I called the name on the sign and it talks about how they are closing early on Xmas eve (its april). Someone comes to give the person next to me their package so I ask about mine. What can I say...it's Walmart! You go in, get your stuff and leave. Their prices are not much lower than Target, maybe by $0.04-0.05, but most people I know prefer to avoid Walmart in general. I like this location better than the other ones in the area as it is still "newer" and a different area. They are usually fully stocked and carry pretty much everything, which is great. For the most part, this location is well-kept, organized and maintained well. The optical department is friendly as well. There are a lot of staff on the floors putting together pickup orders, so they are more familiar with the locations of certain items. The customer service is nothing to brag about. It's more a process...show the receipt, hand over the item, provide the return reason and get a refund. Done, next. Sometimes it can be a bit of a hassle. When checking out, I prefer to use the self-checkout lanes, which thankfully has expanded with more counters and is on both sides of the store. There is plenty of parking available, dedicated solely to Walmart. read more

BLUF: Unless you're a frequent shoppper at the Dulles Landing location, items you may be looking for based on the Walmart website can very difficult to find given the store set up & nearly impossible to find staff who can help you find something. Items are not marked/signed well, so you may end up paying a lot more for an item (e.g., milk) than you had hoped based on signage. It's a huge store & generally clean, but customer service really isn't very good. During daylight hours, the parking lot is typically a gamble in terms of safety & avoiding a collision, especially when you're trying to cross the main roadway (walking) to enter the store as well as driving out of the parking lot. To be honest, even most of the customers who shop at this location are rather rude and unfriendly. I only go to Walmart when I have to, so I'm not a regular. But since this location has opened, I've visited enough to witness how unsatisfying the experience has evolved, especially when needing to make a quick stop for something specific. If you're looking to buy a certain item that may not be a popular item like namebrand stuff and you decide to use the Walmart.com website to help you quickly locate something in the store, I wish you luck. It's hit or miss, and I wish you gobs & gobs more luck with finding someone who can help you, and if you finally find an employee and you both don't share the same language...ugh. On another occasion, I stood in the electronics department right next to a young employee who was fiddling with something & attempted to get his attention to help me find a section of the store & he just ignored me. Wouldn't even look up as I stood there waiting & trying to get his attention. The only thing I've liked about this store is the self-checkout because I rarely buy more than an armful of items. Oh, and I think I've had one good experience in the pharmacy when I had a question. Worth the drive? Only if you love Walmart, know the store well, and can find a helpful employee whenever you need help with something. Me? I know this will sound odd, but this was the prettiest Walmart I have been to in a while. The outside of this location does not look like your typical Walmart. It actually looks like it could fit into any neighborhood if Walmart cared about neighborhoods. However, every ounce of the façade fads away once you enter the store. The prettiness fades away to the ugliness that we all know awaits us inside a Walmart. You know what I mean, mass chaos, ignorant people, and checkout lines. I didn't need much when I came in here, so I only wanted to use a basket. I have come to expect that most of the times Walmart will not have what I need on the shelf. So my expectations of shopping at a Walmart is to grab a basket and only shop until I fill the basket up. If I can actually justify filling a basket up. What stick out most about this place is the configuration of the parking lot. Specifically how people entered the lot. It was really weird waiting for people to use the entry road which kind of floods out into the lot. Kind of confusing when you attempt to leave the lot. I bought candy bags for hollowing and have three big bags of candy left, four days later want to return them but was told that they are not taking them back. when I bought them there was no sign to warn us that this candy are not returnable. Even liquid was half up full of the container which it was very awkward. I mean I really use to LOVE this Walmart when I first moved her back in 2017. Now? 2021? I absolutely HATE this location. If it's not the employees in the dam* way with the huge restocking carts or employees filling online shopping carts blocking the lanes...it's for sure going to be employees who cut you off. You can either get some manners and wait your turn or get to grabbing the back of your ankles. - Why do your employees not know where anything is?! Like how are you walking around in that area but don't know where anything is!? I ask one employee and that turns into two different employees all looking at each other crazy before I just say forget it. I'm starting to think that people are buying Walmart vests off Amazon or Party City. - Why are most of the employees SO RUDE!? Like it's a serious problem. It's not until I match their tone that they become apologetic about something that Walmart messed up. - There have been three different occasions where I see something for one price on the shelf but when I get to the register it rings up differently. Why is it ALWAYS A PROBLEM. I eventually go through at least three employees, just standing around doing nothing, before I am able to get someone that can help. I mean they all come over, look at the screen, the useless handheld device, and then walk off to go do nothing...but not before telling me that they've called the manager. Manager gets over and does the same thing. 30 or so minutes later they figure it out. It's not until a customer gets a bit irate until they actually start customer serving. I know I'm not the only customer that feels this way because I usually see customers a hot second away from causing a scene. This store has major issues that need to be fixed. One of the best Walmarts in VA. The employees are so nice and everything is so organized. I only went for a couple of minutes since we needed some last minute things to buy for iftar time. I was able to find everything fairly quickly. The produce section had a lot of variety. Check out time: The cashier was really nice as well. I really thought I entered some other store, since usually Walmart employees don't smile, or acknowledge you etc. Happy to see the common curtesy and decent interactions between employees and customers. I was able to get my shopping done within a few minutes. Side Note- This is a great plaza with a lot of stores that are across the street as well. It's Walmart. We just discovered this shopping center and came across Walmart. This is probably one of the bigger Walmart's in the area, similar to the ones I've visited in Kentucky. The aisles are bigger and the store is super neat. It opened recently, so I guess we'll have to see how organized this place stays after some time. Employees are friendly enough. They have a lot more registers open but the line still moves fairly slow. They have self check out too, which is nice. This is now the closest Walmart to me, so I'm glad for that. It's also open 24 hours, which is really convenient. This location isn't all that packed. For now, there is plenty of room to browse around and go on a late night stroll when nothing else is open. read more

