This is a review of the pharmacy. There is one person tending to all the prescription pickup orders. I've been waiting in line for over 30 minutes. The cashier at the pharmacy may be nice but moves like a snail. What's the point of using the app to prepay if I still have to wait in line to pickup the prescription? Lot of folks are making a run for over the counter cold medicine right now, it is sold out at a lot of stores and pharmacies. I went here to get 28 count Mucinex extra strength. This pharmacy is always out crucial medications and the wait times are awful. The customer service is very poor and my prescriptions are usually messed up or only partially filled. One lady there looks at me like I'm a junkie and keeps staring from my id to my face as if I'm trying to do something wrong and explains what I'm getting is a "controlled substance". This tells you everything you need to know: the last time I visited my doctor, she insisted that I change pharmacies because it took so much hassle, time, and many phone calls between my doctor and me, the pharmacy and my doctor, and the pharmacy and me. I was on a desperate hunt for a space chamber to use for my 7 month old's breathing treatment. Who wouldn't be when your baby is struggling to breathe?! My usual CVS didn't have it in stock so I came here bc they did. When I told the pharmacist, Angel, what I was requesting - she asked me somewhat rudely and reluctantly, "do you need this TODAY?" Umm...yes! Or else I wouldn't be here telling you that I literally called around to every CVS in the area searching for it. Then the pharm tech, Shawn, told me (in a very abrasive & douchey way) that we're basically "at the mercy of the other Target" until they pick up the phone and approve the transfer. Sooo...the momma bear in me decided to take matters into my own hands and called the other pharmacy myself. TELL ME WHY I was able to get through to them before this pharmacy was?! This pharmacy is the worst! I have been coming to the same pharmacy for 4 year with the same doctor writing my prescriptions. Yet everytime I come in the pharmacist acts as if I am an addict trying to pull one over on the system. My dose never increases. I dont jump from doctor to doctor looking for new prescriptions and I go the the same pharmacy everytime!! As far as CVS's go, this one is pretty clean with fairly decent service. It doesn't get the road traffic that other one's in the area get, so it has a more local feel to it. A definite knock on the place is it's lack of product. Other than the cold and cough remedies isle, many of them are sparsely stocked at times and many times I've felt like I just couldn't find what I needed there. The staff at this pharmacy is over the top. It's like a step back in time to where customer service was all about the customer. Shaun in particular has spent time helping me and my family in numerous ways. He has even called to check in regarding prescriptions that don't have more refills to check if we are still needing them. They are compassionate when we've been in to pick up prescriptions and they understand the stress the associated illness can put on an individual and family. I don't know about other CVS. This complaint is not only for this particular location, but for CVS corporate policy in general. I have shopped at CVS for years. Not very often because, honestly, this type of store is a dying breed when you can purchase nearly everything you need at Wal-Mart or Target for cheaper, and I can get my prescriptions filled at my Safeway while I'm shopping. Despite CVS' high prices, I do come here occasionally to get supplements and beauty products. One of the things I had always appreciated about CVS was their 100% guarantee on cosmetics. If you don't like it, you can bring it back. Well, apparently not. Let me preface this by saying that I hate the whole "Extra Buck" reward thing they have. I have only redeemed them a couple of times, and this time I found it such a hassle, that it just ended my relationship with CVS. I bought a beauty item that rewarded me with Extra Bucks. When I used those on my next beauty purchase, that item didn't work out so well, so I went to return it. Here begins the problem. They insist that I get those Extra Bucks back on a store cash card. I told them I don't want the card and don't care about the Extra Bucks, but that I'd like the portion that I paid in cash refunded back to me. No, you must get the Extra Bucks back because "it's like money" they tell me. Then they proceed to tell me that they will have to put the portion that I paid in cash on the card too. Nope. Not okay. Can I just have the cash portion refunded and forget about the rewards? Again, no. So, between a couple of CVS employees (I assume one being a manager) they manage to figure out how to refund my portion in cash and get the Extra Bucks onto a cash card. Fine. Well, I didn't really want that cash card, so stupid me impulsively buys another beauty item to get rid of it. That was last week. Well, that beauty item didn't work out so well either (impulse buy, duh) and so I went to return that. Same hassle all over again about the Extra Bucks and what I paid in cash. Mind you, I ALWAYS have my receipt and product packaging, so it's not like I'm trying to pull one over on them. I have never once returned anything without a receipt. This time this guy (I assume the manager?) has to come help the lady helping me and he takes me to another register. As he is trying unsuccessfully to get the separate amounts refunded (Extra Bucks vs. what I paid in cash) I again make my plea of just getting my money back and forgoing the Extra Bucks. I don't care about the Extra Bucks! I express my frustration over this whole process and he tells me I'm bringing it on myself by returning the item. Excuse me? I'm sorry, this is what the CVS website says about your return policy: "Returns with receipt: Are allowed within 60 days of the purchase and are refunded to the customer in the same tender as (s)he paid for the original purchase with the exception of: Purchases paid for with a check will be refunded for cash; Purchases paid for with a debit card (when PIN number is entered at debit pad terminal) will be refunded for cash CVS/pharmacy Store Brands are 100% guaranteed A full refund of the purchase price for any reason with product and proof of purchase. Cosmetics are 100% guaranteed. Prepaid gift cards and money orders are not generally refundable." Do you see that? "Cosmetics are 100% guaranteed". So, again, I make my plea. Can I just have my cash back and you can keep your Extra Bucks? The guy finally gets the Extra Bucks onto a cash card, gives me back my cash (which is less than $10, this should not be this hard), then proceeds to take back the cash card and tell me that my Extra Care card has been canceled. I looked at him puzzled and he says "Do you make a lot of returns?" and I said, just these two in this past week, but it's probably been a year or more since I returned anything prior to that, and it's been infrequent at best since I hardly shop there any more. At that point I was just happy to have my money back and walked out, vowing to never return. I genuinely thought about calling corporate CVS and complaining about this, but we all know they won't care. The end result is the same either way, my relationship with CVS is over. Not only do they make the return process a nightmare, but then you get treated like you are at fault and they revoke your rewards card. Clearly they don't want my business any more than I want to shop there, so we'll call it a clean break up, shall we? read more

We love this cvs pharm! They go above and beyond to be helpful. If you are a regular, they know your name (which means a lot in this fast-paced digital world). People come in snippy and impatient wanting their drugs NOW, but this crew always keeps their cool...even if you are being a total douche-nozzle (they may even help you find a douche nozzle down one of the aisles in order to make you feel like you are among your own tribe). If you have had a problem with this place, perhaps you should do a little soul searching and stop being such a butt. read more
