WHY does this store say it's open 24 hrs when it's not? They need to update their hours. Ridiculous too drive out here for nothing!

I really only go to CVS when other stores are closed & this CBS is 24 hours so you always need it b in the middle of the night

The nightshift store manager lacks a soul. I've been a loyal customer since moving to the South Bay and this CVS has been my default drugstore as it is usually well-kempt, well-stocked, with good deals and open 24/7. So I was really surprised when I recently had a run-in with the night-time manager. The manager is a bald, standoffish old man I always see working there who never really smiles or talks much. I never personally had a problem with him until he refused to honor a few BOGO items during a recent sale that ended at 12 AM, even though I'd walked in and had them in my basket before 11. He told me I should have checked the date when I walked in. But I ask him how I am expected to do so when many of the sale tags have no visible date stamps on them!? No apology or anything, and I'm pretty sure as the store manager he could have given me the deal if he wanted to. Instead he just looked at me like GO AWAY LITTLE GIRL, YOU ANNOY ME. He even said he saw me earlier in the aisle with the sale items and changed the prices back to non-sale RIGHT AFTER I left the aisle. What a DECK!!! Until the bitter old bloke retires, I think I will try Rite-Aid down the street. read more

Overpriced and understaffed -- but 3 stars from me for the mere fact that they are one of the few businesses in the South Bay still open 24 hours! I don't use the pharmacy as I don't take presciption meds... when I had questions about over the counter meds in the middle of the night, they were unhelpful and seemed annoyed, so not good. What IS good at CVS are the nuts! But only their house brand and only on sale, then it's time to stock up. House brand Vitamin C cough drops are great in the family size bag. If you need milk or cereal or a pain killer at 3am, they WILL be open and that's worth something. read more

I come to this one to cash my coins at coinstar. This one can get crowded and the line to check out can get long due to only having one or two cashiers. Sometimes there is only one cashier and sometimes no one else comes to help and you could be in line for a long time. I don't do the pharmacy here so i have no say on that. The store itself in my opinion is much nicer and set up better than the Gardena one i go to. Lots of parking and a Starbucks in the same center which is a plus. I really have no issues with this place only when the line is long and no other workers come to help with the check out is the only gripe i have but it's not often. read more

I love this particular CVS because everyone is so nice and try their best to accommodate my needs. Toni, a pharmacy technician called 6 other CVS to see if the other location carry my prescription. Himer, the Pharmacist looked up to see if there was a generic kind, and when there wasn't he talked to my doctor twice in 10 minutes to help me. When I came back after getting a coffee, he was already filling the new prescription. Thank you everyone~! read more

I had the bad experience with the pharmacy counter staff (I think her name is Shiela). How do they even find someone that rude and unprofessional to work at the pharmacy counter? She is not only rude but also doesn't seem to know what she is doing. She doesn't listen or answer questions. She can only utter a very few uninformative response in yelly voice. She looks miserable working there. I felt so sorry for the old lady in front of me who was asking questions but had a bit trouble with language. Then she also talked to me in yelly voice and angry mannerism. Then she missed to write some information in vaccine card and when I asked to add it, she murmured who needs such information. Wow! This CVS is under staffed! If they happen to answer the phone it would be amazing! Once staff is able to help, they are very nice. Laura is a doll. Very helpful. Went in today to get some prescriptions and really appreciated how hard everyone is working there. They have adequate amount of staff working safely with each other and were really kind in helping me today. This has been my go-to CVS for years. I'm devastated that the pharmacy is no longer 24/7! Going in the middle of the night was super convenient for me. I can't imagine going to any other CVS in the middle of the night, but I guess I'm gonna have to read more

