Pharmacy is understaffed severely. It's been an over 30 min wait for my pre scheduled online COVID vaccine. This is ridiculous!

Did a COVID test here and what normally takes five minutes took twenty five!!! It was absolutely ridiculous. Such incredible incompetence.

TERRIBLE service and lack of competent staffing at the CVS Store #10007 Pharmacy at 6045 N Scottsdale Road Scottsdale, AZ 85250. When a pharmacist decides to show up for work, and that seems to be optional at this location, there is never less than a one to two hour long wait to pick up a prescription which has been filled. 10/23/21, the pharmacy was closed "until 2:30 pm due to staffing issues" according to signs around the store. Between 2:30 and 3 pm no one showed up to work, A couple of store employees told the 20 customers waiting in line that someone was going to appear at some time but they had no idea when as the employee was "in route" from somewhere. In line of 4 cars ahead of me to get a Covid-19 test. 40 minutes and now there are only 3 cars ahead of me. Is there anyone working at the drive up window? I've done this same process at another cvs and it took less than 10 minutes. This is ridiculous. There are 4 cars behind me now. At this rate I have another hour and 30 minutes wait. BS read more

McDonald and Scottsdale- closed AGAIN. They are closed more than they are open and staff is unapologetic and rude. Can't wait to move everything to Walgreens. read more

I have called many times and been on hold for 30+ minutes with no answer. Very hard to get ahold of the pharmacy.

Absolute worse. Pharmacy is closed when it supposed to be open. I'm now in a line of 15 people moving very slow.

Very rarely do I ever write a bad review mostly just write good ones when someone shows exceptional service, but this is the worst run place I have ever encountered. I will admit it is partly my fault for allowing it this long. So I use them regularly for around a year to fill some routine prescriptions. To start off my doctor's always send the scripts over ahead of time and EVERYTIME I GET THERE IS WHEN THEY START TO PREPARE IT. Normally this takes roughly 3 hours which is a huge inconvenience which they clearly care nothing about. But recently going back about 10 days ago I had been sick for about 13 days and been back and forth being misdiagnosed. Walking around with a 100 to 104 fever for the 13 days and kept being told its cover (even though 3 negative tests) To be fair has nothing to do with CVS and I realize this, however this day I told the doctor I refuse to continue like this and need some antibiotics or something. So they write me a script for an antibiotic and a steroid. When I get to CVS it's roughly 1:25 PM they tell me they are so busy they might be able to have it ready tomorrow. I said guys I am sorry but that can't be I truly feel so weak and can't go until tomorrow. They said quickest would be 3 or 4 hours. (at this point I was thinking they make the medication which I called a friend who's a doctor and found out they print a label and put the medication in a bottle) Anyway as weak as I was I sat in the parking lot in my car with the heat on 90, heated seat on and a hoody on teeth rattling because I was so cold. Finally got the medication. They clearly could care less about patients which is scary being the field they are in. Fast forward 2 days to my routine script being filled which are pain killers for my two torn rotator cuffs and labrum that I had surgically repaired. Showed up and again it's a shock they will get on it and 4 hours later it's ready. Now they had 4 hours to contact me or prep me for what they were about to do. I get there and this aimless crew of people that are aimless as the pharmacist who always looks perplexed and confused like she would prefer to be anywhere but there, the girl behind the counter said did the pharmacist call you? I said no about what? My head I am saying what could they possibly do now. My insurance company no longer covers this (again I am reasonable not their fault_) and good rx which is a discount company I have can't be applied because our district manager decided this shouldn't be warranted to be part of. a discount. (again I am reasonable but it took you 4 hours to label a bottle and put the pills in the bottle) You again show 0 regard for your customers or for their money. A 20 SECOND PHONE CALL IS TOO MUCH TO ASK FOR? HOW ABOUT YOU SAY MY MISTAKE AND GOING FORWARD IT WILL BE THIS TIME I WILL HANDLE IT YOU HAVE BEEN OUR CUSTOMER FOR AWHILE NOW. But no that would be customer service and this team lacks it and it comes from the top. I am a manager and if my team treated people like this they wouldn't have a job. Now lets fast forward I have been sick since September 25th (again not cvs fault, but adding to my frustrations when I feel like death SURE IS) So finally find out after having a super high fever and being uncomfortable for all this time finally got to the bottom of what was wrong and found out I have valley fever and scarring on my lungs. So my doctor calls in my script and I forgot to tell him pick a new pharmacy because I have been going through a lot. So literally 4 hours and 20 minutes later I get the text message notification at 8:14 pm it's ready to be picked up jump in my car and shoot there because I am literally at the point that I can barely keep my head up. When I get there I am greeted by another award winning personality of the year employee. Walk to the back and they are closed. closed!!!!!!!! Are you kidding me you had 4 hours and change and sent me a text it's ready and you're closed. Am I on a TV SHOW AT THIS POINT IS THIS A JOKE DID I DO SOMETHING TO DESERVE THIS? Anyway I felt it was super necessary to write this review to help prevent anyone from going to this establishment which truly resembles a circus only thing its missing is the cotton candy and animals. Nothing is worse then being really sick then when you're really sick to be tortured to get the medication to be better. read more

