Just one person handling. Long wait. Unkept time. Pharmacist gets rude due to pressure. Very unlike CVS or is it the new way???

The associate here was so nice, she helped me find the 3-4 things I was shopping for which I had no idea where anything was and the list of stuff was from my girlfriend. I showed her the list she gave me and she literally walked me to each isle found the item and put it in my basket for me. This girl was so cool putting so much work in for me. This place is lucky to have such a strong worker in their company cause I was pretty much going to leave and beg my girlfriend to just go to target. read more

They are open 24 hours, so that is very helpful. They are actually the only 24 hour pharmacy in Santee. The pharmacy is pretty quick, depending what time of day you go in, but not over 20 minutes for walk in and wait for prescriptions. The store is clean and kept nice. One time I was in there, and there was a buy one get one free on hersheys bars, which was what we went in there to buy because we were making smores. But they were sold out of the packages that were on sale, so the cashier took the next size up that wasn't on sale, and gave us the buy one get one free on that size. 50 minutes and 3 different lines to wait in to get a flu shot. The minute clinic could not process a gift card (my work gave me a cvs gift card). Then the pharmacist brings out a trivalent vaccine after I asked numerous times for a quadrivalent (then proceeds to reprimand the cashier for not getting it right). No wonder this pharmacy has a sign posted that their license is on probation. I will not be coming back and I suggest you go somewhere else. Ridiculous. read more

CVS Pharmacy - Drugstores Near Me - SANTEE, California

Let me start off by saying the supervisor at this location should not be a supervisor. She was beyond rude. I walked in simply walked up the the cash register she was standing at (on her cell phone) I simply asked her if they sold computer ink she directed me to isle 20 and said if they had the one I needed to ask the young girl at the other register to get it for me. I found the one I needed walked up to the register told the young lady which one it was she turned around to the supervisor and said she needs ink, the supervisor gets all bent out of shape saying I'll need to wait 15 min .... let me point out I was the only one standing in line no one in her line no one in the line behind me nothing. The lady cashing me out was a little confused herself so she said it again she needs ink and the supervisor gets all hostile says okay she's going to need to wait a minute, after she just told me to wait 15 min. She was very rude and I don't think this is the attitude that should come from a supervisor nor should a supervisor talk to her employees like that in front of customers. Nor should she if disrespected a paying customer. read more

Called them for a prescription to be filled at 10 as they told me to call an hour before pick up and then I told them I would be picking up at 1230 as it is 110pm and they told me that it will take another 15 minutes still not ready please tell me why it took over 3 hours to fill a prescription and to argue with me about it nothing really ever goes right at this place only reason I stay is because it's 24 hours one of the worst ever read more

My husband had a prescription sent via doctor in the am. He received a call several hours later stating the medicine was not in the pharmacy but should be in be 5 the following day. My husband spent 25 minutes on hold via phone at 5:30 and finally hung up. He called after 6, was told he was the fifth caller, waited another 25 minutes and was told they "were working on the order" then. We stopped by at 9 pm only to be told it was not ready but "they were working on it"! After over 20 minutes his name was finally called. The prescription was a boxed tube of ointment. What needed to be worked on that took so long? We were very disappointed in the experience. read more

Would give less than zero if I could. The company system to get scripts is horrid. U would ask for a refill on line and the system said it would be ready. Then the next AM I got a query, Do you want whatever refilled. It was one of the 2 I had requested the night before. The auto refill system drive me nuts so I went through the process of having it turned off only that did not work. Most of the time I got message refill ready when I had requested 2. Most of the time there was not even a partial name of the drug on their text. Had multiple automatic refills that I did not request and had no clue till I showed up what was there. Calling to find out was usually a 5- 15 min on hold to find out what they were doing. Also had pharmacist miscalculate how often I needed refills and messed up the directions in the script. Luckily I knew what I was supposed to take from my Dr. I put up with them for 6 months to see if it would get better. Actually got worse so I went through the trouble to transfer all my scripts elsewhere. I no longer shop at CVS for anything. read more

