This is only about the pharmacy-…read more I had become ill during the day on New Year's Eve...but just thought I was feeling under the weather-I was wrong, I had an infection. So after suffering all through the night, I finally got medical help at 400 AM on New Year's Day. The only issue was that there are no pharmacies for prescriptions in the Seattle area that are open 24 hours or on a holiday except this location. I called to make sure they were open before my doctor filed the prescription-the person on the phone (later I found he was the pharmacist) wanted to make sure he had the medication before I made the drive out, which was so kind because I was in so much pain. When I got there, it was about 20 miles. There were about 4 cars in the drive-up pharmacy lane, and 1 person in the store waiting in front of me. The pharmacist was by himself, working and taking care of a lot of people on a holiday was unbelievably kind, empathetic, and had a smile on his face for all the people picking up. This is the kind of customer service you expect when you are feeling miserable...

I needed some vaccinations the other day…read more.. I visited Rite-Aid, and it was crazy, with a long wait for a flu vaccination and an appointment requirement for a COVID-19 vaccination. I searched for other pharmacies nearby and dropped into Medical Center Pharmacy, hoping they could accommodate me. In far less time than the wait I was quoted, they had me vaccinated and on my way, along with a quick discussion about why the pharmacy industry is so messed up. I wish they were closer to me; I'd move all my prescriptions to them. Kind, quick, and I don't leave feeling like I'd had my soul sucked out of me like I do at the national chain pharmacies.

First of all, it's impossible to get a hold of this pharmacy. They never answer the phone and it always goes to voicemail. You have to leave your number on the voicemail and wait for a call back. Wait times I came on a Friday right before the lunch rush around 11am and there were 2 people in front of me. I thought the line would move quickly but they only had 1 kiosk open out of 3 and the guy at the kiosk was someone in training. After about half an hour, I finally got to the kiosk. I had 4 prescriptions to pick up and the pharmacy counter looked like a zoo. He couldn't find the meds and was looking one by one in different baskets... it was like a kid on an Easter hunt.
