Simply put, this CVS Store location on Bernal Ave in Pleasanton CA has one of the WORST level of customer service among the many other CVS Stores alike, as the managerial staff and store associates have zero product knowledge and zero skills in quality customer service. There has got to be better and unfortunately, I have not seen much in any of the CVS stores due to so many reasons,... Workers are great and very helpful! I don't know about the pharmacy, however, the store portion is well organized and clean.

My husband has been going there for years, some pharmacists are helpful and compassionate, BUT there's this particular pharmacist name KAY, that for sure should look for an another job! Every time she is in charge, my husband never gets his medication on time, even though he's fighting cancer. KAY is around 60 years old, beware! She goes out of her way to sabotage his prescription. When his Dr calls in his prescription, KAY says that his insurance won't cover it. In fact the last time that we were in to inquire why the prescription was not filled, the clerk said that the insurance card was deleted, guess what? KAY was there, really KAY? Surprisingly worst service ever from a pharmacy Ive been going to for a long . Walk up to the pharmacy at 12:29 and when I get up there it hits 12:30 and they rip the gates down and say closed for lunch. Sooo I don't shop at CVS but I use their Pharmacy because of the drive thru option and also TJ's is in the same parking lot... convenience. I live in the opposite end of dublin but still come to this pharmacy. Not sure what all the 1-2 star reviews are about but I've never had an issue here. I try not to hit the drive thru during evening hours cuz of course it's going to be busy and a bit of a wait. The few times I have waited wasn't an issue.. scroll on TikTok or IG or make my TJ's list and before I knew it, I was at the window. Service is fast and efficient, staff is friendly. There's been a few times when the drive thru was closed or out of service and I had to go in but even then service was never an issue, and the times I had to wait, it was never long. Staff seems pretty knowledgeable especially applying manufacturer saving cards or good rx deals. Very important info guys... lol. I work in Pharmacy (not retail, inpatient) and know the ins and outs of pharmacy services and can say this is my main spot for those needs. read more

Do not use this, Pharmacy!!!! Everyone inside this location is a complete bitch!! They held my medication for the last two months and kept saying that they're going to reach out to my doctor when they never did!!! Them, holding my medication when the prescription was sent in properly and was sent as it has been the past decade!!!!! They advised my doctor that my prescription amount needed to be only on one month instead of a three month supply!!! When for a fact, I have always gone a three month supply!!! This is super upsetting when I've been needing my medication for anxiety attacks in my PTSD... this feels super illegal for the pharmacist with this whole situation to advise my doctor something that's for a fact, not true!! They never return your phone call either!! This Pharmacy location has done nothing but create more stress and more anxiety for me and I don't have any medication's to help me!!! My appt with the minute clinic for travel vaccination was supposed to be 9:10am... been waiting, then the nurse practitioner came around 9:25am... I was patiently waiting... Then she did a lot of questions regarding my medications, current & the past, my history, where I'm going to travel to... etc... which is ok she did thorough questions before the vaccine... it took about 45-50 mins for all this. Then, she asked me to pick up my oral vaccine at the pharmacy... she said should be ready for pick up. Btw, the nurse at the minute clinic, her name is Andrea Polo. When I got to the pharmacy, the lady who works at the pharmacy said that they don't have the order, and the oral vaccine is not ready for pick up... So I went back to Andrea, and asked, she said she was with the patient, she asked me to wait.... Then I waited for 15mins, then I asked the pharmacy again... this time, the lady at the pharmacy was pretty rude .... she is asian about 30s, long black hair, and kinda heavy set... she was rude for telling me that she didn't have the order & ask me to wait again, without telling me how long to wait... & what she is gonna do with it. Just to let you know, I got my oral vaccine around 10:45am.... so I've been there since 9:10am... & got out CVS around 10:45am, just to get travel vaccination... Unbelieveable! read more

Great location on Santa Rita Road, it was easy to find. It shared a parking lot with Trader Joe's and the parking lot extended to other big stores and restaurants as well. The store was well organized, neat, tidy, and clean. The staff were ready to assist you and were really nice and friendly. This is my go-to store to get pharmacy items since the nearest Walgreens is a bit further away from where I live. read more

