This CVS location is particularly friendly and efficient. They seem to retain employees giving off that "neighborhood vibe" that makes Tallahassee feel like home. Their photo department is excellent. If you're dissatisfied with pictures they will happily reprint but I find it's usually unnecessary. They've cut pharmacy hours but keep hours extensive enough for reasonable availability not to mention there's a 24 hour location nearby. Their makeup department offers assistance worthy of note, I've saved a lot of money switching to quality drugstore brands (yes, there is such a thing!) because they always seem to have a talented makeup person available that can help choose foundation colors, eyeliners etc. Love having a neighborhood pharmacy! read more

Drive thru can be frustrating. While there are 2 lanes there is not equal handling of who is next. I appreciate the pharmacists help and prefer to go inside now. When I went through this day I was waiting in the 2nd lane quite a while and when the person in the first lane pulled away instead of helping me they helped the next person in the closer lane. read more

This place has the rudest male pharmacist who is also quite proud of himself. refused to take a transfer from my regular CVS in Killearn which had already been sent by the pharmacist there as they were closing. I had prepaid CVS Killearn already. Easy-Peasy right? No... Mr Weber AKA the Pharmacist Manager stated I did not pay" HIS Store"so I would have to go outside my insurance and pay 5x the price I had already paid to CVS Killearn.Or wait until am and go to Killearn CVS he sneered. Would not even look at my receipt showing I already paid for the medicine online via CVS app. So my senior Citizen self with elevated blood pressure and Parkinsons went without until I could get to Publix in the AM where they are so kind.. I just want to bring to attention that during these hard times, employees are scarce. With that in mind, I was able to get a vaccine without a struggle. I was thankful for the medical staff there and did not mind waiting an hour after my appointment. That being said, there were a lot of boxes all around the store full of merchandise or empty. This seemed as a safety hazard because they made halls a lot more difficult to navigate. Bathrooms were clean and open. read more

This is the only 24 hour drug store close to my house, so it automatically gets 5 stars for that fact. The staff that is there in the evening to late evening is really friendly. I have never had to get any pharmacy items here personally, which also plays into the 5 star rating (I used to use CVS as my pharmacy in Tallahassee years ago but had too man run-ins so I avoided using them at all costs). They have a pretty wide selection of household necessities as well. read more

I have had all bad experiences with this pharmacy. Oh how I wish Walgreens would began taking my families insurance again. They are better trained in customer service. Even the pharmacist, JIM McKINNELL acts like customers are bothering him. He's very unnecessarily arrogant. Made me feel very bad when I'm already feeling bad because of ailments. Not that I need him to feed my self esteem, but he desperately needs customer service training.  He has a nasty attitude. Not sure if he is bringing his home/ personal life to work with him, but he needs to be trained to leave that at the door if so.. I dread having to go in there and be helped by him. I almost want to put the person behind me in front of me hoping that I will be helped by someone else. I just might transfer to the nearest CVS and drive there to get away. I can't say ALL, but MOST, of the employees there are very unpleasant. Especially the lead team. As soon as I can, Walgreens, here I come. I cant stand CVS. read more

CVS Pharmacy is using their regular drive-thru for Covid testing. They are exposing every customer to this deadly virus. No PPE enforcement or other disinfecting is being preformed outside in the drive thru lane. I am very concerned about the fact that CVS is conducting Covid-19 testing in the same drive-thru lane as they are servicing customer's prescription needs. I went to pick up RX drugs on 6-23-2020 at the 5466 Thomasville Rd Tallahassee location. I was behind 4 vehicles in a row that entered the drive thru for Covid testing. They were in front of me using the exact same area, touching the drive-up drawer as they picked up the test kit and instructions. Each Covid customer took approx 10-15 minutes to self test as the CVS employee explained the details over the microphone while the person was sitting in their car doing a selftest. The people coming to CVS to be tested either have symptoms or they think they may have been exposed. I saw a really sick lady hanging out her car window trying to self test. No CVS employee was administering the test. They sent the test kit through the drive up drawer for the person in the car coughing nonstop with their car window down and less than a foot away from the drive thru drawer. The drawer was extended the entire time The tester remained in their car for at least 10-15 min before they dropped the completed kit in another container. I cannot believe CVS expects the next customer to use the window after what I witnessed! The lady was so sick coughing and contaminating the entire area. No one is wearing the required PPE. I was horrified watching the process and left the drive thru immediately.To expect a customer picking up their RX meds to use the same area that another customer that may have the Covid virus is creating a high risk for cross contamination and beyond a logical safe health environment.All the pictures that I have seen of Covid testing sites, the tester comes to the car wearing complete PPE covering from head to toe. Please CVS.... stop using your drive thru for testing!! read more

I dropped off my prescriptions I had just got from the MD less than two weeks ago. There were two pages of them. They filled one and said they would hold the others until I need them. Now they can't find them. One is a class (c) drug. How could they fill one and can't find the others? Are they giving this to someone illegally and telling me they can't find it. Don't they make copies of the prescriptions? Same thing happened in Thomasville, GA which is why I switched pharmacies. This is inexcusable and possibly illegal. This pharmacy is in Tallahassee, FL. Jim McKinnell is the best pharmacist I've ever met! He's kind, thorough and conscientious and goes the extra mile to make sure I've got the right medication at the best price. I know some people that work at CVS pharmacies and it is NOT a nice place to work. The working conditions are downright awful, but Jim rises above it and does an outstanding job anyway. Worst pharmacy EVER! These people are so disorganized. They said it would be 2 hours before the script was ready, I go back in 3 hours they say 25 minutes longer. Then 20 min they come tell me they don't have it in stock. I will NEVER spend one cent here ever again. This pharmacy is a joke! I was not the only one having issues here at the time. read more