This Walmart used to be so nice and upscale. Now I feel like I'm at the dollar store. Everything is disorganized, you can't find an associate to help you with anything, and if you just so happen to find one they do not speak one word of English. They reorganized the store and now auto supply is in two sections, shampoo is in two sections. I found a planter I wanted but it didn't have a price on it. The lady supervising self checkout would not look up the price, and would not call to get someone to get me another one. she just took it from me, and said, "Not for sale!" I hate the self check out, but literally it is really the only choice anymore. I am disabled. This is degrading that I cannot get help to buy my groceries. Then on top of it I then have to wait in line to get my receipt checked before I leave. If Walmart is so worried about me shoplifting then they should go back to cashiers scanning the items. Really... someone looking at a receipt who does not read or write English is supposed to scan my receipt and determine if I neglected to pay for something. I don't work here! I do not need the stress of this that I possibly screwed up and will be accused of shoplifting. My husband and I walked out the other day with four bins. My receipt had four items but he saw 8 items when he counted the lids. We stood there and argued with him for 10 minutes that the lids come with the bin. It was ridiculous. Finally he let us go, but I don't think he was convinced that we paid for our items. Also, I notice that they pick and choose whose receipts they scan. For whatever reason sometimes I am waived on and other times they hunt me down. I've also witnessed some confrontation between the receipt checker and African Americans. The white people were not checked but then he asked to see the black peoples' receipt. It was not pretty, she went postal on him but she had a great point... Why do any of us need to be checked? The customer was yelling at him about being a racist. But then some more white people came through and he waved them on. Walmart is asking for trouble with this policy. So done with Walmart as a whole. I bought an item in Louisiana, never even took it off the hanger but I didn't get a chance to return it. So I travel to my local Walmart today with item and receipt in hand. SN: item didn't have a tag when I bought it so in typical fashion another item with the tag was scanned and I didn't take that one because it was a different size. I go to customer service, greeted by a friendly lady but she questions the item. Calls the customer service person (Claudinette or something like that)I from clothing section who tells her it isn't a Walmart brand so they determine that they can't take it back. EYE VISION CENTER Thought to share my extremely unprofessional experience over at the Vision Center in South Riding, VA. Past several years we've been going to My Eye Doctor for prescription glasses and never had any issues, whatsoever, but, this time we wanted to try Walmart Vision Center. Sometime last year in 2020 we ordered our glasses and over and above the insurance we paid our share. Now, after 7-8 months we are receiving a billing statement which annotates me and my wife owe's $97 each. I have gone in person to the Vision Center the staff and the Manager would simply like to wash their hands stating your insurance did not approve the bill and when I call my insurance they claim that Walmart has been submitting incorrect invoices and the insurance company is having several issues with Walmart Billing which they are working on. Never ever had such a bad experience and don't ever plan to visit Walmart for eye testing in future. read more

