This place is a complete dump. Sadly over the years I always stop here because it is the most convenient on my way to/from work but today I've decided to boycott for good. They only have prescriptions in stock about one out of ten times. Today there wasn't a single carton of milk. All the shelves empty. Parking lot is a tagged up broken glass dump which is insane considering the multimillion dollar fryman estates nearby. We know this major corporation is making major bucks- hire a ducking janitor or withhold rent till your landlord makes this place decent. I complained about the broken glass everywhere and the response: we don't own the parking lot and they don't clean it. Call the city. That's hilarious. The city has no obligation to clean private property that cvs pays rent for! Disgusting. Everyone complains about the city falling apart but rite aid and cvs on Hollywood side manage to keep it together and do basic maintenance. That's where I will be from here on out. 5 stars but I felt profiled the way you guys called security on me over the loudspeaker. I've been dressing in oversized clothes because I have had a disability for the past few years, and it really hurt my feelings the way you guys were so obvious about calling security to check if I was stealing. I understand that stores view baggy clothes as a red flag and I should have contained my emotions. My suggestion is that you find a better way to communicate to security that you think someone is stealing(especially one who was 100% planning on paying, and did pay for my items), because you guys were extremely obvious. And if it bothers you so much for customers to walk around with product in their hand, then you should provide handheld baskets at the entrance as some of your customers are disabled and cannot push a full-sized cart. I apologize for how I spoke to the employees and for accidentally knocking over that gum display on my way out, I was really angry and flustered and not paying attention and my bags were heavy and i had my phone and keys in my hand, i didn't think the display was gonna fall over. I should have offered to pick it up in the moment but I was mad and embarrassed and in my ego and kept yelling and left, which was really arrogant and disrespectful of me. I tried calling the store when I got home to apologize, but it was closed, I will call again, but if you would like me to pay for any damages I may have caused and as apology to the workers, please message me on here. I was really upset but I should have controlled my emotions and behaved more respectfully, I know the workers were just doing their job and maybe what they did was protocol, it just hurt my feelings the way that they went about it. First time shopping at this location. If I could give zero stars I would. On April 30, 2023 Kevin A and his two cashiers were beyond rude and belittling. After waiting for 8 minutes for someone to open a locked box, my boyfriend and I go up to the register and we hear a voice say "over here". Unclear where the voice was coming from, I say "there?" And he sarcastically answers "No over there" and pint away with his head. My boyfriend asked "what?" And the rude little boy (without a name tag) said "oh I was being sarcastic." Only because we needed allergy medicine did I end up giving this place my money and went through with the transaction. I said something about him being rude especially after waiting for so long and I hear the other cashier say "oh she's mad". Poor job de-escalating. The apology? "I didn't know you were waiting that long." Do better CVS. Kevin A who looks like a leader on duty is a joke of an image to your company. With its convenient Laurel Canyon and Ventura location and plenty of parking in the back, this CVS is my choice between the two that are virtually across the street from each other. Why is there another one right across the street? I have no idea but I like to imagine them at war with one another. This one has better parking because you're not competing with as many other strip mall stores and has all the standard amenities laid out fairly well. The staff is friendly and helpful and the store is open 24 hours which is always a good thing. The pharmacy staff is genuine and helpful. They take their time with customers which is tough if there's a line, but nice if you're the person they are attending to. I'd prefer good customer service to unfriendly rush jobs. Something else to mention is, creepy people can often be found wandering the aisles and panhandling outside. But the panhandlers are harmless and the weirdos can be entertaining so try to make the most of it and maybe do your good deed for the day on your way out. read more

One of the friendliest CVS's I have ever been to. I came here three times on my recent trip to LA as we were staying on the hill here and its the closest store. AS Lious CK says "CVS sometimes you gotta come in here" Each time I was greated and asked if I needed any help! They have bathrooms and a water fountain, it is well stocked and if you ever need paper those receipts and coupons can be multi-feet long! Also, note there wine selection here is much larger than others I have been to. Something weird about this one is there is another across the street!!!! How is this a thing? Parking lot can be busy and one time I had to wait for someone to leave to get one, depends on the time of the day. A LOT of other shops nearby. read more

