CVS has lost my business for good. I hate it because they are so close and convenient but these two scenarios were the last straw for me. First, my 3 month old was sick and coughing. We have humidifiers already in the house but my wife thought another may be needed. I went to the local CVS at 9:30pm and purchased a Vick's model.....for $80! Something didn't feel right with the price so when I got home and looked, I realized that Amazon, Target, etc. ALL had the same model for $35! I took it back to CVS the next day and was willing to keep it if they matched the price. All the staff member said was " yeah, we always have higher prices". I am sorry folks but we are not talking about a $10 difference here. I returned it and was refunded. (Bought one for $35). Second situation happened last night. After a surgical procedure, my wife went to pick up my RX for Norco. ( very basic pain med). The pharmacy was out. The "pharmacy" was out. My wife had to pack up the kids and fill the RX at Kroger. The grocery store pharmacy gave no problems. These days there are just too many options to have to deal with companies that try and take advantage of people. read more

My wife had several prescriptions filled all at the same time for an upcoming surgery. A couple days after picking up the filled prescriptions she started going through them and noticed the painkiller prescription is 10 pills short. There are only two explanations for this. A - the pharmacist who filled the prescription can't count. B - the pharmacist who filled the prescription pocketed 10 painkillers. Neither is acceptable. Been to CVS Pharmacy all my life of taking prescriptions. Move from the south of Atlanta. loved the CVS Pharmacy on Tara Blvd, near Henry Lee Pkry, great place, great people. So I am use to being waited on from a really good pharmacy. The CVS pharmacy that I am writing about is the CVS Pharmacy on Atlanta Rd. To many times the doctor had called in a prescription after a surgery or procedure and pharmacy never has it ready for you to pick up. Daughter had Surgery and a prescription was called in by the Doctor at the time of the surgery; 3 hours later at the store, I was told to come back in 2 hours, well she was already in need of a pill when we got there. On the road, I re-called and asked to get that sooner and they gave me an hour to come back, mind you, this is from a prescription that was called In from the doctor. That should have been ready for me when I got there some hours later. I also hate when a place doesn't know you name after going there for two years AND every time I go there to pick something up, they make me repeat my old address from two years back? Why? when I know the new address is in there? Now I know I have a very common name but I would think a birthdate should help with identifying a person. When the people that work there are rude an incompetent, you have to look at the manager of the place to figure out were they get this attitude? Another incident happened when I got some teeth pulled a couple of weeks back. Brought the prescription with me to drop off and get filled, I hoped they would let me wait for it. I could hardly talk at the time. The technician said it would be between 1/2 hour to 1 1/2 hours before it's ready, she said nothing else, but that. And why such a spread of time? So I came back in the 1 1/2 time, pulled up to the window expecting it to be just ready for me. But nooooo, had to park the car, go in and the girl hasn't even given to the pharmacist yet, she told me she needed my address before she could fill it? No I don't like games when It comes to my health. They have my address, my birthdate, what else do they need to identify me? A couple minutes xtra on time to look me up would have done wonders, instead of waiting for a customer to come back in and give them an address to fill the script?? No that's just bad, bad customer service. At that time I talked to the pharmacist an toldhim every thing that was going on in the past. He took the prescription said he'd fill it and thirty minutes later I was out of there. That my friends is bad management. That should have been filled right away, now I have gauze all in my mouth, can't hardly talk. This was the last straw, I changed my medications to a new pharmacy and haven't had a problem yet. Bad pharmacy, bad management, if there were a better management system, it would show that to the technician, which in turn would be better customer service, but when a manager doesn't care, why would anyone working under them act any different? read more

Agree that this has to be the absolute worst pharmacy. The only reason I still go here is the insurance requirement, but I will be looking into other options. I literally dread getting a prescription filled as it should be such a simple thing but is a painful process here. They are difficult to get ahold of via phone, have zero urgency (even when you are the only one there), are extremely unprofessional and unorganized (my doctor once had to call in the same prescription several times before they had any record of it) and do not seem knowledgeable in their field as they told me a prescription brand had been discontinued once when a quick google search revealed this was not the case. I strongly recommend finding another option- even if it means driving a little further. read more

