This review is not for the employees, because they are always gracious, kind & helpful. This review is a "shame-on-you" to corporate for their 'anything goes' policy when it comes to allowing dogs in the store. Tonight I both witnessed & experienced an unsettling encounter with another Patton's dog, and when I spoke with an employee about it they explained that, for this location, corporate had bent to the will of the people on its dog policy. The patrons' dog was an anxious beagle/terrier mix. When someone went to pet it, it aggressively started barking & lunging. Another person was simply standing there & the dog behaved the same. The owner's comment was, "He's just very leery of his territory." The problem is, this is a public place, not the dog's private territory which he's protecting. By time I got in line, the dog was very worked up and pacing. I felt very uncomfortable to even be in line and kept my distance. I shouldn't have to feel uncomfortable going to a pharmacy, to pick up first aide supplies, and at the same time feel fearful of being bit by a dog while I'm standing in line! One of the cleanest CVS' I've ever been to! Stopped in to grab chapstick and was delightful surprised by the layout, cleanliness & even the soft music playing in the background. The woman who rung me up was so cheery, and just the right amount for 7:30am on a Friday! I love a lot of things in this shopping center and now I love THE CVS! read more

An older British man working there refused to check to see if they have a product for me. On the CVS website it shows that the product is available in that store. Manager wouldn't check either. The older man working didn't seem to even know how to check to see (either that or he was extremely lazy). I was the only person in the whole store too, so it's not like they were too busy to check on it. I guess I'll order it on Amazon instead. read more

Today I had a 40% of one item coupon and 6 extra bucks. The computer computed a discount of $2.80 on a $12.99 product which of course is wrong, but had applied the extra bucks first. Carlos, the manager, explained that that is the way they do it....all stores, that they have to make money, blah, blah. However I chose to use the 40% on one item and with $6 extra bucks will buy a $6 item at another time. CVS promotions should always be questioned and used separately. I used to rely on CVS for toiletries, paper products, cleaners etc, but I now plan better and use Costco. Will probably switch pharmacies also. I know I won't be getting the promotional offers but I hate supporting even local businesses if they are duplicitous. read more

This is for the Pharmacy Manager who is very rude over the phone and in person. The manager particularly holds her nose up high in the air because she has the "power" to not inform me (or anyone else for that matter) regarding what manufacturers and medications they currently carry in stock. The pharmacist literally hung up on me as I was trying to understand their point of view. The other local CVS pharmacies kindly inform me over the phone. This is a no brainer! My prescription from my doctor has it hand written with a specific manufacture. It insane how they are the only CVS in the universe who will not tell me what is in stock or what can be ordered in. The manager acts like it's a pile of diamonds with gold toppings that they hold back there! Geese Louise people! I hope they improve. I do not like leaving negative feedback but I just had to for the sake of other people's busy lives. read more

DO NOT GO HERE FOR FLU SHOT. Made appointment online, but when I showed up they said they had to change my flu shot type because they were out of stock (????), gave me another patients paperwork (with address, DOB, etc) and let walk-ins go before me. 25 min after my appointment a pharmacist took my temp and it read over 99 so couldn't get it. Get home 10 min later and my temp is 97.1 (I run low and this is normal and why I knew their thermometer was wrong). I think they used this as some excuse because everything with this appointment was with error. Absolutely inept pharmacy. I'll go to Walgreens. read more

This is the worst pharmacy of all time. The pharmacists are extremely rude and unhelpful. They truly do not give an indication that they care about their patients health or wellbeing whatsoever. They give inaccurate wait times every single time so that you end up waiting up to an hour even after you've received multiple texts that your prescriptions are ready. I have never felt inspired to write a review but they have made it so incredibly difficult to get a prescription that is life threatening for me in the promised timeframe. Very rude pharmacy technicians especially Laura. They rudely told me to wait even I had my appointment for covid vaccine and started yelling at me when I was trying to explain to them that this is my 4th injection & I don't need to wait after the injection. My sister & I just went to Vons pharmacy right next door & had an amazing experience. Very well organized, polite & professional pharmacy staff. I highly recommend to going to Vons pharmacy for your vaccination. read more

I pick up all my mom's meds here and it's nice that they know me by name. And when she comes with me, the manager makes a point of saying hello because he remembers her. Certain ladies at the register have worked there for 20, 30, years or more. They aren't excessively friendly, but they recognize me. It's comforting. Other than that, the store is well maintained, organized, and offers an array of products from booze to vitamins, and is an overall convenient place to shop. Use the coupons and the "extra bucks coupons." You'll find yourself saving quite a bit. read more

The CVS on Lomas Santa Fe does not observe safe Covid practices. They do not have 6 feet between registers and between the registers and the customer. Plus it takes forever to check out. Don't even think about trying to use a coupon. More restrictions than Covid! read more

Despite the signs at the front door stating masks were required to enter, there were plenty of customers not wearing them and no CVS employees enforcing this rule. Most alarming was a man shopping in the cold/flu remedy aisle while actively coughing a big phlegmy cough and not social distancing. At best, he was inconsiderate and at worst, a public health hazard. When we asked him to social distance at the register line, his response was that we should "chill the f__k out". Nice. read more

