Went in to buy few things - shaving needs etc. it was expensive as compared to other shops like Walmart. Walgreens has photo services and other stuff . I like their photo service . I got my stuff but the billing tookkkkk a longgggg time . Only one person helping for billing and there was someone with so many coupons holding up the line . Atlast , after 10-15 mins someone else came and opened another billing counter . I really thought of keeping off everything and walking away but someone came and helped right away. Definitely one of the better Walgreens pharmacies in the area (not sure why all the 1 star reviews). Front store staff are very friendly and helpful. This Walgreens is fine if you simply need to pick up a snack or two. I am pretty sure the employees are completely unaware how their photo or FedEx drop off system works at any given moment I ordered cards online on cardstock for pick up from this location. When I arrived, luckily I checked before I went home because they were printed on flimsy paper and not the cardstock I had paid extra for. The images were also poorly printed despite being high resolution uploads. The employees were confused as to why I was unhappy with my order and I asked them to reprint on cardstock. They proceeded to tell me "it prints on the paper in the printer" then why are there even different paper options at this location? The employees didn't really understand my concerns and I was given a discount and not even a refund for the incorrect and poor product. I didn't bother arguing because I don't think they genuinely understood what my concern was. It was a waste of time and I ended up having to order from a different company altogether. For FedEx shipping: I have dropped packages off here several times and each time the process is different and the employees take a while to tinker with the system, don't know the password, etc. It just seems that no one really cares or knows what's going on despite having ample staffing and being empty the majority of the time I'm there. This store's pharmacy is the worst ever. I went inside to pick up my meds a couple of weeks ago after I got a call from them that my prescription was ready. I get there and they get my id and insurance card and then start working on my prescription. Not only that, while one pharmacist was working on my prescription, the second one was just standing there and watching and talking to her. I decided to go through the drive thru and it was the exact same thing. It took me twenty minutes to get to the window with just two cars in front of me. I get there and it's the same story again. The pharmacist gets my name and then starts working on my meds. I had had surgery a week before and could barely stand. But sucked it up. The sad part is that by the time I got my prescription, there were seven other people waiting in line behind me. Why do they bother to call to say my prescription is ready when it's not. By the time I left the pharmacy, I'd been there for 30 minutes. To say the service is pathetic would be an understatement!!!!! Gosh these pharmacists need to get their act together!!!! I used to live in Herndon and used the CVS on McLearen Road. Boy were they fast. I never in my 20 years of using this pharmacy had to wait in the drive thru for over 15 minutes. Something needs to be done and more customers need to raise their voice so that something can be done for patients who are there because they are ill and need some folks who show they actually care. I had a prescription sent here that I really needed the same day. I arrived an hour before closing and they told me their system was down and they "hoped" it would be back up tomorrow afternoon. They could not even send my prescription elsewhere as they had not received it. They hadn't received anyone's prescriptions that entire day! They also told me their telephones were not working which does not inspire respect in this company. I will not use Walgreens again based on this. read more

Always find what I'm looking for and staff is always helpful. I went to print a picture on the self serve photo kiosk only to find out they don't print right then and there and Ryan was super polite and helpful and told me he would print my picture for me right there instead of waiting a week to get it. I appreciated it as it was a memorial photo I needed today! I do think they should upgrade to the print immediately kiosks so people can do more pictures on their own and have them instantly for these kinds of instances. read more

The worse pharmacy we've ever been to. They have 5 people working behind the counter but only one register open to help people. No direction for anyone since there is a line for the vaccine and prescription pick up, so it's a cluster fuck! One for just waking around organizing bins when there is like 15 people waiting. I dropped my prescription to be filled out yesterday at 5 pm at the Eastgate Chantilly Walgreens. I stood in line inside for 40 minutes before the pharmacy clerk took it. Today at 12:30, I thought it won't be as slow, I went to the drive-thru to pick it up. I waited 40 minutes for 2 cars to be served before me and 15 minutes for my turn, while a few clerks asked me for my last name and disappeared, and then finally rang it up. This is my last trip to that drug store. I've been going to Walgreens in South Riding for many years. Their service was excellent and pretty fast. I'm not sure what happened lately, but they have a huge problem and will need to get their act together before they loose any more customers. read more

The pharmacy here deserves zero stars. There's an issue EVERY SINGLE TIME. The only reason we come here is pure convenience, so I'm glad we're moving to be done with this place. Riya rolls her eyes and gives attitude because I'm upset that you've had my child's rx for over an hour and a half, but she's telling me I now need to wait for the pharmacist to take a break. Always helpful and always willing to check insurance or whatever it is you that you might need. Always on time and never miss a beat. I do not have much experience shopping at this store, with only a rare exception, so I cannot fairly comment on certain aspects of the store, such as the efficiency of the front desk cashiers and/or the availability of products. However, my experiences with the pharmacy have been pleasant, efficient and as trouble free as today's big box pharmacy experiences can be. I wish the pharmacy was open a bit later, but I am otherwise satisfied. For example, I have found the staff to be good about faxing your physician for refills (or the like). In fact, my primary care doctor has become less responsive (that's another matter) than she should be, but the pharmacist helped by reaching out to her office about a matter I had been wholly unsuccessful with. There is a drive through for pharmacy purchases as well and although I don't use it often, I've found them equally helpful there. I wish however folks would not delay other customers by asking questions in the drive through - those should be taken inside (in my humble opinion). read more