Being that I live so close to this location, this is my go-to convenience store. Open 24 hours a day, this is a very convenient convenience store, with free ample parking in back, though I usually just walk here. Offering a decent enough selection of cheap enough beer, this CVS gets the job done for last minute occasions. With products ranging from cleaning supplies, basic groceries, clothing, plants, and toiletries, this store has all of your basic necessities covered. It also has a wide variety of wines and hard alcohol, for those that are wondering. This spot is roughly average in terms of size, when compared to other CVS stores I've been to. The cashiers are generally nice, but service here is not normally as quick and efficient as I'd like. Lines get long, and they often seem understaffed. I wish they would hire just a couple more people. The bathrooms are also pretty unattractive and dirty, making it a bad option to do your business. My last complaint about this place is that many products and aisles are not fully stocked. They are usually out of some of the products I'm looking for, and I have to go with some lesser-desired options. All in all, this place is A-OK. I will be back out of lack of better options and its sheer convenience. Go ahead and give this place a try if you find yourself in the area looking for something basic like a sewing kit. I am trying to find the sunblock my daughter has used for over 30 years. On-line, three CVS stores near me carry it. But, I wrote down the wrong location and came to this CVS on the south west corner of Ventura and Laurel Canyon. That being said, this store has a large selection of sun block, but not the one I was looking for. However, the store clerk was very helpful, taking me to the various displays and then checking the inventory to confirm other CVS locations where I might find the particular lotion I needed. I will try the other stores tomorrow. This is a very clean, well ventilated store and I felt very safe, healthwise. Should I need to go to a CVS in the future, I will come here. read more

After being on hold off and on for 45 minutes with an urgent rx need, I credit team member Laura at the front of store who went above and beyond to take my name and phone number back to the pharmacy. I greatly appreciate that level of customer service. I still have not been called! Have always had less than satisfactory experiences at this pharmacy - slow, unresponsive and constant confusion and lack of accuracy when receiving and approving my Rx with my doctors. The CVS is Glendale, Burbank and Sonoma have never been a problem! In fact they have been awesome. This pharmacy has never worked smoothly and efficiently for some reason. Kyla has to be the most model worker I've ever seen. -Was extremely slow with the customers before me, almost deliberate it seemed. Kept shooting angry glances at each customer's arrival. -Had the lane closed sign blocking the conveyor belt. Might seem unreasonable to mention this but as a former cashier at CVS: this just looks unprofessional and stupid. -Dropped my 12 pack of soda on the counter like it's not a big deal. -Seemed to be confused I'd need everything bagged despite me using a cane. Guess she has a third hand stashed somewhere. Acted annoyed by having to bag my 12 pack and dropped it a second time. -Rudely informed me I can't use coupons between names on my account, like I don't know that, even if I didn't, why be rude about it? -Top all of this off she asked me if I could take my basket back to the stand at the front of the store with an attitude like she's my boss. Is that not YOUR job Kyla? Am I holding a bag in one hand and using a cane to lean on? Yes? Well, time to walk 10 feet to earn that $11/hour. I don't know who was answering the phones yesterday September 1- but quite literally the meanest, rudest woman was working that day. After I asked whether my refill was ready she said something to the effect of "what do you want me to do about it?" And she also said she didn't know how to work her computer, and asked me if I would call another CVS for her- to train her how to work her systems. She made it seem like it was my fault she hasn't been trained on the job- and made it very clear she did not want to be working there or helping people. This is my favorite CVS. All the people that work there are friendly and helpful. I've seen some reviews on locked up toothpaste. Sadly people steal, so you wait a couple of minutes to get it . I'll take friendly helpful people over a slight inconvenience any day. The pharmacy is the best. I have been going there about 7 years and feel I know all the people in the pharmacy . It can get busy but they pull it off with dignity and caring. My name can be misspelled a lot. But some of the people already know me when I come up to the checkout. The pharmacist uses different guidelines for doling out Covid boosters than the CVS corporation uses online for Covid vaccine registration. During the online registration, users are asked whether they have tested positive in the last 14 days - if so, you must wait for your Covid shot/booster - but the short male pharmacist with short dark hair at this CVS told me that he wouldn't administer booster shot until after three months had passed after testing positive. Sure, I'd already completed my online registration and CVS had confirmed my appointment, and there I was waiting, but this guy, this pharmacist clearly knows better than the CVS corp. If he was abiding by CVS guidelines for shot administration, then CVS should clearly state those guidelines during online registration as not to waste anyone's time, but that's not the case -- this pharmacist walks to the beat of his own drum. There are about 50 appointments for shots/boosters available per day, most of which are not filled... so all of these shots are going to waste but kudos to the "professional opinion" of the pharmacist for finding an effective way to hoard the vaccine and promote the spread of Covid and waste everybody's time. read more

