Let me start w/ the only thing "negative" about this place. They need more outdoor seating. Having no indoor seating and ordering from the window outdoors...don't you expect your customers to have a seat and enjoy your delicious ice cream? There, that's it. Ok...that's done. Visiting the Atlanta area recently, it was warm and after dinner I wanted some ice cream. Bruster's was a short drive from where I had dinner...and having absolutely no idea of anything local, I relied on Yelp to lead the way. Ordering was quick and first rate. I promptly received my order: a double scoop of: Black Raspberry Chocolate Chunk & Southern Banana Puddin'. Both out of this world good, but the Southern Banana Puddin' was next level good. Love their ice cream. It's always a bit soft so we buy pints to take home. I love the amount of flavors they have. Haven't tried a flavor I didn't like. Their holiday flavors are amazing. Not sure yet what they have for Christmas but their Thanksgiving specialty flavors were yummy. We went home with all three Pumpkin Cheesecake, Scotchy Pecan and Butter Brickle. We liked them so much we had to go back a few weeks later. Staff is friendly and gave great service. read more

Nice and efficient enough. Ice cream is the star. Only problem with this location is the lot it's in. Doesn't feel safe. High traffic and more than usual 'unsafe' feeling. Didn't realize this location was missing a drive through. Again. Professional, delicious and what you would expect from a Bruster's. Just don't expect a view or a the feel of a small town ice cream hot spot. read more

I took my friends out to this location on two occasions, in April 2020 and March 2021. Both times, the staff have been kind, quick, and courteous. In April, we showed up 20 minutes before close, and the line was reasonably long (as the ice cream is so good)! The employee who served us greeted us with an exhausted but genuine smile and took great care in serving us. Although he had obviously worked a double shift, he found time to reflect our smiles. The entire staff has this demeanor. The location is busy but the staff are in-tune with their tasks and take ice cream seriously. Overall, I will FOREVER visit this location when I'm in the area. I give honest reviews with no sugar-coating, and I'm satisfied with giving this Bruster's a gold medal. This is just one rater's story, but it made me a returning customer. Absolutely amazing service! The manager went above and beyond to explain the menu and allow me to try different flavors. He was very knowledgeable about the menu. He pointed out different flavors that he thought I would like since I was looking for some thing with peanut butter. It was quick service, and the ice cream was delicious! There were a ton of peanut butter crumbles on top and the ice cream was the perfect consistency, not too thick or soft, which I really appreciated. I would definitely be back! I've been a Bruster's customer for 20+ years! I believe that I found my favorite combination while visiting this location - Cotton candy explosion with birthday cake ice cream topped with whipped cream in a waffle cone. Amazing! Bruster's has never disappointed me. I typically get a banana split with all the trimmings. There was a line, however, service was fast and friendly. Great ice cream that tastes fresh and delicious! My daughter and I stopped in last week for an after school treat. I love that they have small kids cups and creative "dirt worms" and other cute options for kids. This is definitely our place to come for a cute treat for her and a homemade waffle cone and ice cream for me! The only negative is there is limited seating, so we had to sit in our car to eat the ice cream. read more

I LOVE BRUSTERS!!!! Oh my goodness, the ice cream is so creamy and plentiful! They give more than enough. The times I've went, the service is great and friendly; I would say to be very forward about any coupons you may have, they can often times forget if you walk off. The atmosphere is just a walk up ice cream stand. On a clear day i guess you could enjoy the ice cream at the provided tables but i rarely see anyone lingering around. read more

Ice cream, ice cream, ice cream. Cups, cones, shakes, sundaes, if there's a way to serve ice cream, then they have a way to serve it to you. Decent selection of about 20 or so flavors. Vanilla and chocolate and cookie dough are part of their core "always available" flavors. And then they have whatever is in season, blackberry or butter pecan or Peach and a dozen others. Drive slow. Kids tend to run around a lot when there is ice cream at stake. Not much of a seating area and nothing under cover in case there is a sudden rain storm. read more

When a hiccup in business happens, it's how you handle it that says it all! Went to pick up a preordered birthday cake. Had already paid and placed it online days ahead of time. Got there to pick it up and there was no record of it. Knowing my 14 year-old would be heart broken, the owner of this location, personally had it made within hours and drove it to my house that night in time for his birthday dinner. Who does that?!? This location is always crowded but the line moves fast and I can always find a place outside to sit and enjoy my ice cream. This location has plenty of parking, it's located in a shopping plaza near other restaurants and shops. They have seating areas in the front and back of this location. If you're an ice cream lover I would definitely suggest trying this place, they have an extensive menu and this is one of my favorite ice cream parlors. This is a stand alone parlor where you can get your ice cream to go. Some locations have a drive thru but this location does not. read more