I had a terrible experience today at the register with Yesenia and Cade. They claimed to be the store supervisors but really acted as untrained staffs who are defensive and rude. I went to the register to buy a couple of items with a $5 coupon, knowing my bill will be just a couple of dollars. I was surprised that Yesenia didn't ask for the CVS card nor my phone#. She told me it's $7 something. I said, that's not right, did you use the coupon. She said rudely: I already scanned the coupon and everything is correct. I told her to recheck and said the coupon must have not been taken somehow. Then she realized something wrong and said defensively: I will fix it, don't yell at me. Then Cade also chipped in, saying "don't yell, she will fix it". I told her: I didn't yell at all, just telling you that you made a mistake. She replied: everyone makes mistakes! Seriously? She made a mistake and when I pointed it out, she insisted she did everything correct. I pushed her to check and when she found out she was wrong, she not only didn't apologize but defensively accuse me of yelling? Is that how the clerks here are trained to treat customers - putting blames on customer for their own mistakes? And that Cade person, they cover each other's back when dealing with customer complaints! If you made a mistake, you should say I am sorry, let me fix it for you. I come here now to pick up my medications. The staff has always been very kind and friendly to me and very willing to help or answer any questions that I have. Since this is the only 24 hour pharmacy in the area, of course lines are going to be a little long but I've send them open extra windows to help get customers through. Even with a packed line, they were able to help me after 15 minutes and the wait time to pick up my medicine was only 20! That's enough time to go next door and enjoy a cup of coffee while you wait. When I was younger and impatient I didn't like this place, but now-a-days they provide excellent service even if there is a wait time. I've had workers apologize for the wait, but they should never apologize for being busy! It happens! Any one that says they have had bad service recently, maybe they have, but if they are busy and start giving attitude to the workers for it, the. Avoid getting your RX filled at this pharmacy. My Rx was waiting in a stack of faxes that they failed to input in to their system in a timely manner, only to be turned away 3-4 times telling me that they did not have my RX. I ended up calling the Dr's office, who told me to keep them on the line while I went back to the Pharmacy counter to ask them to look through the faxes, and sure enough my RX was sitting in a large pile 4 hrs later. It's one thing to be busy, but to be completely rude and unhelpful while I was the only one waiting was completely uncalled for. read more

This pharmacy is HORRIBLE. I called as instructed BY THE PHARMACY to REFILL my pain medication that I have been taking for TWO YEARS & REFILLING AT THE SAME PHARMACY. Now I have to wait until they get it back in stock. EVERY MONTH since July 2019 I've had to call them for pain meds refilled for a chronic condition which will NEVER get better. I've frequented this pharmacy numerous times, but never really thought much about this place until today. It has great prices, especially on liquor. I signed up for its customer rewards program, and although the coupons have a short lifespan, the program is decent. I believe this is under new management. The staff's attitudes are friendly and welcoming. The manager is very hands on, and conscious of all that's going on. I know better than to be distracted while handling a currency transaction, but I was. Hence, I couldn't recall whether the cashier gave me my change. He offered to count his entire drawer! I told him it's fine. The manager standing a couple of registers away instructed him to take down my number so that he can call me if there's an overage. read more

While I appreciate the fact this pharmacy is open 24 hours, I should not have to wait on hold on two separate lines just to try to talk to someone to find out if an antibiotic is ready for my sick 14 month old. I've been on hold for an hour now and was told on the second call that it would be another hour. Two hours to wait on hold!?! I get better service at the DMV. Also, I waited in line for almost 30 minutes to drop off the prescription and was told that corporate was taking the system down for maintenance. They didn't know how long it would be down but sometime between 30 minutes and 4 hours. Taking the system down on a weekend for a 24 hour pharmacy where there is going to be a heavy volume of traffic is incredibly poor planning. They said to call and find out if the prescription was ready before coming back. I was quoted roughly 1-2 hours. I called at the hour and a half mark and here we are an hour later with no verification. This is not acceptable at any level and they need to have more staff on hand. This is already costing me an extra two hours for babysitting fees and I may just have to give up. read more

