Change the name to "Jeremy's Pharmacy"! I am a Concierge in LIC, going on 16 years in June, and I have seen quite a few businesses come and go during my tenure. Vernon Pharmacy is the standard. Attentive, respectful, courteous and always helpful. Particularly Jeremy. Now when I call I yell, "it's your fave pain in the a**!" Vernon Blvd Pharmacy is a mom and pop shops from the original LIC. They have been in business for over 30 years. The staff are all very friendly and will accommodate you. Besides waiting for your medications to be filled they have other stuff around the shop. They have a small slection of things like creams, shampoo, cards, medical supplies and much more. They do have a notary now which is cool and you can also make copies here. They are right up the block from the 7 train which makes it convenient.The only downside is that with the area growing with so many people it is hard to find parking. But the plus is that they are so nice they will bring the medication to your car. Great customer service. They also will call you if they notice that there is an interaction with a medication that you are taking. The pharmacist and pharmacy techs know what they are doing as well as the people who work the register. Chances are they will take your insurance since they take most insurances. Its nice to have an old school long island city spot still in the area. read more

Their hours are tough (9-6pm, and they kind of open more like 9:30am) but they will let you fax in your Rx form and they delivery for free, so I can't complain! a man and pop pharmacy in long island city that may not be as big or stocked like the big chain types but has that personal care and touch the big boys dont. simple small pharmacy with enough of the a to z stuff to suit your needs, i personally come here as they have a over the counter soothing throat candy that is great and all the credit goes to my cuz who recommend them suckers(literally). nice friendly family pharmacy in queens. just like the good old days before cvs , walgreens, etc. read more

Always helpful, notifies you of any price related increases or whether you can use a generic brand which is often more budget friendly. Had an issue once where my I needed ran out of medicine while I was traveling and they happily express mailed it me! That would have never happened with CVS or Duane Reade. I've never been treated so nicely and thoughtfully. This is the kind of place that answers the phone when you call, and tells you how late they are open without having to ask. Vernon Blvd Pharmacy is the absolute best pharmacy I've ever dealt with! My insurance requires that I use the name brand of a certain medication and I love that Vernon Blvd Pharmacy can always get it for me. With Duane Reade and CVS, every time I tried to fill my prescription, it was either that I needed to wait for days so that they could get the medication in stock or they would give me a hard time about needing to fill at a different location each time. Not with Vernon Blvd Pharmacy; if I call a day ahead, they make sure to have it in stock for when my doctor sends the prescription over. I also love that they deliver to my building. They are super nice and a reminder of why it's important to support local small businesses. read more

Service like this does not exist anymore except at Vernon Pharmacy. Every time I have had a problem, this pharmacy takes care of it. They get on the phone with insurance companies and my doctors and do whatever it takes for me to get my medication. Once I had a manager from Vernon Pharm on the phone with my insurance company for an hour sorting out my Rx nonsense. I am thankful to have them in my neighborhood. Love the folks at Vernon Blvd Pharmacy! As the previous poster mentioned, this is a family establishment, and they definitely provide really friendly, individual service and great care. If I ever have any questions on my prescriptions or payment, the pharmacists take extra time to follow up on all the details to make sure everything is set for me. They also offer free delivery, so I often call things in & have them delivered if I don't have time to stop by during store hours. Although the store itself is small & they don't have a huge stock/selection, they have a warehouse where they can order items to be sent in. I try to shop here for all my meds & drugstore items rather than the behemoth Duane Reade in the nabe. read more

When my wife and I moved to LIC 18 years ago we agreed to patronize local, independent businesses and merchants as much as we could. We started with Vernon pharmacy and have been rewarded with excellent and timely service from every individual on the staff. They will deliver your prescriptions any day that they are open, regardless of the weather and without charge. Since parking spots are at a premium on this block , they have actually sent a staff member out with my prescriptions and delivered them to me as I waited in my car. It is so nice to return to an independently-owned pharmacy, which bent over backwards to make sure my to fill my myriad prescriptions in a timely manner AND deliver the remaining qualities with no delivery fee (which I think is part of their standard service). I used to come here 7 years ago. There is the same personalized service. I am allergic to cats, but their cat grew on me. read more

I usually go to chain stores for my prescriptions but decided to try this pharmacy out and I'm so glad I did. The customer service at the larger stores is nothing like what you will find at this pharmacy. The staff was very accommodating and friendly. The regular items that they sell in their store tend to be a little less expensive than other drugstores as well. Although I didn't use the delivery service, it's a nice to know that they have it available. read more

I've been a customer here for years and years. I haven't seen Josh for quite some time and suspect he has retired. The staff is now very unprofessional. Today, my doctor called in a prescription for me. Four hours later, I went to pick it up, and the staff asked me to wait "for ten minutes." I then had to listen to them voice their political opinions at the top of their lungs. "Hamas is evil. Israel has to do what it's doing," etc., etc. They went on and on and on. Totally unprofessional. Very stressful. They then told me to come back in an hour. Maybe if they stopped blaring their political opinions, they could actually get work done and I wouldn't have to wait for my prescription. The counterperson, Flora, is always polite, but from now on, I'm getting prescriptions filled at Duane Reade, where I won't have to listen to political rants--and they'll fill my prescription without delay. read more
