    Wine

Blown away with the wine selection and prices. One parking spot up front for vehicle charging. While I was there grabbed a few other things. Wine selection is unreal. I'm not sure why they carry so much and then discount it because they have too much or don't want to carry that item anymore. My wine selections at home were dwindling and it was good to restock. 19 Crimes - sometimes has Martha Steward there on the label, Yellowtail, mescatos and watermelon flavors - almost anything you would want for deep, deep discounts. Grabbed some sparkling water spritzer of the 'nice' brand variety. Nice is good. Nice is great. Nice is better than mean. At 2.49 for an 8 pack thats great. One pack was lime flavor and the other was grapefruit flavored - both unsweetened, I'm not sure how they do it. I'm not sure I want to know how they do it. In Germany people drink these kind of spritzers all the time. Usually people don't drink flat, plain water. Got some Scott paper towels. They looked really strong and had a bunch of ripples in the sheets. Looked good for heavy duty cleaning. I love these old junky cars that people neglect - I rescue them and clean them - roll back the age on them and then send them off into the world again once I do what I can with them. My OG tdi ALH - needs some extra scrubbing power. PO was a surfer and a firefighter and don't think he was into cleaning much. I'm trying to get 25 years worth of filth out. These towels for 3.70 will help. Noticed some books. Picked up the one "California's deadliest earthquakes." I was curious if the last one on the Hayward fault was somehow recorded in the book. I would have bought the book for a picture of two. Too bad it was included. The last one was October 21, 1868 and the next one is due. I'm always thinking of this. Sometimes I think I would be better off if I wasn't thinking of this. See, the thing is back in 1860's there were no people living in Hayward at the time - so therefore people don't think its a danger. Today it is so built up and there is even plans of a 7 story behemoth to be built right on top of it. Kitty Korner from the Bistro. Bless the hearts of our Hayward city planners. Lots of Easter kandy stuff. It is sneaking up on us. If you have some little kids around its time to start to think of all that. Checkout was a breeze. Very sweet lady made sure I had enough bags and could carry out all my wine bottles with ease.

The Philippina ladies that work at the registers are very friendly. There is an Indian lafy who is nice, too.

Manager is a great guy, and so are the rest of the staff members there. Photo department will take care of whatever you need.

The pharmacy stall is not customer friendly. We're always waiting in a line. Not enough staff.

I've lived in Pleasanton since 1992, so I've been coming here since I was 14 years old. Today, I had a situation where I pumped about $51 into my truck. I had $50 on one card and just a small amount on my debit, leaving me short by literally one dollar. I gave the lady all the spare change I had in my pocket, but I was still just a bit short. When I asked if she could spot me the difference, she reacted with a loud "OMG" like it was the end of the world. Heaven forbid you help out a long-standing, local customer over a dollar. Most of the staff here have been grumpy and unprofessional over the years, with the exception of the brother-in-law. I wasn't even planning on Yelping them, but that lady was just downright rude. I've heard plenty of other long-time Pleasanton residents say the same thing about her lack of professionalism, and today I experienced it firsthand. Not a good look for a place that's been around for 35 years.

The woman working the counter--late 20s with an aggressive amount of makeup--has a horrific attitude and treats customers like garbage. She doesn't even know me, yet she had the nerve to argue with me and tell me I "don't have friends" after I mentioned I've lived in this community for over 30 years--likely longer than she's been alive. Her "famous" words were "I don't care" and "I know" to every complaint about her behavior. It's pretty pathetic when an employee is in full agreement with being called out for having a nasty attitude. Even a group of 15-year-old boys who came in while I was there showed more maturity and respect than she did. It's a sad state of affairs when a group of teenagers has better social skills than a grown adult with a supposedly developed brain. I can see exactly why this garbage place has the low rating that it does. Save your money and go somewhere where the staff actually knows how to act in public.