Worst experience ever. This review is for the minute clinic. I had an appointment at the clinic for a minor cut, which they advertised treating. Despite this, the provider at CVS MinuteClinic in Pleasanton refused to help or offer any advice. He claimed to have seen my appointment but never contacted or notified me, even though it was over 14 hours since I made the appointment! (I had to drive 40mins to there! He should not refuse to see patients for nonsense reason! This lack of professionalism and empathy is unacceptable. CVS is good for vitamins, toothpaste, that kind of thing. Their everyday prices are really inflated though and their sale prices are more like normal prices at other stores. Not sure if this is cvs nationwide tricks, California wide, or just a few cvs stores like this one. I wanted to print a couple of magnetic pictures. I used a couple of discounted coupons/codes, and the initial process was straight forward. After 1 day or 2, I usually received an email note stating my order is ready to be picked up. Also the same note showed up on the app. The problem is, when you pick the order, 9 out of 10, cvs store/employee claims some errors, can't find the order, run out of magnetic portion, ask me to pay the regular price, or just plain stating the picture station is not working. I've been going to this store since it opened. Before it opened, it was across the street as a Longs and then Payless store, and I was a customer there too. The store is still "OK", nice people and such, but with Covid they have transformed the back of the store into a clinic with a waiting area that is often full of people who are sick, or at least think they are sick. I'm loathe to go inside to the pharmacy counter due to the large number of potentially ill people. The good news is that they have a drive through. The bad news is that the products available at the drive through are limited AND they are doing covid testing in the single lane drive through as well as prescription pickup. I did not realize how much time I was wasting at the store until I looked at the car dashboard and saw that it took me 34 minutes from the time I started the car to the time I was served. There only 4 cars ahead of me when I pulled into the drive through. I only live 3/4 mile from the CVS. I spent 30 minutes in line to pick up 4 pills for which I paid 39 cents. I tried to suggest that they put a warning at the driveway entrance before people were past the point of no return, but the senior Pharmacy person was not interested. She said there were warning signs that covid testing was possible, and that should be enough. If you need to go here, you will get decent service from nice people, but don't expect to be able to run in and out if the pharmacy or the drive through is involved read more

CVS Pharmacy - the speed of the car - Drugstores Near Me - Pleasanton, California

Conveniently located in a small strip mall with an auto parts store across the way. Well organized store with aisles labeled particularly well with many detailed signs at eye height. A good stop for alcohol or that "as seen on TV" gizmo you always wanted but a bit of a line at the register slows things down. The layout of typical chain stores interestingly enough varies greatly from store to store and this is no exception. To be clear, the CVS in your neighborhood will have the toothpaste in a different area than this one does - not uniformly identical as an InNout always is. This creates a problem. The first few times your in a store it leaves you wandering to find what you need. This store solves the issue with the best labeled aisles I've ever seen. They have the typical signs hanging from the ceiling but they also have these small round eye level ones that are much more intuitive and detailed. Interior is well light and not cluttered - felt like carpet with color contrasted walkways make for a comfortable feel... a great 5 star experience until I get to the register. Yup, you guessed it... a line. So this gives opportunity to thumb through the tabloid magazines by the register that is your guilty pleasure or observe your fellow people in line: At the beginning of the line a man with tons and tons of Diet Coke. I'm not sure if hes got a Diet Coke addiction or if it is one of those annoying sales - cheaper by the dozen - must buy 10 to get the great deal.... I saw lots of those BTW. Behind Diet Coke guy another person with two beer cans. You know the really big tall ones. I would be willing to bet we have a certified alcoholic on our hands here. This isn't a social drinker and its early afternoon. If he went with a 24 pack I would wonder if it is all for him or for a group of the guys... Slam dunk alcoholic here. Then an older couple with all sorts of stuff - this was a trip they enjoyed. Then me.... behind me that cute girl I ran into in the hair care aisle. She only interested in cosmetics - and I think shes getting ready for a big night out. Polite check out. Apologized for the wait. I think 3.5 stars would describe this visit best. I'm also wondering if the long long line was a marketing strategy by CVS to make you pull the trigger on that tabloid magazine you are ashamed to buy or all the other impulse items so strategically placed within arms reach. read more

This store had the worst record and I never see any changes for improvement. I ordered 3 large canvas prints on 2/3/20. I picked up 1 on 2/7 and was checking in about the others but was told acouple of times not in yet. Normally I would be notified when they were available for pick up but since no notification came the on the 1st one I knew to call. Yesterday, on 2/18, I finally called Corporate to look into it and they called store direct saying they were there. Checking the tracking I found they were actually delivered to store on 2/10/20. When I picked up I asked for Manager to complain, his name Ben Bancalari. He seemed prepared for me since Corpoate had called. Thought it was funny. I told him that his store was the worst store I've had to deal with. His response was verbatim, "Why do I bother coming back?" I explained my order was through cvs.com and I liked the deals but I hated dealing with his store. He never asked why. He then told me verbatim, "Then dont bother coming back". I was shocked actually and didnt know what to reply so left and then went back to get his name. On my way out I heard him say "Please dont get me fired". This guy is not management material. This is a classic example - you enter CVS and there are no customers. You drop the prescription and are told it will take 15-20 minutes. Mind that there are 3-4 pharmacists and 2-3 other staff members. They still want 15-20 minutes to fulfill your order. You wait for 20 minutes and ask 'what about my prescription' and are told - 'let's see' as if they don't know who you are - the only customer in the shop!!! I have had similar experiences with 5-6 pharmacists still taking over 30 minutes to serve 3 people standing in queue. CVS must upgrade with time or some storm like Amazon will put them out of business one day. read more

This review is for the minute clinic. Those ladies are horrible. I needed a general medical exam. They insisted I needed a form from work. When I called the information hotline the lady explained that there is a form in their system for general medical exam I tried to tell them but they refused to even answer the door. When the manager came up and knocked on the door they insisted they didn't have a form. Somehow they felt uncomfortable because I didn't just believe their answer and followed up with the information line. So they didn't want to see me. I'm a lady in my 50's who wanted answers.
