Terrible serivice. First time at this location, I have lived in Southfield a while and can't wait to get out because I have been constantly treated poorly. Today I was mistreated by a worker named phoebe. I came to pick up an order I placed 45 mins prior and stood in line. The pharmacist notified me he was filling mine right then. I listened to phoebe tell the woman sitting in the chair next to me that hers would be expedited meaning they haven't worked on them yet. I got a text that my prescriptions were ready 30 seconds later as I was sitting and began to stand back in line. I waited for the woman in front of me to finish. The worker behind the register with bright orange hair Phoebe saw me behind her and proceeded to lock eyes with the woman behind me who spoke up saying she had got a text saying her order was ready. Because I did not say it out loud and instead stood in line she made a fuss turned to the pharmacist and said this lady thinks I can fill hers at the same time, and gave me a disgusting look. She then huffed and puffed and continued to give me attitude. Then blurted that the reason the other woman wasn't standing is because she couldn't walk. I was waiting in that line for 10 mins after the first time so mine was patiently waiting and did not blurt out loud that my order was finished. She broke my heart and it sank. She did that purposefully to make me feel poorly. I told her she did not have to make me feel bad about the situation and she continued to press with attitude that it was not her intention and apologized to the person behind me like I wasn't even human. Disgusting behavior. As I walked out I told her she did definitely intend to make me feel poorly. I will never step foot in a store in this area again. Don't come here, it is not worth your time. I have always came to CVS but clearly I can't come in Southfield. 2 minutes before she told an elderly man that he needed to speak up about his purchases before he rang him up and scoffed when he said he was sorry. Made flu shot appointments for my children. Thought it would be easier than the 30 minute ride across town. I was wrong. We would have been to the doctor and back in the time we waited. CVS please note, children don't Like getting shots. Making them wait a long, long, long time doesn't help make things any better. Goto CVS if you like waiting an hour to get a flu shot, enjoy rude staff that talks to each other and complains instead of helping customers, and don't forget the overpriced medicine and candy marked up on average 40 to 50% over target and Meijer. read more

The pharmacist at this location by the name of Nicole is unprofessional as the day is long. I attempted to ask about a prescription. The girl at the counter with pink waist long braids told me that my coupon did not cover the meds that I was trying to purchase. When pink hair could not tell me why it was not covered, I asked her if I could speak with someone that could give me the reason... enter Nicole. Nicole tells me that I need prescription to use the coupon online for an over the counter product. I said "well that doesn't make much sense". I asked, "so I would need to go to my dr and get a prescription for an over the counter product in order to use the coupon". She replied, " or you could call your doctor because they probably would prescribe something else". My response was, "exactly, so why would I need a prescription to use a coupon for an over the counter product". She then says, "well that's what the rx in Good Rx stands for". I reply I'm fully aware of what Good RX is that's how we got here. Never mind, I will just call from over here" and I stepped to the side. She walked to the back near her colleagues and began yelling things like, " you need to tell them to send it to us first" and she yelled something else about my condition that I was purchasing meds for. Bottomline is that in pharm school, like any other health profession, it is imperative that confidentiality is maintained when it comes to patients/ clients/ consumers. Not only was I humiliated in front of her staff and other waiting customers, but I also did not get to use my coupon as I just wanted to get away from the ghetto as soon as possible. I'd give this store a negative rating. I've never dealt with so much incompetence anywhere! Took 4!!! Trips attempting to fill prescription and over 5 days! 1. Dropped off - "be ready in 15" 2. In 2 hours - "not ready yet" 3. Following day - "we don't have it, need to order come back Friday" 4. "Come back Monday" After 4th unsuccessful trip, called to check if it's finally ready, was put on hold by Rita "let me check", 22!!! Minutes later, she was asking me the same questions (it took me a while to explain the situation to her on the first place). I've never been so upset at a retail place as I am at this store. First off I am a CVS person, and used to make sure I shopped at CVS. After dealing with this CVS, it is no longer the case. I am tired of them being out or not carrying the narco drugs I've been prescribed. I had to go on a second trip to a Walgreens to pick those drugs up since CVS refused to carry them, So I had to make that second trip just to pick up pain killers... an inconvience, but I am on them or chronic pain, so the problem was a pain in the backside. Then I switched insurances to Medicare. I went to the store, gave them my new card and was charged the amount for the copay that the Medicare said I was supposed to. I then went, later, on CVS' website after I was *told* it was time to order refills. The pharmacist insisted, when he called me up that it was too early to refill...despite what their own website said. I then, thinking fast, asked him what insurance he was looking at, that said it was too soon to refill. Of course he said the old one. I told him of his error and told him how the last time I went in I had given my new insurance, etc. He then spent 10 minutes or so trying to find this mysterious new insurance which they took... and of course he could not. I then told them I brought it in, was charged on it, etc. He denied it, and insinuated that I was lying. As if I have nothing better to do with my life than to call CVS and lie about insurance changes. It is my hobby don't you know. We then got into a shouting match, that he brought on,. I never yell.. I am the most mellow guy in the world, but his insistance that I was wrong was the last straw. In the end he hung up on me. Had a great experience at this location. I had a prescription that I needed to pick up from this CVS. It was more expensive to get the prescription behind the counter. The woman behind the counter helped me out so that I could make the right choice and she directed me to an over the counter one that was much much cheaper but still did the same job! read more