I stopped by to pick up prescriptions for my elderly mother, then discovered after getting to her home that they did not fill all of her prescriptions. I then waited on hold on the phone for over 45 minutes until I actually got to talk to someone in the pharmacy. You wait on hold for a few minutes ,then someone picks up for 3 seconds to tell you to hold, and then you find yourself in the purgatory of being on hold again. This happened at least a dozen times over the 45 minute time span until I eventually spoke to someone in the pharmacy. I am a physician and call pharmacies all the time, but have never had an experience like this with any other pharmacy I've dealt with. I wound up just driving back to the pharmacy to try and talk with someone in-person, and they simply said that they forgot to fill the prescription, so I had to wait another 10 minutes for it to be filled. lTerrible, terrible service. Pharmacy staff is always friendly and the prescription pickups very swift. There's a drive-thru you can use to pick up your medicine as well. Staff is attentive and answers any question you may have. Horrible customer service!! I purchased a gift card for my grandsons b'day. I was asked if I needed a gift receipt, this implied it was returnable/exchangeable. I purchased the wrong kind, in bringing it back to exchange for correct one, without explanation, I was told no. At no time was I informed all gift card purchases were final, non-refundable, no-exchanges, etc. No where in store does it state "policy". the back of the gift card, states any returns are to be made at the retailer where purchased. If walgreens cannot handle the exchange of un-used gift cards, they should not be selling them! In addition, they could use a course in professional customer service! read more

This rating is for the Pharmacy only. This location USED to be a great pharmacy. Everyone is different and no one cares. Once this nice man left the store for another job opportunity, it appeared it all went downhill. He greeted you, was efficient and professional. That is long gone at this pharmacy now. No one smiles or says hello. Once I stood at the window for 10 minutes. They were talking. Not to customers to one another. I finally said, "hello can I get help here?" I was ignored. I don't even see the same pharmacists. They get our insurance info confused EVERY time. Now the people who come to the window are most unprofessional, ignore you, never smile, act as if you are a royal pain because you wish to pick up your RX. The pharmacists are no better. I used to be able to ask a question. I asked if I could the other day and she ROLLED her eyes. I loved the location, I liked the drive-thru. But I will not give another cent to this location. Sadly it's a nice store and I have always had a good experience until the last several months. Each time we go there is an issue. (pharmacy only!) They text and tell us it's ready. You get there, it's not ready and heaven forbid he had to look in the computer. He sighed loudly, made noises and then turned and walked away. Left us standing there as if we were invisible. When finally I asked if he had my Rx, he put his hand up as if "talk to the hand" WTH? That was the last straw for us. He needs to be fired. Not replicated as it seems in the entire pharmacy! I wish I remembered her name, but she talked me off the ledge, making me laugh, and drove there despite many other pharmacies being closer. I used to enjoy going to Walgreens but today was the last straw. I was there for almost 2 hours waiting on a prescription. People in line were irate and one even got the manager to come out to help the understaffed pharmacy. It seemed to have to do with flu shots and the pharmacist had to do shots and filling prescriptions. It was crazy. And she kept helping others instead of taking care of who was there longest. I picked up my kids and their friends from soccer practice and they asked if we could stop by this Walgreens to get some candy for their slumber party. We got there at around 9 pm and the store was basically empty, and to my knowledge, there was only two employees working. We were planning to spend around $30 on the candy, not including the other things that I needed to pick up. Our purchase would have been around $80, which is a lot for a quick stop by Walgreens. The kids were talking amongst themselves excitedly, which is expected from a group of six nine year-olds. The store was a mess and I found it hard to locate some of the other items I needed due to everything being in the wrong place. Since this was taking longer than expected, my daughter and one of her friends, who were tired and impatient from a 2 hour soccer practice, decided to sit down quietly and discreetly and a a completely empty aisle. As we were about to check out, we were approached by the manager, Marty (not 100% how to spell it). He proceeded to scold at my 9 year old and her friend to get off the ground. I quickly walked over to the scene and Marty told us that we were no longer welcome at the store, and told us to put back our almost $80 worth of merchandise. We were forced to leave because of our "disruption". Very disappointed and definitely will not be coming back to give Walgreens our service after the disrespect and embarrassment that Marty caused me and my children. read more

I've been using them to fill my (too many) scrips every month practically since they opened. As a result the pharmacy manager and a couple of the employees know me on sight. It's a nice change from the pharmacy I used before! Admittedly I also love their rewards system which provides me points to blow on other merchandise occasionally.
