I witnessed a staff member berated , harassing and being the rudest I have ever I my life seen a customer being treated in a store over how he was wearing his mask . Someone needs to educate these employees on civil rights and law. Your staff are not doctors and could be held legally responsible for acting as such . She was bullying a customer and refusing service to him because his mask was below his nose. CVS staff have become to mask gestapo. Last I knew an " order " was NOT LAW and a now NON emergency is NOT an excuse to violate civil rights . She doesn't know his medical health . Is this America ? Horrible service. Every time. Especially at the pharmacy section. It is as if they do everything in their power to NOT be helpful. Of course there are exceptions but most of them - especially Anush - are basically just rude. They stare at the computer with such a negative attitude, not even looking at you, as if wanting to find a reason to deny your insurance. The worst pharmacy! I have finally told my son he is not to fill prescriptions there anymore because everytime we go ? So rude. They literally talk down to people and they are also very slow and are known to screw up the prescription and just not care..They act like you are inconveniencing them. I was on my way home from work and went to pick up my son's prescription for potassium citrate.. (He is on my insurance). We have filled the very same script there before and its always a $20 co-pay. This time when I went the girl asked me if I was aware of how much it was and said it was going to cost over $200 . I said what? are you sure? She said yes You must have a deductible. I said no. Its a $20 co-pay. She said (very rudely) NO. So I pulled out out my insurance card. (which is Anthem Bluecross PPO) and I went to show it to her and asked ..Maybe something was entered wrong? Is this what you entered?..She didn't even look at the card and very rudely said...YES. That is what was entered You need to call your insurance company. So to make a long story short..Guess who was wrong? THEY WERE! Its a $20 co-pay and I will never go there again. I have made a complaint in the past and nothing is done about it. I have to agree with all the "1" and "2" star reviews. They are not at all responsive to the concept of customer service, make numerous errors, want to argue about medications about which they know nothing (and presumably patients have discussed with their physician). UGH! And BTW, betcha' that lavatory is not "out of order" at all. They just don't want to bother with the maintenance. I had that experience with a '76 gas station and called company headquarters. Magically, the lavatory was working the next time I went there, BUT...the "out of order" sign was still posted. I confronted the employee who reluctantly allowed me to use it. Waiting for service at this pharmacy is much like what I imagine sitting on death row must be like. The time moves at a snail's pace. You sit and reflect on the questionable choices you've made in your life and think about what you could have done differently. You think about all of the things you could have done with your free days instead of counting down the hours to your death. Yep, that is exactly what this pharmacy is like and sadly, I made the mistake of transferring my prescriptions here from the once reliable and lovely Rite Aid. Ugh. In the two months and 7 or so times that I have come here, I have fought the urge to go postal each and every time. I am not a violent person. I say hi to animals and even help old ladies carry groceries to their car. But here, no here, I am suddenly transported back to 1986 and feel like Patrick Sherrill!! Thing is, I understand that places are busy, people come into stores because they need things. I get how retail works, but what I don't understand is why the line never seems to move here. I look behind the counter and see 8-10 or more people on phones, at the computers, wandering back and fourth, but for some unknown reason, you're still guaranteed to lose at least 15+ minutes of your precious life waiting for your turn. Then the fun continues when you finally do reach the counter and get met with attitude. And it's not even attitude like rude attitude, although I wouldn't call it friendly, but more like, "Oh God, I am stuck here having to deal with you, why me, why God, why did I decide to work at CVS? I know nothing about anything and these people are asking me questions and I don't give a shit at all about the possible side effects of this broad's medication. Ugh, just strike me down dead now, Lord!" Kinda like that. Needless to say, I think that this will be my last month as a customer here. They've made me late far too many times when I simply popped in to pick up a prescription and if you call here, you will easily be on hold for 15-20 at any hour of the day. This is my go to pharmacy because I love shopping at CVS, it's a convenient location and so it's easy to go here if I have to pick up more than just pharmacy items. But their restroom has been out of order for like a year, this pharmacy is always so busy and runs out of a lot of medications frequently. Basically they have low inventory. If they're out of a medication and you try to wait for them to re-stock, I would just suggest taking your prescription to a different pharmacy because there's no guarantee WHEN they will re-stock on the medication you need. The CVS aside from the actual pharmacy is great! Very friendly Cvs staff aside from the pharmacy technicians. The pharmacy techs can be friendly sometimes but bc they're always so busy they tend to lack customer service. read more