It is no longer a pharmacy no one answers the phone when they do you have been on hold for so long you have forgotten what you call for :( I see why it takes so long for them to answer it is bc the attendant on the phone likes to explain things that you do not ask. Maybe this location should contract out this to an attendant service and all information available by computer so the in store attendants can help me at counter. I am not a sickly person so I rarely have to encounter the pharmacy. Usually if I go, its for a pain pill from going to the dentist or something minor. Well after a doctor's visit about a month ago, my physician made it exceedingly clear that I had gained too much weight, my blood pressure was elevated and my blood might as well have been butter given how high my cholesterol was. I embraced the news and went on a diet and happy to report that in 3 weeks of dieting and working out, I lost 15 lbs... what does that have to do with CVS? Nothing... I just took an opportunity to toot my own horn. Oh and before you ask, Weigh Watchers. ANYWAY, when I left the doctor's office, he prescribed me a few pills. I took them to the pharmacy here to get filled. The girl who helped me was nice enough but there was this older woman working snapping her gum. OMG... how annoying!!! Crack...crack...crackcrackcrack... I complained about it because I thought she was void of professionalism period. The manager seemed sincere in taking on my concern so I was satisfied. I haven't seen her since and I look out for her when I go. She wasn't temporary help as she seemed to know the customers. BTW, who the hell wants the clerk yelling their name out in front of people. Wait, old people... lol. Nevermind... Yesterday, I had to go here as my throat was extremely sore. I get sore throats often (tonsils out at age 24 because of frequent strep and abscess) so I was overdue for a throat problem. I am not going to say that it was not busy because I know how to a customer's naked eye, the way it seems can often be the furthest thing from the truth. Well I had to wait what I thought was a long time but whatever. I was irritated and I was in pain and basically felt like crap. Well, they call me and hand me Jonathan's prescription. Ummm...1 problem, they gave me the medicines for Jonathan Adams. THAT'S NOT ME!!! They charged me $14.00 for the prescription. My pills are usually under $2.00 which made me look closely. Once I noticed it and brought it to their attention, they looked at me as if I were playing a game. They ID'd me again and went and got my prescript. Isnt that some kind of HIIPA violation? I mean, technically I could locate Jonathan Adams and look at his meds and tell you what health conditions he has. What if he were my employee? Cousin? Anyway, mistakes happen. When they do, the words " I am terribly sorry about that mix-up. I am glad you were paying attention. Please feel better." Nope... just asked me if I wanted my money back on my card or cash. No apology, no nothing. I was in no mood to complain plus, I was talking like my tongue weighed 700 lbs. so who could understand me? Today, my physician prescribed me an antibiotic. He called in the order and I went to grab it. Here we go with the being unprofessional thing. There was the pharmacist, two petite clerks and maybe an assistant pharmacist? When I got there, they claimed my doctor never called in the prescript. Then they put their spidy powers together and checked the voicemail.. TADA!!! Once the pharmacist called my name, NOBODY rung me up forever. The one girl was eating Ruffles chips and a diet coke. Not only was she eating them, SHE WAS TURNING THE F&%$in BAG UP TOO HER MOUTH AND TAKING THE CRUMBS TO THE HEAD!!!! Now, I admit, I am slightly cranky as my throat feels like I tried my hand at eating a bon-fire but WTF? I just hate this place. The bathroom there always looks in the condition of a port- a-john at a carnival. The workers are typically not kind. I brought a prescription to this pharmacy and the pharmacist said that the DEA does not allow them to fill scripts from another city. This is a complete lie. I called the DEA and verified. I believe the pharmacist was judging me because I live in Detroit. Don't go here. read more

Let me preface by saying I have never been a fan of the CVS franchise, but this is by far THE WORST CVS I have ever had the displeasure of being in. Both the Pharmacists and Techs are extremely rude for seemingly no reason, and on top of that they come off as very judgmental and prejudiced. While I normally have EXCELLENT service here today I did not. I shop here at least twice a week. I use my CVS card all the time. I had several downloaded coupons that I wanted to use today. Well for some reason my 10% off one item wasn't showing up but the others were. This has happened before and the manager over rode the coupon because I SHOWED them on my phone that the coupon was ON my card. Well today the manager Brittany REFUSED to honor it. She told me she couldn't do it and refused to call the manager over her because they were "off work". She RUDELY told me to call 1-800-SHOPCVS. I called while I stood in line and the operator ALSO verified that the coupon WAS on the card like I showed them and told me the manager IS ALLOWED to override it. I had all of this on speaker phone so she could hear her. Brittany STILL REFUSED! She was the absolute rudest "manager" ever and I'll be calling corporate! read more
