On March 18, I came to Austin pharmacy in Cockeysville with a prescription for diabetic shoes from Dr, Sean Sider. ( I have been there previously for 2 other pair of shoes in two different years when I was a patient of Dr, Terry). In the past,there was no problem. This time it somehow got screwed up royally by the salesperson who waited on me and sent whatever she needed to Dr, Terry (who is retired). END OF STORY: I AM STILL WAITING FOR THOSE SHOES. Needed expensive medication and was referred to Austin's for their more reasonable prices. I was greeted when I entered and directed to the pharmacy. My doctor had, in fact, not sent my prescription over. The pharmacist was super polite I waited in their small waiting area for my doctor to send the prescription, she let me know when she received it and was filled within minutes. While waiting, several people came in and were greeted, as I was. Two people wanted to get fitted for knee compression sleeves (there are "fits" beyond what walmart provides?!). Overall the service and prices here far exceeded what we've come to believe we deserve when going to the big, corporate pharmacies. Will be excited to come back again. Highly recommend. First let me say I called the store in hunt valley and spoke to Chris who was very helpful friendly and professional! He listened to what items I was looking for and how soon I could get them and whether they delivered or not. He explained that the company did bill insurance and they could deliver the items to my home. I explained I would be out around the Towson area and he promptly called the Towson location for the items I needed and had them hold them for me. I will say I give him 5/5 for customer service and knowledge of DME I needed. Thanks Chris! Now to the Towson location-the parking was very tight and although on York rd, if your not familiar with the area you can drive past it-fortunately I took back roads and didn't miss the store. The staff is friendly and helpful and very knowledgeable about the DME I was picking up & had it ready for me at the counter to make my trip quick and easy. Only issue was my debit card through insurance company did not work with their older style credit card machine. However they do bill insurance which is a huge perk. Otherwise I would have to pay full price then put in my receipts for reimbursement from insurance! Overall I got everything I needed & recommend this company for anyone who needs DME & has insurance coverage. Definitely 5/5 in every aspect! read more

Austin's has a nice selection of specialized health care needs and assistive devices. When we walked in, one of the people who worked there helped us pick out what we needed after my ankle surgery. She wasn't the most friendly and didn't seem like she ever smiled, but was definitely helpful. read more

I don't understand why anybody would use any other pharmacy,,,Michelle and Kim the pharmacists are the most helpful courteous pharmacists I have ever dealt with ; they will contact your doctors office and obtain refills and have your medication delivered right to your door usually the next day( Rite aid had a revolving door of pharmacists, would deny having a medication in stock (when they in fact had it on hand) , would deny the refill request was made ,had to wait in line while the on duty pharmacist also took in coming calls, and sometimes waited weeks for approval for reorders....if you need help with walkers , canes etc, the young man Seth is most helpful and always welcoming....there is nothing that compares to this local business ....5 stars for a 10 star business,,, read more

I was transferred directly to a wound care nurse who talked me through the process nd helped me choose the best product, covered by my insurance.