I have been coming to this CVS for over 20 years but basically for my children's prescriptions not mine. I've been lucky to be healthy. Now my kids are finished with college and I needed a prescription filled. The doctor called it in 10 days ago but I wasn't to start it until tomorrow. So today, after work, I go and wait in the pick up line for 20 minutes and then told I need to go to the drop off line. I wait in the drop off line for 10 minutes for them to just verify insurance info. They should have called me during the last 10 days but I don't fuss. It'll be another 20 minutes. I leave to go next door to pick up dinner and put it in the car. Thirty minutes later, I'm back in the pick up line for another 15 minute wait. I finally get to the front but it's not filled yet so I'm told to have a seat and they'll call me when it's ready. I wait and wait. They serve 8 to 10 people and don't call my name. I get back in line and get to the cashier. She says it's not done and she'll go check. She comes back in five and days it never was given to the pharmacist!! I told them I wasn't going to wait any more. I'll go back and get it tomorrow and then never go back again! read more

Do not go here. My prescription is for 30 pills and they only gave me 23! The pharmacy clerk could care less. The store is a dump.

Their pharmacy license is on Probation from Oct. 2014 to Oct. 2017. The staff is rude. Nothing is ready when promised. Time to change.

I have been calling CVS 3 days for a medication refill but they never get it done. A female staff even lied to me that she called my doctor's office but she did not. I ran out of my medication. I told the staff that I wanted to switch to Walgreens then she cancelled my order immediately. It was so horrible that she didn't care about patient's need and didn't follow up the job. This prescription has been done for years in CVS Santee but she cannot handle it. It is so shame that she has the pharmacist title. read more

came in to cvs tonight, trevor helped me and he was so patient and helpful. the system was down on the other end and instead of just telling me it wasn't gonna work, he continued to try. he was not only patient with me, but he was patient and sympathetic with every costumer he dealt with. he was an excellent employer and i just wanted to show my appreciation. read more

If your looking for a pharmacy don't bother using CVS Santee. They never get you out the door any sooner than thirty minutes. Their auto service is ridiculous even when you opt out of auto fill expect those texts for four days straight to pick up prescriptions that you don't need at the time. Insurance is a whole different issue they cant seem to figure out how to get the customers benefits right (what the customer is entitled to from covering insurance). read more

This store stinks! And I mean litteraly! You have to hold your breath entering and exiting this store. It smells like you are walking through sewage. Inside is slightly better but not by much. The employee s are decent minus two brainless rip off artists I have encountered. One would be a manly lady who has overcharged or messed up in one way or another 9 out of 10 times I have encounters her if she would stop with the harassment of the customers she may be able to figure out how to run her cash register. Then there's the little man with the dark hair and mustache.. sure he will go out of his way to get you items from the back of the store but soon as you turn your back he will rip off the sale sign and tell you he never saw it. If I could, I would give this store/pharmacy a negative amount of stars. The store itself is overpriced and poorly organized, and the pharmacy is an entirely different ball park. They call EVERY single morning claiming that they have prescriptions ready to be picked up, and when we make the trip down there they either say that they don't have anything in, or they have the wrong ones. The wait to pick up and pay for the prescriptions is painfully outrageous, and the staff is not friendly AT ALL. If the fact that this pharmacy is on probation for three years doesn't scare you away, I beg of you, PLEASE take your business elsewhere. read more

I am very disappointed with this pharmacy. The pharmacy makes the customers wait a long time to pick up their prescriptions. The pharmacists fill the prescriptions but the pharmacy techs can't find them. The pharmacy techs are on the rude side when you make a comment or ask a question. Pharmacists are always friendly and helpful but the techs need help learning to be nice to people. read more

I attempted to have my prescription filled here today (Saturday, 28 February 2015). The technician, Esteban, couldn't figure out how to input my insurance information correctly. First, he called the insurance company for assistance and had to keep running over to ask the very overtasked pharmacist for help. Then, he began calling the insurance companies of other customers who had dropped off their scripts earlier, for their assistance inputting information into the CVS pharmacy system. Finally, about an hour after I initially handed him my script, he apologized for the wait. When I asked what the hold up was, he informed me that he was waiting for their pharmacist to give him the NEC for my medicine! At that point, I demanded he return my script so that I could go somewhere competent of doing their job. In the hour I spent standing, and dealing with Influenza A, I should have my much needed medicine in hand! read more

