PHARMACY REVIEW - This is the worst CVS I've ever been to. The pharmacy department is so slow. They are rude and don't explain things to the patients. They are so slow to refill a prescription. When you go for a prescription, give yourself 30-45 minutes! Sometimes even an HOUR! I really wish I was exaggerating. They need to do something different soon. read more

This is a hard place to rate because every area needs a local name brand pharmacy. I think it is great that they are 24 hours because it makes it beyond convenient when one needs to go out and buy juice, cat food, and some ice cream. The store is 1 star and the convenience is 5 stars. The issue with this place is that it gets messy and dirty. The staff is not the best and there is never a live human being at the register. I understand self check out and self check out is a wonderful thing. The issue is when everything is self check out, that essentially makes the "customer" the "employee". I am not an employee of CVS, so why am i bagging my own stuff? Not to mention, if i am bagging my own stuff, why is it so expensive? If I am eliminating the job of a CVS employee, that means the company is saving money, which in turns means they can lower the prices on all their items, but they don't. Customers are not dumb and everyone knows the logic behind this. This place is only worth coming in when there is a sale. Besides that it does not have the nicest atmosphere and some of the clientele is questionable. I mean seriously questionable as in "are you employed or homeless?". I see some of the craziest characters come in here and it makes me worried. Not to mention, once i came here and went home with a severe rash all over my body that could only be cured with penicillin. I seriously believe i touched something at this store that some diseased homeless person rubbed on one of their items and i touched it while browsing the store and got severely sick for over a week. Okay, so after experiencing Rite Aid at Greenpoint, I've got to up the rating at CVS, regardless of the rude attitude I got for returns. At least at this CVS, you can kind of avoid zombiefied staff (they seem slightlyh happier here?) and annoying customers through the self check out. read more

If only Yelp can allow us to give 0 stars. I went into this CVS hoping to buy a treat. As I looked at the line for the registers there weren't many people waiting. As a matter of fact some self service station were empty! Unfortunately, this one short girl said I needed to get in line. I thought why? I said it was too long and placed the candy back on shelf. That CVS employee copped an attitude. As I left, she said, "sorry!" in a loud and unprofessional voice. I wonder sometimes the type of people they hire. People like that don't deserve to work at CVS. The asian lady in the glasses and a hispanic girl with glasses. Ive been snapped at for asking a simple question. The store barely has any products. The only reason why i would come to this cvs is because its the closest drugstore to my house but thats not even a good enough reason either. Worst ever. read more

I love that this CVS is open 24/7 - I work late and sometimes need to pick up random items (or a treat) late at night. The hours of operation do not make up for the fact that the staff is nonexistent and/or completely incompetent. Keep purchased simple and to a minimum. Use the self check out, it's not worth it to wait and try to talk to one of the humans who works here. read more

Worst pharmacy I have ever been to. They refuse to fill prescriptions for lousy reasons. They just waste your time. I have not been able to get refill on important medications. They say insurance is rejecting it as the insurance rep tells me over the phone it is covered! Then the other medication they just didn't fill it for no reason. read more

For as many people who work at this location, there never seems to be anyone available to truly help you. I have never been to a pharmacy that is so resistant to providing medication to their clients. The main pharmacist really loves to argue with customers and drives many of them away, I have seen this reoccur over the last several years with many people. Personally, my most recent experience was trying to get my medication (a cough tussin) after a very serious ER visit. The horrible main pharmacist does NOT like to provide prescribed medications, although it is her job to do so. I do not recommend this CVS location, there are much better places to get your RXs in Sunnyside. read more

It's a good store to have right next to the 40th Street 7 train stop, and I get all my prescriptions there. I like that they pretty much have the necessities you can't always count on finding at mom and pop shops, and the pharmacy stays open late enough to where you don't have to rush to get there. Most of the pricing is reasonable. The store staff outside of the pharmacy is pretty worthless, though. It doesn't take much to buy too many groceries to carry them home in their small plastic bags in a practical manner, and the person I spoke to claimed not to have any larger bags I could use so that I could actually have a bag that fit my four-count package of paper towels. It just doesn't make sense that you sell common household goods but don't also have shopping bags large enough to carry them. read more

I love this place because its so convenient for me since I live around the corner. I love that its 24 hrs and they usually have everything I need. This store doesn't have many registers open since its all pretty much self check out which doesnt bother me. They is always someone near by in case you need help or have a question. I do find that this pharmacy is a little more expensive then other pharmacies but I guess I cant complain since I'm also paying for convenience. read more

I usually go to CVS since I can get my prescriptions at the pharmacy here while shopping for small things. I haven't gone in awhile since I go to deals. I prefer deals since they have better prices. But CVS is opened 24 hours which is a plus for a drug store. read more

I went here to use the photo machine and after like 20 minutes of trying to make it work I was told it worked and waited another 20 minutes before finding out the machine was actually broken. Photo department really needs help. Staff was helpful, but how can they work with such a horrible department? The computers dont even work. The touch screens are broken. Talk about falling off a cliff. I don't know if it's new management or pandemic fatigue or plain incompetence, but both service and cohesion no longer exist at this CVS. I have been coming here for 13 years, but will be changing pharmacies. Lines have been out of control whether at the normal register or pharmacy. At the pharmacy, there are 10 people there, no coordinating, getting prescriptions wrong and staring at you blankly. They never answer the phone, even if it's from the hospital. We feel that they are hiring their children's friends to work there and do not have any experience with pharmaceuticals. My fiancee went to pick up some medication for her private areas, but after a half hour wait, the cashier sent her over the the consultation area. The gentleman with red hair and glasses got aggravated, went to get her medicine, he was unsure what it was for and made repeated finger gestures for it's usage down there. What happened Sunnyside CVS? No organization or professionalism. I guess it's Rite Aid or Walgreens for us. read more