I waited in line in my car for an hour and a half for a COVID test - fine, I understand it takes time. However, when I arrived at the drive thru window and they took my information, the pharmacist said "Sorry, our wifi is down and we can't upload a photo of your insurance card, so we can't take you." Apparently their wifi had been down for 3 hours. Perhaps put a sign outside?? To make matters worse, their solution was "Come back in a few hours, wait in line again, and maybe our wifi will be back up then." Are you kidding me? read more

I have had nothng but terrific service at this CVS. The pharmacists are professional and friendly. They have also had excellent follow-up on some prescriptions that were problematic. Very happy with this pharmacy! read more

I've had nothing but great friendly service at this pharmacy! I've gone at different times and was helped by many different employees. I have seen some exchanges that were not to pleasant at times. Customers were not so friendly to the staff. I believe many of the customers that go to any pharmacy are their for medication because they are not well. I know when I'm not well I'm not in the best of moods. I'm sure they do make mistakes at this location as we all do at our jobs in all fairness. But I have had nothing but great service from this location!! read more

I guess they are fine as far as pharmacies go...nothing special...but I just want to say, if you are planning on going to pickup just before closing, be aware, they seem to close the pharmacy 10 minutes before their stated closing time on a regular basis. Given our work and family schedules, the eight o'clock hour is often the only hour we have free to pick up our prescriptions. On at least 3 occasions, maybe 4-5 if I count my husband's experiences, upon arriving between 8:50 and 8:55, they are closed. One time they even closed the roll down screen at 8:50, while I was sitting in the drive up line, while she looked me tight in the eyes...no regard for the fact that they didn't (supposedly) close until 9:00. Once my husband went inside after arriving at around 8:52 to a closed drive up window to complain to the store manager. That manager said he was the 2nd person to complain that night, so they might have even closed earlier than 8:50. Given that 2 of our scripts, absolutely, positively cannot be refilled any less than after 30 days, getting those scripts on exactly the 30th day, as medically needed, takes some effort. Add to that a pharmacy that frequently closes early and having to be at work before they open, means we have had to miss one day of meds on more than one occasion, and with one of my meds and one of my husband's, that can be dangerous. I've had to resort to leaving work early (much to my boss' chagrin) to ensure I get those particular prescriptions exactly when needed, refusing to rely on them actually staying open for their stated hours. read more

Your motto is "bringing our heart to every moment of your health". Start living that. Sheesh. The pharmacy at this location is the absolute worse. There is zero organization. Lets start with the express drive through for your valuable customers. How about setting up designated times to do the covid test through the drive through. Now,it takes 15 minutes per test and if you are behind 2-3 (which would be lucky if it was this few) , you are there for at least 30-45 minutes - and stuck if there is someone behind you. This is all day every day. Get employees that at least act like they are happy employees. Rudeness, condescending remarks have no place is any work place let alone one that promotes health and well being. Finally answer your phone. Pick it up. The lack of communication with the pharmacy should be embarrassing to your occupation - regardless of what your role is. Phone calls go on hold for a minimum of 25 minutes which is totally unacceptable and even more so when you do go into the store and see the pharmacy staff huddled together. I'm done now. Taking my current scripts elsewhere and the one that has been "in progress" for 5 days now to another pharmacy - one that is happy to see their customer, answers calls and values me as their customer. read more

Pharmacy is 50/50.. very efficient, pleasant, and helpful or grumpy,rude,and basically act like are annoyed to have to deal with anyone... With that said the rest of the staff in my experience have all been very helpful, kind and friendly. The store is extremely clean and organized. I prefer CVS over my local Walgreens. Thought I'd give the CVS a try. Came in at 0935 on 9.11.16 with my three children to pick something up. Asked the lady who was working there where I could find a certain item, she told me which aisle. After retrieving that item she yelled at me all the way across the store (she was checking someone out) if I had found my item. She seemed annoyed that my kids were talking loudly (one of them has a medical hearing issue, so it's just the way things go sometime). The gentleman working there was very nice and at least wore a smile. Going back to Walgreens across the street. read more