Ugh....this place does not follow through. I went in on a Friday to fill a prescription. It was a change (reduction) in dosage to a medication. The insurance denied it due to the quantity and the doctor needed to be contacted again. I was told they would get to it later in the afternoon and that I would receive a text when it was completed. Later on Friday I got the text. I went in on Monday to pick up the medication. They have the incorrect dosage filled and there has been no contact with my doctor. Again, they say they will contact my doctor. I go ahead and call the doctor too, no harm in doubling up the likelihood that it gets done. Wednesday, I went in and again they have the wrong quantity filled. After 15 minutes, the issue is resolved. But seriously, why does it take 3 trips to the pharmacy to get a prescription filled? read more

I'd give this place negative stars if I could. Service is slow, inefficient and staff have no idea of what the meaning of customer service entails. We went in to pick up a prescription that was called in by the doctor 4 hrs previously. We were 2nd in line and was standing there for literally 10 minutes while the staff behind the counter were helping zero patients. Who knows what they were all doing, but apparently helping the people waiting in the growing line was not a priority. When we were finally helped, the pharmacist couldn't find the prescription and told us to come back tomorrow... With no apology. Man, glad we weren't dying... Waiting a whole day for a prescription to be filled is unacceptable on all levels. Avoid this CVS. As pharmacists, they should be aware that meds are needed to treat people's conditions and take them out of pain. People shouldn't have to suffer for their mistakes. read more

This is the nicer of the twin CVS' on Ventura. They are literally across the street from one another (wtf?!) But the other one is ghetto for some strange reason. I have not had the need to use the Pharmacy at this location so I cannot speak to that topic, however in terms of other offerings there is too much of some stuff and not enough of other things. If you want inexpensive nail products including every color in the rainbow then this is a mecca of enjoyment. There are so many brands of cosmetic items that I do not even know some of them. I do not think the management of this store understands the concept of "less is more". Alas, that was not the appointed quest for this lovely day in SoCal. Mental Note: If you are looking for emery boards tweezers, 409 or Pine Sol you are on a scavenger hunt. In the olden days when this location was a Sav-Ons it was terrific, but that is a childhood memory which can easily blur ones adult shopping peepers. Hint: If you want useful or necessary items try someplace else. Any general store without Pine Sol must have it's home office on a different planet. read more

I've been going to this store off and on for years now, but today I experienced really poor customer service. I filled a prescription at the pharmacy and they close at 6pm. I was in the store by 6:01pm and to the pharmacy by 6:02pm and THEY WOULD NOT SERVE ME. Everyone was still in the pharmacy, behind the security doors. I've worked in a CVS pharmacy before. If a customer showed up and we were still there, we would make sure they got their prescription, period. I'm going elsewhere for my prescriptions. read more

This location is horribly organized. I gave also been here 3 different times once a week and they had no cotton balls those times. Also similar items where spread out in different locations. Is this pharmacy a 5 star, no of course not. But it's also nowhere near as bad as some of the reviews make it sound.... if you do what you're supposed to, and call in your order ahead of time, or wait in line patiently and not think that your time is more important than everyone else's, then you may have a pleasant experience at THIS location. Remember, kindness goes a long way! I gave three stars for a couple reasons. 1.) they do frequently run out of common medications. is this the end of the world? no...most of the time its my fault for waiting until the end of the week to call in my refill....or, sometimes its just the fact that we live in Studio City and Studio City alone has over 34,000 residents. 2.) There was an instance a few months back when a pharmacy tech asked me a question about one of my medications out loud, and by name. I thought that kind of rubbed me the wrong way. 3.) parking sucks, but thats not their fault Other than these LIFE CHANGING reasons, this CVS is pretty clean and well stocked. I went in to pick up my son's prescription and they said it was $1000. I said that wasn't possible because he has insurance. Not possible ! My son has had insurance under his fathers plan for years and gets this medicine every month . I told them that they must not have processed the insurance correctly and they completely ignored me. I went back and forth with them . They kept insisting he no longer had coverage. To make a long story short, I called the insurance company. The pharmacy DID indeed file the insurance INCORRECTLY and I finally got his medicine. They are just awful there. Let me add that the Pharmacist refuses to speak to you. She will speak to someone else who then in turn tells you what she is saying because she purposely speaks in a different language. She won't even glance at you in acknowledgment. HORRIBLE PHARMACY!!! Extremely rude pharmacy staff. I received a text message stating that my medications were ready for pickup. On Sunday when I'm there to pick them up they stare that the medications are on hold and need a prior authorization. Yet no one informed me or contacted my doctors office regarding this. When I asked why they didn't let me know or contact my MD office the girl laughed and said that they have 36000 patients and don't have time for "little shit like that"!!!!!! When I asked to speak with the manager she said that the pharmacy manager is not there and "come some other day"!!!! The pharmacy tech Lara, told me "maybe things are done differently in your country, but here we do it like this"...mind you she said it in a thick Eastern European/Russian accent!!!! Will never go back to this CVS ever again!! They need diversity training and customer service training! A whole new set of staff would be to prefer as this was not the first time they were rude to me or messed up my prescriptions! read more