Went to the doctor today and left with a legit prescription that I have always gotten filled at this location. The dr accidentally wrote my birthdate on the prescription wrong. This has happened before and it's never been a problem but for some reason tonight it was. I understand the strict laws when it comes to controlled substances but don't stare me down like I'm a criminal trying to pull a fast one when the issue was not my fault. Ya as soon as I presented the prescription the asshole that came to the window just stared at me for a sold 30 awkward seconds as if I was the biggest scum of the earth!! So I ask the guy if he's gonna give it back or call it in, then he's says "ya we will see what the pharmacist has to say about this." Ok buddy go check with the boss so she comes to window and talks to me like I'm an idiot for someone else's mistake! She told me to go back to the dr and have him fill out the prescription properly cause it would be a negligent act to fill my prescription. So like I said before, this has happened before and it's never been a problem. They would always scratch the typo out and then write in the correct DOB so I guess they have been pretty negligent before in the past! Not to say that I agree with negligence but this is what they have done before in the passed and now they stare at me like a convict and talk down to me! Rude as hell. Came in @ 7pm ( the clinic closes @ 730) with difficulty breathing because of my asthma. I had been to two other minute clinics prior that were closed. All I needed was a refill on my inhaler. There was a sign saying they weren't seeing any more patients but I was in a bad way so I waited to see the doctor and pleaded with her to see me. There was one person in front of me and I explained all I needed was an inhaler. The doctor straight up refused to see me and offered no solutions. Take this as you will but I needed help and the doctor was there. It's nice to know she couldn't do the extra 15 minutes of paper work to help someone in need. read more

I decided to visit the Minute Clinic inside of this CVS one afternoon after dealing with severe congestion and an achy ear for a couple of days. Upon arrival, you are asked to put your name into a computer, which is how the nurse on duty keeps up with who needs to be seen. I think I was maybe 5th in line, but I don't think I waited to be seen more than 30 minutes. Once I was called back, the nurse asked me some questions about my symptoms and overall health, then took my blood pressure, temp., etc. Turns out I had a pretty bad sinus infection and an ear infection to go along with it. The nurse called over to the pharmacy to put my prescription in, and he recommended some over the counter stuff to help alleviate some of my symptoms while the antibiotics kicked in. It took a little while for the pharmacy to fill my prescription, but I was very happy about my visit. I would definitely visit this CVS again if the need arises. read more

This is for the pharmacy, I don't expect a lot besides basic politeness from the people who run the register in the front, and I always get that. But the pharmacy, however, has to deal with some complex issues and should be somewhat professional. This however, is just not always the case. The woman last night ARGUED with me and told me my insurance was cancelled. It was not, it's just a new year. You'd think she' know that. One might assume that she is capable of sorting through an idea more complex than "the computer says no." I hope she isn't paid more than minimum wage, because that's the amount of effort she put in her job. read more

Hands down, the worst pharmacy in the area and I've been to them all. No sense of urgency. When they give you a timeframe, just know that they are giving you a time to come back at which point they will actually start your prescription. And be done 20-30 minutes later. Zero follow up if something is missing on the script. They wait till you get there to then tell you that they need to call your doctor for clarification! They flat out LIE about calling you. Hey, rocket scientists, caller ID and voicemails don't lie these days. Stay far far away from this den of ineptitude. If I had the owners address I'd certainly send him a Christmas present this year from my very sick wife!!! It'd be really nice. read more

AVOID AT ALL COST! this is the worst pharmacy i have ever been to!!!!! The pharmacy staff is extremely rude. Dont ask question about your medication because their attitude towards question is unacceptable. Something should really be done about this. If you call in for a prescription you will be on hold for at least 5-10 mins. just for them to answer the phone. When they answer the phone they are rushing you off or speeding you up to get you off the phone. I'm not sure if the staff has changed but within the last year or so the service has been terrible. Unfortunately this is the closest CVS for me to get my prescriptions. read more

RUDE RUDE guy at the customer service window. When the car at the drive thru was done I pulled up to the pharmacy window. The guy never acknowledged me he just kept typing on the computer as I was sitting there waiting. So I took my phone out and starting texting. I looked up several times and he was still typing away so I went back to texting. I look up and he is staring at me with his hand on his hip. I asked so you are just gonna stand there and his response was yes because I was on my phone. I said I wouldn't be on my phone if you acknowledged that I was sitting here. I pulled up and you saw me and you just kept typing away on your computer. You could have said give me a second or I would be right with you. I was very annoyed so YES I started texting on my phone. Then his response was OK with his sarcastic attitude. My prescription was supposed to be ready at 11AM and I arrived at 12:50pm and it still was not ready. He claims the prescription was on hold but he can have it ready in 20 minutes. I said I have the email in my phone when I set this up LAST WEEK. I'm on my lunch I don't have 20 minutes to wait on something that should have been ready. I explained to him the email says pickup is today at 11am and his response is the online system is separate then their system. Then why do you have an online system that doesn't work. I will be calling around to switch my prescription over so I don't have to deal with rude people. read more
