It took me four trips to this 24 hour CVS store pharmacy to obtain my medication!:-(. What's frustrating is the routine disconnection between my primary care physician and this pharmacy. They point fingers at each other, and the prescription isn't expeditiously filled. I would just as soon have my prescriptions sent via mail, but from what I gather that delivery system is also fraught with problems. read more

This is THE WORST PHARMACY! It used to be great! There is no urgency whatsoever. The drive-thru is a joke. They intentionally keep you waiting in line in hopes that you give up and walk in. You can't get to a live person. They DONT callback when they are supposed to! The lunch break is from 1:30 until 2pm but they seem to get lazy around 1pm. I had my vaccination appointment on 2/27/25 at 10.30 AM. I arrived at the store 5 minutes early and reported at Vaccination counter right away. The lady acknowledged my appointment and asked me to wait. Pharmacist will be calling me shortly. I remined her at 10.45 am that no one has called me. I have other appointments after this one outside and must leave. She went and told Pharmacist to take care of me. Pharmacist had no respect for appointments. he didn't care and was doing every thing else. Finally when I approached again, he showed up 1/2 hr late. Your Pharmacist has no respect for appointments and thinks we are at his mercy. I am done with CVS. I have tried RiteAid, WallGreen and Walmart with much better service. read more

Getting service here is the absolute worse. I called the pharmacy and had to "hold" for 1 HOUR and 10 MINUTES! It wasn't until over an hour into the call that someone FINALLY picked up the phone quickly and said "thank you for holding," and they put me immediately on hold. Once someone finally picked up the phone, they told me the prescription could be done in an hour and a half. I arrived at least 1 hour and 45 min later. They told me it would be ready in ... 1 hour and a half. HOW SWAY?! In person, service is slow at the pharmacy as well, which is more understandable as I'm sure there are various protocols they must follow to insure the right meds are going to put to folks - BUT TO NOOOOT PICK UP THE PHONE AT ALL IN THE COURSE OF AN HOUR is bad. Only after waiting 40 minutes past the time the CVS system generated text told me my simple prescription would be ready did I understand. This CVS is hit or miss. Just like with most other locations, this location can be amazing at morning and evening hours but super swamped and a discombobulated location at all other hours. This could be because of the lite staffing, the high volume area that it serves, etc. We have medication for our dog that we pick up from this location once a month. We've utilized both the drive through and the in-store checkout to get her prescription. Some days it's super speedy and there aren't any issues. Other days, it's an absolute disaster. Overall, I give this location four stars due to the amount of crazies it has to deal with as well with appearing to be as understaffed as they are. This is a healthhub location as well which gives customers the options for essentially doctors visits and routine shot administration. It's a clean and well organized location but I do hope that they find ways to work out peak hour rushes. read more

If I could give -5 stars I would. I am a trans woman and the customer service I got last night in regards to my medication refill is down right transphobic. The rep demanded to know what happened to my medication. And when I didn't answer her question. She laughed and said okay sir. Then she hung up after she said oh I guess he hung up. So I called back and asked to speak to a manager. Was put on hold. Where the same rep got on the line and still called me sir... I informed her I am in female... she then mumbled something under her breath about something between my legs... like what the hell is wrong with this place?!?! CVS should be ashamed of this store! Tested me for COVID, asked me basically every question under the sun like 3 times because the assistant and the nurse couldn't be bothered to look at each other's info or notes. When it came back positive I had them send the prescription to my PCM to get it and then I had to drive there just to be told that CVS never even sent it. Tried calling to figure out what happened, and the CVS clinic doesn't even have a phone number, and the pharmacy just hung up on me when I asked how to fix it. read more

On the positive side, they are open 24 hours. Also, there are times you get through the line fast and they get things done fast, because they are well staffed. This is when things work. More often than things don't work. For one prescription, I've had to call eight times to run into multiple problems. The system is gets confused and wastes a lot of your time. Then, I've been on hold for an excessive amount of time, or most often they don't even pick up; this is true of any time slot including the morning. For one medication, you can expect to lose more than two hours of your time on hold and three hours total. More often than not, I have given up and transferred my prescription to a non-preferred pharmacy. read more

The staff at the CVS on 1001 York Road is excellent. They are polite, respect us as patients, and go out of the way to help with issues like PAs, drug shortages, insurance questions, etc. I love the 24 hour availability which makes wait times shorter than other pharmacies not open 24 hours. I recommend going to the pharmacy rather than calling, as the wait times for calls can get long, but that is everywhere, not just at this CVS. In fact, I think the wait times are less since they are opened 24 hours and you can call early in the morning before the rush (6 am). 5 stars well reserved. read more

Horrible CVS location! The store is small and dirty and the pharmacy is atrocious. The lines for pharmacy are insane, they constantly change pharmacists, drive thru is not always open, and you cannot reach the pharmacy by phone. Several times when I put an order in online, it never got filled. This is a high density area with two colleges close by, apartments and high density housing. How has CVS been able to run this junk store this long? I went to the CVS in Perry Hall for years and never had these kinds of issues. read more