I don't know what to say. I've always loved CVS, generally for their customer service which I've always found to be great. However, I have to give special thanks to CVS - Studio City - 12143 Ventura Blvd. I lost my wallet and figured it was gone, but I had used it last at CVS 24 hours previously. I went back on the off-chance, and their security guard, David, who I've always noticed to be upbeat and pleasant during this difficult time, which is a real skill whilst everyone else is so tense. Anyway, he found my wallet OUTSIDE of CVS and brought it in, and put it in the safe even though he didn't know me. It was just a good thing to do. When I came in he was just the best, refused my tip, and seemed genuinely happy just to have helped someone. I mean, what is better than that? Thank you David and thank you CVS. Superstars who made my weekend and restored my faith in people. We can all do that if we want, and just imagine if we did. read more

The store is fine. However the pharmacy here is so unprofessional, inappropriate, and nothing but a bunch of liars!!!! This is why I relocated to another pharmacy. My new pharmacist called and verified all my current prescriptions, and the cvs pharmacist insisted I no longer have any refills. Wow!!! All liars!! I even drove down to show my new pharmacist the paperwork showing proof I have refills but CVS pharmacy still insisted I no longer have prescriptions to transfer. I hope this location gets an entire new staff or just closes!!! There is another one across the street. Good luck to anyone getting any medicine here. You will end up in a long line, still be told your medicine isn't ready and your insurance is no longer valid. Make you go back to the "drop off" line because they don't want to deal with you. She: $8.99 for 2. Me: But I need like 10. [I need visas for several countries.] She: They're 29 cents after the first 2. Me: No matter how many get? She: Yeah, you can get as many as you like. Me: Great, thanks! I get to the store and the guy at the photo dept. takes my photos and I tell him I want 10. Me: They're 29 cents each after the first 2, right? He: No. They're $8.99 for every 2. Me: But I called earlier and the woman said that it was 29 cents each after the first 2. He: What was her name? Me: I don't know. I assumed she knew what she was talking about since she works here. I didn't think I needed her name. He: They're 29 cents for 4 x 6 prints, not passport photos. Me: Well, that sucks because I didn't go to this other place because the price she quoted me was cheaper. And now I don't have time to go there because I have to get this visa application off. He: [shrugs, looks at me blankly, thinks to himself, WTF do you want me to do about it, biatch? You think I like working here and dealing with assholes like you complaining all the time? No. I'd rather be home smoking pot and watching TV. Now are you going to get the g-ddamn pictures or what?] Me: Just give me the f**ing pictures. I've been gong to this CVS for over 10 yrs....They recently got a new pharmacist and her customer service skills are AWFUL! Twice she got my prescription wrong and she tried blaming it on my doctor! how ridiculous is that!!? I hate it when people are dishonest and don't own up to their mistakes and to get it wrong twice!? Every time I go here I'm always let down with the staff. Now I understand that the job probably sucks, but there is no reason to invoke their misery on the customer. Now this last time was just absurd. There was a line of about 10 or so people, I was at the end. A woman comes over to help ring through people (Dressed Manager-ish). A guy in the parking lot scammed an older relative of mine for money claiming he was hit by their car but he would forgive it for $50 and wouldn't call the police. I also had a relative who's car was broken into at the CVS across the street. These parking lots at Laurel and Ventura are not secure and are very dangerous. I really dislike this pharmacy. Everyone in the family was sick and our doctors called in antibiotics for us. We picked one up but they said there was No other scripts called in. It was Christmas Day so we didn't want to harass our doctor. We basically suffered through the day and the next day out doctor said he had called it in and when I went in again they said the script had been put on hold, without any explanation but that they would fill it. Why wouldn't they tell me that when I went in the first time. Our illness holidays continue and now I'm here to fill my own antibiotic prescription and they don't have it in stock so I have to go to another pharmacy, but it took 30 minutes to reach this conclusion. There are 5 ppl working... No excuse for this total lack of efficiency. read more