The Pharmacy in this cvs is horrible . If I could give it a zero i would . When you have a prescription called in and you go to pick it up 3 days later. They tell you it's not ready . THAT'S A PROBLEM !! also try calling , waiting 45 mins and no one picks up the phone . Refilling meds by phone also a mess . Meds are never ready when they say . Have to wait an additional 30-45 mins for them to fill medication order . Beyond frustrated with the management of this cvs !! read more

Do not go here for photo printing needs. Each time I have ordered photo prints for same day pick up, I walk all the way to the store and am told the printer is broken and the photos won't be ready until at least tomorrow afternoon, no courtesy call or email to notify me about the delay either. read more

I just took my son for a late afternoon stroll to the nearby CVS, which is 3 blocks away from where we live. I bought miscellaneous items that amounted to $50, but the lack of customer service made my experience 'priceless'!!!! The store was crowded, and all customers were waiting to pay at the self checkout registers. ALL staff was behind the register counter but not one of them was actually ringing any customers, except for one who was checking out another store employee. I had to wait behind that employee for her to not only pay for the purchase but to also run in the back of the store to grab something else that she wanted to purchase but had forgotten. After I asked if any of the cash registers are open so I can pay for my purchase, the girl behind this register said 'I guess I am...', implying that she has not choice but ring my purchase since she was already doing it for the cvs employee. All good with that, except that after I swiped my card to pay, I asked if there is a pen for the credit card machine so that I can sign.. And the store employee whom I had just waited behind for passed by and answered very sarcastically ' it is touchscreen'. In fact, it was pretty visible that the machine used to have a plastic pen attached to it that was now missing. I had to use my fingernail to sign. I was visibly upset over her almost derogatory comment ( like I was blind or stupid not to realize that the pos was touchscreen), I asked to speak with the manager, who couldn't care less about the lack of professionalism and customer service. He only said 'I'll talk to them,' but did not apologize and allowed the rude employee to continue talking back at me in the same fashion. I find this very disrespectful for the entire cvs brand and for its customers. I will have no issue whatsoever to complain about this further up and explain how badly such employee behavior reflects on the entire store. Obviously, going back there is the last thing I want to do. read more

I use to go to this CVS to shop for products like all the time. Recently I stopped going there after a confrontation with one of the customers. At this CVS their lines for checkout is NOT organized. There is 1 line for EVERYTHING the self checkout AND the cashier checkout. There's also someone there to monitor the lines but clearly isn't good at it. So one night I was waiting behind a customer at the cashier checkout to pick up my photos when another customer waiting on the line (which I assumed was for self-checkout ONLY) showed me a nasty attitude that I wasn't standing on the right line and to go behind her. I thanked her nicely and waited patiently behind 2 customers on the line...Long story short we actually ended up having an argument and things would have gone worst but I just calmed down and let it go. What I'm upset about is that the cashier should've told me "Ma'am this is not the line please go wait over there. There are others ahead of you" NO he didn't care he clearly saw me waiting for him and didn't say anything! The line monitor boy also wasn't paying attention!!!!! Also when there was a separate line starting to form front of the cashier check out he still wasn't doing anything!!! UNTIL I TOLD HIM EXCUSE ME I THOUGHT THIS WAS THE LINE FOR EVERYTHING?!?! Then he was like yes it is, that is when he went over to the other side to tell the customers that, that is not the check out line. The management needs to do something about this. They need to keep the checkout lines more organized. read more

If you need to buy cosmetics or over-the-counter medications, this place is fine. But if you need to fill a prescription, this is the WORST pharmacy in the area. Be prepared to stand in a long line just to be told that your medication isn't ready (even though they texted you to say it was). They will make you wait up to an hour just to give you an incomplete order, because the medication you need the most "is coming in tomorrow's shipment." The next day you go and they'll tell you that the medication didn't arrive, or that there's a shortage of it in the whole of New York!!! Eventually you realize they will not fill the prescription for you, and so you'll have to take it elsewhere after wasting a few days. They weren't always like this, but their clientele grew and they obviously couldn't handle the volume. They seem understaffed, and the staff, overworked, aren't exactly friendly or helpful. read more

This place is worth no stars at all. The employees who works there are arrogant and straight up stuck in the a**. They have so much attitude problem. The stuffs are all over the place. I went there to print pictures through the kiosk. After spending almost 20minutes selecting the pictures and proceeding through the online checkout, the machine said it's out of paper. I ask the employee and this young girl says the machine is not working. In asking why didn't somebody inform me all this time, her answer: well you should have asked. I go to this CVS several times a week. It's convenient because it's right off the 40th Street subway stop and it's open 24 hours. I think the store is a bit disorganized but at least they are usually fully stocked. Another reviewer said items are never priced correctly and I noticed that today as well. The customer service is a hit or miss. During the day the employees seem very helpful but the ones working late don't seem to care about their job. read more
