One of my favorite stores in general. I love the coupons they are constantly sending out. I still prefer to walk in and pickup the items myself, then place an order via the app. This location is nice because they are large, have more variety and carry a lot of prestige items, some of which are in security boxes. There is a staff member who tries to get me to sign up for another reward card (so she gets her quota I guess?) and whenever I decline, she seems a little upset. I prefer to use my existing account to take advantage of the coupons aligned to my account. There is a Minute Clinic in the back. I haven't had much interaction with the pharmacy, except for one time when I purchased allergy meds and the Pharmacy clerk was able to apply all my coupons and I got it for almost half the price! read more

I switched from W*******s several months ago and I have been very happy with this CVS. Unfortunately I've been quite sick and have been there more than I would like. My prescriptions have always been ready in a timely manner, they could find them and had items in stock. Once I had to go to Urgent Care just across the parking lot and my prescription was ready when I got to the pharmacy! They were helpful finding me a better price than my insurance on my last prescription. Last winter I used them for immunizations and they were very good at that too. I have seen a genuine improvement at this CVS. Although they are out of certain medications part of the time, they have improved their service. I truly appreciate this. I also like that the hours have been extended and that I can go later at night if I end up in a Teladoc appointment someone in my family needs a prescription. First walked in tried to return an online order that was all wrong, they shipped me completely different things from what I ordered, then the first female attendant was very reluctant to help me and made a face. She the quickly called another person to come help and he just told me to call the CVS customer service line because there's nothing they can do. Don't ever order from cvs online unless you like surprises because you'll not get what you ordered. read more

Wish I could give zero stars. This is the absolute worst CVS I've been to with all my years of living around the northern Virginia area. The pharmacy staff is by far the most incompetent group ever. Every single prescription I've had here within the four years I have lived in South Riding have been late. Or, they give me a time and don't even fill it. The old Indian woman is so rude and I truly don't think she even knows how to do her job. Like I said, my prescriptions here have consistently been late. And I feel like it's probably a HIPAA violation or something when you are in line for your medication with many other customers behind you, and the pharmacist is saying so loudly what medication you have, and what it's for and what you should have done to avoid it? Like really? I have a medication that I need to take daily every morning. Dropped off the prescription and they told me it would be ready by the end of the day and that I would receive a text. I never got that text. When I went in the next morning to get the prescription because I HAD to take this medication in the morning, they told me the prescription had been put on hold. Okay, so it's on hold and they're not even going to contact me about it? Then they had me wait for another ten minutes, came back and finally told me that they lost the prescription and asked if I thought they should contact my doctor. Um, YES isn't that what you're supposed to do?! I've placed a complaint with CVS corporate. But please, avoid this CVS. Go to a different pharmacy or just make the further drive to a more competent one. This one doesn't deserve to call itself a pharmacy. read more

There were atleast 7 people customers waiting in line and 2 employees were just staring at each other to see who was gonna help the people waiting in line. Yeah, I frequent this place often but that is because it is so convenient to me and I love CVS, in general. However, my blood pressure rises slightly everytime I try to use the drive thru. For at least the last 6 months, there is a sign that reads lane #2 is out of service. I don't understand why it takes almost a year to fix lane #2. And yes, this is a problem for me, because when I have to pick up or drop off a prescription there is always a line. And I am not usually dressed decent enough to get out the car and walk into the drugstore. After all, when you look your worse is usually when you run into everyone you know. Ya know? Besides that, I am actually disturbed that they keep reorganizing the store. Sometimes, change is not good. At one point, I was able to walk in the CVS and head straight for the clearance/discontinued aisle. Now, I don't even know where it's located in the store. Drive-through pharmacy is nice, as well as its paired location with the INOVA urgent care building next door. One stop shop for the injury prone like me. Being open an hour later than INOVA care hours end sounds sufficient, but I barely squeaked in my dropoff with seven minutes to spare. I actually had to go inside to pick up my scrip. Not the most intuitive layout, since the pharmacy is misaligned from the main walkway. Four-pill rx filled in just over 10 minutes. No standard ExtraCare inquiry but I find that fairly forgiveable after quitting. read more