I used to love coming to this CVS Pharmacy but now I only come here when absolutely necessary. Almost every time I come here, I encounter one or many issues and leave here angry. I always have my prescriptions sent here and request that the pharmacy call me when my orders are ready to be picked up. Despite receiving these automated calls, there have been numerous times when I have made a trip out to CVS to pick them up only to find that they weren't actually ready. Then I am either forced to come back at another time or wait around awkwardly for my prescriptions to be ready. This has happened to me at least six times. So now I find myself having to call them to double and triple check if my prescriptions are actually ready. I do believe the pharmacy is severely understaffed. A few of the pharmacists are friendly, but most are not. I also do not care for the attitudes of the employees in the rest of the store. This one particular man (I believe he is the manager or a shift manager) is very rude and condescending. Yesterday when I stopped by, I even saw a man confronting this manager, who felt the same way as I do, saying "You seem to always be snippy with me, sir, every time I come here, you are very condescending to me and I don't know why." And all the manager had to say was "I haven't seen you a day in my life, why would I be snippy with you? I am snippy to no one!" And they continued to argue for about ten minutes. Seeing things like that only make me want to come here even less than I already do. The only reason why I haven't switched pharmacies is because this CVS is open 24 hours and very close to my house. I probably will end up switching to Target or Walgreens pretty soon. read more

Sooooooooo disappointed the pharmacy inside Target was taken over by CVS. I went years without an issue, happy with the friendly, knowledgeable staff. Now, not so much. I've had problem after problem. They have deals with certain suppliers, so all of a sudden, all of my generics have switched (and that's created a problem with one of my medications). Even though my doctor recommended they provide the previous generic, they never keep it in stock so there is always a wait. Target used to fill my prescriptions on time, and call me when ready. Now I will realize I'm completely out of a medication, rush in to find they have not filled it, and don't have it in stock. To top it off, CVS provides my number to outside marketing businesses. I ALREADY opted out when they first switched over from Target, and now 2 years later, they rewrote their policy and force me to first opt in, then call to opt out. On my drive home from the pharmacy, I already received a text from CVS. ARRRRGH! I'm done. I'm out. Switching pharmacies now. Maybe too late for my phone number, which apparently has already been sent out to marketers. (Grrrrrr) read more

I've tried to give this location the benefit of the doubt but today is the last straw. How can a pharmacy have so little consideration for their customers? I dropped off my RX at 2pm today. I let them know I would come back after work around 530pm. I show up, and I'm told only one of my two RX are ready and can I wait 10 more minutes. 20 minutes pass, no one shows any indication that my RX is ready. At 30 minutes, I am upset and take to standing at their counter. Late to pick up my daughter, late to get home for dinner. This has happened one too many times now and I've decided not to come here anymore. I miss Longs Drugs! They were so much better and their stores were so much nicer too! read more

I usually go here to get the necessities. you know what I mean. So it's not exactly a place I look forward to. I think other people feel the same way after checking the other reviews. The store looks OK and everything, but there is some bad feng shui lurking around. Tonight I went in because I needed a refrigerator light to bring my frig back to life. A frig without light is like pizza without cheese. why bother. might as well take a shower with out soap. Oh yeah, I had to get some shower gel too while I'm here. Hey, what's with the double price tags on the product shelves?! One regular white one and another bright yellow tag to make you think there is a sale. The weird thing is that the prices on both tags are the same. The yellowness of the tag makes me think "sale". But there is NO difference lol!! read more

If I could give this store less than one star, i would. I detest coming here and, as someone mentioned earlier, generally try take my business farther to the Ralph's off of Hawthorne and 182nd. The lines are always extremely long, in the pharmacy and otherwise. The cashiers are rude, but then again I don't really blame them because there is usually only one to two of them up front at any given time ringing up a line that is consistently over fifteen people long. Even though there is a deficit of cashiers actually doing their job, it seems like whole store's staff is always up front behind the counter milling around and doing anything BUT helping customers. 90% of the time I go here, I don't have a good experience. If people ask me for a good pharmacy, I usually refer them to the Ralph's that is just up the street (Hawthorne and 182nd) or the Target next to the Galleria...for the better service as well as lower prices. All in all, CVS just sucks (it was way better when it was Sav-on). read more

