I was given a prescription for 2 pills 4 times a day and even counting on my fingers I know it's 8...and for 7 days, even a child knows that's 56...but I was given 28 pills...Or half what I was prescribed...I didn't notice until i got home so now have to go back and complain...How does one become a Pharmacist if they can't even do Elementary School Math? Main Pharmacist middle age woman lacks care and is callous when speaking to customers. Other staff are quite nice. Too much red tape and inefficient process to service customers at pick up window. Was given half of my prescription & was never told this at pick up window and went home to find out prescription was incomplete. Came back to pharmacy was told to get in line at order prescription window to figure out the problem after waiting in the p/u window. Pharmacist didn't care about my situation & said that pick up window doesn't have access to detailed information about prescription. Three times I was there and each time, one register open and 10 customers waiting in p/u window line. Very inefficient and main pharmacist doesn't give one hoot about helping customers. Will be going to another pharmacy after a couple of decades of going to CVS. Good riddance. read more

Fix your automatic robot it's so hard to order my meds I did it on Monday but very difficult to order then because you have to jump through hoops to get to the pharmacy very difficult. Do change your AI robot please! read more

No one in the pharmacy knew how to use my worker comp prescription card for the medication. Why be a part of this of a service if you don't train your employees on how to use it. What is wrong with you pharmacists? I'd really like a reply. Brought my friend to the minute clinic. The web said they were open as did the person up front. Went to it and sat for ten minutes after 9am; nothing. My friend, terribly sick, waited in line at the pharmacy ten feet away to ask. Ten minutes later a Pharmacist dismissively said "we don't do that anymore". You couldn't have yelled across while we waited ten feet away. Couldn't have written up a sign?! I completely understand CVS corporate clutziness. They should put up a sign. And I'm guessing you hate being there all day and may hate your job. Scheduled a booster shot for my 15 year old. The online system allowed it as her DOB and date of last vaccine was entered. We showed up and we were told they are not giving boosters to kids yet because corporate had not approved it. Claimed they emailed but no emails. They didn't apologize or take any responsibility and were rude. Clearly on the corporate site it says that CVS is giving boosters to kids under 16 as of 1/4. read more

This was my first time visiting this CVS location this morning for the COVID vaccination booster shot. The pharmacy is at the back of the store and there was no line at the pharmacy windows. The woman at the window checked us in and told us to wait in the Health Hub waiting area. Apparently you can make an appointment and come here for minor health appointments like checking your blood sugar levels, getting vaccinations, getting help for sleep problems, etc. The COVID vaccination is at a door between the pharmacy windows and the Health Hub area. I originally walked past the COVID vaccination door because it was so inconspicuous among all the other signs and objects around the area. A representative from the pharmacy opened the COVID vaccination door after my appointment time and let my parents and me into the room. He gave us the vaccination shots, told us to wait in the store for 30 minutes while he filled out the vaccination cards and then sent us on our way. The store seemed pretty clean from the parts that I walked through but some of the shelves were sparse. I walked around during the required vaccination waiting period to shop for some necessities but the items I wanted weren't there. Oh well. read more

Omg. This was such a good Pharmacy and now twice they made two serious mistakes. Wrong directions on one medication that caused me to be v sick and now they forgot to refrigerate my new med. I have spent days on hold and they absolutely don't answer the phone. I can't use the medication they gave me. The mfg told me to throw out what they gave me. Just up in arms w their lack of professionalism and making grave errors. Not sure how my ins will handle this as the medication is 2400 dollars. Would give 0 stars if possible! read more

I have been trying to give this store my all for 5 years and I finally walked out for good today. Pharmacy is understaffed. Front of store is understaffed. Everything is behind theft guard. Takes me 30 minutes to walk in and get a box of Advil and a prescription. CVS needs to re-think their model. Not all of us want to order online. Not sure how the pharmacy stays in business, it really is a mess. Was on hold for an hour today with an emergent situation. When someone finally picked up asked about a prescription and they said pharmacist was out to lunch and transferred me to a voicemail half way through me asking when the pharmacist would be back. As in, I was literally half way through speaking and heard the phone click as the person working there hung up and I was automatically transferred to a voice mail (for which they never return calls). Come on McFly, I would have left a message an hour earlier at the beginning of waiting on hold if I trusted your voice mail. Also, it is really concerning that the entire store smells like disgusting chemically mildew -- I feel like I'm getting a weird lung disease everytime I walk through the front door. I suspect the building has rot in its walls. I would avoid this pharmacy if possible unless it's an emergency situation. read more

The Pharmacy Student was allowed to give my prescription consultation. She incorrectly told me the number of pills to take, the frequency and to take with food when it was suppose to be without food. I was uncomfortable and asked for the pharmacist who told me the correct information. If I hadn't asked for the real pharmacist I would have overdosed according to the student's instructions. read more

