luck shopping for that kind of stuff. They also started putting Christmas stuff in the indoor gardening section, so that was a little annoying since I'm still in need of the pots & support stakes that now seemed to have been drastically thinned down to a very tiny selection to make space for a holiday 3 months away still. It's hard to beat their prices, but the hassle of finding stuff when they move it like this still makes for an off putting experience. I also wish their produce selection had more "fresh" stuff & not things that are are wilting or nearing expiration. I've just given up & started getting my salad mixings & fruit at Publix & everything prepackaged & shelf stable at Walmart. read more