This location has under trained employees, especially... Ordered me and my children ice cream and he would ask me what I want then while I'm talking start a conversation with his co worker, then look at me like what I want...how rude is that, he's the lil soft guy and his co worker is the light skin chick. I had to place my order over 4 times because the guy at the counter kept suggesting something other than what I wanted. After the first time of politely declining, what else is needed to get my order completed? All of the ingredients were in stock so getting me to order something other than I wanted was very annoying. I had to get loud ( something I never do )just for him to understand I don't want a suggested order, I just want mine. Geesh! We went to Vegas and had Ben and Jerry. It was incompatible with Bruster's ice cream. I am not a big ice cream eater, but their ice cream is legit perfect tasting. My only comment is their employees don't seem to care so much for their costumers. They are never friendly at all. read more

A cool place for a sweet treat! It's a walk up window and their menu is extensive! I went simple with ice cream and Reese's toppings. The ice cream melted super fast but it was still good. They are average priced for an ice cream shop. A single scoop costs as much as a double scoop so just get a double! read more

This was my worst experience I have been in line for exactly 38 mins and the line on other side has two works and the other side has one the second line is literally moving twice as fast and it is extremely noticeable the girl is moving way slower than the other ... they need to do more training and be mindful of the line the 3rd girl could have helped both lines as she only helped one of the two girl at the front. Though I keep myself to pick a small cup with 2 scoops of favorite flavors 2. Recommend- try white turtle which has pecans in it. 3. Price- very very affordable.! So Good! They don't hold back on the toppings. The portions are huge. The line was long but it moved fast. Not sure how they were pumping out all those delicious ice creams so quick. Must be good prep work. Clean and super friendly. If your visiting the area it is certainly worth stepping a little outside the Battery for a more authentic experience. read more

How can you not love Bruster's Ice Cream? Bruster's is consistently good, no matter what flavor or kind of ice cream you choose. Whenever something is crushed up inside the ice cream, that really gets me! Like the pumpkin patch ice cream that I had to stop in for two days in a row..... that graham cracker goodness called me back! I decide what to order and approach the register, front and center. Lady in the back continues cooking. Lady sitting on the counter continues to sit and look at her phone. Doesn't look up at me. Occasionally will look around the store blankly but never at me. Charitably, I assumed she didn't work there, maybe a friend of the cook keeping her company. Maybe the cook would be out to take my order when she's done. After at least a minute or two, the cook comes from the back. The counter lady puts her phone down and stands up. Sweet! Finally I can pay $8 for a very mediocre bacon, egg, and cheese croissant. Now they're both standing in front of me, yet to say a word. I say hello and the counter lady says hi. And that's it for communication. They stand there blankly staring at me. I'm standing there experiencing the absolute oddest interaction I've ever had in a restaurant in front of two people who don't look like they're experiencing much at all. They looked at me but wouldn't say anything. They stood there for probably a solid 2 minutes staring at me. Finally I just turned around and left. If I were the owner and saw this interaction I would fire both of them. What an absolute terrible way to present your business. I will never come back. I will never recommend this place. If someone asks me about it, I'll tell them to actively avoid it. It's overpriced to begin with so you'd expect there to be something to make up for it. What an absolute waste of a great spot in downtown Smyrna.

Ooooooooooooh man, am I an ice cream fan! It's really hard to go wrong with ice cream, and Bruster's really just proves that! They have a very nice selection of premium ice cream flavors, that are served at the perfect temperature (not too hard and icy or too soft and soupy). The selection is similar to that of Baskin-Robbins, but I would say the quality is a step above. The prices are similar as well. I will definitely be stopping here again for another delicious dessert! read more

Have been to Bruster's several times and have never had such bad service. Came at 9:20 to get a shake and apparently you can't get one of those because it's too close to closing at 10:00. If we came 10 minutes before closing then I would get it, but 40 minutes??? LAZY!!! Left without anything and went to Steak n Shake instead. read more

For parking, there's a small lot to one side of the stand-alone building on the other side of a small garage that's used for storage. There's also spaces available across the street (several antique store type retail nearby). Frozen Cow can be found in what appears to be a historic home - you enter via the front entry with tables to the right and the counter in a room to the left. There are menus in holders but you have to look for them - you'll want to review the process while your inline. As with other nitrogen-style dessert places, here they bring down the temperature of sweet cream using liquid nitrogen (which comes out as a cloudy gas that billows out of the bowl) while adding ingredients like fruit and/or chocolate, nuts, etc. to build out your portion. You can then top it with various items and whip creams for a delicious treat. The staff here are all fairly young and probably still in high school - super friendly and surprisingly efficient at taking and making your order. Overall a great experience and a fantastic dessert.