It's the most disorganized pharmacy I've ever seen, with more then once myself and family members not receiving the right amount of meds, in one case this was narcotics and they did make right on the script which is why they earned the third star. WORST PHARMACY EVER! My sons prescription took over 2 hours to be ready (amoxicillin) and it was done incorrectly. A few days later my infant needed a nebulizer and when I arrived I was given the saline for the treatment but never the nebulizer so we had to drive back again to get the nebulizer. It's an unbelievable place. Becoming at least. Cvs is advertising all over the place to get vaccinated. You get there as a walk in. Oh we don't do walk inns you have to come back than and than or make an appointment. Not everyone has the luxury to just go when they please. Just unbelievable you get turned away to get a vaccine. When my health insurance was paying for x amount of free COVID test a month. This location would call me up to get them. They made some money out of it and benefit cvs not the patient. Worst CVS pharmacy and totally incompetent and rude,arrogant Pharmacy assistants,particularly the one who was working the day shift there on 4/9/2020.She kept hanging up on me when I called several times to check the status of my prescription.After the fifth attempt,she told me that the prescription will be ready for pick up by 5 PM. When I called back later that evening,a different pharmacy assistant answered the phone and told me that the prescription requires a prior authorization from the Physician.Had I been told about this earlier in the day during business hours ,I could have called the Doctors office myself and requested a prior authorization.Also,if a prescription needs a prior authorization,shouldn't the pharmacy call the prescriber and inform them that a prior authorization is required. I have somehow put up with the incompetence of this CVS pharmacy location for a while but not anymore.I will be moving all my prescription orders from this CVS location to the nearby Walgreens or Giant pharmacy.Avoid this place at all costs if you can !! read more

This pharmacy doesn't have good customer service, they are not timely, and they're rude. I've been here multiple times and have always been displeased with the service and attitude of the employees. Our youngest just had surgery and medicines were called in to the pharmacy. Took us about 20 minutes to get to the pharmacy. And not only did they not have it ready, but we waited for an hour and 22 minutes more for common pain medicine and antibiotic. I don't mind waiting for things if there is a line, but to have somebody sit there and wait for an hour and 22 minutes when they're not even busy is ridiculous. I have a love-hate relationship with CVS in general. Until visiting this particular CVS, I had never been in a nice, clean, well-lit, and un-cluttered CVS. Most CVS's are absolute dives, so as far as CVS's go for staff and store ambiance, this one gets 5 stars. I have never been in a nicer CVS, and I really hope the others in the area could take a page out of this one's book and improve their stores! On the other hand, I love to shop at CVS because of the awesome coupon deals to be had. You just can't beat free Eurcerin and Pantene ;-). If you do use coupons here, just be aware that this particular one seems to not let you use the 20% off coupons on non-sale items that produce Extra Care Bucks (unless it just was conflicting with another CVS coupon I had... not sure!!). read more

After many years of Giant S. Riding filling my medication, I had to part ways with Giant and give CVS a try. (Giant newly added staffs totally dysfunctional and unprofessional, not to mention their head pharmacist left). My 2nd service and so far so good. I've had no complaints. My first was 2 months ago, the head pharmacist even thou I could see that they were busy, he took time and answered even providing information that my doctor failed to do about the medication. Went there today, the assistant couldn't find my order in the system, went to a different system to search. Another staff took obliged and asked if I been helped, and he saw me standing there he scolded her what was she doing. I have to say customer service, the way these group especially the head pharmacist took charge and notice, very impressed (and he was on the phone!). I almost wanted to shake his hand for making it right! Thank you for the service and taking care of your customers! Awesome!!! read more

HORRIBLE!!!!!!! Unfortunately I have CVS Caremark Prescription Health Insurance and forced to go here. Literally every time I go (which is frequent) there is some sort of issue!!!! Either they do not have the medicine in stock and have to come back another day, they have not listened to their messages (from when the doctors call in)so my prescription has not been filed, I get text messages saying my order is ready but when I show up it is not, I don't get a text when my order is actually ready, have given me the wrong dosage!!!!, or you have to wait easily 20 min in line. This is the worst pharmacy I have ever dealt with. I pray my insurance will change. Do not come here if you do not have to! read more

I've been going to this CVS pharmacy since it opened. I was previously pleased with it. But yesterday Lupin had a level 1 recall and after Giant pharmacy phoned my roommate three times to speak to her about it, I phoned them to find out what was going on, as my medication had the lot number impacted. 8 hours after the recall had been announced on the web, they had no idea what I was talking about because they hadn't checked their email yet. That's not the kind of group I want to put my health care into the hands of. Moving onto a pharmacy that reacted in a timely manner. read more

Worst pharmacy....I would have not opted for this if it wasn't the closest to my house. Today after my antibiotics prescription was sent around 1pm and I went at 6pm to pick up and after waiting 25 min for my turn they say the prescription is not ready and that they are backed up and asked me to wait. Just inefficient management... they also only gave only a part of prescription to the 2 people before me and had asked them to wait as well.. .. I mean seriously?