This is the worst rudest pharmacy and pharmacy support. Every order over last 12 orders they have claimed it's ready and it's not, I call to confirm and they say yes the order is ready but it's not. I'm prescribed for a 90 day supply, but they fulfill 30 day, after telling me the 90 day is ready (liars). Rude. The pharmacist Christine is very rude, I told her the quality of their services and accuracy has down hill, she replied with " I don't approve you being rude"/I said I'm being rude because I'm holding you accountable to consistent lies! Insurance. Since 2019, They always bill insurance incorrectly Timeliness. It's a completely inn-accurately delivered, even when I order through the app: either the date of delivery is delayed (after they claim it's there or it's billed inaccurately or the volume is wrong...but each order is always wrong. Entitled. Christine the pharmacist told me I'm rude for complaining and she doesn't appreciate it! (How can this Pharmacist be entitled to treat customers like second class citizens! I'm 65 years old and cannot believe CVS pharmacy execution has gotten so consistently bad and rude over the years.. Go to another pharmacy that values your business. The staff here is extremely rude and do not care about the patients at all. I showed up for a covid test (no where on confirmation does it say that the test is in a parking lot in the back how would I know that?!) it just says minute clinic. So I go in ON TIME to the minute clinic and no one is there to help I wait then I ask the pharmacist what to do and they say to wait so I keep waiting it's been past 10 minutes and then they said to knock. Basically by the time they tell me where to go it's past the grace period and instead of the staff making an exception due to THEIR MISTAKE she wanted to take the same amount of time to walk to the front of the store and show me that there's signs. Could not believe that she needed to prove her point so bad rather than help a patient IN NEED. Completely unacceptable especially during a pandemic 0 stars. Also when I went to the front the signs were tilted and only on one side so if you entered from the other side (which i did) the sign wasn't facing you so you missed it. Over the last year, the customer service medical practice, and systems at this pharmacy have been atrocious. They prescribe the wrong medication. They take many many hours for anything to be filled and at times they will not have the medication but do not call the patient or the doctor to notify them of that no longer be taking any of my business to this pharmacy. This pharmacy is totally inept. Trying to get prescriptions delivered is impossible. They offer same day delivery for $8 but still after 4 days not delivered. Call back each day and they say it's going out each day but still hasn't arrived. Call them to inquire and wait on the line for 30 minutes each time. And trying to use their app is hopeless. Buggy and doesn't allow you to select delivery option. Has to be filled and then you need call to request delivery. Have used this pharmacy for many years but they can't adapt to COVID. As a result moving all prescriptions to Walgreens even though it's much further away. They are a disgrace. Cannot deal with such a poor operation. read more

One of the employees at CVS showed me what patience looks like today. There were many older customers that he assisted them with so much patience. I would have lost my SH$T. Some of the customers took like 7 minutes of his time just to save like $0.17! Another was not "battery" savy and was just a little short with him but he took it in stride while helping. I was printing out pictures (home printer broke) and the printer jammed or something so I just waited for all of these seniors to get their slow/inconsequential demands met. He was fast, professional, helpful, kind, patient and was smiling the whole time. I was impatient too just from waiting but he helped me with the same genuine attitude. Kudos to that man!!! This cvs pharmacy has overtime of 3 years, become worse service and rudeness. The recent customer experience had failed at every touch point. 1. Automation text inaccurate. They send texting that has no accuracy to the actual order. 2. Very Rude phone support at store. The women in the other end of the phone had a tone like she was running a trucking company and I'm in trouble, her tone was very Loud, disrespectful, talking at me in the phone in an aggressive tone and her statements were very inaccurate pertaining to the actual order. 3. Concierge upon pick up very rude and aggressive. Either CVS is hiring the wrong people or there is limited supervision of their employees at the front end, because this tall African American women on Monday at 11:30 am was the rudest, aggressive person I ever encountered and n my life. Obviously, she felt entitled to drill me with questions without ever saying please or thank you. WHOM manages this place is failing big time, because we're moving all our prescriptions to Walgreens. If I could give the pharmacy zero stars I would. Something changed at the pharmacy about 5 months ago and ever since then customer service is non-existent and their incompetence is on display at every turn. If you call to ask a question you are on hold for up to an hour and then often the call just ends. When you get there in person they can't find your medication. I have been ordering the same medication for years - never had a problem until 5 months ago and now it's always a problem. My biggest concern is for others. I am a capable person who can keep pushing/calling/driving over etc. until they come through with my prescription. What about the elderly? Or those who are too sick to have the energy to "work" at getting their medication? For some of us our medication is our LIFELINE that keeps us alive. CVS Solana Beach Pharmacy should be ashamed of themselves. (The rest of the store I enjoy visiting and have alway received quality customer service. However, I will be taking all my business elsewhere.) read more

They have a bathroom available for customers and is very disgusting with pee all over the floor aweful dirty and I asked the front desk staff lady to help me get in the bathroom she was coming out from which had a lock and she didn't. Instead pointed out at me the other bathroom And laughed so hard so hard at me for denying me the bathroom I guess was a cleaner one but the one that wasn't locked had pee and nasty stuff all ove the place. The CVS located in Solana Beach Towne Center was uncarateristic of any other store within the franchise. Upon walking in, all I could see was clutter and bins of items in each isle to be put away and organized. Not what I was expecting at eight in the morning. Able to located what I was looking for quickly, I made my way to the cash check-out. The attendent was conversing with a customer at the register as I waited by the sign which stated where to stand and wait in line. After the customer left, the CVS employee walked out from behind the registers and started opening a box of merchandise. There were at least five employees in sight working on unloading items, yet I was not being served. The employee only assisted me after I made a comment about being in a hurry before work. She rang up my item and did not seem almost annoyed that I was there. Unpleasant expereince! read more

I just watched the (white) manager treat the (black) employee like trash in front of a line of customers, and it made me sick to watch. His condescending tone and raised voice was atrocious. I was truly uncomfortable, so I can't imagine how the employee felt. CVS needs to invest in manager training because that treatment is NOT OKAY. I pick up my prescriptions and random household items maybe once every two months from this location. The store is a little run down when compared to every other pharmacy or grocery store in the area but that doesn't bother me too much. Wait times can be a pain. Especially in the pharmacy department. However, I always noticed that whenever a line builds at the front, the cashier immediately calls for additional support and gets everyone through the checkout fast. And I feel like few people take them up on the coupons on their receipts but you can save a TON of money on your purchases. Last night I bought $30 worth of stuff and used $15 worth of coupons!!