Cvs the store is notorious for knocking off every possible brand that has worked to make it on shelves, that in itself shows that CVS not only steals the ideas and cheapens the product, but if businesses continue down this route, imagine nothing but " cheap Products all made by one in house "private label...," that's really a regression in terms of new service and product diversity. Buy the brands or go to another store. Now to the main point, this pharmacy is the slowest pharmacy I have ever visited. Unfortunately, their service was absolutely horrible while they lacked care and consideration for their customers. I received less quantity for 2 of the 3 medications prescribed by the doctor to treat my health condition. When I had called in to share what had happened with their employee Sharon, her immediate response was, 'well there must have been a reason." What do you mean by that? What other reason could there be aside of the mistake that occurred on their part? Although I shouldn't have had to pay them another visit at 9:30pm while experiencing difficulties with my health condition under the medication I've been taking - Sharon did show any care. She was only concerned about clocking out and had told me it's not a big deal to miss a round of treatment because I should already be healing. My doctor had specifically instructed me to take TWO weeks worth of medication and they were short on the first week's quantity! How did Sharon diagnose my condition?!! Does Sharon have authority over what our doctors recommend us? During our entire conversation Sharon seemed upset towards me for being concerned about my health. Is this Sharon's mindset toward all other patients? I have tremendous respect for pharmacists but am worried for any other patients that visit this pharmacy especially if they need to pick up medication for their family members that require thorough attention. I'm reviewing just the pharmacy department.... The pharmacy here is extremely rude and no help when trying to fill my medication that required a pre-authorization. I explained to the Pharmacist that if she was having trouble I was given a 1- 800 number that she can call to speak the Express Scripts directly, and she refused to call them, she said that was the doctor's job, even though Express Scripts said the PHARMACY should call them if they were having issues. I called the CVS in redondo beach, and she said she would be happy to call that number, and they call phone numbers all the time when they are experiencing issues. So I'm going to transfer my medication over to another pharmacy that's nicer and more helpful. I have now been 2 weeks without my medication and this pharmacy is not helping the situation. As for the store portion of this CVS, it's ok. But the pharmacy - NEVER GOING BACK. I used it once years ago for a middle of the night emergency, and that time it was fairly fine, probably because there was no one else there. Used it again earlier this year... I debated a long time before writing a negative review, but preventing someone the same problem I met I think justifies it. I came here because it was the closest pharmacy to the dental surgeon I had a wisdom tooth removed from. When I turned in my pain killer prescription I mentioned the surgeon told me I needed it asap and the pharmacist told me 30 min. To be fair they were pretty packed that day, but if they give me a timeline I expect them to stick to it. 45 minutes later the local anesthesia wore off and I sat in their waiting area in a good deal of pain for another 20 minutes before they gave me my medication (which took another 20 minutes to take effect). I did return to the counter to ask about my prescription at the time they told me it would be ready and was told that mine was next. Don't think so dude. So if you have an urgent prescription to be filled, do not trust these guys. read more

Unbelievably slow I understand people are busy but seriously over two hours to fill a prescription is ridiculous. When I handed in my prescription I was quoted a time of 1 hour max, yet here we are 2.5 hours later and the pharmacist says we are about to start filling it now. People are sick and they shouldn't have to wait this long. After spending 4 hours in urgent care I really did not want to spend another 2.5 hours waiting for my medicine. This is by far the worst CVS Pharmacy I have ever been to. They had horrible additudes with customers, were more worried about what time they got off, and Uanita, one of the staff, was yelling at one of the other staff members. I felt that was beyond un-professional. She could have spoken to her in a nicer tone and let her know what she did wrong. She should of waited until she helped everyone in line before approaching her. I will not be returning to this pharmacy ever again. This spot is centrally located for me. I dig how they offer the CVS Brand for cheaper than the name brand. The CVS Brand never seems to be sold out. This location shares its parking lot with a HUGE strip mall. The staff here is fast when checking folks out. I have yet to see this location packed or with a long line. As many of the places that I shop, I am in and out quickly. read more