I came in for feminine products and when this location didn't have the brand I was looking for, I decided to head to the next location. As I'm exiting, I'm looking for a restroom on the way out. As I spot the manager opening it for a customer and seeing another one available, I shout across , " Excuse me, trying to get an employee attention that's opening a restroom. He acts as if he can't hear me and keeps walking away as I repeatedly say excuse me to get his attention. Someone at a further distance, A younger lady says " I will help you. I say, "Oh wow, so you heard me but apparently he didn't. This unprofessional incompetent employee name is Joe. Joe was very rude and even rude to the employee he was working with. His attitude was crappy and an awful representation of the company. If joe does not enjoy working for CVS and being an employee to a huge company maybe Joe doesn't need to work for this company and bring the energy down with his rude energy and his ability to be a professional representation. Maybe Joe doesn't feel like he gets paid enough to listen to every customer request. That's not good. Joe works for a company he doesn't own and is making it look horrible with his unprofessional behavior. Looks like this location needs to do better smh . Maybe start with having a conversation with Joe. Luckily I won't be back here but other people like me who do not appreciate terrible customer service will. Honestly the worst pharmacy I've been to. I switched a year ago, but had to come back because my pharmacy that I love is being remodeled. It is systemically understaffed. Very few of the pharmacists provide good customer service. Especially the ones who seem to be "in charge". Multiple I've gone in and have found out that they haven't processed prescriptions that my doctor sent in days prior. There seems to be an INCREDIBLE amount of miscommunication at this pharmacy. We love this CVS, and have been coming here for years. We fill all of our prescriptions at this pharmacy, and everyone is always friendly, patient, and professional. A special group of people. This afternoon, my partner went in to pick up some prescriptions, and was told by Maria that he could get not just a flu shot here, but also another vaccine that he needed. Writing this review ONLY for Tomik. I was in pain after a medical procedure and needed some high powered drugs my doctor had prescribed. I had been to FIVE other pharmacies in the area where the pharmacists were rude and very unhelpful. I was at my wit's end when I arrived at this CVS. Despite being the only pharmacist on duty during the graveyard shift, Tomik was managing a number of customers at the same time. When it was my turn, he took the time to listen to my complaints, concerns, and questions as well as offer solid advice. I've never been to this CVS location before, but I will ensure I go back during Tomik's shifts because he is that good. read more

AWFUL. JUST AWFUL. After my extrabucks rewards, my bill came to $7.75, I handed Josh, the "manager," $7.00 and fished around my bag for the $.75 because I didn't want to break a $5.00 bill. But when I didn't have the change, I gave him another $5.00, giving him a total of $12.00... and he gave me $.25. When I told him I gave him another five, he denied it, said it was only one dollar. I told him to check the video... instead he counted his drawer and came back that he was only $2.00 off. Well, given his drawer was $2.00 off, doesn't that say Josh can't count change back? Something's wrong with this store, as this isn't the first time Josh didn't know what the hell he was doing; he's closed the store early, and isn't around when he's needed. Fire this bad employee, he's stealing money from customers. I'm appalled and disgusted that this store thinks they're putting out good customer service; I called the CVS across the street, looking for a regional manager; the guy on the phone told me he's heard MANY complaints about this store. I needed passport photos and the only place I could think of doing that was CVS. When I arrived and saw the parking lot was full I almost gave up until someone pointed a roof top parking a block away. I parked and went to the store. Inside the lines of people were long, but once I asked about photo IDs, one of the cashier took me aside and help me with my pictures. He was able to use the Instant printing, and within 10 minutes I had my two passport pictures. It was only $13 and was in and out in no time. Thank you CVS employees for being kind and patient. Pharmacy is fine. Quick, efficient, and good customer service. Rest went downhill. Been my pharmacy since 2003 when I moved to the area. Yesterday I went to pick up my medications. Afterwards I love going up and down the aisles to see what new things they have, and to see if they have in stock what's on my mental list. I always fo that. It's obvious the security guard was following me. Then, another CVS "beauty product employee" looked at me suspiciously asking if I need anything....judgingly. First of all, I already was done purchasing something at the pharmacy. Did they not see I was already a paying customer, upon which they have all my information on file? I am not that stupid and hard up to steal anything. I don't need to be treated like that to the point of feeling uncomfortable that it spoiled my potential shopping, which is a fun pass time for me, until now. I don't know what happened there for it to come to that. But if it continues I'll transfer my scripts where anytimr I walk in don't feel unwanted and guilty for something I didn't do. read more