I went in to pick up important medications and i had interacted with the male, dark skinned pharmacist with a thick accent. when they don't know an answer they make one up to get you out of their face and makes you feel like your an imposition on their day. I called to ask about why they had told me what they did and the pharmacist said "I can't help you" and hung up the phone without asking any information to look anything up. While standing in line the pharmacist was also treating other people very disrespectfully making snyde comments as they walked away because they asked about a flu shot. This CVS has to be one of the worst pharmacies. I NEVER write reviews on businesses but I have repeatedly been let down by this pharmacy. They take a week to fill prescriptions, will send you a message to come and pick them up and THEN tell you that a prescription in that order is OUT OF STOCK. This has happened to me four times. I started having my doctor expedite important prescriptions, giving them 24 hours to fill and even then I show up to get my meds and they tell me they don't have what I need. I never receive a call about them running out of things nor do they answer their phone so I can check before I drive here. DO NOT USE THIS PHARMACY UNLESS YOU WANT TO WAIT A WEEK FOR A PRESCRIPTION. I was up visiting friends in PA last week and a mutual friend was celebrating her birthday on Sunday with the third party of the weekend, thats how my friends roll ;). I did not get the initial invite because I am not in state and she did not know I would be up... and I believe that story so I am sticking with it ;). However, her sister invited me on Facebook, so it made it official! Since I was running late on everything and was not prepared it was time to improvise and find someplace that has gift cards and a card. "The Good" - The only thing better than a Hallmark store is a CVS... this is because they have at least row rows devoted to people who care enough to send the very best! - In a move of marketing genius, the end caps for these rows (opposite) so you will see them when you are headed out of the card aisle are gift cards of all kinds... All Kinds! After finding a musical Birthday card with the hamster dance: http://youtu.be/p3G5IXn0K7A and an Outback gift Card I made my way to the checkout. - The girl at the checkout was very nice and able to joke around on a very busy Sunday afternoon. "The Meh" - Nothing really Meh... "The Bad" - For people that know how to direct the flow of traffic for a customer, they really stink at getting the people in some semblance of a line to get out of the joint. We wind up standing in front of the photo station and the scanners, and if they are being used it makes it difficult to find the right place to stand. In addition the aisles have people coming out of them that are still trying to shop. It seems like an easy fix but good luck getting corporate to listen to people that actually know whats going on in retail.... fire the Ops goofball that made design sign off on this one. read more

If you want to talk to this pharmacy on the phone you have to use the doctor line. Otherwise you will just be hung up on the patient line after 30 minutes and have to call back and hope you get through on the second time but usually the third time is the charm. read more

Worst CVS and pharmacy I have ever been to. I'm honestly shocked this place has not been shut down...reading the reviews about how many people reported this location to corporate, including myself. I have given this pharmacy many chances. Each time my prescription was called in, it has taken days to fill. There have been countless times where I have run out of my prescription and was unable to get my refill in time, leaving me without my prescription for multiple days at a time. This is unacceptable. Even when I have tried to call the pharmacy directly, I am placed on hold for 30+ minutes JUST to get in contact with someone. I've had to call CVS customer care many times just to have my calls escalated to actually reach a person at the pharmacy. The people who answer the phone are rude and snappy - as if I am an inconvenience to them by asking to get my script filled in a timely manner. This should not be how things are run. There is nothing fast, easy, convenient, or even remotely simple about the way this place operates. In addition when they finally DO refill the prescriptions, the drive thru line as well as the line insides are always incredibly long. The drive thru line often overflows into the main road making it dangerous for other cars to pass. I literally dread having to go pick up my prescriptions here. Its the absolute worst. This location is an absolute disaster. I've wasted so much of my time being a CVS customer here. I've since transferred my prescriptions to another pharmacy. Do NOT use this place. Literally called 5x and got disconnected, then tried to reach out as a prescriber. This is ridiculous, if the audio system is not effective, or if you are on break, say so. I am done with CVS. At the Pikesville store, my doctor called in the antibiotics and they never bothered to send a text that they would not have it until MAYBE Tuesday until I called today. I don't go here often, but late last year I came here to get my picture taken to renew my passport. It took very little time to do, and my picture came out great. Plus, the picture was accepted with my application. I have no complaints, so I recommend them for passport pictures. Made vaccine booster appt online for 4 pm. Arrived at 3:55. Window labeled "Vaccine Check-in" had plywood blocking it. Stood online at Consultation window for about ten minutes to check-in to be registered on computer as "Arrived." Told to sit on chairs "to be called". Four chairs against wall - definitely not socially distanced and people on all of them. It's now 4:20 and have not been called. No sign of anyone behind counter prepping vaccines. They're all busy serving prescription counter customers. Why make an appointment if no one at CVS will honor the time? read more

The "speak to a pharmacist" option was routed to a closed voicemail but after I hit "check prescription status" and had the "speak to a pharmacist" option again, I was able to get put immediately on hold for 47 minutes before they just disconnected me, without speaking to anyone, just hold to disconnected. This is a routine method for dealing with phone calls at this location. I just wanted to know why my prescription I requested yesterday online is still listed "in process" before I show up in person. I need the medicine and I know there will be some problem when I show up. This pharmacy has been awful for years but my insurance forces me to go to CVS and this is the closest one to me. read more

This store is a disaster. I just waited in line 45 minutes at the drive thru. When I got to the window I had to push the bell 3 times before a tech came and told me the drive thru was closed and pointed to a sign at the far left of the window. I said no that was not acceptable because I had just waited 45 minutes. Shut the window in my face. I went inside. Two techs scrolling through a phone and laughing doing nothing. No one in line inside. The look in their faces was priceless. The pharmacist who told them to close the window explained that someone had gone home and they were short staffed so they closed the window. There were 7 cars still waiting in that line when I left. I waited an hour for my COVID booster two weeks ago. I sat and watched the woman who was to give it to me behind the pharma area for that hour. When I finally asked who was going to give me the shot - she got a bit red and then said she had been helping someone. Uhm....I was sitting there for an hour watching you chatting. Waited an hour in the phone two days ago to speak with a pharmacist. The place is a mess. I have contacted corporate. It would be very helpful if others who experience crap at this store would do the same. read more