I love this Cvs so much more than the one on highway 101. If you ever want an excellent Christmas or birthday present you should do the kiosk! The one on highway 101 doesn't it. Do NOT use this pharmacy. The last straw was their refusal to timely provide me with my life -saving heart medication because they "are very understaffed". I had put the refill order in several days before, and when a pick up was attempted today, I had to argue with them for several minutes to get them to change their to instructions from "come back tomorrow" to "come back later." Use them for sundries only... if you value your health... use another pharmacy for prescriptive medicines. read more

Erica was seriously the nicest and sweetest CVS attendant I'VE EVER MET! I went to the oceanside location and I was looking for a dior perfume and Erica told me they didn't have it there! I got super frustrated because of that but she was super thoughtful and understanding and told me about all the perfumes she liked and the ones she knew were good and I absolutely loved the perfume we picked together! After that, she told me about the CarePass CVS has and I got my membership on the same day and I ended up saving so much money with my purchase! I'm really happy with all discounts and amazing offers I'm getting so far! Oh, she also gave me amazing samples for my skin from La Roche and Vichy and now I'm so addicted to them!! If you guys need any help, please look for Erica and you'll have the best customer service you've ever had in a CVS store! She's the best! read more

To the jerky kid behind the counter: Remember when I was at your store today? You yelled "NEXT" at me when it was my turn to check out, briefly stared at me with your cattle-like gaze, then turned away to continue your conversation with your co-worker. You didn't even bother to look back, pause your lame conversation, or offer me a bag for my purchases when the transaction was done. Just thrust my receipt towards me. That was pretty bogus of you. I've always like the layout of this particular drug store though, and this was my first memorably bad experience here. Will probably give them another shot at some point. read more

I just left there and had the greatest experience with a gentleman working the cash register, Alan. I've been pitch the care pass tons of times and it usually just irritates me, but boy did he make it make sense. Also he was just generally cool to talk to. I know I sometimes need some fast products here. But usually the lines are hella long, and they only have 1 or 2 people who are working the entire shift (I know, I've asked). Sometimes they ring up the wrong price on something, and doubt me until I point it out. Will come back just because of quick necessities, but really don't enjoy it. If I could give a negative rating, I would. I've been disabled most of my life and been on medications and dealt with many many pharmacies- this pharmacy is the WORST!!! I'm visiting the area on vacation and needed to refill my pain meds. The doctor had written over top of the date a little bit and they wouldn't accept it . The date was also written on a sticker on the back, but they refused. They said my doctor could send another one electronically, however, they could never "find it". My doctors office kept calling and were on long hold times and when they did get through and tried to figure out what was going on, the pharmacy representative could've cared less. They did nothing to help the process. I hung around there for three hours, they knew I wanted it, I told them I was on vacation and they could've cared less. My doctors office told me to try a different CVS - they said they had never dealt with such horrible and uncaring service. I finally gave up and went to a different CVS and my prescription was filled in 15 minutes. DO NOT go to this CVS, if there's an issue with your prescription they will not help you at all. They are not courteous and have no compassion for their customers. They need a lesson in customer service and need to learn to try to help a customer when there's a problem instead of just brushing them off and being rude to them and to their doctors office who is also trying to solve the problem. Sometimes there are issues and problems with prescriptions, but it's how you work to solve the problems with everyone involved that show your professionalism and customer courtesy. This pharmacy clearly lacks any problem solving and customer communication skills. Take your business elsewhere where it's appreciated. read more

I have used this pharmacy for years & been happy with the service but recently I had a terrible experience. The pharmacy staff did not fill the perscription they had received from the doctor nor did they inform me or the doctor that the perscription needed to be sent to their specialty pharmacy. TWO solid weeks later my doctors & I tracked down the perscription & discovered that the CVS staff had totally ignored it and had done nothing to communicate with us. It just sat on their desk all that time. This was a very important perscription and 2 weeks is inexcusable. read more

The pharmacy staff is rude. They can care less about their patients. They don't offer to help and they make everything "your problem." I recently picked up 5 prescriptions of which was a huge ordeal because they said my insurance only covered a portion and they told me to call my insurance. I sat on the phone for an hour at the pharmacy while my sick 5 year old coughed and not once did they offer to assist me with my situation. Then once I got my situation solved on my own they didn't have one of the prescriptions. So I had to return the next day. I paid over $200 for the 5 prescriptions I got and then 2 days later I came back to pick up the one they didn't have for $60 and the pharmacy tech asked if I wanted to join the pharmacy rewards system to get rewards when I get 10 prescriptions. Don't you think that they should have asked me 2 days ago when I got 5 prescriptions and spent over $200. When I asked if she could retro the membership again she acted unconcerned and had zero interest in helping me and told me to call the 800 number on the receipt. There was no 800 number on the receipt. Very poor customer service. I immediately transferred my prescriptions out of CVS and will never go back. read more