Couldn't be better. Had to have my Rx transferred here because the losers at Rite Aid couldn't refill my prescription for my life saving meds after a week of making me wait for it. CVS not only had it in stock, they took care of having it transferred too. Very professional and polite staff. I couldn't recommend this pharmacy more highly! Update: Sadly, after refilling my Rx's here every month for almost a year now, and I gotta say they only got it right once, which I hate to say because the people here are so nice. I'm only leaving a review because this has happened a few times... and perhaps they should fix it. I've purchashed cosmetics (eyeliner, brow pencil, lipstick) at this CVS location during separate trips/purchases. And each of these products were returned, rewrapped, and RESOLD!!! I'm talking you can clearly see the lipstick used... the brow pencil and eyeliner dull from usage! The brush end of the brow pencil had fuzz and hair in it. Completely unsanitary and a big no-no since this is cosmetics. Not sure why they consider this okay. Even if a customer opened it to test... it should no longer be repackaged and placed on the shelf. Just gross!!!! Change your policy with this CVS. It'll take just 1 person to get a really bad reaction to become a thorn in your side, understandably. read more

This review is for the pharmacy only. You will not find nicer pharmaceutical staff anywhere in this area. With a chronic health issue, you have to be very diligent about finding a good pharmacy that will be timely, not have long wait times, who actually look at potential interactions with other medications, etc and somehow do this over and over with a smile on their face and a genuine "thank you!" on your way out. While the cvs across the street is nicer on the inside, a bit fancier and has more selection (and is certainly better stocked), THIS pharm staff is just fantastic. Whereas at the other, they are pretty transparent about wishing you would just go away and let them get to their thousands of messages, this one's staff isn't just friendly. They remember my name. They get stuff done QUICKLY. You can see the sense of urgency with every customer that they speak with and never seem to get frustrated or terse with a customer which is really all too common in pharmacies and medicine in general, and for good reason: people are rude to medical staff. Mostly because it's their health they feel isn't being taken seriously but still... They're truly awful sometimes. Been there on the other side. Totally get it. So I applaud this staff and the extraordinarily on-top-of-it pharmacist for some really TOP NOTCH service. I trust them more than I have any other pharmacy I've visited, hands down. I just can't let this CVS get torn apart in reviews simply because it's not as updated as the other across the street. This one is vastly superior. read more

So this neighborhood has two CVS branches basically right across from each other, and I think this one is the better one. Here's why: -pharmacy is 24 hours. So, so needed. -it has its own parking lot instead of sharing with a ton of popular places, meaning you can actually park. -I've actually had nicer staff encounters here, and though the store doesn't have such a grandiose feel to it, they always have what I need. Fun fact: this used to be a Long's Drugs, and probably converted in the past 5 years. I'd like to think the fact that this location operated as something different before being absorbed by the Drugstore Giants gives it a little chip on its shoulder that translates into better customer service. read more

Absolutely horrible service here. I called the pharmacy and was put on hold for ten minutes, while driving there, and no answer. I walked in and there were six people in the pharmacy and barely any customers. Clearly they just do not answer the phone. I walked in to get flu shot (advertised repeatedly "get your flu shots TODAY") and they had run out of syringes. Just awful. One star because zero isn't an option. read more

I have no idea why this is across the street from another CVS. I'll just chalk it up to being in the valley. It's not as big as its adjacent counterpart, but it has the typical CVS selection. The pharmacy gets pretty busy and the line winds through the aisles in the afternoons and around midday. The shelves are well stocked though and the place is clean. The one confusing thing is the support pole that's in the middle of one of the pharmacy aisles. It blocks a lot of shelf space. Random. There is a shared parking lot in the back. The young woman working the register graciously went out of her way to show me where to find everything I needed. I was in and out in minutes which was great because I had to get back to work with those supplies ASAP. More places need customer service like this. read more