Do yourself a favor and take your business elsewhere... to any other CVS . This pharmacy is never even open, and when they are they don't answer the phones or fill prescriptions without you actually showing up there and sitting there until they do . My doctor called in my prescription Friday to this cvs location. Without warning, the pharmacy was inexplicably closed Friday , Saturday , and Sunday. Said it was a "staffing issue."I had no way of getting my medication . I would call the number and if would just say "the pharmacy is closed ."After an hour on hold today , I got through to the pharmacist , who complained that he is getting too many calls , but assured me that my prescription would be ready by 6 pm today. So I got to the pharmacy at 545 and it was CLOSED. The store manager was awful and yelled at me. Eventually though he did agree to call over to a different cvs to see if they could physically come pick up my prescriptions . Thank you to the CVS at Scottsdale and Shea for coming through tonight, and for helping out many others in the same predicament . This was terrible and should never happen. read more

I've been using this pharmacy for a few years and every prescription I fill has been increasingly difficult to obtain. The wait times are WEEKS if you don't call or go in yourself to check the status. Hold times are an hour plus and the pharmacist, Emily G., is beyond inconsiderate. She doesn't belong in a role where she deals with anyone in the public. They are literally holding my prescription hostage as I've been attempting to transfer it to another pharmacy for nearly a week. When the new pharmacy finally got through to Emily, she told them she just spoke to me and I no longer wanted to transfer my prescriptions. I had to go in and physically get a copy of my prescriptions and then take it to my new pharmacy to fax them for a transfer. When I confronted Emily about this, she denied everything, told me I should go somewhere else. It's the same story "we're short staffed" but nothing changes. Ever. I asked her what her issue was and why she was being so rude and she just told me she's overworked and sick of this. I said I'd be filing a complaint with corporate and this wouldn't be the end of this. I could go on and on with my list of grievances, but this, today, was the final straw. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PHARMACY AT ALL COSTS. read more

There was a product I was looking for that CVS (all stores) has been out of stock for several months. Nick, Mike and Patty were very helpful. Store Manager, Nick, went above and beyond, made a special order of the same product, but different size, as the larger size is still unavailable. Although it took a long time, it was not due to the people working at CVS, it was product availability. Nick called when the product arrived. They were always very nice and helpful. I had a bad experience with DONNA, the lady working the front -- who apparently already has bad reviews... we went to the register and she was condescending, bossy, and rude the entire check out. I am visiting from California and even Californians aren't this rude! Donna needs an attitude adjustment. Just a heads up to management. read more

The staff here is genuinely knowledgeable and caring. The pharmacist came out to help me select a knee brace that would work best, and then Nick Pappa, and two clerks took me directly to the shelves where the items I need were as I had never been to the store. read more

This review is for management regarding Donna, one the employees who was working the night of 12/17. I came into the store after work to grab a bottle of wine and after making my selection I stood by the register for several minutes as I watched Donna do her closing work right across from me. I was trying to get on my way but after being ignored I decided to ask her if she could ring me up and her response was "can't you see I'm doing something?" Honestly it bothers me when people get on Yelp just to complain; however, if I was her manager I would want to be notified of this incident. I work down the street from this store and I come here all the time. The employees are always friendly and the customer service is great, but my run in with Donna tonight was truly frustrating. I will return to the store because this was a random occurrence with angry employee, but maybe Donna just needs some help with her holiday spirit! read more

Terrible experience with Pharmacy at this location. I went through the drive-thru to drop off an RX, and the woman at the window was rude, dismissive and borderline hostile. She gave me every reason possible why she COULDN'T HELP ME! She asked me very suspiciously if i have EVER even filled an RX at this particular CVS location - and when i didn't have a definitive answer, she became almost hostile. Seriously, with a family of four, am I supposed to remember exactly which specific CVS stores I've used in the past...? After she confirmed that I had not filled an RX at THAT PARTICULAR STORE previously....she said "I don't think we even have it...but i can check IF YOU WANT." She slowly walked to the pharmacist, who I could see from the window, asked him, and then asked about generic/brand name....and I said to go with the lowest copay. Then she started with "If you aren't sure if generic is ok, then YOU will have to check with your insurance, then come inside since I DO NOT deal with insurance at the drive-thru." I was clearly frustrated at this point, but she kept going..."well, I could call your doctor to TOMORROW." When i asked her to call TODAY, she shrugged and said it's unlikely anyone would even answer there....? After this bizarre exchange, I asked her to return the RX, then I drove a mile east to Walgreens and had a totally normal experience...whereas I dropped it off at the drive-thru and picked it up within the hour. read more