Tire shop is horrible. first they did not balance my tires correctly and did not reinstall me center caps correctly so I ended up loosing one. retuned to rebalance the tires and upon leaving had to reinstall my center caps correctly otherwise I would of lost 2 more and the balancing is worse. save time and money and go anyplace else but Walmart for tires. read more

This is regarding an online order that I placed. I get an email reminder to pick it up by Sunday, October 18, 2020. So this is a reminder email and it says "by" and not "before". I am at the store by 6.30 after driving for about 15 miles. The product is there but the associate were not able to ring it in the register and I was told that the order is cancelled. Last night I lost my iPhone 7 at the Walmart super center at Dulles landing. I had many people try to help me for which I am so grateful for. However th person that stood out to me that really "cares" and went that extra mile for me was Lisa Hall. She stepped up and asked people, hunted down supervisors to ask for there help; and just expressed true concern for me while I was freaking out over my stupid cell phone. This is my favorite Walmart in the entire world. It is clean and doesn't suffer from "people of Walmart" syndrome. The only issue I have is that frequently things are out of place or not set up properly which lead to multiple times we've tried to buy something at the register and learned it was a lot more expensive than how it was displayed. read more

I am writing because I was wronged by several members at a local Walmart store #03639. I was at this store on 8/29/16 to buy a rifle. I showed up at 7:30pm and an employee behind the sporting goods desk by the name of Sakattar refused to sell it to be because "it is too close to 8pm" as he said. I persisted that he start the paperwork because I knew this sale would cause the rifle to be sold quickly. Sakattar still did nothing, I asked his several times and finally had to find a manager as I did not want to leave empty handed. Finally Monir, a co-manager was brought to the counter. He told me that he would reserve the rifle for me and took down my name and phone number and advised me to return at noon tomorrow. I pleaded with him but he said they would not start the sale because it was now 8pm and it would take too long. I was very upset but could do nothing so I said I could be back by 11:00am the next day. I arrived 10 minutes early to find that Scott, the department manager, had just sold the rifle to another customer. As you can imagine I was very upset. All of this could have been avoided if Sakattar had just done what I had asked. I asked to speak with a manager at this point because I was lied to by at least two employees, one of them a manager. Co-manager Camilla said they were sorry but that did not help my problem. I asked Scott to order me one since it Monir had made a false promise to me. Scott said it would take 10 -12 business days and it should be in. I spent the last few weeks trying to reach Scott on the phone only to get a hold of him once last week, to which he said he had not yet received the rifle and that he would call me back with more information. I never heard back from him for a week. Again I called the store and spoke with Monir, he said he would check with Scott and call me back to follow up... I NEVER heard back from Monir. Just today 9/26/16, nearly a full month later I called to check on the status and asked to speak with Co-Manager Camilla. She informed me that the rifle was ordered but the supplier was out of stock. NO ONE told me about this for nearly 4 weeks! I am beyond upset with the employees at this Walmart. Not one of them was helpful in the least and this all could have been avoided if Sakattar was not too lazy to do his job. Or if Monir did not have an arrogant attitude and would have been more helpful. All Monir did was have me return when he was not scheduled to work so the problem could be dealt with by someone else. Monir was the least helpful and most frustrating to deal with throughout this entire ordeal. Now I have a hunting trip that I was only attending because I could afford the rifle needed only to find that I have to cancel it because of the poor attitudes, lack of professionalism, dishonesty and poor customer service provided by Walmart employees. Long story short: I was lied to by walmart managers and missed out on a rifle i wanted specifically for a hunting trip and did not get it because the original employee was too LAZY to do his job. I really hope corporate sees how upset I am regarding this and contacts me to make this right. read more