The worst. Bad service, indifferent staff. Wish I could give "0" stars. I have been a customer of this CVS since I moved to California and this place was a Sav-On, in 1987. It has always been pretty bad, but lately it has gotten worse. The pharmacy is understaffed and what staff they have do not prioritize prescriptions. Twice in the last 6 months, I dropped off a prescription was told it would be ready in 30 minutes and came back an hour later only to find it wasn't ready. Another 20 minutes (as they filled several prescriptions in the meantime) before I got the prescription. I do most of my prescriptions by mail, but for the ones I need to fill locally, I think I will probably start going to Ralphs or Walgreens. read more

This first half was written about two months ago. I decided to give them another try until today. 1/15/16 I use this CVS because it is 24 hours and about two minutes from my home. The pharmacists have always been friendly, although the line is slow and long majority of the time. I pick up medicine for my boyfriend and have been since August, full legal/medical POA documents have been presented in the past. Everyone has been so incredibly nice except for Sharon. I get a call from a technician asking to speak with my boyfriend. As usual, I tell them it's me, and carry on. This one tried to rush me off the phone by coldly saying "I can't speak to you, he needs to call me". My boyfriend suffered a massive stroke last May and has limited language and motor skills. I informed this woman (while she kept cutting me off) that he could not speak, and I should be on file since I already have all my documents in order and have picked up the prescriptions almost every two weeks. I went in and made the biggest yelling fuss because while I was in line, she was on the phone being just as rude to other customers. Here's the thing, if she wasn't such a rude see you next Tuesday, I would have reacted differently. This industry is to serve and help sick people, and just because the elderly can't be aggressive and speak for themselves, doesn't mean everyone will sit and take it. I've never been treated like this at any pharmacy ever, maybe it's an LA thing? 3/17/16 today I called to try and confirm if the pharmacist had followed up with our Doctor regarding prescription approval. I had submitted some medicine (one for kidney failure and muscle relaxer) 5 DAYS AGO. As a stroke patient, my boyfriend suffers extreme spasticity if he does not have the drug baclofen. The Calcium Acetate is for his failing kidneys, those two are probably the most important ones he needs daily. I speak to Sharron (ugh) after waiting over an hour on hold. She first keeps telling me that calcium is over the counter after I told her 3 times CALCIUM ACETATE and the she understood. Great listening skills girl. You have the computer right in front of you, how is it so hard to connect the dots? She then tells me she'll fax over the request. WHAT THE FUCK. This should have been done SUNDAY. I asked her why it hasn't even been done AFTER I WAS TOLD IT WAS. She said she didn't know and it was the first time talking to me. Fair enough, I avoid her like I avoid STDs, it really was the first time speaking with her about this particular situation. This pharmacy has dropped the ball yet again, this time in an extremely irresponsible manner. Currently, I am waiting for the doctor's office receptionist to get back from lunch so I can transfer all medications to Walgreens. The Sharon thing two months ago was beyond unacceptable, yet I gave them a try like an idiot. This time, not even doing the job of contacting the doctor for almost a week is straight bullshit. Everyone accept that one pharmacist is very nice. It's a shame I need to transfer these, because there were 4 or 5 of them I really enjoyed chatting with. I think this pharmacy could be great if they were more organized or better staffed. Long lines and phone times paired with some rude people is a headache I won't miss. Overall, avoid this pharmacy, the Yelp reviews are accurate. Walgreens across from the galleria has always been pleasant. read more