Horrible service. Long lines with rude very rude service. Playing games with my medications. They make it impossible to transfer your prescription once they have it they will make sure they keep it and then won't let you fill it when it's clearly the day my dr signed my prescription saying they need this and that all basically control issues with the head technician. Everytime I am there I wait with about 10 others and takes at least a hour to get and all those people think the same thing. So I finally had it with them which is a bummer because I have been going through cvs forever but not this location and this location will make it so I will never use a cvs pharmacy again. Come on , please on hold for a total of 40 minutes, if I did not hang up and try again, at least I was spoken to by a live person twenty minutes ago when I called back, whoooo, sent me back to this, thanks, I will be transferring all of my and my families needs to more customer service oriented from now on. On Monday, September 23, 2013 CVS pharmacy employee Lina, cashier number 0739686, "assisted" me. I told her I would like to pick up two prescriptions. She stared at the computer screen for a few moments, then she stated Prescription B was not in stock, but Prescription A had been filled. I asked why CVS left me a voicemail message if the prescriptions were not ready. She just stared at me. I told her I was confused, because on Saturday I had been advised Prescription A was not in stock and Prescription B could be filled, but now she was telling me Prescription B was not in stock and Prescription A could be filled. With a blank "I-really-don't-give-a-care" stare, she said, "Well, I don't know; I was just guessing". GUESSING??!!? About somebody's medicine??!!? WOW! She then said I needed to wait 10 minutes for Prescription A to be filled. Remember, CVS had called earlier and advised the prescriptions were ready for pick up. Okay, 10 minutes to wait. I stood right there at the pharmacy counter and waited while Lina helped other customers within a foot from where I stood. I now have several of CVS' customers' names and birthdates, and I know which medications they take, as Lina did not observe any measure of confidentiality with those other customers. Finally, she brought me a bag with a medicine bottle in it, and I completed the purchase transaction. She just stared at me. No apology for my inconvenience, no "Thank you for shopping at CVS", no nothing. Just that cold, indifferent, blank "go-to-hell-Mrs-Customer" stare. Now I am at home, and I notice an advisory message on the prescription bag, stating that since this is a new medication for me, Lina should have directed me to consult with the pharmacist. The pharmacist consultation is mandated in the State of California. The entire experience was a nightmare, not only for the absolute atrocious customer service I received from Lina, (who, by the way, was not wearing a name tag; I obtained her name and cashier number from the receipt), but even more horrifying is the fact that I am very seriously concerned that I may not have received the correct medicine. Needless to say, my husband and I will never use CVS pharmacy again. read more

I had been going to this pharmacy for more than 25 years. I have seen many changes in there personnel that work behind the counters and distribution of the medicine in the passing years. There has only been two employees there that has been the most helpful is the Hispanic young man that comes rarely now, he's an intelligent hard worker, recognizes & greets in a friendly manner people by name. Also, a young man with curly hair & glasses is also very friendly helpful. But there's one young heavy set lady that gets very snipping & rude her name is Sandra. She been very rude to my doctor's office staff too many times that they have complained to the Santee CVS & to myself asking me to change stores. I'm still looking. So temporarily changed my refills for now at Walmart in Santee. The people are nice at Walmart, but it takes up to a week to get my Brand medicine when I'm out of it. I'm still searching for a pharmacy, does anyone have a recommendations of CVS in the El Cajon, La Mesa, San Diego area? I use to get my medicine quickly at Santee CVS but you do have to wait in long lines and when you get to the front and if the medicine is not ready you have to wait a while, then they call your name and you have to get back into the line! I liked it how CVS use to be like many years ago. I have lived here 36 years! Sadly, The small town of Santee is gone, no longer how it use to be years past, those days are forever gone :( read more