I really appreciate how helpful and kind the pharmacy staff at this CVS is. They have the most amazing customer service. I was meaning to write a review when I first transferred all my prescriptions here because the pharmacist, I believe Melissa?, was so polite and helpful. Yesterday, when I stopped in to pick up a prescription, I was using reminded how awesome they are so I had to remember to write it down this time. I was helped by a Jessica and William and they were very kind and informative. They were extremely busy, and had to ask many customers (including me) for new cards or call and wait on hold to verify coverage with insurance due to the first of the year. They didn't seam the least bit annoyed, I am always so impressed with the level of service I receive here. The staff is awesome. Thank you guys :) read more

I went to the CVS Minute Clinic for a check up on some minor symptoms. After an hour wait time (apparently they close at 1pm but do not mention that on their website) I was seen by the nurse practitioner (they do not have MDs). The tests were performed quickly and her bedside manners were excellent; I was contemplating a 5-star review at this point. That is when she recommended an over-the-counter medicine to alleviate the symptoms. Not familiar with that medicine I asked her to show me where that is located in the store- and she took me straight to the homeopathic remedies. This is simply unacceptable! Trying to scam people by placing products in the store that are known not to work at all is one thing, but the physician explicitly trying to push this junk is unethical. read more

The CVS off of Loma Santa Fe in SB is terrible. They filled a prescription for my wife, it was different than her current prescription, they didn't explain the drug and then refused to take it back even though it was the wrong drug. Both of us having been prescribing physicians in our careers, we can recognize bad service and this pharmacy is not up to standard. read more

This CVS has been here forever! It's older, seems to be stocked less than I recall and is out dated. But it works for Solana Beach and serves the community well with boogie boards, flip flops, towels, and other beach stuff. It works for a quick need. The parking is always a breeze. Plus, it is near a variety of things which makes it convenient for running errands. read more

I have had a lot of experience with pharmacies and this is possibly the worst one ever, AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!

We used to shop here regularly and tonight were treated so rudely by an elderly man who worked there named Kevin that we will never return again. I sampled lotion from a bottle that had clearly been used by others and then took a different one off the shelf to purchase. Kevin rudely told me I had to take the one that had been used by others. Then told us he was refusing to sell us anything. My husband and I had filled a basket worth of stuff and were prepared to spend a hundred bucks as we do on a regular basis here, but thanks to Kevin we will never return. We will happily spend our money elsewhere. We went to the CVS on Encinitas Blvd right after this and several products were cheaper. All the more reason to skip the Lomas Santa Fe location! read more

Horrible horrible and did I say horrible? Their customer service is bad. No smile, no greeting, and they sit in chairs! I waited 35 minutes for my prescription after the 10 it took for the girl to put my new insurance care into the system. I sat in the waiting area listening to one person after another wanting to pick up and nothing being done, YET the technician had it completed quickly. Well, what about mine? I did not appreciate it at all. Never been treated well at CVS. I tried a competitor in Encinitas (down the road ~3 miles north) and 100% better all around. read more

Next best thing if you can't go to the Doctor... I was freeling sick and not sure what I had, went to the local CVS, and talk to one of the pharmacist. He suggested somthing over the counter, and also told me that, they had a minute clinic inside CVS. So I did go to the minute clinic office, a nice lady ( a slpecilized nurse) got my temperature and all that stuff... In less the 30 minutes I was out with prescripitions medicines etc etc. So I didn't have to drive to my Dr in San Diego and didn't loose a day of work. A few days later I also got a tank you card... thats really good service read more

It happened a few years ago when I was 18 and lived in that area. Since I had no car and my mom was sick, I took my rolling backpack and went to buy some medicines and water. There is a middle school very near this CVS and they probably mistook me for some middle schooler coming in with the backpack and trying to steal something. The two employees(which still work there) first told me that I can't bring the backpack in, and I said that I'm sorry and asked them whether there is any place for people to leave their bags why they shop. They said no and I walked around with the backpack and basket, trying to find the things I need and they kept following me and watching me from the edges of isles. I got angry and put the rolling backpack in front of them and told them that they can put it in the front for me if they don't want me to walk around with it. They didn't react anyhow and kept following me as I got more upset but bought the things I need and told the cashier about this and pointed at those two workers. But I guess it was normal of them to act this way. What can the managers do? They all are friends there. So, that incident makes me upset for years. Another incident happened around at that time too. I was looking at the lipstick in front of the store when I saw the two older employees in the front looking at me with the edge of my eye and them heard one tell another "do you think that 13-year olds should use lipstick?" But that incident just amused me and I don't know why but I didn't say anything to them. Anyway, stay away from this pithole if you can. Nothing changes there. read more

A pretty average CVS location, staff was friendly, nice, quick and professional, but nothing mind blowing....average. The store was sorted conveniently, was huge, much cleaner and was able to find what I was looking for. There were two cashiers and not a long wait through the line (one person in front), so we were in and out of there in minutes. Tons of parking as it shares a shopping complex parking lot with a bunch of other places. The only thing I noticed was that the security guard for the place was out back hanging out instead being up front where he'd be most useful. read more

I went with a friend and she saw someone at the minute clinic. The pharmacists took probably 45 minutes to fill her Rx. They kept saying "five more minutes" and every customer that went up to the register looked really annoyed. I'd avoid this pharmacy if I were you. read more
